Fantastic pub, great range of beers and spirits. First visit but the landlord and landlady were very welcoming and plenty of friendly locals. One of the nicest beer gardens I've seen as well. Brilliant afternoon and already looking forward to my next visit

Can't recommend this service enough! Telephoned our order, arrived to collect, paid the very reasonable price and the gentleman carried our (well contained and hot) lunch to our car. Once home we enjoyed a filling, well presented and scrumptious beef roast and veg/yorkies/gravy. Thank you Black Horse staff , we will definitely be calling again.

Had a couple of decent pints after a hard day's work. Blonde lady serving me tonight was absolutely lovely and welcoming to boot. Used to be my local but the old bloke who had it ran it into the ground. Nice to see the new management turning it round. Will definitely be back!

Just had a delivery from jamun tree chicken tika masala am sorry to say it's the worst take away I have ever had it was like red gravy with chunks of chicken in the meal for 2 of us was almost £43 a complete waste of money

Ordered a takeaway from here this evening on my son's recommendation, as he is a more regular customer. Between four of us we had Mixed starter for two, King Prawn Fried Rice, Vegetable Curry, Sweet & Sour, Chow Mein and Chips. All of the food was delicious. Well cooked, freshly prepared and tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient. Due to the location this takeaway doesn't get the recognition it deserves and not many people know this takeaway is in this location. If I were to say anything about the place, it would be that the waiting area had no heating and being winter, it is COLD ! The second is that there is no debit card machine. It is CASH ONLY or there is an option to pay by BANK TRANSFER before leaving with your order. I would order from here again and RECOMMEND to others to give them a try.

We visited the Birkacre Garden Centre Restaurant for a full English breakfast, expecting hearty food to match the cosy surroundings. What we got instead was... let’s just say “unique.” Let’s start with the baked beans. Cold. Not lukewarm, not room temperature—cold. The chef’s attempt at gourmet fridge-to-table dining, perhaps? And while we’re on the topic of missing the mark, the breakfast itself seemed to be playing hide-and-seek with some of the advertised items from the menu. Was it sausage roulette day, or had my toast just gone on strike? The waiting staff were friendly enough, but there was a noticeable lack of initiative when it came to drinks. A simple “Would you like another coffee?” might have gone a long way. Instead, we sat with dry throats and growing doubts about whether anyone actually wanted us to enjoy the experience. On the plus side, the garden centre itself is lovely, so you could probably console yourself with a plant or two after your disappointing breakfast. Just don’t expect the food to fuel your green-fingered adventures. Will we be back? Not for the breakfast, unless the chef and the beans can reach a truce.
