Always really tasty and hot food and excellent service and delivery. Never had anything to complain about. Been having food from here for over 4 years and recommended to loads of friends, and they all say the same..."Best Indian food takeaway in the area".

Don't waste your money .We ordered 3 portions of chips that weren't fresh and were yesterday's reheated ..disgusting.. The chicken maylane we ordered had only 2 bits of chicken and the sauce was bland ... all ended up in the bin ..rang to complain and basically got told I was lying..and the chips were cooked 10 mins ago ..which was wrong . Not very helpful or friendly .Definitely won't be going back

Very disappointed with our meal tonight .Chips were old and not fresh ..rang spoke to air my concerns .They wernt bothered and just said the chips were cooked 10 mins ago as if I was lying ..£19.20 for 3 portions of stale old hard chips that were not fresh ( probably yesterdays chips reheated )and 1 curry a nan and 2 poppadoms... Safe to say I won't be returning

My food was amazing!! It showed up very quick and food was piping hot. The guy I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant too. Well done guys

Regular customer as food is lovely, however been a few times things from orders have been missed and I had ordered a mixed grill pizza & was sent a masala pizza.

Ordered 6pm stated 40 mins Asked at 7.15 why no food. said no drivers, no apology or to ring and say it would be delayed. when I rung to complain and wanted refund they then rang back to rectify but to late as special occasion ruined. Will never use again. terrible customer service as show no remorse Avoid

Ordered the pizza box with chicken tikka and doner. It was mainly chips and doner which, if you love doner meat, you get loads but only three bits of chicken and padded out with chips. Chips weren't great! Delivery well over an hour unfortunately

Never again, all the food seemed to be heated up from yesterday the onion bhaji's shattered they were that hard also the chips were dry and rock solid with only one of the curry's tasting alright so we ended up throwing it all in the bin. Won't be going back

Bears no resemblance to the meals prepared by family members from the Indian subcontinent. The meat was not fresh and had been precooked, with the sauces added; the onion of the onion rice was boiled not fried. Not an experience I will repeat.

We received an offer for 50% off on Friday if ordered between 17:30 and 18:30. There was a link which took me to the order page where I placed my orders. The website crashes several times while I processed my order by the time it was sent it was one minute late and no discount was applied. I rang the diner to complain and was told that the offer only applied to orders over £40. At no stage during the process was I made aware of this and there was no link to any t&cs Needless to say I cancelled the order straight away. Diner, if you’re going to advertise offers then either honour them or make your conditions clear.

Excellent service tonight. 3 Indian pizzas were delicious I neva eat a full pizza but tonight I did kids enjoyed there's too. Delivery driver was lovley she was happy and bubbly keen to chat 😁 defo 10/10 highly recommended.

Haven’t had an Indian takeout in a while but as it’s New Year’s Eve and we can’t go anywhere, decided to get the set menus£20 for two but easily enough for three, was an excellent choice . Can’t understand bad reviews, was ready within 30 mins despite being extremely busy.

Ordered at 6pm and was told delivery would take about an hour. 7:30 still no food so tried to ring but they were engaged. Finally got through to be told it was 10 minutes away. About 40 minutes passed and still no food. Rang again and they told us that they had just started cooking it! At 8:45 the food FINALLY arrived! The curry’s and chips were ok but the onion bhajis and naan breads were freezing cold. Do not recommend this takeaway.

We always go here for our weekend takeaway pizza and they’re always quick, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff we have dealt with have always been so lovely and spot on. Last week I ordered a pepperoni and bolognaise pizza and they missed the pepperoni so I rang up to query it and the lovely guy I spoke to couldn’t have been more apologetic and he said he’d remember and next time we wanted to order we could have a free pizza. Credit where credits due I rang up last night to order and he’d remembered my order and even our address. Food arrived quickly, piping hot and was excellent. Well done The Diner!!

Keep your hard earned cash , do not get any food from here Keema nan rubbish Rice was ok Lamb Karia was bright red never ever have I had one this colour Butter chicken was orange and the chicken processed So disappointed this was our first take away in lockdown and what a waste ..... what a load

Tried these on 3 occasions now food wasn't bad 1st time but gradually got worse over the course of the 3 times. The main problem is that on every occasion they messed up our order every time on nan breads They went from either being a plain nan when we had ordered keema nan (twice) which wasn't the end of the world too not even bothering to send them on our last occasion which to me is criminal as that's the part of food/cuisine an INDIAN meal is famed for.So just goes to show they didn't even check what they had put in the bag/delivery before sending it out. Suffice to say we won't be using them again we shall go to another takeaway that delivers not only the RIGHT order but also the FULL order.

