Great food, shame about the portion size

Great restaurant, excellent cuisine, very warm welcome, not to be missed otherwise we are in London and we want to have a neat little restaurant.

Impeccable lunch! Came here for lunch with my parents and everything we ordered was fresh and tasteful! Sad to hear that they are closing this Saturday but can’t wait for the team to open at another location again!

We had the 4-course dinner. Each dish was fantastic, particular highlights were the Quail and Monkfish options. Exceptional service throughout and a refined atmosphere, thoroughly recommend.

The food at London Stock was incredible, I took my boyfriend here for his birthday meal and we had an amazing time. The staff were friendly and attentive. A great tasting menu, definitely visit whilst you can.

Truly exceptional experience. I cannot believe this was my first time going to London Stock (and I had only heard about it recently). Our server was absolutely amazing with helpful suggestions and even went out of her way to offer me a custom lemonade when I asked for one. Each of our three courses was 10/10 and both my guest and I will certainly return.

Brilliant place to eat. The restaurant has so much atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was so tasty and hot and service was quick.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch, the food looks beautiful and tastes even better. A lot of care and attention has been put into harmonious flavours and textures. The soufflé was the best I’ve had, it was incredibly light. The set lunch menu is a bargain and I was surprised it was not busier. My one gripe was we constantly had to ask for our wine to be topped up , just leave it on the table!

A very talented team in the kitchen. Open view like a chef's table, not a peep or "f" word around... Recommend the chocolate soufflé, very original taste and texture. Tasting menu really worth the try.

Had a fantastic lunch there yesterday. We had the taster menu and were under a time pressure so asked the waitress if we could still get it. She spoke with the chefs and as long as we ate fairly quickly it would’ve been ok. So we began. The first dish was a dark brioche which was soft and layered. With their own butter it melted in my mouth. It was a great palette cleanser but also sweet to the younger. An awesome start. The menu was pretty, creative and tasted great. We had different highlights between us which shows the diversity of the dishes. My highlights were the langoustines and the meat dishes. See the pictures. We didn’t go for the wine pairing on account of our timing and due to commitments later that day but we had a bottle of French white which was perfect for the meal. They have an extensive wine list. Honestly the food was really good. I would highly recommend it. Service was also efficient and helpful. Mi would definitely go again. And sit facing the kitchen if like me you like to see what is going on.

Great food, great wine, great service, great location - slightly let down by very annoying tinny background music. It is clear that the food & service are aiming (and succeeding) to be Michelin quality, and I wish them the best of luck for this - but. whomever thought the music matched either the wine or the food - needs educating!

Very cute location, amazing food, we had the 8 courses menu and I would always get back here again. The team was taking really good care of us and the prices were also fair :)

Lunchtime the restaurant was quiet. I suspect dinner tables are harder to find I went for the fixed price 4 course and ordered smoked burrata, quail, halibut and rhubarb. My description doesn't do justice to the exquisite offering placed before me. Up there with the very best Michelin starred in London it was the best I have eaten for months. I will return soon only next time I'll go for the tasting menu. The chef came to our table to explain a course and both he and the waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful

Went with two friends. We ordered 3 tasting menus and a vegetarian tasting menu as a lot of it looked too delicious to miss! Everything was on point - service, food, drinks inc wine flight/pairings with the SUPERB Sommelier Lee who really added a great deal to our evening both from her recommendations, the pairings, and her vast knowledge of the menu and the wonderful wines she brought for us. We'd been to a Michelin starred restaurant the week before and London Stock easily outperformed on everything. We look forward to them receiving their star in the in the near future!

restaurant experience doesn't get any better than this: amazing food with creative flavour combinations, superior service, and chilled ambience. we opted for the three course lunch menu and tried different dishes - everything was superb and couldn't quite pick a favourite. the complimentary brioche bread & butter set expectations very high, and indeed everything that followed was on a par (including the complimentary mini macarons at the end). good portion sizes and price point.

