My friend had never been and wanted to go there. I had been once many years ago. It is a beautiful setting. If you like golf then this is the place to be. We wanted a casual lunch so we chose the Blaney bar. First impressions of the interior was this dark and heavy interior design. I felt it was in need of a refurbishment. Dark Maganoy wood dark drapes. The Blaney bar is devoid of atmosphere The staff were pleasant which you would expect of a '5 star'establushment'. The menu was limited. I had a burger and chips. My friend a type of chicken panni. The burger was again what one might expect. Didn't like the limp lettuce which was in the burger We had two soft drinks, coffee and tea The total bill was 50.00.I think that was very expensive for what we had. My curiosity was well settled and I wouldn't want to go again. I can't give an opinion on the other facilities. In comparison to Slieve Donard, Slieve Russell or Galgorm this scored very bad. I thought the cost was prohibitive for what we got.

Shocking. To say I was disappointed with Lough Erne would be an understatement. And most of our grievances centre on the bar restaurant. Staff generally don’t care or seem to want to help with orders or requests. We sat for 15 minutes as three staff members played in their phones. Eventually I approached the bar and asked for a drink. That order took a full 20 minutes to process. Our next three drinks were the same. Our food took over an hour to arrive and with a tired and hungry three-year-old this just wasn’t acceptable. A manager-looking kinda guy did appear but he actually seemed to make the entire service even more chaotic. When we eventually looked to square our bill up he was disinterested in our gripes and nonchalantly turned his back on us and carried on. Now, I have to say, there was a little red haired girl who was a gem - the only one in the entire debacle that was putting in a shift. If Lough Erne had any sense they’d promote her to manager. We will never be back.

Disappointing food. Wine served in a filthy glass. Complained to waitress about standard of food and was told that she would “pass the comments to the chef”, and that was it, no follow up, nothing. It seems that this bar although housed within the Lough Erne resort is under different ownership from the hotel, and if that is the case it is damaging the hotel and its reputation. Avoid

Dropped in for a drink and to check out venue for a wedding. Bar man ignored us initially Asked for a G&T and a beer. Glasses were filthy with lipstick. He changed the glass and poured the same drink into it. Found him surly and u friendly. First impressions count so won’t be back.

Dreadful service because the waiting staff went on a break between our main course and dessert so there was no one available to clear away our main course plates and take our dessert order. I know that’s hard to believe in a 5* hotel but that was the explanation I was given when I went to the bar to ask for someone to come to our table when it became obvious that we had been abandoned.

As part of my sister's 60th Birthday weekend, we visited Enniskillen and enjoyed "A Taste of Enniskillen" with Mark, which was a great experience, we would highly recommend. On Sunday morning we stopped off at the Lough Erne Resort for coffee, before going for a walk and planned to return for lunch. We had a lovely welcome. A waitress took our order, which was served by her male colleague. He brought four of the six ordered beverages, minus jug of milk for the coffees. Another waiter eventually (10 minutes interval +) served the rest of the order, bringing milk for the previously served coffee which was by then had cooled down. (The birthday girl drank hers black.) He also returned with some shortbread. The drinking chocolate was served cold as too was the cappuccino, the cappuccino was returned and replaced. Because of poor services, our much looked forward to morning outing to the beautiful 5 star Lough Erne Resort, turned into a negative disappointing event, needless to say we did not return for lunch. The standard of service did not reflect its 5 star rating. It took three staff to serve six hot beverages which were cold within a poor timeframe. There is no excuse for serving hot beverages cold.

Okay. The last time I wrote a review for the Lough Erne Resort was in 2014. The title of my review then was, 'Oh dear', so one would have hoped that after so long, my new title might be somewhat more positive. Sadly not. It's such a pity that my current comments will almost replicate what I had written that first time, as the resort has much to offer, I'm sure. But there is also much to be done to improve things, at least where dining out is concerned. During these present difficult times when people are tightening their belts, it's absolutely essential that customers receive an accurate bill, not least of all because every penny counts. Maybe it's understandable if a mistake of a pound or two is made - we're all human after all, but discrepancies of larger amounts should never be overlooked before the customer receives the bill (or bills, in our case!) My last review contained my complaint about a £25 overcharge. This time (and I'm trying to condense this explanation) we were confronted with a bill that included 2 bottles of wine at £43.80 each that we hadn't ordered, plus other food that we had not consumed during our lunch. In other words, I believe we were given the wrong bill (which we weren't given a copy of to keep) but when this was pointed out we were then told that we had a separate bill for desserts. So, 2 bills, one of which was totally wrong and no real effort to offer an apology for what would have been a huge overspend on our part. Suffice to say, we did not want to make a big fuss as we were treating our own guests to the lunch, so we paid the final bill and left. My husband followed this up with a diplomatic e-mail to the resort a few days later, and this was consequently replied to, by phone, from a lady who works there. I usually try to be as positive and honest as I can when I write these Trip Advisor reviews and I do not mean to seem complaining just for the sake of it. However, for improvements to be made (especially in the hospitality industry) they need to be pointed out. I acknowledge that staffing is a major issue at the moment for many hotels and restaurants, but if an establishment is 5 star, then staff need to be practiced in all elements of a 5 star service. The Lough Erne Resort is undoubtedly in a beautiful location and it is obviously very popular for big events such as weddings etc, but it needs to get its act together for all of its clientele, even if it's only a lunchtime meal for only 4 guests.

