The Blackstock Kitchen in Islington

Un amigo y yo nos topamos con este lugar en busca de café después de visitar algunas librerías con nuestros hijos en Blackstock Road. Los pasteles en la ventana nos atrajo, había brownies, galletas y pastel de zanahoria que parecía hermoso, fresco y casero. Nos dieron la bienvenida, nos sentamos en el patio soleado y disfrutamos de delicioso café caliente y algunas de las magníficas opciones de pasteles, ya estoy deseando volver a probar las tentadoras opciones de almuerzo. Maravilloso servicio atento y un ambiente tan relajante.

Though I came in on business, and not to eat too much, I was delighted when my taste buds engulfed on the amazing victoria sponge cake made by the chef. It was lush, scrumptious and everything in between. My first and surely NOT MY LAST VISIT! 10/10 for service 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for quality 11/10 for food!

Good food and good coffee and great excellent service and well polite staff and great sense of humour

Amazing food and cakes, friendly owner and staff, make you feel at home, very kid friendly too. Will be back for sure

Trabajo a la vuelta de la esquina de este lugar, así que he probado prácticamente en todas partes a poca distancia. Debo decir que Blackstock Kitchen es el lugar que más he visitado y sería mi mejor opción del lote. Los sándwiches y los wraps son geniales: mi favorito es el wrap de falafel, pero algunos colegas tienen su propio favorito. Cuando haya encontrado el suyo, querrá volver a buscarlo. El encantador y amable propietario que prepara diferentes platos frescos todos los días, pone gran entusiasmo y amor en todo lo que hace: sopas, pasteles, pan lo convierten en un gran lugar al que volver.

My first trip outside after lockdown was here and it was incredible - the fresh food is lovely, and their coffee is expertly made. Everything has a hand crafted feel and the place was full of friendly vibes. 10/10 would go again.

A very quaint little cafe with charming service and freshly prepared quality food. Had the best club sandwich we ever had in a nice little sun trap garden out the back. Highly recommended.

Have enjoyed this place for a long time, it has a really nice, friendly vibe and the courtyard in the back is a great place to sit. The sandwiches and cakes are great as well, although I’ve only ever had the club which is probably one of my favourite sandwiches anywhere. You can see them making a lot of stuff from scratch in the kitchen and there are always different things. A real hidden gem

Had nice flat white in garden with some friends whilst enjoying the sunshine. The staff were helpful and friendly - coffee nice (and hot) too.

I’ve found this place a while ago when I started studying my masters. With a very limited budget I was looking for a place where you could feel welcomed and part of the community. The blackstock kitchen does not only offer that but superb quality coffee and food at a cheap price. Everything they use is locally sourced and staff will always treat you nice.

Spend far too much time in this lovely unassuming cafe/restaurant. The soup (like everything) is freshly made each day and is delicious. Owned by the charming Rohan (probably wrong spelling) who so obviously cares about the food he produces. The freshly baked cakes are very tempting and the garden is lovely when it's warm.

Just happened to be walking past at lunchtime looking for a quick bite. Ordered a BLT with Chilli Jam, toasted. very good sandwich and a good price. will be going back when in the area again.

This is a fantastic local cafe, really great sandwiches, perfect for lunch. The cakes are all homemade and delicious, I especially love the brownies and the oreo cake and my kids love the rocky road.

If yo want to meet the locals this is the place to go...It gives you the feel of the area...Arsenal fan or not. ( I went to Uni locally---not a sporty person) there are always concerts going on...You can hear it from the cafe.....i remember hearing the Bruce Springsteen one from here....you a student...do it htis way

Cakes are to die for !! and all homemade. Great food and friendly staff. Proper sandwiches and fresh homemade soup.