We held our corporate Christmas dinner at London Stock's private dining room, in December 2023. From the booking process to the event itself, the service was impeccable and all our requests fulfilled. We went for a 4 course menu which was perfect and many different options were available. A sommelier matched a lovely selection of wines to go with the food. The space was well laid out and we were able to seat everyone comfortably. The team could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend and I look forward to booking again!

An excellent restaurant when it was (briefly) in Wandsworth and now has transferred to a great location in the West End without losing any of its exceptional food or service. I would dare anyoen to find a better value Michelin Star equivalent meal anywhere in London

Excellent pre theatre, attentive and efficient service

Had a lovely dinner after seeing Les Miserables. Opted for the 8 course taster menu. Food was delicate and precise and full of flavour. All courses were spread over approx 2 hours and really made for a fantastic evening. Only very tiny criticism I could possibly add was that less foam should be used across multiple dishes. The staff were attentive and friendly; special mention should go out to the sommelier who had a fantastic personality and great advice on wines. She was really personable and is a true asset to the restaurant. The establishment is nice yet not too full of itself and certainly not intimidating like some can be. Certainly worth a visit. Well done.

Been there before Christmas, without reservation, my wife and I. Got a small table. Small restaurant, counted 30 seats only. Nice, modern and still cozy atmosphere, well suited for a date. 5 staff working in the open kitchen, 3 doing service. Very good service, excellent food (they offered on that evening 2 different menus, no a-lá-carte), nice wine selection. By bottle and good enough selection by glass. Enjoyed my company, loved the food and wine and the service, and would come back anytime! I had the Suffolk Lamb Shoulder as the main dish, the meat was wonderful, tender, came with a tasty dark sauce for the puree.

Really good lunch - all boxes ticked.

Food - we had the lunch menu for 40£ we tried all starters and skipped the desert. Only one of the three starters were good. The main course was beautiful but just not right tastewise. The risotto tasted like a Mac and cheese. Very good bread though. Service - Very good and personal, as expected with a total of 4 guests there. Ambience - Clean, modern and Scandinavian design.

My visit to Stock London Restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the food undoubtedly impressed, the overall dining experience was hindered by a few noteworthy drawbacks, especially considering the high cost. Let's start with the positive aspects. The cuisine at Stock London is undoubtedly praiseworthy. Each dish showcased a meticulous blend of flavors and ingredients, indicative of the culinary expertise in the kitchen. From appetizers to desserts, the menu offered a diverse range of options that catered to different palates. However, the service fell short of expectations. The waitstaff appeared to be overwhelmed, resulting in a delay in delivering our orders. Unfortunately, this affected the wine pairing, which was not served with the corresponding dishes. The lack of synchronization between the kitchen and the serving staff led to a disjointed dining experience. Adding to the disappointment was the presentation of the wine. It was poured in a corner of the restaurant, away from our table, depriving us of the opportunity to learn about the selections and appreciate the pairing. The absence of a tableside presentation diminished the overall enjoyment of the wine. Furthermore, the size of the glasses and food servings raised concerns. The wine servings were notably small, making it difficult to fully savor the wines. Similarly, the portions of the dishes were modest, requiring us to eat again when we returned home. On a positive note, the waiters seemed to acknowledge the shortcomings of our dining experience. They recognized that our experience fell short of expectations and, as a gesture of goodwill, did not charge us for the water. The cost of the dining experience at Stock London Restaurant was notably high, and given the price point, we expected a more seamless and elevated experience. While the culinary offerings were commendable, the overall value for money was lacking.

It was my first tasting menu experience ever and I have to say that it was a delightful. The (dream) team: - Joanna was very kind since the beginning; - Chef Patron Sebastian Rast and his team made a great job in kitchen. Very quiet and effective. Absolutely masters! The food: I totally destroyed the wrong concept about gourmet food (gourmet is tasteless or/and not fulfilling). Every single dish was an explosion of flavours. Absolutely stunning! The ambience: Loved the decoration in tones of black and brown and somehow shady and minimalist. I can’t recommend this place enough! Price vs quality outstanding! Congratulations!

This was okay, a little too try-hard for me and over complicated dishes esp with the addition of the white tomato foam tasted a lot like dish soap but it was okay overall

Wonderful experience, amazing tasting menu and wines.

