Visited on Sunday evening and whilst I was waiting for my family I ordered a drink and the goats cheese garlic bread. It was, by far, the best garlic bread I have ever eaten!!! They are quick, clean and very friendly. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis :)

Fuimos allí para la cena de cumpleaños de mi hijo. ¿Comí espagueti? no había mucho sabor y fue decepcionante para ser sincero. mis hijos comieron pizza y me dijeron que estaba bien, también estuvimos esperando un rato antes de que vinieran a tomar nuestro pedido, no estaba ocupado.

Great little place on the Kingsland Rd. Large menu of starters, pizza, pasta, salads and wraps with a good drinks list. Pizzas were excellent and reasonable ( cheaper at lunchtime too!) and service was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit for an informal lunch or supper.

Visited prior to an evening at the Arcola Theatre a few steps away. This is a small cafe/restaurant with a limited and simple menu but on the basis of this visit definitely worth seeking out. A sharing starter of antipasto was fresh and tasty. Lasagne was well made and fresh. Spaghetti carbonara was well cooked perhaps just a little lacking in flavour. Excellent tiramisu was one of the best. All washed down with a fruity Primitivo from their excellent list. Very friendly and efficient service throughout. We will return.

We popped in for a late dinner. We ordered some drinks, two salads to start, and two pizzas. My caprese salad (see picture) was incredible. The pizzas and coffee were of a very high and tasty standard. I would recommend this eatery in a heartbeat!

You know when you walk in somewhere and made to feel special? You can tell it's family owned, the decor was quirky and cool. Amazing prices, the food came quick and was really yummy. The staff were so friendly and kind. Gluten free pasta!!!

Found this spot on tripadvisor needing a place to eat before going to the Vortex jazz club. An unpretentious place serving the usual favourites but at very reasonable prices. Quick service too. The vegetarian antipasti starter was delicious. Generous portions too.

The waitress was very friendly and the service was good. The risotto was over cooked and tasted bland. The pepperoni pizza was nice but you had to eat with cutlery as too sloppy. Prices quite high for what you got and not the best area.

We were here before heading to Earth Hackney. On a cold evening, this was a warm, cosy and friendly restaurant. We had two pizzas which I will have to say were delicious. The bases were firm and crispy and the toppings were very fresh and very tasty. Couldn’t fault them if I was honest. Lots of choice for vegetarians as well. For two pizzas and 3 glasses of red wine, we paid £33. If you’re in the market for a decent pizza in Hackney, definitely give this place a go. I’d go again.

The pizza I had was first rate, beautifully cooked and with generous toppings. The service was excellent and the whole meal was very good value. My only slight issue was that my tea came with hot milk, however this was quickly rectified.

Turned up without booking but there was a table. Not a large restaurant but not cramped, good choice even for veggies (it took me a minute to spot the meat). An appropriate selection of wines. All together a nice meal

Fab find, returned today for 3rd visit with 87 year old mum , daughter and hubby, catered for all of us, including my veggie requests. Fresh food, fab pizza, very friendly staff, highly recommended if in the area.

How can you make bad pizza in 2018?

Pedimos una pizza para llevar desde aquí y algunas cosas estaban bien, la comida estaba caliente cuando llegó aquí y son generosos con sus coberturas. Pero por desgracia la pizza y pan de ajo que pedimos eran absolutamente insípido y extrañamente muy aguada. Una pena pero no le pedir desde aquí, nunca tuvimos una pizza que antes era tan insípido!

Had two decent sized meals - pizza and spaghetti bolognese - for a total of £11. Tasted great too. Will definitely go back.

We shared a pasta and pizza, between the two of us, both of which were very tasty. The decor is basic and unassuming. This place is more a cafe/simple bistro rather than a restaurant. There's a comprehensive menu that includes everyone's favourite Italian dishes. Prices are reasonable (albeit some dishes are more expensive in the evening than lunchtime) and portion sizes are generous. Ideally situated with less than a 5 minute walk to/from the Arcola Theatre but not somewhere to spend an entire evening. I would definitely go back, next time I go to the Arcola.

