Table of 5. 2 meals cone out. 10 minutes pass before the 3rd meal comes. 2 sent back to reheat and 1 to re cook. Very disappointing to be fair. Management acknowledged it but no real reparation

Had lunch here for the first time and it was nice enough. Would've liked a lunch menu with lighter bite options but main menu is for all day. Plenty on menu but some options may not be for everyone. Friendly staff.

We have been here before and food always lovely this time was very disappointing. Started of soup was nice we both had beef from Sunday lunch menu it was very hard to cut and chewy vegetables and potato was ok

Was totally surprised by the Boathouse. Excellent service, friendly staff and lovely food. Definitely worth a visit. Probably the best restaurant I have visited in the Antrim area. If you are in the area then go! 👍😁

This was my second time for lunch at The Boathouse . The staff/ service was flawless very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the menu offered plenty of selection. Definately will be back !

Had a meal last night fish OK but the steaks were pathetic full of fat and the portions very small. Ordered veg didn't come. The staff member was to busy being a comedian to remember the order.

Disappointed. Sunday menu not online. Was looking forward to a better menu / food choice. Had we known the limited menu would have went to the golf club next door. Booked in advance but asked to move tables before we finished to accommodate a larger group. Won’t be running back anytime soon sorry folks not for us this time

Have been a few times now and enjoyed the food and service, however, today, not so much. Took our friends who are vegetarians. They both ordered the chickpea burger from the vegetarian menu to be told, "we don't do that anymore." So they then ordered the halloumi burger to be told, "that's not available today." So they had to pick a 3rd option. We asked for tea with the meal, it came before the meal and was already not very warm, by the time the meal arrived the tea was cold. These are the reasons for awarding 3 stars. This restaurant is under new management and I've been back 3 times since it has been taken over. The food and service has been excellent. My previous postings really concerned the vegan option and the service at the time.

We went to the boathouse to celebrate my son's Confirmation. Nothing was any bother. Was allowed to decorate table. I was also allowed to bring cake, which my guests could be dessert. Service was personal and swift. Food was great. I highly recommend the sweet chilli chicken. Was the best I have ever had. Round the table also included red Thai curry, surf and turf, tacos and burgers. Defo come back again. Gorgeous

Have had dinner here on a number of occasions and the food is fabulous . The staff are so friendly and very helpful. The views from the restaurant over the lough are stunning . Atmosphere is very relaxed and the restaurant is spotless .

I was pleased to hear the Boat House had reopened. I took My Mother out for her Birthday Dinner on December 09th with her Sister and family. I was not impressed, I had emailed the Resturante to let then know of my Mother's Birthday snd enquired about a surprise cake. Also to alocate a a toom space as my Mother is disabled and this was not accommodated for. I did not get a response and no cake or mention of her Birthday during are time. We asked for a cup of Decaff Tea and a cup of cafè. No Decaff Tea was available and whilst my cousin and excused ourselves to go outside to smoked we took a tour of the museum. It has to asked for three times. Very poor and sloppy... We had been 45 minutes and when returned to our table the Tea and cafè had just arrived 45 minutes later, with no apology. Note the restaurant was not busy and staff were standing around the bar some on their mobile phone, it lacked professionalism and could not get any staff attention when needed. The atmosphere did not have a good positive vibe, whereas the previous resurant was quite the opposite. It was a smooth operation with alert on the ball staff and the feel.of rather upmarket establishment This new one lacks efficiency and is rather like the losing team cafè form The Aprentice. Our meal was nice but not anything to write home about and rather expensive, we should have got discounted for apathetic service.

Excellent service from all staff especially our female server. Sorry didn't get her name. We were not rushed throughtout the mesl. Each of us (4 in our party) got a different meal, fish and chips, thai curry, bang bang chicken and veal. Everyone said there food was delicious 😋 . We will be back and highly recommend. Good improvement 👏 on service and men choice.

