New awful trading hours now closed for Sunday lunches. In fact closed more than open now. Very disappointing that if you stay at Prem Inn you can’t get an evening meal. Webpage still advertises old trading hours and Sunday lunch!

Staff very polite but looked stressed. Where I sat, I was surrounded by other people facing me, ordered mixed grill, chard sausages, a quarter piece of chicken breast and quarter piece of gammon hidden under the two fried eggs, only half of 4oz steak. And still over £16. Ridiculous.... If it wasn't for the staff I would have put 1 star.

I have been staying at the Premier Inn and having breakfast and dinner from The Bluebrick. I cannot put into words how wonderful the staff are. Particularly Andrea, Peps and Kim. They all went out of their way to help me each and every time and nothing was too much trouble. They were SO friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I actually joked a few times they were making me not want to go home as I was looked after so well! Thank you ladies, in a public facing role I know it’s not always easy but you guys are amazing and thoroughly appreciated ❤️.

Food is shocking, and service is worse wouldn't recommend to anyone

Asked for medium, took a long time. Steak was chewy, tough & dry, bacon was burnt, probably wouldn’t have been able to swallow it without the sauce on it. Place was empty, I wouldn’t go there for the food

The meals were very nice, although the staff got one of our orders completely wrong, and everyone had finished their meals by the time the corrected meal arrived. The restaurant Is short-staffed and food takes a long time to arrive.

Breackfast was really nice and cooked nicely peps was an a great host and always smiling

First time at this restaurant and very impressed I was. Food first... I had various starters during my stay, all were delicious...especially the spicy chicken wings......fingers just had to be lucked. Main course was same choice each time...the smothered platter. Just the right amount of food fir my rather ample appetite. The meats were all juicy and tasty. The steak was really good Monday and Tuesday...Wednesday however.......ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!! Personal preference but I like a really blue steak and usually places get close, this time however it was exactly as I eould have served it for myself. On to the staff.... Ellen, Lucy, Andrea, Jon and Liam...... Thank you for an entirely enjoyable time. Kitchen staff had the food spot on and front of house had the service the same. Checks were made to ensure I was happy with everything but, unusually, in a very unobtrusive way. The front of house team were so polite and friendly. Ellen, I've never seen anyone smile so much dealing with customers. Great chat after breakfast this morning with Andrea, got a great recommendation for a new place for a tattoo when I'm down that way again. All in all, I couldn't fault the venue, the food, nor the staff.

I am writing this for my elderly parents who last went out together in October 2022 they always used to go to the bluebrick so thought it would be nice to go there again as the food was nice their mobility isn’t the best so as they went in they went to sit at a table and was stopped suddenly by the lady who was by the door who worked there and was told stop you have to wait for a seat my mom informed her that her mobility wasn’t the best and needed to sit down which she replied no that’s not allowed and also put your number plate into the machine( very hard for 81 year olds who are not tech savvy) i am writing this as the waitress attitude was very abrupt and rude to my parents, and that further teaching is much needed into elderly people who have mobility disability’s and may need to sit down straight away when coming into the restaurant and to be mindful that their hearing may not be the best, we are all going to be old one day so please be mindful. In the end my mom was very upset and they decide not to eat there such a shame as they always used to (this was 16th May 2024)

Slow service on Saturday lunchtime serving as an away football fans pub. Nowhere near enough staff to satisfy the demand.

I had several evening meals here and enjoyed every single one along with a friend from Holland. Worth the cost.

Popped in as this was the only away pub before the football. Get there 2.5 or more hours before kick off or you'll be waiting for ever to get served....plus they have a "no hat" policy which no one could explain why! Also over £5 a pint which was a bit steep IMO.....

Great breakfast, well cooked and served quickly. We were served by Peps, who is always attentive, cheerful and really brightens our morning. A great place for a breakfast.

Not a great away pub at all to be honest gotta be better in the city surely. Super packed and awfully slow service do not recommend this pub on match.

Decent atmosphere but the service can be quite slow. It also became cash only and made it hard for away fans. There is also a 'no hat indoor' rule. It's quite pointless, outdated and unnecessary to have this. They really need to review this as there can be nowhere to sit. It is inconvenient holding it and feels like discrimination.

Nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive service by Peps. I had the full English and it came very quickly, was well cooked and hot.

