First time here. Lovely staff, great food, fast service. Atmosphere is great also. Thank you.

Waitress was being passive aggressive. Sighed loudly when i hadnt enough money out of my wallet, asked her to change the channel of the tv (we were the only ones in the place) and refused. didnt know if she was having a bad day or anything else because she would not speak to us other than ordering food. I would have understood her if we were the last customers and she was waiting for us to leave but it was 5 pm on a wednesday! Plus it was £130 for 3 starters 4 mains 1 dessert + 5 drinks.

Great food & drinks in a lovely bar & grill.

Garlic potatoes must have been fried in the same oil as fish as they tasted very fishy. Chips were more like scraps, with very few whole chips. Steak was very dry and leathery, peppercorn sauce boat was only half full. We had to try to catch the servers eye to ask for the table to be cleared, when the scrappy chips were pointed out she said “sorry about that” and walked away. The chicken carbonara was very good and plenty of it. The food here is usually quite good, but we were disappointed on this occasion.

Great pub meals. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you go here for a meal and a drink or two.

Great food, great atmosphere. Only negative is that they have signs saying no vaping or smoking allowed, yet people vaping...

I eat here often, and while the food is generally nice, I felt this evening it was only average. Service was much slower than usual, and the servings were smaller and less visually appealing than usual. Maybe it was just a blip...

Food was ok, just what you'd expect from a simple pub. But honestly I think the staff have been trained to avoid eye contact and avoid general good service. We didn't want anything fancy but just a normal level of civility.

Arrived without a booking and we were still accommodated straight away, staff are lovely and the food is fabulous, big portions and everything tastes amazing!

Went on a Saturday afternoon for some lunch. Didn't have a booking but rang 10mins before hand and was able to be seated with 4 adults and 2 children! Excellent service for such short notice. Food was amazing and staff couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend the cosh for a lovely lunch, plus they played the football on the huge screens

Had a 40th birthday party last night. Absolutely brilliant venue for a party. Everything was amazing from the room to the customer service and the food was amazing and no shortage of food and plenty to choose from. Everyone was buzzing.even had a slide show facility, You Couldn't get anywhere better than the cosh.10/10. especially want to thank the girl manager can't remember her name but she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Can't thank you enough for an amazing night

Well, chicken wings was to dry and no bowl of water or even wet tissue for fingers after them, Nachos never have served like this, and with tacos crisps 😁 that's not a Nachos 😁 chef must be joking there, and on the end who serves daiquiri with so small straw... Wasn't able to enjoy my drink as I wait while it melts 🙂 thanks

Frist time in the Cosh and from the time I went through the door we where made very welcome .As for are food it was beautiful and I am a very fussy eater. 👍.

Big menu and good food. Portions a bit smaller than expected but delicious. Serving staff very nice. Came on a weekday night and the pub was basically empty by 8 pm, so it’s very much a dinner oriented place.

I was an invited guest to the Cosh bar after the funeral of a family member ,yesterday ,refreshments booked for 2pm. only to be told that the Cosh bar was not ready and that the manager put the blame on the kitchen .We waited for a while but to the disappointment of the family of the bereaved the booked food did not arrive and therefore we were forced to find another restaurant and due to the professional staff on the nearby Molly Malones we had a very good experience especially at such short notice. I feel that due to the attitude of the Cosh staff there is no way that I would ever recommend that venue for a function again. Personally I feel that the owners of this establishment owe the bereaved family at least an explanation and an apology

Incredibly disappointed with how the Cosh managed the funeral reception for our late auntie. Treating my other aunts horribly after inquiring about why the food was over an hour late, when we were told it would be only 5 minutes upon arrival. Also horrific behaviour from the manger, who was speaking terribly about our grieving family and blaming other members of staff for their poor management of the function room. Also using the excuse of this was planned too late notice, when is there a good time to plan a reception after a family member suddenly passes away? The lack of empathy and respect was unbelievable, we decided to leave and not be treated like this any further. Considering this was for a funeral service, this is unacceptable and inexcusable. I advise no one seek the cosh for any sort of function under this current management. This only added more sorrow to our day.

My mother in laws review below speaks for itself. After such a hard day on the family with the funeral of their sister, to then be blamed and have this on their grieving conscience from a heartless manager was truly a disgrace. I hope this becomes a lesson and turning point for the establishment. A deep reflection is needed for empathy and compassion from whoever was in charge. Her review: "Feeling completely let down and disappointed . We organised food to be served after our sisters funeral today at The Cosh Bar & Grill. Food to be served at 2pm all organised. I messaged back we might be a early as it’s a cold day but that sounds good. We arrived in good time and waited. We had the members from Stage Beyond Theatre Company who were so important to the day, and we had told their families they would be having lunch with us, we had parents, who needed to pickup kids from school . We asked and inquired as to when the food would be served. Five minutes they said. Food never arrived. It ended up with the manager pointing the finger at the kitchen staff. And blaming us for a last minute booking ( it was funeral) and we contacted them on Monday we were reminded it was very last minute. I have never encountered a more unprofessional setup in my life . The manager pointed the blame at the kitchen staff , in all my years In catering, the buck stops with the manager. We were blamed, accused and embarrassed. It’s up to the manager to sort it out. We didn’t need blame ,we needed service. We booked with the options they gave us. So go and sort out your management. Do not let the customer have to try and sort things out after burying their sister. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE."