Me and the girls come here every month and it never fails to impress. The food is incredible, the portion sizes are huge and the staff are so incredibly friendly! Would highly recommend!

This was one of the best pizzas I have had anywhere - really not what I expected at Dalston Junction but a great surprise. If I stay in the area again I will definitely be visiting The Bite agai.

Absolutely amazing food! Always fresh and remarkable taste. Pre-booked online for 6 people and tried variety dishes at a very decent price. Our favourite was 'diva' pizza and prouschetta as starter.The restaurant has a very good vibe even when busy. We cant wait to go again. Must try the unique tramisu desert, different to any other ones we had previosuly.

Better pizzas than in Italy! Crispy base - not limp and damp. Fabulous Turkish Cypriot beef sausage on pizza. Amazing Tiramisu. Great value at 5.99 lunch. Lovely people too!!

We went to the Bite as we were in the Dalston area looking for a good Italian restaurant. The place has got a relaxed atmosphere, with its own identity. The food is gorgeous, with plenty of pizza options as well as pasta and rissotto. The everyday offer of pizza/pasta for £6.50 is amazing value given the size and the quality of the pizza (13 inches!). Highly recommended.

We were staying just round the corner from here and didn't know it was there until our last day ! Wanted to eat before travelling home and found it. What a lucky find. Small but very clean and homely place. Food was amazing!! Girl serving was lovely, friendly and helpful. If you are in the area please call in, you will not be disappointed!!

They claim to serve original italian napolitan pizza, which it's not true.The pizza quality is less than the average pizzas that I tried in London, the tomato is too watery, and the ingredients used, which they says are super fresh and good, are tasteless.The place is quite warm and nice, but the food could be better.

We went here for lunch as we were in the area for the Geffrye Museum. There is a good choice of pasta, pizza, risotto and other Italian dishes at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Would go again and recommend.

The food here was excellent, my husband and I came here this evening and the garlic bread/pizzas were very crisp. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the four cheese pizza had blue cheese on it (I'd seen a picture on a review that didn't show any blue cheese so I didn't check) so I didn't particularly enjoy my pizza but that was my fault, my husband's pizza (the italiano) and the garlic bread were absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend, great value for your money and they were more than happy to give us our leftovers in a takeway container.

Visited on Wednesday evening after having a hectic day sightseeing in the city. We sat at the front of the restaurant at a table, that unfortunately, let a cold draft of air onto us every time the door opened - and this was often as it was busy (mostly with takeaway orders). The meals were good and only downside was that there is no child's menu so as our youngest is 9 there was no way he was going to finish the portion of Spaghetti Bolognese. My partner questioned this to see if we could have a child's portion? The lady who served us advised that she could provide a smaller portion but it would be at the same price as the adult; but she could provide a doggy-bag for the residue. Not ideal or wanted as we were staying in a Premier Inn around the corner and just wanted a value for money option.

Staff were so so lovely and showed genuine interest and care for the entire party. Food was amazing, couldn't fault any of it. Great value for money and overall a lovely dining experience for our group of 5.

Have eaten here many time, take away and in, pizza or pasta - all I had was very nice. There is a TA lunch deal - a fantastic offer for 5£. Food comes out quickly, place itself is warm & cozy, perfectly located on main road.

Returned here twice this week to eat before seeing plays at the nearby Arcola Theatre. The pizzas are brilliant as is the Spaghetti Carbonara which I tried for the first time. Very good and friendly service. The olives and cheese went down well as we decided on our main food. Good wine menu and reasonably priced Chianti was very smooth. The efficiency of the waitress ensured we had plenty of time to stroll across to the theatre and The Bite continues to be our 'must go to' restuarnt when in Dalston. Never fails in its high standard of food and service.

