It's been a while since I have been here but I went again recently and the food is still great. Simple and good comfort food. I used to get takeaways from here too several years ago and it never disappointed. The staff are as friendly as ever and the atmosphere is great as there are plenty of satisfied customers inside.

I came after reading the very positive reviews, searching for an authentic place where to have an English breakfast before leaving London. I was not disappointed! The staff (Frankie and the gentleman whose name I unfortunately don’t know) were caring and friendly. The atmosphere very laid back and familiar, away from the hustle and bustle of fake-chic cafes in downtown London and even around. The food genuine and tasty. If I ever had the chance to be around, I would definitely visit again!

Love this place. Epic, authentic, English breakfast - the big breakfast 2 is a must. Friendly and quick service from the staff. Slightly on the pricey side but worth it for a treat!

Best place for some pure british breakfast.

My first time here. The food and the atmosphere is utterly great, not like ordinary “fancy” takeaway coffee shops. I’ll keep coming and see what they are hiding here :)

Had lunch there today I think they were trying to feed the 5000 with the size of the portion I got today!

A great local cafe that offer proper , authentic English breakfast. We have been there seven years ago and when we went there this morning we really enjoyed our breakfast. The service was as great as before, I ordered some toast with my breakfast but forgot to mention not to have any butter on them. when I asked them to see if they cam change it , this lovely lady brought some extra toast immediately which was very nice ( I know some other cafes in the area would probably charge !) . The quality of the breakfast was great, not greasy at all and so fairly priced. Would definitely be going back again.

What a mega breakfast. Enough for two of us to share. Quick, tasty, humongous. Staff so friendly and happy to do substitutions. Lovely friendly but calm environment. Will definitely return.

Far too pricey for a cafe. Chips were overcooked. The person taking the order had a very limited grasp of the English language. Hence, I went without my bread and butter, just as well for 60p a slice.

Tucked round the corner from the trendy cafes of Muswell Hill you'll find this slightly upmarket London caff - and it's great! Straightforward food that's very well done. Excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely staff, comfortable surroundings and no pressure to leave. If you're after artisan bread - don't go here. If you're after an excellent BLT on wholemeal for an incredibly good price (maybe after a hoof around Ally Pally) - this is the place for you!

Wow.. just wow! Having pree'd this place for a long time, today I decided to give it a try & wasn't left disappointed at all.. The food was cooked perfectly & very tasty; first cafe that's fried the toast under the egg, which resulted in taste buds overload 🤤 Customer service was lovely, no complaints 👌🏼 5* based on overall experience, would definitely recommend as best cafe in local proximity 👏🏼

It's been a long time since I've eaten here, but the food is as good as ever. A good cafe with some tasty and generous all day breakfasts.

Very nice stuff and very nice inside food. And very nice service, and the lamb shoulder is the best and quite cheap :) I recommend it to everyone!

There is no glitz or glamour. You get what you order. It is clean and the service is good. My bacon and egg sandwich was just as I ordered. Perfect. Wouldn't go anywhere else for this.

Little cute place to have a relaxing breakfast/meal. Portions are very big and the taste is delicious. Completely worth it. The copule working there is lovely and prices are good as well. Definitely I’ll come back! Got out of here happy and full :)

Basic freshly made tuna and salad sandwich was delicious.

The perfect fry up. These guys know how to make a good fry up and you definately will leave feeling full and satisfied. My only gripe is the tables and sauces were not clean (mayo bottle looked contaminated) and glasses looked stained like they hadn't been cleaned properly. This aside, a great place to eat.

staff serve really good food and good take away service. before lockdown you could sit in the cafe and it was clean and food was good then too. The Greek breakfasts were lovely

I don't go here often, but absolutely love it when I do. When ever I want a breakfast roll, this is my go-to spot if I am nearby. The bacon and sausage roll, which is what I get, is beautiful. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Service with a smile. Defo recommend this place.

Ordered a humble sausage and egg roll, expected the usual... Very pleasantly surprised to open the bag in the van to find a nice light ciabatta style roll, square, that accomodated the ingredients perfectly. Finally someone making an effort!! Nice friendly service at the till. Highly recommended

Best cafe around! Been coming here for around 15 years. No one does an English breakfast like Tony and his staff. His lunch time specials are great too. Clean and fresh always..10/10!!

Quick stop on a breakfast break. Lovely sausage sandwich and tea. Staff were very pleasant.

I really liked it there light open airy. Tuck was right good too, if a little on the oily side for me. But I'd go back if I'm in the area. Menu was good, tea was out the pot good. The loos however are a bit rank to be fair. If you're a lady take note.

Great cuppa and super double eggs and chips ,never fails to satisfy.

Finally managed to park right outside this brilliant cafe and had a full English for the first time in years. Don't think I will be able to eat again until Wednesday! Excellent food, great atmosphere and good value for the money.

Great food at reasonable prices. I have been eating at the Broadway Cafe for many years and look forward to continuing for many more.

Greasy spoon in the best possible way: independently owned, personable staff, quick service. If you want a traditional English breakfast in a clean, well kept setting, you won’t go wrong here.

Not the best experience on food I've had however it is a greasy spoon so what does anyone expect... Main complaint would be that the sauces were in Heinz and HP bottles but the content inn the bottles weren't... cheap a very nasty sauces and my beans were heated up in a microwave... which I can't stomach.

1950s food at 2018 prices. Tasteless mushroom omelette and salad £5.50. If you looking for a worker's cafe serving good food at reasonable prices...go elsewhere!

That this place exists, in the black heart of yummy-mummy land, should fill us all with encouragement. A totally unreconstructed caff manned by extras from 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest'. Unlike their punters, they probably all voted Brexit: hurrah! I used to go every Saturday and have a veggie breakfast with a stack of toast, juice and coffee (and one for the road darlinck. No wonder I weighed 15st.

Beautiful authentic breakfast...well cooked and looked liked someone cared about the food they served. Will always return here!

This is possibly the least friendly cafe I have visited in North London. if you have children avoid this place at all cost, no high chairs and a very clear atmosphere that kids are not welcome. If you are after an authentic kleftico, they are some excellent places in East Finchley and Bounds Green.

Fantastic place. Perfect traditional London cafe for breakfasts etc. Always recommend and great value for money (I'd suggest going for breakfast number 1). Very fast service too.
