Lovely quirky cafe. Lovely friendly staff. Really great coffee! Good choice of food options.

Great find after a bracing walk. Can recommend the mushy peas as a side order. Friendly and helpful staff. Great value food, will definitely be back on our next visit to Blackpool.

Went today no longer dog friendly and only cash. Food was good but staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there and were unhelpful. Such a shame

DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!!!!! The most awful experience I ever had!!!!! I was sick after having fish and chips and I couldn't eat anything for 2 days, afterwards.

What a nice idea to have a café in a converted railway carriage! Came here mainly out of curiosity, and enjoyed a really satisfying lunch! Located between the promenade gardens and the beach, close to Pleasure Island and the pier, it's actually a carriage connected internally to a brick "station" building behind it. There's a takeaway and ice-cream kiosk, and a shop selling beach tackle, toys and gifts next door. The café itself is clean and comfy, with old photos of local scenes on the walls. There are toilet facilities, and outside seating both in front of the carriage and on a terrace at the back. The lady who took my order was welcoming, helpful and friendly, and I was served quickly. The menu was fairly basic - breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and simple cooked lunches, plus a children's menu. You can get speciality teas, coffee and soft drinks here. Had the scampi with chips and mushy peas. It was well cooked and piping hot, and the chips were really good! Nice refreshing mug of tea (they don't do tea in pots). Altogether the meal cost just £8.95 (cash only). I considered that excellent value for money! Would happily come again!

No longer dog friendly!!! 😢 planned to go here and turned up for brunch but dog was refused! We were told one bad owner spoiled it by letting their dog run loose in the cafe so NO dogs are allowed now! 😣 Very disappointed 😞 but we went over to the pier cafe instead who welcomed us all.

Called in today for late dinner,we all had the specials winter breakfast deal, £5 with a drink inc for 4 people & a kids sausage &chips. Well worth the visit after a walk along the beach with kids. 😊

We only ordered for portions of chips but they were the best that I can remember eating! Inside the cafe was spotless, the smell of food cooking was divine. Our chips were prepared fresh and not just left sat in oil. Service was so polite and kind too. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here on Sunday. Lovely staff, and lovely veggie/ vegan breakfasts. Clean and tidy and a novel cafe experience to eat in a converted railway carriage. Would return. 👍

Clean and nice concept! Food was standard cafe food as to be expected. However we weren't made to feel welcome, we felt like a bit of an inconvenience for them which was bit of a shame.

Terrible service my order was not listened to despite repeating it 3 times. Over priced and poor food. I had a really bad tummy bug after eating here.

This cafe is so quirky and in a lovely location close to the beach. The food was outstanding and the staff were friendly and approachable. Deffinatley a cafe worth visiting.

Nice idea, a cafe in a railway carriage, close to the promenade and pier. Sign says open all year. Basic menu & food. I have no complaints about my lunch. The food was served quickly and the staff were nice. The prices were the top end of what I would expect to pay for my lunch. Worth a visit to may your own decision.

Absolutely fantastic, staff couldn't do enough, mother in law has parkinsons and the lady serving was so helpful, got her a tea towel so she didn't get her food down for her, food was quick and hot.

Unfortunately they weren't serving part of the menu due to being busy, although it was only about a third capacity and no queue. We chose alternative options and half way through us ordering, (at the till) she wandered into the back?? A 2nd girl pointed to a ticket on the tray. That was our number and would be called out when our meal was ready. We told her we hadn't finished ordering yet but the girl had disappeared. Her response was 'is that everything'?? When the food arrived it wasn't too bad. It was freshly cooked and hot. Oh and take cash they do not accept card.

It is clean, friendly staff, good food, good value, and dog friendly.

Food wasn't hot, just warm, parts of the meal were missing but nice atmosphere and fast service.

The staff r very young and not helpful! Not very formative had hot chocolate it was very powdery not mixed enough and the cakes were dry and horrible when we told the staff they just shrugged there shoulders and walked away!! The need more training and older staff there won't go again 😥

Doesn't accept cards cash only on a busy seaside resort no cash machine close by so make sure you carry cash with you to the beach

Only ordered 2 portions of chips and payed,nothing for 15 minutes,asked at counter what was happening only to be told no chips had been ordered,this was while owner or manager was sat outside eating fish and chips 😂😂,don't bother going here

This establishment has SERIOUSLY GONE TO THE DOGS, it used to serve some Fantastic food, not anymore, not worth the money, staff are absolutely useless, they're kids still at school or college. Cheaper and better food available at Wetherspoons

We have been visiting the cafe on a regular basis as it is very dog friendly. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food has always been good.

Aweful service, we waited an hour before finally giving up and asking for a refund as our two year old son was getting bored and hungry. When i asked for a refund I was spoken to buy a very rude lady who told me it was bank holiday and they were busy and I couldn't have my money back and the food was on the way. In three end she relented as customers were leaving. She told her staff that they should be telling people it was an hour wait (for beans on toast). Add to this the fact that don't take cards and the lacklustre interior I would not recommend. Zero stars would be a better description.

A railway carriage converted into a cafe, a bit of a novelty to stop for a cuppa or a bite to eat.

Excellent value for money. Ordered the big breakfast and was not disappointed. Very clean little quirky cafe. Definitely recommend.

On our holidays with our 3 tiny dogs and we called in the carriage cafe for fish and chips. It was lovely. Very clean, very friendly and the food was delicious. Love the fact we had a dog friendly table away in a quiet part of the cafe. Brilliant experience would definitely recommend a visit. X

Great fish and chips. Very friendly cheerful staff. Kids loved it. Great idea to convert a train carriage into a café. There are other cafés in the area - really glad we chose this one.

Bit grotty for such a novel site. Could do with a coat of paint and a tidy up outside as well as inside. Food OK but nothing special. Better places close by.

On a cold January trip to the beach the carriages cafe is a warm and friendly place for a hot drink and some comforting hearty food. There is a good selection of drinks and traditional meals available in a quirky setting inside an old train carriage. The staff and owner are extremely welcoming. We have been here before and it will be high on our list whem we return to St. Anne's.