We (family of 6) decided to go for a breakfast Sunday morjing due to football being a later kick off, prebooked etc all fine, the tablet wasn't set up for taking the parking registration, which they set up after I mentioned it to them. There was a small lady who grunted and grumbled at us when we were trying to order and then again whilst bringing out the food. The host was actually very good a young man but failed to see his name badge. Working in hospitality and over see our groups H&S, the first thing I noticed was multiple toasters being plugged in to an extension lead coiled up, the bread for toasting was mixed white and grained which is concerning for allergies and there was no allergen awareness signs out. The food came out Bacon - Vile, rock hard Sausages- Good Beans - Cold Mushrooms - Luke warm Hash Brown's- Good Scrambled Eggs - Watery Fried Egg - Cold, hard yolk - asked for a runny yolk As a family who often use the Bluebrick for family meals, have noticed a decline in standards and service, which is a shame as we feel now its time to try elsewhere.

Stayed overnight at Premier Inn next door so was convenient. Food was cooked well. Place it self was a bit run down. Young waitress was absolutely lovely and attentive.

Stayed at the hotel for work and over the week I had breakfast every morning at the Blue Brick. Service was A1, staff couldn’t do enough for you. Staff and service was prompt even during busy periods. If you’re lucky enough to get Peps to be on shift and serve you, you will be well looked after. Cooked food was very good and all brought out to order which is nice. Evening meal, very much the same. Decent food and not too pricey. Very good value. Would definitely recommend and if in the area for work or pleasure will definitely return.

Went for Mother's day, and found it to be very disorganised. We arrived at 12.45 and by the time we had our meal it was 3.15 when we left. We ordered my grandaughters meal of a burger with our first drink. We only did our order a little later as we needed to decide what we wanted. When our starter arrived that's when the burger arrived. Our Christmas meal was lovely we didn't have any complaints and they were full. Very disappointing not decided yet if we will be returning.

I was with a party of 15 people celebrating a 21st birthday, we waited over 30mins for drinks and the starters were ok I guess but the mains were terrible. A lot of the dishes were cold and had to go back to be reheated but when they came back they were still cold. Not a good experience and won't be going back

Clearly overwhelmed on mothering Sunday. Took over an hour for first course to arrive and a further hour plus for main course. When Main courses arrived they were barely lukewarm. Felt sorry for the server who obviously had too many tables to deal with and was very harassed trying to keep up. Not enough staff for the number of tables so not a good experience.

Lovely fresh fruit salad and great selection of cereals and breads for the continental breakfast. Peps was so friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Food is good, a variety of foods all well cooked and taste great. Didn't sleep well as there's too much noise from others in the corridors, the extractor fans in the bathrooms are too loud, room was too warm, pillows uncomfortable

This is affiliated to the Premier Inn next door. I unfortunately had booked a 5 night stay for business. It is truly awful. The food is very very average. That was night one. Night 3 and the bar person who apparently works 5 nights a week, his words, should not work any nights a week. He is surly, rude and frankly cocky. (The hotel team are lovely.) When arriving at 8.20pm I suppose 'late' in hospitality terms because of traffic and ask what time Table Table serve until and are told 8.45pm. Drop bag in room and get to restaurant at 8.35pm only to be told by the said bar staff in question that the kitchen is closed. Bearing in mind this hotel is quite a walk out of town you are stuck with no food. It is really truly appalling service. Please think twice about booking here.

Really good evening pre a football match. Served by Gaby who was friendly and very efficient. It was busy and she was working hard. Food was the normal fare. Perfectly decent.

Came for a Birthday breakfast for Dad's birthday. Lovely food, clean surroundings. We were looked after well by Lucy and Asende. Dad even got a little present for his birthday!

Was a really nice experience we’ve come a few times and never had any issues , we were served by Andrea and she was lovely !

Had the festive offer before Christmas. Place not packed so lovely. Meal was good quality and piping hot. Been to blue brick before with large party and not so good. This time only five of us and brilliant. £22 each for three courses and drink. Outstanding value. Well done 👍

Very average xmas dinner. Nearly forty minutes wait between starter and main course. Starter was a tiny bowl of pate with 3 slices of brown bread and a bit of butter. The main was OK the meat and roasters was alright but no stuffing. All the veg was under cooked. Dessert was black forest gateau that came in a glass, i was expecting a slice on a plate.It was just slop more like a smoothie i couldn't eat it. Very average indeed.

Standard table table pub. Nowt wrong with the evening. Slightly slow service but nothing major. Food was decent, I had the festive burger and it was very tasty, can recommend the loaded roast potatoes.

I have visited this restaurant on three occasions over the last three years, and although the atmosphere is really warm and friendly, the service is painfully slow. The food is good but expensive for what you receive. Unfortunately, mistakes with orders were made on every visit.

Went to a family gathering here. had to wait 1 hour before our food came, food was dry and nobody was happy with their meal. Will not come here again. Absolutely appalling. also the pictures in the menu did not reflect the portion sizes that we got.

