Absolutely wonderful experience with carmen. She made the friends hen do so specail and did and amazing job catering such tastey food for 16 people. Seamless, friendly and totally unique!

Carmen was so friendly and a fantastic teacher/host! Really enjoyed the class and feel it was very good value for money. Would definitely recommend!

If only 5* was enough! From the moment we met Carmen, she was warm, caring and knowledgeable. Carmen and myself were very excited about coming together to create an amazing dinner party for my sister’s hen party. Although none of our guests were vegan (a couple vegetarians) we thought the idea of an authentic Italian vegan chef was pretty cool and could be a talking point for years to come. We first attended a supper club of Carmen’s before booking so we could get a feel on her style and have a taste of her delicious food. My how we enjoyed the supper club, from the food itself to watching Carmen work so gracefully in the kitchen. We walked away knowing we made the right decision to book her. Myself and Carmen talked for months planning what menu we were going to bring together, Carmen was so knowledgeable, patient and always truthful about her ideas and what works with her menus. Truthfully I believe with her help we had one of the most incredible menus we could have had. Fast forward to dinner party day! Carmen arrived on time just as excited as we were for the evening ahead. She arrived around 5pm to get ready for our dinner party at 7:30. Carmen worked so calm and graceful in the unfamiliar kitchen, she had everything so in control that it was a pleasure to watch her work, if anything it was very special. The passion and care Carmen puts into everything she does truly shines through her food! My plate was completely clean every course it was all to perfection. Our biggest highlight of the evening was Carmen’s back story and the reasons behind all of her dishes! There was not a dry eye in the room after she shared with us her passion for cooking. Carmen you truely are an incredible chef! If you are thinking about booking her you would be stupid not to! Vegan or not you are in for a really special experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful class with Carmen. It was a one -to-one class.She was so clear with instructions and guided me with such detail through each recipe. She was so generous to share various tips and gave ideas how to make a recipe in different ways. Thank you Carmen for all your help. I am looking forward to learning lots more from you.

Attended a pasta cooking course (vegan). The whole experience was excellent, the tuition was top class, the delivery and organisation were faultless. I learned so much! And everyone was so friendly. Wonderful afternoon I cannot recommend The Cooking Flea enough. I will be back for more.

If I could give more stars I would! Carmen came over to my house to cook dinner for me and my partner for his birthday. Everything was perfect from arranging a date through to the service. I am quite an anxious person and her communication was perfect so I didn’t have to worry about what time she may arrive etc, it was all crystal clear and stress free. Cannot recommend her enough and will be booking again with some friends as we enjoyed it so much! Her food is absolutely incredible and genuinely could not fault her. Carmen is very passionate, friendly and professional and can’t wait to taste her food again. The house was left tidier than how it was when she arrived!

Incredible service from Carmen. She was extremely professional and organised before the event which meant I knew I could relax and be in good hands. Me and my wife got a private dinner from Carmen as a wedding present. It was a really special evening. The food was imaginative and delicious. The soy ricotta filled pasta was especially impressive. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the atmosphere relaxed.

We had a delicious and beautifully presented vegan meal which we all loved. I’m not a vegan but love food and this was really beautiful. Carmen is lovely and we really enjoyed how she talked about the food too. We’ll definitely do a supper club again.

The supper club was wonderful. Tables of 6 made it a comfortable amount of social interaction. The food was delicious, the time, thought, care and love put into every dish was obvious. If you like food, go!

Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. This was such an amazing experience! We attended Carmen's newest venture of a cooking class. The step by step demonstration made it simple for us to follow. Carmen was also on hand if ever we did get stuck or need any help. Carmen gave us suggestions of where we could buy the unique ingredients and what not to use. The cooking class environment was also great, lots of friendly and sociable people. Now the food, the recipes, absolutely delicious. In fact I'm not sure I have spoken to anyone this week and not mentioned the incredible pasta. I'm even looking to buy my own pasta press because I have never had vegan pasta like this before and now I have a recipe. Mind blown. I can't wait to attend more classes in the future. I did the Vegan Italian Feast cooking class with Carmen and I had a blast. I am a lover of food, not a lover of cooking, but trying to get better. And I genuinely enjoyed the whole experience start to finish, I thought I would gain skills (and I did!) but I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. There was a mix of couples and individuals taking part, I took part as an individual and it was a really lovely evening. Food was delicious. Instruction was clear and Carmen herself was a great teacher and really helpful. It was also a great treat to cook up a storm, feast on the results and not have to do any of the clean up. A lovely evening all around.

