We hadn't eaten here for a long time but thought we'd give it another try. Overall really impressed. 2 chicken curries and 2 burgers - all of which were cooked well and tasty. Good selection of drinks all reasonably priced. Great to see the place busy and doing well! Service very friendly and efficient too!

Went here for a family birthday after hearing good things about how it had supposedly improved. Menu has some old favourites and a nice variety. Caesar salad, soup and salt and chilli chicken to start. The soup was lovely but standard. The salt and chilli chicken while nice was a very small portion. The Caesar salad was....uninspired. Limp leaves, shortcuts taken with mass produced dressing which had an artificial tang and bog standard presentation. The mains were two chicken curries and a chicken and chorizo chicken. The chicken curry was incredibly creamy and full of veg. A smooth, yellow curry with fresh flavour...but literally five small pieces of chicken amongst all the sauce and vegetables. Not filling enough for a hungry fella and feels a bit of a rip off for the price. The chicken chorizo was a complete let down. I actually don't know what was in the chicken, but it certainly wasn't real chorizo. Another shortcut if chorizo flavoured paste or sauce most likely? The chicken was overcooked and rubbery too. And the presentation...it was like a farmers cafe had thrown it on the plate. The dessert menu looked like something from the 90s or from my school days. Sponge cake with jam and coconut topping? Ice cream Sunday? Haven't seen those since I was a kid. We ordered apple crumble but while the custard was served hot, the crumble itself was served cold which made a very unpleasant contrast. More store bought shortcuts with the dessert tasting like it had been bought pre-made, typical mass produced mushy apple filling that tastes like it came from a can. The environment doesn't improve things as we were sat at a table with sofas which made for very uncomfortable eating. There was a vibe, like most golf restaurants, that's staff had favourites and regular golf members who they spent more time conversing with than they did seeing to the needs of other customers. Overall a 3 course meal was had and it was okay, but I won't be back in a hurry.

Really lovely food and reasonably priced unlike a lot of places in the town. I had salted chilli chicken for starter, chicken supreme for main and sticky toffee for dessert. Friendly staff. Very accommodating.