For a 5 star hotel this bar was managed like a run of the mill pub. Our table was dirty. Dirty cutlery was on the floor. Dirty glasses were lined up on the bar. Staff had to be asked twice to clean our table. Yet there was no shortage of staff. Not impressed.

Went in for a quick bite before heading out for the day. Shauna our waitress was incredible. Food served was amazing, highly recommend trying the daube beef steak and the chocolate brownie for dessert. Tried the cocktail of the month (lady rhuby) which I was informed was created by a member of staff. Definitely a place to visit when in the area

The haddock and chips are certainly good at dinner. The seats are comfortable and the atmosphere is nice. The dinner was better than the afternoon snack. Earlier on arrival we had a snack waiting to check in. My crumble was okay but could have done with a bit more heat as could my latte. On another day I might have sent them back for heating. My wife ordered three mixed mini muffins, but these turned out to be anything but mixed. All were chocolate and not particularly good. Similar muffins were present at the breakfast buffet the next day. Who wants to eat four chocolate muffins? A curate's egg is the verdict.

Arranged to meet a friend for morning coffee. Rang the hotel in advance to check if it was ok to come for coffee - they said yes from 11am on. When we arrived Bert the Concierge was very helpful & friendly and was able to identify our friend who was waiting for us to arrive. One person from the group went to the bar with the coffee & scone order and was told that someone would come and take our order from us. After a while and no one came Bert came over to see if we had received our coffee, when we told him no one had taken our order he said he would go himself and get someone to come to us, after another lengthy wait and still no staff in appearance Bert came back and took our order himself. It was another wait before the coffee & scones arrived. The waiter Lee made the excuse of lack of staff due to covid for reason we were ignored. He also claimed he couldnt find us even though Bert had shown us to our seats! The coffee had obviously been poured a while as it was cold and for 3 scones there was a plate with 3 little knobs of butter on it & 2 small jars of jam. On a whole an very underwhelming experience which I don't think we will repeat in any great hurry. You need more staff like Bert!!

Mixed up drinks completely wrong and had to wait 20 minutes for correct drinks to come starter arrived shortly afterwards after finishing it and drinks had to wait 15 minutes to get tablets cleared and order more drinks main was steak very dry and never received steak knife either order chips with steak had finished dinner before chips arrived paid for bill and waitress put changed into her pocket and had to ask to get changed back as she walked of then took change from her pocket and put in envolope and handed it back to me not impressed at all, TV also did not work in the room, and couple sitting beside us had also got the wrong starter didn't leave a great impression on such a quiet night and table beside us also left table because they did not receive there desert

Was a poor overall experience due to what I can only assume are new staff. The service was terrible from start to finish. Was left waiting after ordering drinks and had to call the waiting staff back to order food. Again had to call them back to order dessert after they cleared half the table but left the condiments and napkins. To then be charged £6 for the service on top of the meal made it laughable The food however was first class as always.

It's takes a special type of genius to claim to be a 5 STAR Resort and then employ feckless untrained clueless Wonders as Bar Staff. But the Owner of the Resort has such a Our first visit will be our last . We entered the Bar with a single table occupied at 12-30pm.There were 4 members of staff congregating and chatting on each side of the Bar Counter. We looked in their direction expecting at least one of them to acknowledge us and offer a welcome. We were totally ignored; their facile chit-chat obviously too engaging and important to prioritise service. We sat and waited.. Eventually one of their number approached.. No smile no welcome to the Blaney Bar.. Just an abrupt... DO YOU WANT FOOD? Rather deflated by a response that we simply wanted a Drink for the moment.. He departed.. We felt puzzled.. After a he while returned there had been an hiatus on the chity-chatt. He took our order with all the warmth and hospitality of a Prison Guard. He then returned with a teapot.. It looked as though the Kitchen staff had previously used it to kick around the kitchen for fun.. It was dented and scared and was over-filled. He promptly spilt part of its scalding contents over the table through careless inattention. He muffled some sort of apology failing to acknowledge that my partner narrowly missed a scalding. He returned with filthy blue cloth..it was sodden before he applied it the tabletop.. It simply smeared the liquid across a wider portion of the table.. I thought he would return with a dry cloth to dry off the table.. No apparently enlarging the area of spillage was his purpose.. I was shocked when he returned with my Sparkling water... And made no effort to dry the table.. We had driven from Belfast to visit the resort and wondered how this could pass as 3 Star never mind 5! After that we were ignored as the craic between the staff was mighty alright..The charge (and of course the service charge is automatically included which one reason why the staff don't care a damn) was excessive.. If you are thinking about a day trip to the resort forget it.. It's not worth the effort and the expense adds insult to injury.. London prices for backstreet "service". AVOID.