A welcoming, friendly restaurant/takeaway near Dalston Kingsland that we keep coming back to time and time again. Fully licensed, we ordered a bottle of red wine, a lovely Italian Primitivo at a most reasonable £18.90. A jug of free iced tap water was served with the wine. My partner and I ordered the mixed antipasto for two for a total of £6.95. Tremendous value for a great plate of charcuterie, cheese, rocket and bread. For our main course, we enjoyed a bottle of Montepulciano Italian red for £16.45 that went well with my partner's Spaghetti Carbonara (£7.45) and my Pizza Piccante (£8.45). Both excellent. They were served with extra Parmesan and chilli oil. Our bill came to a reasonable £58.20. Service charge is not included. We left a tip of £5 in cash and it was much appreciated. Good WiFi

Great value, especially during lunchtime. They offer a £4.95 deal for pizzas, pastas and wraps. We often order here from our workplace which is just around the corner.

This place does really delicious pizza and wraps, which are very big and can easily be shared between two. Very good value for money and lovely little atmospheric restaurant. They're also on Deliveroo.

The place was full and the service was ok although they brought the starters after the mains. The bruschetta was disappointing, looked like cheese on toast. I ordered tagliatelle. The shrimp and courgettes were undercooked with cream on top and taste less. My friends ordered lasagna and baked pasta and was a little better. At least it wasn't expensive.

Had this pizza first time today. I'm happy to see an abundance of toppings unlike most other pizza places I've tried in east London. Well done on giving us a fantastic meal tonight! Will definitely recommend!

Went with my daughter for lunch as they have an interesting lunch deal ( half price pizza and pasta). Had a delicious spinach, ricotta and mozzarella calzone, my daughter had the spaghetti bolognese. The ortions were generous and the quality was excellent. Friendly staff and interesting retro/ modern decor. Will def go back.

The truth is that I am italian and I am a pizza lover. So, I have tried many pizzeria all around London (some of them are quite good) but this one is really really good (and cheap, especially at lunchtime). There is a good variety of choice and staff is friendly.Don't miss it, you will surely enjoy it!

I went to this 'Italian' restaurant with a friend for lunch on a weekday, and deeply regretted it.The pizza I ordered, although cheap, was watery and the base was totally ruined. The toppings with the cheese slided off the crust every time I was putting it in my mouth. I have to say it was one of the worst pizzas I've had in London. The price was not too bad given it is located in London, which from what I recall was not too expensive. However, I definitely would not return for the standard of food I had.

Friendly staff, easy relaxed dining and a great choice of pizzas and sides. Haven't tried the pasta but it looked good! Easy to walk in when passing by and grab a table. They often have lunch offers but I haven't tried these.

Take no notice of the poor review above. I've visited several times and I can't fault this place. The pizzas are always excellent and the garlic bread is AMAZING. My girlfriend had the lasagne last time out and it's one of the best I've had. The £5 lunch menu is ridiculously good value. Lovely little gem and cheap eat for Dalston.

Ordered for delivery and the food came in less than 20 minutes. Pizza was raw and greasy and inedible. Pasta was overcooked and more like baby food. Save your money and order from somewhere else.

Pizza is delicious and unique. The menu is really reasonably priced and half off before 5 pm which makes it really cheap. Staff is very friendly. They could use a better drink selection but great for a date or adhoc dinner out.

Very kind staff, great food and delightful atmosphere! The food was authentic and of good quality. The seats are comfortable with candle lit tables and you are not rushed out with the standard-two-hour-seating-time that many London restaurants abide by. A perfect example of what a restaurant should be!

Popped in on a quiet Monday. Staff were very attentive and despite being quite the small place still had a lovely atmosphere. The food (pizza, salad and bread) was absolutely lovely and all for under £25 for two. One of the best places in London - I would go back tomorrow.

I had some time to kill and decided to pop into this restaurant for a pizza, and I am glad I did. I ordered a Veg one which was very good. The garlic bread was well worth the price, great value. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I will return if I am in this neck of the woods again.

We got in "accidentally" and we didn't regret. Did not plan to eat but we saw some discounts, we gave it a go. The pizza pasta and the toppings as well was perfect. The service was the best I have seen in London. Plus the bathroom, I have never seen so neat and clean toilette in public restaurant. So all together, food, service, environment, I can not pick on anything.

During a three night stay in Dalston, my Fiance and I ate at this lovely little restaurant four times. The food is delicious, plentiful, extremely well priced, and served by very friendly staff! What more could I ask for?I can honestly say that I had the best lasagna there that I've ever tasted, the pizza was fantastic, and the spaghetti carbonara was an absolute delight. The house white was great too! Sadly that's all I had chance to try, on this trip, but I am certain we will be back there if we ever stay in Dalston again.

