Having chosen the enhanced menu, we enjoyed fine dining with the Matre de's choices of wine from his private cellar; outstanding. The service was exemplary. Really good value for money in St. James's

Still amazing... Had a wonderful time again. took our granddaughter who was spoilt rotten by All the staff. She was personally served her drink and ice cream (sorry i cant remember the wonderful mans name). Food was perfect. Care and attention from all made us feel so special. Phillippe in the bar was still remembering who we were and knew our drink made our day. See you all again soon.

Nice buffet roast beef with lots of trimmings and vegetable . Would recommend anyone to visit and the value for money is great !! You can’t possibly find another place like this in this area !

Invited by a member-and got 20% discount ! Nice,formal and light surroundings for lunch. We were late so the starters were taken away.... and were not told that desserts would be taken away !! We got/ were allowed dessert JUST in time.! Despite this we all found this a nice lunch. for meatlovers. Will certainly be back.

A quiet place in a great location, slightly old fashioned, but delicious food and attentive service. We booked the carvers lunch for 2 of us. No menu as such to choose from: starters are chosen from a cold counter of salads and meats, main course from the carvery - 2 meat choices, or fish, or vegetarian (or a bit of several!). Dessert then also a choice from a trolley. A lovely, hidden little gem.

I have lunched and dined here, from time to time. The service is friendly without being intrusive. The decor is appropriate (portraits unsurprisingly Masonic). The bar is welcoming and well-used. Sandwiches are available. The carvery itself has undergone something of a culinary transformation. The food was always of a high standard, but recent changes have raised that standard to new heights. Surely it is one of the best carveries in Town

86 St James' is the catering division of the Mark Mason masonic hall. They put on an excellent carvery meal, with the choicest cuts of meat and there is usually a selection of roasts to choose from. After having your choice of meat carved by the resident chef, help yourself to an array of hot, freshly cooked vegetables including potatoes, broccoli, carrots, courgettes, peas and sweetcorn, plus very good Yorkshire puddings and gravy. There is always a fish dish too. You are allowed to have seconds and with such a brilliant display, who could possibly refuse? Starters served from the trolley include smoked salmon, anchovies, cold mixed meats such as prosciutto and chorizo with accompanying salads. Desserts are also served from the trolley with mouthwatering tiramisu, almond tart, cream pie, chocolate brownie etc or fresh fruit salad or cheese. Wines are reasonably priced and the service is friendly and helpful. A better lunch you will not find in London.

You feel that you belong almost "at home" very welcoming staff you are well looked after from arriving to departing, with good food and fine wine , Situated in an ideal location next to St James Palace

A superb lunch overlooking St. James's Palace and Berry Brothers and Rudd the Queen's Victuallers. A really good find an exquisite old fashioned carvery great food complimented by very good, not intrusive, service. Window tables recommended.

Often attend meeting shere and we have a carvery after. The food is always cooked well even if the wine prices are a bit expensive but then it is London. Staff are well mannered and attentive.

I am here very often for meetings. Very good food, good wines, very good service in very nice surroundings. We often have the carvery.

Wonderful place to eat. Great value for central London - three courses for £30. The Pork Porchetta is excellent.