We have had lots of tasting menus around London and was excited to try out this 8-course option. All courses were very good, full of flavours, nothing overly salty or sickly sweet. The apple-themed amuse bouche not even listed on the menu was delicious too. The complimentary birthday celebration plate was also something to remember, unlike other restaurants that offer random pieces of average cake/sweet, the plate consisted of some quality petit fours. Service was satisfactory. For the 1st time in forever, nobody kept coming to see if my unfinished plate was ready for collection. At no point did I feel rushed. The restaurant wasn't the quietest place for a romantic dinner, but it wasn't too noisy either. However, the wine pairing was rather disappointing. It did go with the courses of course but it lacked a wow factor. Overall, we had a very nice time. Recommended!

Well, I wish I could eat the whole pan of that tomato risotto :) The whole experience was great, every single dish was pretty good, some phenomenal. The pairing with the wine was also nicely done. Worth it 100%.

Average food, slow service, condescending staff will refuse to entertain basic customer requests around dietary restrictions, take-away requests, or any other accommodations you would expect at a fine establishment. I would rather avoid this as there are better options in the area.

Absolutely loved having dinner here. The tasting menu was super impressive and so so tasty!! ✨✨ loved every bit of it. The service was immaculate and we had a great time. Plus, love an open kitchen!

We came for an anniversary meal and could not ask for better service and food. Every dish in the tasting menu was so good that we could hardly pick a favourite one. I would have to give it to the steak or risotto. The kitchen easily accommodated lactose intolerance with good substitutes. Will happily recommend this to friends and come again in the future

I visited London Stock on 28th September 2023 for a pre-opening family & friends dinner. The restaurant has a subtle and stylish atmosphere, which was perfect respite from busy Mayfair. The food, service and wine pairings were exquisite and I'd highly recommend the tasting menu. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Really great food from the start. We had the dinner menu and I've only posted photos of what I had. In short some really great dishes I'd like to come back when they have more things I haven't tried yet as I understand they switch it around and there's a lot of skill at this restaurant. First was a brioche and onion butter which is a combination I didn't know would work so well and some amuse bouche which is best in one bite. Then 2 starters: a beef tartare which had a wonderful wasabi kick but not overpowering. Then the Rabbit leg which was so good I wanted something to soak up more of the sauce. The lamb shoulder was easy to eat despite being 3 plates in, I liked the different textures on the dish, it added something that made it more enjoyable. Finally I had the Soufflé which is more focused on the fruity elements than just dark chocolate. Thanks to Hassan for the service.

Absolutely outstanding food - the eight course vegetarian taster menu was hit after hit after hit. I couldn’t pick a favourite! My only slight gripe would be the wine list - lots of options but all very expensive. The Pouilly Fumé was lovely, but £62 a bottle is pushing it and it was the cheapest French white on offer.

I had the most amazing experience last Thursday when visiting to try the tasting menu. Each course was spot on and the staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. It started to rain quite heavily while we were sat outside also which caused no trouble for the staff. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will certainly be back!

Amazing food and service. All the courses were lovely and creative and the wine pairing was just right. The only thing I did not enjoy was the room's temperature, it was cold. We returned for lunch.

I booked London Stock for 14 people for lunch post wedding ceremony, and could not have hoped for better service, atmosphere and great food ! Joanna was great at coordinating menus and dietary restrictions prior to the visit, and the setup on the day was done so professionally ! The food is unique and delicious. The portion sizes were perfect. I got so many compliments from my guests and will definitely be visiting London Stock again.

Attention to detail seemed to be the theme here. The dishes were all very interesting and flavoursome and the service was equally excellent. The laminated brioche was my absolute favourite with that butter. I also absolutely loved the barbecued green beans with hazelnut pesto. Both dishes indeed were not the key dishes of the meal but when the standard is so high, your favourite dishes are the difference between those that are excellent and those that will be remembered for life.

Ram Quarter was quiet but London Stock was very worth the visit, the food was exceptional and service from Aymerik also top class. Highly highly recommended and will visit again.

