Great venue for going for some food and drinks with friends and partners. I probably wouldn't want to bring my kids with me to a venue like this, especially on a saturday, but it's one of the nicer venues in Atherton. Food is very reasonable given the high quality, but drinks are certainly marked up a bit compared to other places in Atheron

Had a good night out here, two couples, decent up market pub food, some very good live music, and a couple of hours playing different darts games to round out a very enjoyable evening. Venue was very bust and we were very lucky to get in, so strongly recommended booking in advance in plenty of time, this is a very popular venue with a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.

Good popular bar but a bit expensive

Went in tonight with a group of friends to celebrate our friends 50th. Olivia was amazing. Such a friendly, helpful person who was so lovely. Thank you Olivia! Your hard work didn't go unnoticed. We will be back. 🥰🤗

Lovely food gorgeous place friendly staff

Myself, partner and Dad went for Sunday Roast yesterday and it was delicious. One had beef and the other two the Trio which was so tasty and so much of it that none of use could actually finish it all. I was thinking not having been for a while, that quality may have changed but it was just as good. Thank you again!

Food is great although a bit pricey. They do half price deals, so definitely worth looking for them. Table service, but service is quite slow. Staff will only take notice if you're "their' Table which can be frustrating at times.

Cabinet is always a go to place in Atherton. I’ve done night outs, Christmas meals, new years eves or just going for a couple of drinks and never get disappointed. Food is just beautiful and the service is always great.

Second time here. We came for my mother’s 81st Birthday celebrations. As last time food was fantastic drinks same. The service was quick friendly and efficient. Only reason it doesn’t get a 5 for me is the Racket. We want to talk and enjoy each others company and with the loud music this made all the people in there shout to each other to be heard and we all couldn’t hear each other talk.

Great place. By the looks from outside, I did not expect to see such a spacious bar.

Food was shocking. Cold and very dry chicken kebab we left all of our food however tried someone's chips and even though they were cold they tested better than our food

Boddingtons beer tasted like it was watered down☹️

Went here for the first time last weekend for bottomless brunch. our server was Emily such a lovely girl was constantly making sure we had drinks and we were happy made the exspereance a fab day would definitely recommend food was lovely too

Absolutely stunning venue. You are surprised about how massive this place is, I had no idea. Staff are absolutely amazing and very friendly. The only problem was that service was very slow. It was jam packed but only one bar staff making cocktails so the wait was longer than one would expect. Don’t blame the staff as they was knocking out cocktails as fast as they could. I would for sure still return.

What an amazing place! We have been here so many times and consider it our local so when we were planning our wedding it was our first choice! The staff helped us plan every step of our day and were always on hand to answer any of our questions. They allowed us to set up the venue the day before and helped us make everything perfect! On the day all the staff exceeded our expectations! They were so kind, helpful, and amazing! The food was outstanding and they created the chilled and relaxed wedding we had dreamed of! We cannot thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone considering a wedding venue. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just had a bottomless brunch here, always great service but today has been amazing. Isabelle our server has been amazing, we have had so many drinks, more than the other times I have been, but everytime that bottomless brunch has been worth the money, but she is a credit to the team and has been fantastic today. Thank you so much for the amazing service, can't wait to return once again xxx

Loved this place will definitely go back

After boycotting eating here for for a good while due to an abysmal Sunday roast (see past review) and lack of consistency (Items missing i.e. no sour cream one day, no guac another on nachos. Missing sides. Drastically different portion sizes or ingredients on each visit, etc), we reluctantly returned. Thankfully the lunch was fantastic, one of the best roast beef dinners we have had in a while with the addition of the cauli cheese too. 🤤 Please keep up the consistency as it's really disappointing when you order something and it isn't as described or is totally different to a previous visits.

Really lively with excellent service. Attentive but not over bearing. The practice of putting paper on plates needs to stop. This isn't the only place that does it. A nice change and will be back.

Can definitely recommend the Cosmo's, Espresso Martini's and Baby Guinness went down lively!!!! Great place with a great atmosphere!

Excellent place with excellent staff. Have been coming weekly for the last 5 weeks to the quiz on Thursday.

Fantastic place and will recommend it with pleasure BUT quick note to the owners, don't safe on food. Portions are smaller and smaller every time, don't go that route. xx

This was fab, we did the bottomless brunch and it didn't disappoint!! The food was great and the drink kept flowing for our 2hr slot!!

Worst bottomless brunch ever.....waited over 20 minutes for fresh drinks brought to the table .....food was lovely and warm when served buy drinks service needs looking at ....

Fantastic food the best I've had for a Sunday dinner properly cooked no aldanti rubbish the veg was amazing the chicken was moist and tasty the beef was flavourful loads of gravy in agravie boat the Yorkshire pudding you could wear as a hat the whole place was A1 will be going there again

Lost star ratings because whilst my food was good to eat. My order was missed by the kitchen staff, so whilst the other 3 members of our table received their meals and ate them I had to wait and eat alone. No compensation or real apology for the mistake.

Just love going to The Cabinet. Nice atmosphere, fast service and lovely food. Cocktails are great too. Children catered for with a children's menu and some colouring crayons. Half price on selected food items Monday and Thursday.

Great night of fun darts games with great friends and a great service from the staff.. really good night....

Part of a large group the service was rubbish, had to call someone over to order anything. It seemed like our mains where forgotten about until I reminded staff and then it looked to have been rushed out.

One of the best bars I’ve ever had a beer in. Come in every Thursday for the quiz and it’s never let us down.

The food here is lovely they often have a live singer too. Waitress didn’t pay much attention to us. However I would definitely recommend.