Lovely setting, the food was excellent and friendly staff ,our table position beside a swinging kitchen door was not exceptable and the seating was awful the most uncomfortable seat I have ever sat on when out for a meal it was obvious as it was New Year's Eve they'd put extra tables in the restaurant not giving consideration to the comfort of their customers. In response to the owners reply ( few complaints Re Seating and table position) 1 complaint about something is 1 too many if you value your customers

First time here and will be back, and would highly recommend to anyone. Had the chicken burger and it was fantastic, arrived super quick and was terrific value for money, staff were very friendly and chatty, very clean, bright and great views, top notch all round

Excellent restaurant I I did know existed. My son booked for me as a pre Ulster Rugby match at Ravenhill. I feel that some publicity would let the public know of your GREAT restaurant. The dish I had is not listed below. Venison cottage pie strongly recommended.

We were out for Christmas dinner and it was a great meal, absolutely full to the brim.

Called in to grab a couple of takeaway coffees and HC 8oz cups, 12 oz prices and only half full V Poor

It was a really lovely place. We stopped for some snacks only as we had other arrangements later on. Soup of the day was seasoned so well and the homemade loaf on the side with butter was so nutty and rich and sweet, it was amazing. Wings were lovely as well. Great place to stop for some refreshments if you're around!

We ate here for our wedding anniversary and we were blown away by the food and service. Such an improvement from the previous management! Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing atmosphere and fantastic food

Went for a large team meal today and we were very impressed. We were able to prebook which was handy. Service was good- very attentive and helpful. Lovely friendly atmosphere. And the most important thing....food was really tasty! Everyone was happy with their choices, will definitely be back. So glad to see such a nice venue opened again.

First time visiting under new ownership and WOW what a meal we had. The Sunday roast menu was delicious and all courses were great. Really good value too and the kids menu wasn’t just sausage and chips!! We will be back again soon. Thank you team Boathouse!

There is no doubt, one is the best ambience in town. Food is awesome but it comes with a price. It's dearer than I thought as compared to other places in Antrim.

Our first visit to the Boathouse will not be our last. We really enjoyed it! Everything about it was really good considering they only reopened a few days ago. We found the atmosphere very relaxing and we weren't rushed in any way. Service was great, not in your face or inattentive but just right. The food was all very good quality and the deserts had that home made feel which you don't always get. Overall, very good and no faults and for what it's worth, totally recommended by me!

What an improvement! Congrats to the new owners/management. A truly great meal today - Sole Veronique for me and Venison Cottage Pie for him. Truly delicious perfectly cooked food which was served by friendly, attentive staff in the beautiful surroundings of Lough Neagh. The Boathouse Banger cocktail went down very well too. We will definitely be back😋

It's advertised as fish restaurant but not much fish coises. and then it's from frozen and not from fresh and on top of that not even a pinch of salt on the fish for flavour. If you like an overcooked pasta with a smoked salmon from tesco it's the place to go 👌

Decent food at a reasonable price, but what let it down was the sloppy service. Had to get up and ask for things a couple of times, including the dessert menu, which they forgot to bring after we had asked. Also, we struggled to pay. The view was great but better outside than in.

We had the pleasure of dining here on Sunday night. The night they closed their doors. It's a shame they had to close down it was a lovely spot. The pizza was so good.

Practically perfect in every way. We arrived for a bite of lunch not realizing that it is normal practice to have a reservation at this venue, however we were very kindly accommodated. We are more prone to have a treat like this from time to time now that there is only one little one at home. The atmosphere is conducive to having a small family get together, we will certainly be back with a slightly bigger party.

The food was absolutely atrocious I ordered a pizza and there was a big dirty hair on it. The staff are so rude they have no kindness at all. The people beside us weren’t even wearing shoes. The food took so long to come. The food wasn’t even cooked properly. And it’s so dear. I would rate this a 0 if I could

Oh wow! The food was absolutely superb!!! I mean... Outstanding!! I got the salmon and smoked eel starter which was just pure flavour!!! Then I had the Italian burger which yet again was brilliant! The chips are like chip shop chips but 10 times better and crispier! My wife got the chicken pizza which yet again got top marks and finished on the biscoff cheesecake. The meal and drinks were extremely well priced! Only reason for not giving full marks on service was due to the fact that we were waiting a long time for desert and also even longer to get the bill and then another long wait to pay. This wouldn't normally be an issue but we needed to get back home.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the The boathouse a charming restaurant that overlooked lough neagh. The ambiance was delightful, with the tranquil view of the water creating a soothing and picturesque backdrop for the entire dining experience. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the fish and chips. The dish was prepared to perfection, with the fish cooked to a crisp golden brown and the chips perfectly seasoned and crispy. The flavors were spot-on, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. If you're a fan of fish and chips, the boathouse is definitely a place worth visiting.