Try the Curry Boxes. That's all I'll say 😁

Absolutely delicious food, always piping hot (cannot abide a warm Indian takeaway) always fresh and brilliant value for money! Chicken Habib is my fave curry from here! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

I will never order from hear again.they have lost a good customer .I ordered chicken madras chicken tikka rice 2 cartons of curry sauce and a pizza meal deal.my chicken madras carton was bashed as they didn't pack my food properly and the lid caved in I didn't lose any of my curry in the bag as it was only half full.i rang them and told them they can come and pick the curry up as I wanted it replaced, they said that they would come with a new curry in 25 minutes, then after an hour I rang them to see where my meal was.they then told me I was a liar and there was nothing wrong with my curry.they had no intention of replacing my curry .I have added a photo in with this review to show everyone what kind of scum bags they are.i should of known better really as this takeaway was originally closed down and then re opend.instead try the Chinese takeaway next door if you want nice quality food

Very quick from ordering to collection, never tried the delivery service. Food is always piping hot and lovely. Anything on a deal never has loads of the protein but lots of the sauce, no complaints as the deals are super cheap. Naan bread is aways lovely. Only real negative is they always burn the poppadoms so avoid them! Friendly staff a little gem of a find.

Absolutely disgusting.Waited far longer than specified for delivery.charged extra for delivery (dont know how they worked the milage out).2 items missing rest of food was clay cold and looked like it had been dropped into the bag from a great height as nearly every carton was broke.Do not waste your money!!

Have had a few Takeaways from here in the past. Has one on 29/12/18 and was disgusting. The Bhajis were slightly bigger than a Meat Ball, and couldn't cut them, the Bhuna had about 3 pieces of Chicken in and was horrible, the Rice was ok, the Naan Bread was burnt, so most of the Meal went in the Bin

Phoned for meal querter to 6 told them I was diabetic was told half hour to 45 miniutes for delivery so took insulin 6.15 as food was due at half past and 6.50 still no show phone the restaurant to ask were it was to be told they missed placed the order and it will be another 20 to 25 minutes for delivery so told them to cancel the order as my sugars were low and I needed to make food straight away they just put the phone down on me. Would never recommend the diner to anyone dangerous for diabetics

Me and my family ordered a few different meals from The Diner as we could not decide what we wanted. We had heard great reviews, and having not been here before decided to give it a go. In hindsight I wish we had never tried it! The kebab meat tasted very funny and was definitely not all compelelty lamb, the chips were stale and tasted very fishy and the naan bread that the kebabs came in were soggy from the three lettuce leaves that they called a salad. The tikka chicken kebab was basically just onion and their version of a donner kebab tasted disgusting! Their only redeeming feature was the masala sauce in their masala munchie box which was by far the most edible thing we reciveved! We will definitely not be ordering from there again, especially since we have all felt violently sick since eating it !!

We normally have our Indian takeaway from our local walker shop but we thought we would try someone else. .. The meal turned up on time and delivered by a very friendly local lad...he even closed the gate after himself... Starters consisted of the usual suspects. ..poppadoms. .onion bhaji and a diner kebab.. lime pickle perfect.. Main meal of tandoori chicken.. balti sauce and plain rice... more than enough for two of us...especially with a very flavoursome garlic nan... plenty leftovers for a snack the next day.. Would recommend this take away to any lover of fine Indian cuisine. ..

Had food a few times from the Diner always well pleased with the food Gluten free also , my son went last night and on leaving dropped his wallet outside the owner found and returned it today, So well done on having really nice food but also for been real nice guys 👍..

I had the chicken tikka pizza and it was very good.

Poorest chicken tikka I’ve ever had. It had been no where near a tikka oven.. just colored red. Rice ok.

We always go for the special set meal for 20quid. Feeds 4 of us. Masala and Madras both lovely with right amount of spices. Chicken tikka starter is always super. Def recommend The DINER!

Proper Donner kebab made with a man and not the cheap rubbish Donner meat you get elsewhere.

Every time I order a mixed wrap and a chicken tikka meal I only get 1 lot of mint sauce and salad ( you are meant to get 1 with each meal)

Always collect as we live close by. Food is made fairly quickly and staff are friendly enough. Ordered from them on multiple occasions and I couldn't say a bad word about the food except on one occasion in which my chicken was a bit gritty. Otherwise, a great takeaway.

Food arrived 45 mins late, when we called the shop they deducted £1.60 from our bill (whilst poor delivery driver was stood at our door)!!!!! Needless to say the food was sent back to the shop!! DO NOT order from the diner if you expect food to turn up on time or even slightly late (through no fault of the driver as it had been sent out with 6 other orders for between Whitley bay and North Shields)!!!

the staff were very friendly, the place was also nice and clean, and the atmosphere was very good, but most importantly my curry was absolutely delicious!! chicken pathia, egg pilau rice and a freshly made garlic naan, thankyou so much a great experience,mr wood

Disappointing! Ordered food as its close to our home, told the company were only 10 doors away however still charged delivery, food was mediocre, the tikka masala was lacking any flavour of almond of coconut only a funky taste of root vegetables and harsh chilli was apparent. We will be going back to our usual takeaway in monksheaton spice junction as they make traditional authentic Indian cuisine.

I went here tonight as the takeaway I normally go to in Blyth Spartan Spice was closed. I always have the same meal at whichever Indians I go to , but I was not impressed at all with the chicken tikka masala or the onion Palau rice the best part was the plain naan bread . Needless to say I won't be going back .Spartan Spice takes some beating