We did Carmen’s vegan Italian feat cooking class. She made the class so fun and informative and helped us make a cracking dinner & dessert. Have always wanted to know how to make vegan fresh pasta!

I went to a vegan Italian cooking class run by Carmen. The recipes were straightforward and tasted incredible and her energy and commitment to answering my many questions was very welcome!! Would 100% recommend

Such a unique and sociable experience. Carmen and her assistant were so welcoming, friendly and introduce the dishes beautifully. The food is delicious and really showcases how tasty vegan dishes and flavours can be! I’ve now been to two events, once with someone who was not vegan and they loved the dishes as much as I did. The social aspect is also really fun, the atmosphere set up makes it so easy to talk to the people next to you and enjoy socialising over food. I would thoroughly recommend Carmen’s events and will be booking again :-)!

Had a lovely lunch at Carmen's supper club hosted at Grano. The food was lovely, especially the polenta starter with different types of vegan cheeses and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Carmen talked us through the dishes and the very interesting ingredient pairings that she had created - the atmosphere was lovely and we had a long chat with the couple sitting next to us. Would definitely recommend!

We asked Carmen to prepare one of her fabulous plant based menus for a friend's 50th birthday and it was a really fun and memorable experience for all. Each course (5, including canapes) was exciting, delicious and meticulously prepared with the kind of creative plating you'd expect at a Michellin restaurant. Carmen and her team were an absolute pleasure to have at home, introducing each dish with warmth and grace and leaving the kitchen spotless when they left. We can't recommend enough and will definitely book again!

We had an amazing time at Carmen’s November Lunch Club. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was not only delicious but was clearly crafted with great care. It was so refreshing to eat from a plant-based menu and I don’t think you’ll find a better meal than this!

Carmen created an outstanding vegan meal for us on 5th Nov! It was a delightful food as well as social experience. The menu was very imaginative and well thought out and each course was introduced by either Carmen herself, or the waiter. I would highly recommend this experience!

A unique and innovative dining experience. Carmen ‘the Cooking Flea’ created an evening combining delicious Michelin star quality food with an equally impressive social atmosphere, encouraging even typically introverted people (such as myself) to join in with the ubiquitous and free-flowing conversations fully; whether you come as part of a group or by yourself it’s impossible not to feel like you’re part of a friendly and welcoming community.

The best food experience I had as vegan! This is a 5 star meal that you can’t miss, not only for the food itself that is absolutely amazing and completely made from scratch by Carmen but also the fact to seat at the table with strangers to enjoy food all together, I met lovely people and I had very enjoyable conversation in a very relaxing atmosphere, Carmen as enchanted hand and she makes even the most simple things testing delicious, there’s a lot of work behind a 4 course dinner and you can taste it in every bites! The dessert left me speechless, I cannot recommend this experience enough! (Also ideal to beat anti vegan skepticism)

First time attending Carmen supper club, we had a 4 course menu my favourite courses were the Gazpacho soup and homemade cavatelli , the tempeh was my least favourite .

A hidden gem in Bristol. Genuine ingredients perfectly crafted in a cuisine with influences from around the world. Original dishes created by chef Carmen that will remind you of distant places and probably you will never try elsewhere.

I had an amazing vegan dinner experience cooked by Carmen. Well presented dishes with a peculiar attention to details. You can see the passion in her dishes and the taste simply delicious! I would highly recommend her supper club!

This is a nice social event but if you are coming for food- don't. We attended the lunch event on Sunday, all 4 dishes were cold and portions were small, sugestive of the tasting menu. However, the flavours are so one-dimensional, bland and overall just not good, I am very sorry to say. At £42 per person we were served: 1)Gazpacho (arguably the easiest soup to make). 2)Deep fried tempeh that was clearly fried a few hours ago so was cold and soft. Accompanied by small dollops of random sauces. 3)A dish that I struggle to even name. It was a pile of dry lentils whith enough dill to overtake any other possible flavour. Next to it was a small cup of quinoa with raisins, also dry. Plus the same small random sauces. 4)A delicious chocolate moist cake/brownie/torte, the best dish of the lunch. Ingredients repeated themselves in practically every dish and were used in the same way (cut pistachios-3 dishes, fennel seeds-3 dishes, black garlic- 2 dishes plus starter bread). The cocktails were delicious (not included) and the social side of our table was great. I would also like to point out that at no point you see the Chef, there was no introduction, no discussion, the dishes just arrived. Overall go at your own risk.