Turned up for food and was told they’re fully booked, still taking online booking, and too busy to answer the phone 🤦‍♂️

After the good reviews we decided to try it for lunch being in the area, we got take out since it was fully booked. The fish and chips were nothing special, nothing seasoned just deep fried. The prawn tacos were ok, the salad and sauce saved it because the prawns were also bland.

Ordered click and collect for 5.15 and wasn't ready until 5.50, food was ok but they forgot the salt and vinegar

1. Service was slow 2. Food was meh. Not particularly good. They brought out Appetizers and main entree at the same time, which was weird. The creme brule was very good. 3. View from the restaurant was half parking lot, half lake 4. They almost glutened us. We asked for gluten free fare due to an allergy and at one point during our meal, they brought a dish to our table covered in wheat. Overall: Disappointing.

We ordered fish and chips , a kids meal of chicken goujons & chips! Both absolutely gorgeous, my hubby said it was the best fish he's had in a long time! The chicken was lovely, 2 proper chicken massive battered goujons! We really enjoyed it. Fantastic food, and reasonably priced! Extremely impressed 😋

The experience was really good and I really enjoyed my cheese burger and the mayonnaise was lovely too and the dessert was beautiful. I really recommend the boat house.

Ottimo ristorante con pesce squisito le ragazze molto gentili e affabili, il maitre sa fare bene il suo lavoro!!! Anche lui viene dall'Italia. Abbiamo prenotato on line il giorno prima chiedendo un tavolo con vista sul lago è lo abbiamo avuto. Sia il pescato del giorno che gli altri piatti cucinati benissimo. Went early around 5pm as I had heard it gets busy. We were seated at the window looking out towards Lough Neagh. The view is amazing. The service was excellent as was the food. I had steak with garlic prawns, cooked to perfection. My wife had a chicken burger which she also enjoyed. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Beautiful views on the first floor, and great food. There's a lift up to the restaurant and all the doors are automatic (other than the toilet door), so it's accessible. Loads of fish options, some meat dishes, and also pizzas on Fridays and Saturdays. I recommend the smoked cod. It seemed to me like most meals were in the £15-20 price range. Children's meals are very big and reasonably priced at £5. Two children under 6 could definitely share one meal.

Was recently here for a birthday dinner. Firstly the Gluten free menu is fantastic my mum hasn't had proper battered fish for ages and she loved what here has to offer. The portions and quality of food are great and the drinks menu is also fantastic aswell. Would highly recommend!

We tried to order a takeaway, fish and chips and a pizza, which is clearly on the menu. I was told I couldn’t have a pizza to takeaway. I tried to find out what else they had on the menu. I was told I could have fish and chips and some of the burgers (wasn’t told which burgers) or I could have Tacos. Very limited menu when their downstairs menu has good variety advertised. Received our food and big disappointment. The fish was over cooked (dry and rubbery) and the so called triple cooked chips were blanched at best. The Taco was an oversized goujon in a wrap. Terrible service altogether. Food was less than average.

What an absolute treat it was to discover this place. Chic, quirky, nautical decor, tremendously attentive staff and some of the best seafood I've experienced, with finesse given to all the dishes' presentation. Oh and the dessert blew me away also.

Out in a party of five. Xmas treat for my partner. Food was great as always, but simply couldn't believe it when my partner asked for butter when her main arrived, and their response....we haven't got any! If you're running out of something, ask another member of staff to run out and get more......Hardly rocket science! Also difficult to get hold of staff to get the bill, too busy talking amongst themselves or with the bar staff! Been here before and food and service has been excellent, but on this occasion it was pretty poor at best!

Had a family group meal ,Christmas menu . Everyone enjoyed there meal and we were looked after by pleasant staff at a reasonable cost. Would return if in the area .
