They surely do know how to make a customer uncomfortable. I came up to the coffee & cake bit which was empty, but saw about 5 members of staff at the other till who weren’t doing anything just staring at me from afar. Finally someone was literally pushed towards me by the chef. The staff member that served me has no knowledge of how to make an oat flat white, because I got a cup of frothed oat milk with a hint of coffee.

nice location, ideal for groups on visiting for Wheel, however the food and drinks at the café are pricy for what you are getting, machine made hot drinks are too expensive for what they are and small cups.

Poor for gluten free. They essentially remove everything that isn't gluten free and hand you what's leftover. For example, you lose over a third of the breakfast and still pay full price for it.

We took part in the chain of freedom event on Saturday 14th of October and went for some food. Having tried the trailer outside first and not really fancying the very limited choice of hot dogs or fries we headed for the cafe inside. We asked if they did cheeseburgers as there was none displayed on the menu. They checked and said yes they did. There was no indication of the price and only when we went to pay for 2 takeaway cheeseburgers, 1 fries and one can of soft drink did we find out the price, a staggering £30.45. I went off to the toilet and the meal had arrived, with thousand island dressing and mustard, both of which I dislike, no cheese and no ketchup. Horrible to say the least and inedible as far as I was concerned. Should we return to the wheel, we will take our own lunch for sure.

Took my baby daughter to the Falkirk wheel today, the cafe food wasn’t bad, there wasn’t any tables inside and balancing a pram and a tray was not easy, however they have a staff member in their cafe, Charlie, who displayed the best piece of customer service I’ve seen in many months. He recognised that even though there were half empty tables none of the other customers were bothering to offer. He took my tray and sorted us somewhere to sit and then brought us our cutlery, all with a pleasant disposition. Top man!

Rather chaotic when visited, on a public holiday. Fairly fast service, helpful staff. The only flaw was the quality of the food, which seemed low to us. We got a burger but the meat was low quality, better with pies in the afternoon.

Visited here with a friend. I had the soup of the day, lentil, with bread and croutons. A choice of breads and one of the tastiest lentil soups I've had in a cafe and it was piping hot. My friend had a scone which was unfortunately a little dry. A dog friendly cafe too.

Come here regularly when out for a walk, the food and coffee are not bad given its in a tourist area, however the new table service in the cafe seems a bit strange. You have to ask the waitress whats available and it doesn't seem to work well. The old style was better, don't think its suited to table service unless they up the game massively.

We went many years to this amazing place and this time we managed to watch the wheel in work! Such an amazing structure of strength and grace! Loading the boats into one lower side, then closing off that section with a partition, slowly rotating to get the boats up to the top, then opening the partition to let the boats out on the upper canal to go on their way to Glasgow! Brilliant! The park has expanded a lot. Loads for kids to do there - mini golf, playground, water fun. Little snack kiosk, but also a really nice café there for the more hungry, in a dome type of building where you can watch the wheel in action right next to you. Good place to go. Also saw dogs on leashes out with owners

Oh dear. The Visitor Centre is certainly an interesting place to visit. The wheel itself is an impressive structure and a marvel of engineering. Imagining how the huge steel components were transported by road (!) isn't easy. There is cycle hire (with both standard bikes and an E-bike hire scheme via an app), plus kayaking facilities, also Zorb balls and a trampoline bungee for children. Pleasant walks along the canal towpath are possible too. But the cafe in the Visitor Centre was woefully overpriced. I paid £4 for a small 330 ml bottle of cider. That's £12+ for a litre! Or £5.75 for a pint. That represents posh hotel prices in my opinion. I asked for a glass - no joy, only paper cups. Very disappointing. I didn't eat in the cafe, but the food was also seriously expensive. If I come back I'd try the kiosks outside next time - though I think one was only selling hot dogs and fries, and the other was offering wood-fired pizzas. But those looked quite appealing, and I expect they'd be much better value for money. So only use the cafe if you don't mind overpaying.

Shocking customer service today, was asked to join another queue to get a scone and duly did so only for other people to walk round to the same side I was just on to be served in front of me, thus taking the thing I had requested, leaving none. Service was slow, I appreciate its busy and then waiting just to be cut in front of, prolonging the wait meant we had to pay for our food and leave with it in a box as our boat ride was due. Can't say I'm planning a return trip

What happened to Pizza Hut? I remember when it was good! This was a huge disappointment. The staff were pleasant enough but not particularly involved. The food was mediocre and bland. Lack of sugary drink options. All in all, I found it a thoroughly unenjoyble experience. I doubt this would be exclusive to this particular pizza hut. I won't be eating at any Pizza Hut again any time soon.