We were treated to a gourmet delight on Friday evening with Carmen and Paola (Antonio) was away. The whole experience was very professional, food was delicious and fantastically presented and Carmen explained every dish from the 4 courses, as we went along. The evening was very relaxing, despite not knowing the other guests or hosts and ran very smoothly. I am vegetarian and my husband and 2 friends are all meat eaters, but being a vegan meal did not detract from the experience and was an eyeopener I believe for them. Definitely will return and are looking into the option of Carmen cooking for us in our kitchen! Fabulous! Photos are on my husband's phone so will post those at a later date!

This was a most glorious experience, hosts were warm and inviting, the setting was beautiful and relaxed. The food was stunning, not only looked stunning but tasted stunning. So much so the next day we used Carmen's recipe to make frittata. We're looking forward to booking again soon. I'd like to add we were lucky enough to of met some really amazing vegans during the meal, which added to the whole experience.

I had the pleasure of attending the Cooking Flea supper club on Friday with my partner and we had the most wonderful evening! Carmen and Antonio were extremely welcoming and the food was outstanding, it tasted incredible and the presentation was immaculate. It was lovely to chat to others around the table and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Carmen introduced each dish and we were lucky enough to try some ingredients she'd brought back from a recent trip to Crete. All of the dishes were delicious and I particularly liked the vegan cheese in filo pastry for the starter, the truffle pasta and the dessert. The location is really easy to find and very convenient for anyone travelling by bus. I thought it was fantastic value for money and I'll be keeping an eye out for future events. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!!

We attended supper club and what amazing experience it was from start to finish . Carmen and Antonio made us feel very relaxed throughout. The food was simply exquisite. Last night was my second supper club experience at Carmen’s house! Words can only partially describe such a unique experience! Food was delicious and Carmen’s plating skills make you eat the food with your eyes as well as your mouth. I also loved the social experience and the fact that Carmen and Antonio joined us towards the end of the evening to chat and make us even more welcomed. Carmen is an outstanding vegan chef. I attended one of her supper clubs and had the most wonderful evening meeting new friends. We had four courses of delicious vegan food that is all home made. This is the best vegan food I’ve had in the area. I will 100% be attending other supper club very soon. Thank you so much Carmen - your food is incredible!!

I had my first experience of Supper Club in Bristol and... it was incredible! Food is amazing, fresh and delicious. It's all vegan, but you feel like you really don't miss meat. Thank you Carmen & Antonio for being amazing hosts. I highly recommend this place and definitely I’ll be back!

I would recommend anyone booking a dinner at Carmen's supper club home restaurant. Carmen is a very passionate chef, she has a 5 star hygiene rate, she is mastering her cooking skills and indeed she creates beautiful and tasty dishes. Good presentation, dedication, effort, passion and so much love in every dish she cooks. I felt like eating in a VIP restaurant, also, the flavours of her dishes are unique as everything is homemade and fresh. Reasonable prices as the quality and flavours are much better than other overrated restaurants in Bristol. She took care of every detail! I think we need more chefs like Carmen who cares about people. Thank you x

Having your own private chef has never been easier! More inclusive and fun than what it sounds, the Cooking Flea it's not just a private experience, it's a gathering with friends. The quality of the ingredients and the skills of the chef are not the only key points: the passion and love poured into every serving is what makes this supper club standing out from all the rest, even your best restaurant. We joined as shy customers, soon became happy guests, and then left as friends. This is a little gem where all food is plant based. A welcoming surprise that I would suggest to anyone who loves good food accompanied by good company.

I participated in the Cooking Flea's Supper Club at the beginning of July. Experiencing Carmen's cooking has been amazing beyond any of my expectations! Every course of the meal was well thought and elegantly presented, colourful, and delicious! You'll taste the flavours of Italy and other beautiful countries in the world, but the thing you'll taste the most will be all the love that Carmen puts in every dish and around her house, so that everyone can feel at home and among friends. I'll certainly do it again!

A delicious experience: food is finest and also very healthy; I tasted flavours that I have never tried before like a unique peach and basil risotto with roasted almond flakes. It went above and beyond my expectations.
