Never Again Very slow service and the ribs were only slightly warm and very chewy. Horrible and felt ripped off

We booked as a family group of 6 persons one Friday evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu was varied and when our food arrived there were large portions with beautifully cooked chips. Great service from the young staff and a very attentive and friendly manager made for a really good evening for us all. I can't understand some of the negative reviews on here but we certainly could not fault it in any way. Great music too! We will be back when next in the area.

Went to the Black Valais in Wesham today for a Sunday Dinner. Booked a table for 8 (4 adults and 4 kids (3,4,5&6) people at 17:00 and arrived on time. Drinks order taken at 17:15, last drink arrived at 17:35. At 17:55 waiter came over to inform us that there were no Sunday Dinners left and they still weren’t ready to take our order! Safe to say we left and won’t be returning, kids are good but their patience only lasts so long!! The guy serving had no apologies and when challenged all he could say was that it wasn’t his fault or his problem! Laughable really when he was supposed to be in charge. Maybe an apology that you left people waiting for almost an hour without taking an order! Don’t take a booking if you can’t take the orders within an hour of arriving! Appalling service!

Waited an hour for food, food was ok in that it was edible but the beef on the Sunday dinner was tough, and not much gravy, the build your own burger had a tiny burger on the bun. Felt ripped off.

We went to visit this pub on the way back from the beach on Sunday and absolutely loved it! Food was fantastic and the staff letting us feed the Larmas was really special, in fact the staff totally made the evening for us. I would 1000% recommend stopping her for a spot of lunch x