Service slow from start ..waited 1 hrs for food..waited 2 hrs just for water ..we going now and it still hasn't come

Had a lovely meal and was served by Andrea who was very attentive. The only down side is that there was a constant draft in the restaurant but apart from that a very welcoming restaurant.

Booked a meal last night for a table of 10. Arrived and we were waiting 15 minutes for someone to come over to us to be seated. At this point we were told that they didn’t have a table and we would have to wait for someone else to leave to have a table. After a longer wait we were informed that when a table did become available we would be seated on two separate tables that would be ‘close-ish’. The manager was completely useless and had no idea how to manage a restaurant and told us that our table was not as important as we had booked the day before whereas others had booked a month ago? She then told us we should’ve rang up to book rather than use the online booking system. Considering we had 5 children in the party the fact they expected us to stand up waiting in the entrance with no times was ridiculous. When I pointed this out the manager also said we would be waiting a long time on food as a Christmas party would be prioritised over us. The restaurant was in absolute carnage with other people waiting on tables and nowhere near enough staff and a completely useless manager who had no idea how to run a restaurant.

We had been worried about my mother as she hadn’t been eating well for a while but she ate everything and asked for more. We all really enjoyed the atmosphere and look forward to coming back again. Thanks to our servers: Lucy, Asende & Fiona ❤️

Nice place to eat food average service ok

I have stayed away from home for work a lot recently and this has to of been the best place so far. Ellen & Andrea where particularly amazing along will all the staff here! This has to be one of the best places I’ve eaten at in a long time, staff are happy to help and nothing is too much trouble for them! I will be back here a lot over the next few weeks and I’m glad I will be dining here for this time.

It is expensive for what it is. Food service is very slow. Wine served in plastic glasses, requested glass, and was given glass.

The black lady at the bar with red wig ,is very rude ,put hand infront of my face ,to show me I should stop talking ,very rude lady pior service from her ,interesting part she was kind to other customers but not to us .

Good proper pub grub, but the service from Andrea stood out. Couldn’t ask for any more and made sure we felt welcome, would come back again

●Firstly me and my friends arrived in separate cars to find we each had to pay £5 .To park as it was a match day (Even though the match had almost finished) which was none refundable off our meals. ●The menu had changed since my last visit. It was mainly burgers or it contained pork. There was very little choice. ● When the food arrived the presentation was not the best the chips were well over cooked and the portion size was quite small for the price of the meals. ● The only good thing was the lovely guy who served our food he was very pleasant and helpful Therefore we did not have the best experience and found it to be rather disappointing

Food was ok when it arrived and was at least piping hot. Staff were unattentive and unapologetic when the food arrived after we had been there for over 1 hour and 20 minutes. Manager offered us another round of drinks which was ok but we wouldn't have needed a second drink of the food had arrived quicker.

We had a very good stay at premier Inn and breakfast and dinner at The Bluebrick. Peps and team were excellent... We will be back

Good value for money and tasty food. Service was friendly and efficient. It was a quiet early Sunday evening when we visited. The temperature was a little cold, but they did switch on the heating around midpoint of our time there, so pleasant for the most part.

Nice pub restaurant, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Not been for years but will definitely be returning.

Visiting from the United States, Andrea was exceptionally helpful and understanding of our requirements. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend her services - she deserves a perfect score of 10/10!

Andrea was phenomenal. So gentle and accommodating with my 7yo, getting his food out quickly addressing him, helping him avert a hunger meltdown...

Absolutely wonderful and Andrea was excellent. Can not fault her service skills.

We visited for lste lunch on Monday 25th September we were shown to our table by friendly staff. Good was tasty and hot staff were professional and friendly. We both had stack burgers which were beautiful lovely banoffee cheesecake to follow we also had The ned rose wine again beautiful. Beth and Andrea were both lovely and very good.

The service was a little on the slow side but couldn’t fault Shannon one bit made out experience warm and welcoming and kept apologising for the slowness of the service, a lovely and friendly staff member will definitely be coming back thank you for a lovely service and gorgeous food

Came for breakfast the other morning and had a more than pleasant experience. The staff were delightful, the food arrived quickly and was delicious and the drinks were great. A particular staff member by the name of Ashley was incredibly helpful, waited on me and my family which we were thankful for. Would and will come again, five star experience.

I stayed at the nearby Premier Inn last night and had breakfast at The Bluebrick. The food was good, but what impressed me most was the friendly, courteous staff. I was served by the lovely Peps, who did everything with a smile on her face. I overheard the other diners praising her service and approachability too.

Lovely staff and the food was all very good, We all had somthing different and no complaints, free parking when you are a customer.