Vissuto a dalston per tanto tempo ma non avevo mai capito che il The bite era un ristorante italiano e quando lo scoperto ho cominciato a andarci spesso anche solo a pranzo scoprendo che la gestione non è italiana ma curda e scoprendo con molto piacere che sono delle persone squisite che provano con buon successo a proporre prodotti italiani..il pranzo una pizza a 5 pound molto buona una focaccetta salata al punto giusto croccante fuori e morbida dentro una birra italiana con 10/15 pounds mangi bene in un bell ambiente. Super consigliato.

This place is excellent value for money. The pizza is a lovely thin crust, sauce is amazing and they do not scrimp on the toppings! Way more toppings than somewhere like Franco Manco. If you are visiting East London, this place is a must if you want to have a pizza in a chilled out atmosphere. They also discount take away orders 15% - DEAL! :o)

From the outside, this quiet, small looking restaurant is very understated, but step through the door and your greeted by a gentle, warm hit of Italian flavours in what must be no more than a 30 cover restaurant. The menu is small, but with reason - everything is packed full of fresh ingredients and there is something for everyone. Defaulting to the pizza section - we had 'The Bite' and 'Fercito Calzone' - both were delicious! And then there is the price and service that are not to be rivalled by anything similar nearby. A new favourite of ours and will be visiting again soon.

Found this litle gem of an Italian restaurant while searching for something to eat before going to the nearby Arcola Theatre. Friendly welcome and a varied menu. Food served quickly and everything we had was great. Single portion of Garlic bread with cheese was big enough for two. Great Risotto and a pasta dish. Excellent house red and white wine. Terrific value for money. Will be returning when next in the area and Dalston is lucky to have this restaurant on its doorstep. Deserves full support from locals and visitors as they are doing a great job serving quality Italian food, quickly and at a very reasonable price.

I've been visiting this place for the past year whenever I get carb pangs, and it's comfort food at its best. I'm no expert on Italian but the generous antipasti platter and the fresh tomato bruschetta are my two fave starters. While the pasta is nice enough, it's the pizza that is the real magnet for me here, esp the margarita and the spicy sausagey one. Friendly staff and brisk service, and I dont mind paying extra for good food but the prices here are pretty good value for money for the massive amount of food you get. So much better than generic Italian chains like Pizza Express or Jamie's.

Number one sin of Italian cooking: the pasta should not be over cooked. The house red was just awful.The food was really cheap. I guess you get what you paid for.

Not just because has the appearance of a pizza you can necessarily call it pizza.Probably one of the worst pizza we have ever had in London.The dough was absolutely chewy, the tomato sauce was raw, mozzarella just like plastic....On top of that, we spotted that the kitchen was very dirty.At least is cheap! What do you expect?Stay away from this place.

The pizzas here are outstanding. The food menu is extensive, creative, and affordable. The staff are extremely friendly, and the wine is very good quality. Starters, main courses, 3 bottles of wine and an incredible chocolate calzone for desert was less than £25 per head. You have to try this place.

Raw tomato sauce on pizzas? Food was soggy and very bland and almost inedible. Not authentic Italian cuisine by a long stretch. Absolute dreadful. And adding a pound for each card used per transaction is shameful in today's industry. Only saving grace was the bill at ten pound per head.Please have your chefs trained by an Italian at least!

We found this small restaurant when we stayed in Dalston, and visited it twice. The reataurant has a friendly staff and food at reasonable prices. We can really recommend their pizzas. We also tried pasta, but pizza seems to be the best choice at this place. We selected a bottle of primotivo wine from the meny, which was really good and great value for the price.

Cosy little place and generous topping. Quite authentic, mix between classic Roman and Neapolitan pizza. Staff is quite nice and friendly too :)

Went there for lunch after visit a friend in Hackney, London. I think its the best pizza I have ever eat in London. Their pizza base are made at the restaurant by very skilled italian pizza chef. The place highly recommended.