What a gem of a place. Food is so good and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed our visit. If you want tasty food with good service and atmosphere and reasonably priced, this is the place for you.

Had a lovely meal here with my brother and sister on the 27th December. Have to say the Guinness was amazing and food was spot on no complaints. Definitely will be back again soon!!

Our first time here today (29-10-23), although we have passed this pub a thousand times as we live in the area. Happy that we went. Great atmosphere, prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. The food was real nice. Some real good pub food, and there is a lot to choose from. We'll be back for sure... 😊

Thank you to Martin and his mother, for looking after our family and friends, after my father's funeral. The food and service was 1st class. The "no problem", "can do" attitude , in organising and in looking after us on the day, was refreshing and supportive at what was a difficult time for us. Stopped in on the way to Sligo. Excellent lunch. Chilli beef open sandwich was great with the right amount of spice. Staff was wonderful with a great ambiance.

Solid food, American twist on Irish food. Good prices for a lot of food. Plenty of TVs of your in for a match.

Food and value for money very good. Staff a bit over enthusiastic about taking a drinks order before I was properly seated...same with food order. Apart from that it was fine.

Food and service were both excellent. Really reasonable for the quality of food. We both had the salt and chilli cod with salt and chilli chips, and it was stunning. Will definitely return. Highly recommended!!!

Food was really nice,couldn't fault it, serving staff not so nice, very unpleasant, a little advice for free..... if you girls don't want to be there serving customers then get a different job, sorry its 2 girls and not all the waitresses because the majority of them were very nice and helpful.

Food is good , but its a very busy pub , the only real criticism is that we smelled of food on our clothes.

The food is pretty standard, but it is nice. They cater for larger bookings here too and the staff are very friendly. It gets quite busy at the weekends though, so it is best to book in advance.

Just a place that's not for me.

Went here for dinner last week, had the honey chilli chicken and was absolutely delicious. Pints of Guinness here are also lovely. Service was fantastic, there was a bit of a wait when we arrived and was told it would be half an hour, it was a busy time on a Saturday evening, however the girls couldn't make us feel more welcome. Only gripe was that the champions league final was on and the entertainment started about 15 minutes into the match and the TVs were turned to mute. We went out to watch match and dinner. If the music / entertainment had of started after the match we probably would have stayed later.

Went here for a confirmation food was lovely but was bit shocked when waitress came over asking us to leave because they needed the table for other customers, felt it was very rude when the person who organised the party spent alot of money!!! Won't be back

Booked table for 8pm. Didn't get seated until 815pm, food took forever to arrive and my chicken looked like it was cooked with a flamethrower and was covered in what can only be described as a mountain of tobacco onions which were tasteless, the side of garlic potatoes were also over cooked and almost lost a tooth biting into one, everyone who ordered mash had freezing cold mash, and the cheesecakes tasted like it came out of Iceland. "Also tasteless " ... a bad experience and I've had stomach pains all night upon returning.. safe to say I will never be back here ever again. Zero stars. Bloody nerve serving this garbage at the prices we got charged.

Booked a table over a week ago.On arrival at 7.30 the table wasn’t ready so had to stand at the bar. Finally when seated ordered food for four at 7.55pm.After 40 minutes the waitress came and asked us did we want more drinks even though we still had no food. No sign of the food until 8.40. The food arrived but had to reorder the sides.The food wasn’t great but the fact of waiting over an hour for food and seating put us off. I would see through it but the table had been booked to avoid delay.People were being served everywhere. who hadn’t booked tables. Can’t say we enjoyed it but certainly won’t be back. Not the staff ‘s fault but poor management.

We had a team lunch here and I cannot fault The Cosh in any way. Marty the food manager created a special set menu just for us which was a nice touch (party of 35+), and the menu he created was a good mixture of everything anyone could want. The food arrived quickly, was really tasty and great sized portions. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back. Everyone in team complimented the food and staff. Thank you so much everyone involved!

Food is fantastic, staff sometimes don't listen to what you want can find they spend more time chatting with each other rather than serving but the food is good when it comes out.

Attended a private event, the reception room, speaker system and bar was on point. Private DJ brought his music & tech, plugged in and jammed the night away. 😁👌👍👍

Handy spot for dinner on way into or leaving Derry. Blackened Salmon is my favorite, good selection of beers.

Pub atmosphere in downstairs restaurant, fish was delicious. Live music night we were there. Upstairs was the day 2 of wedding, room was large, great dance floor. Huge bar it was a party !

Great food, great service, nice clean family restaurant on the border road between Derry city & Bridgend Donegal. Prices are also very keen. Well worth a visit.... 6 of us ate here & everyone had a different meal from vegetarian to sirloin steak. Food arrived in good time, all meals together & piping hot. Able to cater for coeliacs & vegetarians. Car parking close to front door & wheelchair access. Will be back....

Staff were very welcoming on arrival. Attentive to your needs during your time there. My son was a little agitated when we arrived,member of staff was very lovely and brought him over a colouring book with crayons. Service was quick and the food was beautiful. Over all a really great experience.

Very good restaurant on the edge of Londonderry. Nice and quick service.

Not the best, went for Sunday lunch and charged from full menu not the Sunday lunch menu on their website, cost a fortune and food wasn't great! All those who had Sunday dinner were sick the next day!
