The Boot Micropub is a modern style bar with an excellent range of beers larger and cider, including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales, and there is a wide range of bottled continental beers. There is an outsider seating area at the front of the pub. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they have, its a good pub.

My favourite spot in Wellington. The Boot Micropub has a constantly changing lineup of craft beers, real ales and ciders. Interesting selection of Belgian bottles in the fridge, as well as alcohol free and gluten free beers available. Sunday afternoons have a great community vibe with “bring your own vinyl” sessions a particularly popular feature. Girls Beer Social, quizzes and DJ nights also feature, and a range of cocktails for non beer drinkers is a nice touch.

This little pub has a lot of potential to be good but the beer they had on tap wasn't great and the bartender had no idea about beer and real ale.

After being recommended by a friend, it was a real disappointment. Love the actual venue and atmosphere, but the beer really let the place down. First pint was really good, but the second was cloudy (end of the barrel). This was replaced, but this was also cloudy (worse this time). Problem was obviously that a couple of pints needed pulling thost to clear the pipes. However, the chap behind the bar just said the barrel was a new one. We ended up having something else, but not what I'd expect from somewhere serving real ale. A real shame.

Absolutely awful arrived at 10.40pm.to be told by bar man that could not serve us. When pointed out said 11pm on door was berated by female customer that law was drinking up time half hour I have been in the pub business long enough to know that it is 11pm last orders and 11.10 drinking up.time. This experience has soured my view of the pub which up to now I have enjoyed if you want the custom and want to shut early on a Friday night please make it plain.howecer the whole point I.eould of thought of having a pub was making money with repeat customers well sorry I will not be one of them.

This is my favourite regular haunt. Always an interesting selection of craft beers and ciders, and cocktails for the non beer drinkers. Although they don’t do a daily food menu any more, there are lots of really fun ad-hoc collaborations with local food providers such as Odd Pals and The Orange House. Bring your own vinyl DJ sessions on Sunday afternoons are also a great vibe.

A great little micropub right in the Square in the market town of Wellington. Lots of beer choice with 4 cask real ales (including local Stonehouse and Hobsons beers) and a wide selection of keg beers. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. A great advantage is its location 2 mins from the Wellington mainline railway station and nearby bus station. There is an excellent Spanish tapas restaurant opposite called 'the Orange House'!

Noticed that The Boot was serving breakfast so decided to give it a go. A friendly greeting immediately we went in. A small area, spotlessly clean. Not a big menu, but comprehensive and imaginative. Excellent coffee served quickly. Food was outstanding, my husband had a bacon and egg sandwich on quality bread, he said it was delicious. I opted for avocado on toast but without the poached egg. Enormous meal- beautiful toast and not just avocado but mushrooms, tomatoes and chilli flakes. It was absolutely amazing. Appropriate checkback, lovely friendly server. Other meals being served all looked great, the full English looked particularly amazing. The Boot will be my breakfast venue every time i visit Wellington.

Great real ale bar with an excellent selection of beers. Only issue is that I called in 9:05 on Thursday to be told that last orders had already been called - about half an hour hour before advertised closing time! Seems strange when pub was busy and closing time is early anyway. Wouldn’t want this to deter potential customers.

My wife , son and I have now visited the recently renovated and reopened Boot twice this month (July 2023) . The Boot feels more comfortable and inviting once inside . The quality of the real ales ( they now have 5) continues to be superb and are a delight to sample . The Boot also has a small number of chairs and tables outside in the pedestrianised space. A friendly and welcoming small bar now offer snack food as well. Easy access and great real ales! Old Review I visited The Boot Micropub for the first time on a preview night on the evening of Thursday 07 July 2022. The Boot has the same feeling as its 'sister' pub The Coracle in Ironbridge with an intimate bar area for about 30 people. The bar is in a corner location of the pedestrianised market square ( opposite the Walnut) . It is planning to have outdoor seating on the pavement around the outside of the bar. On entering The Boot the bar is on the far right handside with a unisex toilet on the rear left handside. It is offering 4 real ales plus a real cider with a great selection of unusual and ever changing beers on offer. It also has many keg lines plus a can fridge. Parking is a short walk away - I parked in Belmont / Tan Bank which is usually very quiet on the evenings and another one the Swimming Pool car park is also quite close (all public car parks in Wellington are free although you have to get a free ticket from a machine for some . Limited disabled parking is available in a few on street parking bays on Church Street opposite the Wellington Orbit Community Cinema and Cafe about 25 metres from the Boot Micropub. A wonderful and unique addition to the real ale scene highly recommended.

Loads of beers to try. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Also gin & small wine selection. Good location nr railway station, cinema & other bars. Friendly girl serving. Only down side for me was I found it very bright and clinical inside which didn't create any atmosphere. I think dimmer lighting would be better. Also outside seating would be fab. A new small micropub has opened in the main square in the market town of Wellington (Shropshire). It is well situated in the centre of the town, only 2 minutes from Wellington railway and bus stations (so great for public transport). It is an old cafe reinvented as a real ale and craft beer micropub (also serving wine) with indoor seating, free wi-fi and good customer service. There is a great choice of up to 5 interesting real ales and 7/8 craft beers as well as draught cider. It is very close to the Wellington Market which has a food court for meals and snacks.

Not the best of first impressions unfortunately after passing it for the past few weeks in excitement. Way over priced beers that shocked me. Not a chance will I be paying £5 plus for a pint when it’s £3 down the road for a real ale selection. More of a shop than a micro brewery. I’d get some offers going first and drag the customers in before hitting them with those prices. Not surprised after reading that it’s the sister shop of the ironbridge company that’s also an eye opener on the price.

Well priced, the servings are sadly smaller than some of the competition in Telford. Staff are very friendly which I do like when your waiting for your food to be prepared. Myself and Wife have the vegan pies too which are nice. Would love to see some more vegan options, maybe something similar to the Aldi Vegan battered sausage or some vegan donner? Would love to see larger servings in the large chips. Being shut on a Sunday is a shame, even being open over lunch 12-2pm or something would be nice 😊

Visited here for Sunday lunch while visiting Telford for the weekend. Found bar staff a little abrupt to begin with and then quite regimented with their 'sitting time' - there's 12.15, 2.15 or 4.15pm. We weren't allowed to order until our set time then found ourselves waiting for 35 minutes for our meals. We couldn't understand this as staff knew how many people were booked in and were only cooking roast lunches! Food was good when it arrived, all fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire pudding. Roast potatoes were over cooked and almost hollow, other than that the food was generally good. Not sure we'd go again, it was a strange one!