I had a fantastic evening at the London Stock. The food was phenomenal and completely changed my perception of fine dining. The flavors and presentation were perfectly matched and full of unexpected surprises. My highlight was the smoked burrata. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We went there to eat as a duo. With my best friend, who is very interested in cooking, the sommelier engaged in a detailed and enthusiastic conversation about the origin and growing procedure of the wine, while me as a beginner, she figuratively held my hand and gave me some wines to try. It was a very pleasant atmosphere, which was topped off by the fact that we noticed people at two other tables repeatedly thanking the staff for the food and service. This restaurant deserves more attention and recognition. It was magnificent.

Visited for New Years Eve dinner. Absolutely delicious food, excellent service and attention to detail from all. My only small negative comment - the music was really bizarre, some highlights were an instrumental version of Kelis - Milkshake and a couple of tunes from Olivia Rodrigo, didn’t really fit the vibe.

Incredible meal from start to finish. We had the tasting menu - every dish was cooked to perfection, blending innovation with great classical cookery. The meal was complimented with first class service from the staff and a warm atmosphere in the dining room. Will be returning soon!

Great 8 course tasting menu! Gemma was amazing at explaining what each dish was and just simply providing amazing service!

Very good place, good food and friendly staff. The only thing I would point out is that I got the Vegetarian Tasting menu and while my friends had two dishes with fish I had instead a potato in one dish and a fennel in the second dish. Considering every healthy meal contains a balanced combination of proteins, carbs and veggies, while my friends were eating protein, I was served as a "vegetarian replacement" a potato and a fennel, which is one carbs and the other vegetable, but no protein. I was quite satisfied with the meal overall, but disappointed my protein intake (20g/30g per meal) suffered because of the unbalanced dishes. Something to point out hopefully for the chef to think about and maybe add some tofu, pulses, sunflower mince, nuts, or something rich in protein (comparable to fish anyway). Thanks, Alice

We came here for a small post-wedding celebration meal. The whole experience was wonderful, from planning with the staff and of course the food and service itself. We plan to come back for the Sunday roast soon!

This place is such a great restaurant. We’ve been to lots of the top restaurants in London and this is as good as you’re likely to find and at very reasonable price point- and deserves more plaudits. Amazing food, service, very reasonably priced, good vibe. Difficult time to open around covid which was no doubt hard- do this place and yourself a favour and visit asap- we want it to succeed so we can keep going back!

We’ve eaten at stock multiple times and have never been disappointed with the quality of food or service. Really high quality tasting menu full of interesting dishes that change regularly to keep it interesting. Paired with a fantastic selection of wines. The staff are both friendly and very professional at the same time. Great hidden gem fine dining experience in London.

The food is very good but it is a limited menu at dinner time as you cannot go a La carte. One doesn’t always want a tasting menu. I thought it pricey for the casual setting but will try a lunch

Possibly the most underrated restaurant I've been to

Very strange experience. Went for Sunday lunch and the place was empty. As it was a hot day my mum didn’t feel like a full meal and asked to have a starter as her main - they refused and said she could either have a main or nothing (like really?). Extremely bizarre and shoddy customer service. The food itself was pretty good although the rib eye was half fat. Having seen their response…. Nobody said at the time of booking there was a minimum order or a need for everyone to order a main. “Food pre prepared” …given this excludes the meat which wasn’t pre selected this means a portion of mixed vegetables. As for turning tables away. We saw one table leave and none sit down in the time we were there - the place was empty. We were a table of 4 who otherwise all ordered mains and wine and would have had dessert. It’s not like we were propping up a table for a glass of water and bread. Even if the above was explained in advance good service would have been to accommodate my retired mothers request as best you could. Even if you couldn’t accommodate it I’d expect it to be handled better than the rude ultimatum. The fact you’ve posted a defensive response blaming the customer says everything about your customer service.

I wish I'd taken photos looking at all these lovely reviews! Just to add my own endorsement: this restaurant is genuinely as good as fine dining in Central. So lucky to have this in our locality. And great service too - the staff have a genuine passion for food and innovation. The attention to detail in the dishes was superb.