Food was very poor ordered cod & chips the fish arrived burnt to a crisp , my partner ordered the burger and chips ..both of us agreed all was bland and tasteless. Service is extremely slow and staff are just ignoring customers we had to ask for everything.

Had dinner last night. Beautiful room. Ordered speciality dish, pulled pork and chicken sliders. Partner ordered the burger. The chips arrived piping hot but the pork and chicken in the slider buns were COLD... I brought this to the attention of the waitress who apologised and took them back to the kitchen. Eventually I got my order and once again the chips were piping hot but meat COLD..Could not understand how they could not heat this dish. The food was not great, no flavour. The chips were good but we're skinny frozen fries so you can't really get them wrong. My partner was equally unimpressed with the burger. Wouldn't eat here again.

El Blaney Bar está situado en el edificio principal de este resort 5 * - con vistas a la hermosa Lough río Erne. Tuvimos una comida estupenda, la comida era muy buena y el servicio era amable y rápido. Nos pareció muy buena relación calidad-precio para un hotel 5 estrellas. Había un gran número de familias con niños pequeños, y parecía ser recibidos por el personal. Hay 2 restaurantes en el complejo, pero eran más formal y caro. Este lugar fue perfecto para un buen almuerzo.

Llamamos al Blaney Bar para tomar una copa y un aperitivo mientras se alojan en el complejo. El servicio en el bar era muy pobre. Hay un montón de personal caminando todo el año (en círculos) pero no notarque todavía teníamos que pedir. Cuando pedimos el tío (un traje ? Gerente??) muy con confianza tomó nuestra orden en su cabeza, luego se me olvidó cosas ... y luego me trajeron cosas no pedimos.

Visité aquí la noche pasada con un grupo de amigos para una noche de Navidad. Habíamos reservado en principio el Loughside Bar & Grill pero estaba cerrado esa noche así que aparece al Blaney Bar. Como forma de disculpa nos ofrecieron una ronda de bebidas de cortesía. Al principio estábamos sentados en la zona con las cómodas sillas y sofás pero nos cambiaron a una mesa más adecuada cuando nos dijo que no podríamos comer en esa zona, ya que la mesa era demasiado bajo.

metimos en para comer un bocado. El hombre que tendían a nosotros fue muy educado. El menú era bastante limitada. De todas maneras, nuestras opciones y llegamos en buen tiempo. no llevaría mucho para llenar conmigo, pero las porciones son muy pequeñas. En general me esperaba algo más y me especialmente no esperar a ver la camarera del restaurante parado en el bar frotamientos bastante en su nariz, luego utilizando el mismo tanto para abrir 2 botellas de agua para los huéspedes en el restaurante. Gracias a Dios que ella no estaba sirviendo nosotros!

Had high expectations of the grazing menu here, however I was very disappointed with the standard of the food.- I have had several variations of slow cooked beef, however this one is the worst yet. I appreciate that there is a high fat content in slow-cooked short rib, however this was 80% fat with very little meat. What little meat there was tasted pretty good, but not a good dish.- I also had the parfait, again I have had much better parfait elsewhere including Teddy's in Bangor, and the best one yet - Sollun, in Nerja, Spain.- The fishcake was also very average.Loved the location, and the overall resort, but this menu and content was very disappointing. I will however try Catalina Restaurant the next time I visit the hotel.

It took 3 hours to serve 3 courses and ruined a special dinner. Looking back at the reviews it seems this was not a one off. The idea that this place is a five star resort is a complete joke.

So disappointed, this used to be a top rate restaurant , we've been going for years and had gone there about a month ago too. We thought then it was not up to its usual standard but thought maybe that was a once off . The food today though was poor, eg barely lukewarm - a side order of potato Normandy came in a tiny square, tasteless and not at all freshly cooked. Funny blueness throughout...I would guess reheated potatoes cooked and frozen and defrosted maybe might be the cause of that. It used to come piping hot in an oval dish and delish. The pizza was just OK...they used to be standout tasty. And the prices !!! Wow!! ...really crazy. Last weekend we both had really good full lunches, with oodles of veg , wine, and coffee in a very well known hotel for much less than 2/3 of what we paid today . Lots of young staff but customers were scarce. We really hope it gets back to serving good food at reasonable prices. We miss it.