I was out with a bunch of workmates for an evening of food, drinks & craic. This is a lovely spot. The food was quite nice. Service was very, very good, I must say. They were quick & friendly too 5⭐️ There was a lovely vibe. Really liked the cocktails & I was informed the mocktails were very tasty too. The only gripe that I had was that I felt shoehorned in. The tables are somewhat close together 🥴 If you fancy meeting up with family or friends, this is a good spot for that.

This is the second time we have tried The Cabinet and we were apprehensive after a very poor first visit with bad service and limited menu availability. It was a Thursday evening and quite busy but we stayed and ordered, it took a long time to get our starter and after a couple of drinks and over 2 hours waiting for our main we eventually gave up and paid for our drinks and starters. No explanation or apologies for staff. We will not be recommending this venue or returning to try again.

Food very good. Friendly staff.. Nice for dining in one side. But also nice for a drink in the other side... New individual darts area which is really nice. Recommended for a really nice evening my friends top matched the new deco. Sorry couldn't resist 😂

The Cabinet usual high standard for quality of tasty food had dropped on this occasion (bottomless brunch). Christmas Routine...was dry....no gravy Hanging Kebabs...lacked flavour Drinks...once the waitress delivers your drinks you will need to place your next order for drinks or due of thirst waiting to be served your next round if drinks Cramped seating position With a full on infrared heater on our backs. Waitresses were all well presented and polite

Went into cabinet down Atherton saterday afternoon with the better half , Lorayne ordered half a lager and I asked for a pint of bitter … bar person ( female ) sez “ we don’t sell bitter “ me perplexed said since when ? she sez we sell what’s in these pumps so I asked her did she have any real ales again she sez we just have what’s in the pumps . I plumb for a bottle of beers coz I don’t feel to good and can’t be bothered. I sit down Lorayne shows me the drinks menu 1st thing on it is Boddingtons bitter so I show the bar person and politely say if anyone ask for a pint of bitter that’s it , so she sez “ well you learn summat every day “unbelievable .the price they charge and then use obviously untrained staff pissed me right off the bat. I’ll take me custom elsewhere in future

Perfect everytime. Whether I'm out for a drink with mates or having a meal with family on a weekend. The food is really nice and a good selection. We're here today for our Anniversary meal and had a great time. Kids kept busy with colouring pictures and crayons.

Love this place so much. Been there a few times and we’re so lucky to have a place like this on our doorstep - so not having to venture into Liverpool or Manchester for a similar vibe! With various rooms/areas it caters for if you want a quieter social drink, or if you’re after more of a party atmosphere - or in a larger group - there’s the bottomless brunches and also live bands. The brunches are great value so very popular so it can often get very busy and loud! There’s an impressive range of food and I thought that for their price positioning the food exceeded expectation and the range of drinks is very good as well. It’s a family ran place and the management and staff are flat out but go out of their way to look after you. They’ve gone the extra mile several times when we’ve been there. You’ll see from the reviews nearly everyone gives 5 stars and they’ve earned this! There can be delays when they are at their busiest - but that can be said of anywhere - so bear this in mind if you’re heading there on the busiest days. The live entertainment is beyond top drawer! They had a live singer/guitarist last time we were there and in no time he had us up dancing and joining in, taking requests and playing new songs and old. I’ve had some of my best nights in recent years at the cabinet! The busier days/nights won’t suit everyone but I can’t recommend it enough and i can’t wait to be there again!

A group of friends went for a night out. There were some delays with being 12 of us, but the serving staff could not have done more for us. A lovely restaurant (very Instagram-able) and lovely food. The cocktails were perfect (especially Cherry Coke!!). We had an amazing time. Thank you for being so accommodating to such a large group!

Fantastic place! Food always brilliant, served on time always, even within our large party during bottomless brunch! Drinks are great. All staff are incredible, polite, friendly, work extremely hard. Fantastic value for money whether you want a small meal & drinks during the week, or head out for the brilliant live music and atmosphere at weekends, please go for bottomless brunch...nowhere like it, its amazing. Gem of a place, & highly recommended always!!

Overpriced. £15 for a supposed meat feast pizza, base soggy, more meat on a butchers pencil. Staff are good though.

There was 10 of us and we could not order food until everyone was seated which was difficult with us all going to the bar, toilet and smoking

It's OK. We were there for bottomless brunch in a group of 12. Having been sat down we waited 30 minutes for the first drinks. I think we were 3 drinks in before food arrived. The food was OK, but nothing special. Also for a big guy like me you didn't get much. The cocktails were overly sweet for my tastes but were OK. As a venue it is quite nice. It was very noisy and difficult to actually have a conversation. In summary, if all you want is to get pissed with average cocktails and average food this is the place for you.

Food is amazing ate hear many times bad points are the whole building is a raging hot box could realy do with more ventilation or fans and it is very loud have to shout to have a conversation but the quality of the food out weigh the issues but word of warning if booking large table they do rush you to make your orders had a booking for 11 people and before every one had arrived they was pressuring us to order for the people who had not yet arrived and only gave us 2 hours at the table so had to rush our food you'd think with 11 people at a table and nearly £10 a cocktail they would want to keep you in as long as possible but apparently not

Great place to eat or drink or do both. The Sunday roast is amazing and it's not overpriced either. Most of it is on one level so suitable for disabled visitors.

First time at The Cabinet. Food is fantastic, service was excellent, thanks very much Amy and the music was great too. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend. We had pork belly, garlic bread with cheese and meatballs to start, the hanging kebabs and Chicken supreme burger and to finish the Raspberry Flangipane and Choc Chip Cookie Dough.
