The Bridge Restaurant Diner & Bar in Newham

The dish was very small and coming straight out of the refridgirator. I ordered a chicken salat and got 3 pieces of COLD chicken on rice. The guacamole was frozen on the inside. Just aweful.

We attended the Grand Designs Live at Excel. We chose the Bridge Restaurant for our lunch. We ordered Mushroom Burger with Fries, and Peruvian Marinated Chicken Tights. Although we received our food very fast, but our food was cold. I mentioned to the waiter about this matter.

Awful cold food with no flavour. Wrong item was sent initially. Food appears as though it is not cooked fresh. I had the chicken burger and my friend had the teriyaki salmon. The condiment bottles don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in months. Better off going to the Costa downstairs.

High prices, dry tasteless food, awful service, uncomfortable seating. Avoid at all costs. Wish I’d read the reviews first!

Very Slow and indifferent, inefficient service. It took over 30 minutes and two prompts to get a basic starter (1 chicken wings and 1 hummus) and almost an hour for the main to arrive, again after having to ask twice. It's chaotic, and the front of house person was hopeless. The food is nothing special, like pub grub and very expensive.

Attending an event at excel in London we wanted a quick meal in between events First it took ages to get a table even though there were many waiters and free tables Then the food took ages and the drinks even longer Finally it took ages to get the bill How they can be so slow with so many waiters is a mystery - their excuse was it was a busy day - of course it’s at one of the bigger event locations in London Food was so so when we first got it Not impressed

We were the only people in the restaurant. Ordered our food, starters came out within minutes. Not sure freshly cooked hot chicken wings. The hummus was drenched in oil. Before my husband could finish the chicken wings the waitress came over and said are you ready for you burgers. Got the burgers. 1 burger with cheese (proceeds square cheese), burger with bacon& chicken burger with bacon. Chicken burger was very dry and early inedible. I gave half of my burger to my daughter so she had something to eat. Will definitely not be returning

A repeat visit with a collegue. I disliked it last time (See my review and apology from the staff on here) This time, we went for two of their burgers at lunch time. After waiting 45 minutes, I politely asked where it was. We got a shrug. I cornered the manager and was extremely polite to him. Food arrived about 10 minutes later. Food adequate if it was half the price. Frankly this place is a low quality high price ripoff. Service is appalling. Handling orders and delivers from the pass to the table is incoherent. Looks to be complete lack of staff training going on here. Adding on the default service charge was the last straw. Would not return. Have now tried three times. Its been dreadful every time. Meanwhile, they keep raking in the money.

£15.00 for a burger and 9.95 for a caesar salad with no chicken and no bacon . Service ??? You order on a tablet . It shouldn't exist it is a shame for the catering industrie , don't go and spend your money it is over price .

Simply awful for a "restaurant" in a supposedly premier location like the ExCel venue. Firstly our drinks glasses were filthy .. still had someones lipstick and finger marks all over the glass!! Ordered "Hot & Spicy" chicken wings which were anything but hot & spicy & tasted like they had been cooked one or two days earlier . They tasted bland ,greasy and bit like dog breath! I complained and took an alternative of chicken jambalaya which just about edible because of the rice which I suspect was microwaved and out of a packet; the chicken was overcooked ,slightly burnt , dry and greasy; at £16.50 it was nothing short of a joke & a rip off. We decided to give the dessert a miss! The one star is for the salad & the waiting service which was attentive and I guess blameless for the terrible food - and for the free drinks we were given after the filthy glasses were replaced. And in fairness , the manager did make an effort to appease my complaint about the wings. Our advice: GIVE IT A MISS! Find anywhere else in ExCel to eat because not much could be worse than this!

Visited Excel for Avengers Station exhibit for a birthday treat. Planned to eat here as website indicated restaurant would be open (as venues available vary by date). Disappointed to find restaurant actually closed, staff at affiliated bar were unsure if would be open later so had to settle for the Bridge restaurants burger outlet. Staff struggled to remember order of 2 burgers, 1 side and 2 drinks, food was poorly presented being balanced on a too small cardboard carton. Burger was ok quality meat, but fries were lukewarm and tasted of dirty fat. Was going to complain but staff more interested in chatting to each other than tending to customers. Poor value for £25! Decided not to stay after exhibition to see if restaurant opened later - headed off to the O2 instead

Bad service, food is not value for money and toilets are disgusting. Staff were not motivated to serve and the food had little to no seasoning at all. Finally, the toilets were in a bad state. It is a unisex toilet and toilet paper could be seen strewn all over and the toilet bowls were filthy. Avoid this place if you can.

Lovely welcome from a very cheerful and friendly lady who looked after us a very good breakfast before Comicon would definitely go again

Long waiting times while many tables are free. Poor menu. The taste of the food is ok, but the amount is ridiculous for the price. Drinks you get in cans. Never again.
