Stayed here for 2 nights - what a gem of a booza !! Lovely old coach inn - loads of character and incredibly busy over both Friday and Saturday - bedroom was clean and welcoming !! Evening meal on first night was outstanding !! Breakfasts were also lovely - landlady, family and team were great and made the experience overall fantastic !! Definitely worth a visit.

Dined in the restaurant for Sunday lunch with friends. Three of us had the roast beef. The beef was delicious, very tender, the vegetable were really good. The vegetarian meal was good. Delicious desserts. Would definitely recommend.

Rather disappointing. Food was ok, but not as nice as it sounded on the menu. Huge portions though. We wanted a bottle of white wine with our meal, and there was a choice of only two types!

Caring service who were rushing around but gave everyone their full attention. Food was so lovely we're going back for second helpings. Well done to all concerned. We'll be back!

Booked for one night, had a few drinks Saturday and turned in, I thought we may hear the bar noise but not a peep. Good size room and nice and clean, soap and shower soaps/jell provided. Breakfast on Sunday was great, it makes a change for a breakfast to be hot. It doesn't mention B&B but its in with the price of the room. Would recommend and would stay again.

Lovely staff and atmosphere, old coaching inn with parking round the back in what used o be a cobbled stable yard. All the food is freshly prepared and good value. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes. We had the sea bass today and it was really good. Highly recommended.

Lovely food and great service from the team. Nice to be back out. Some nice changes on the menu but glad the ham hock is still on. Will be visiting again soon.

We stayed here last night while attending a wedding at Berkeley Castle. The whole pub/ hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean/ inviting. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Tracy (the manager) is a lovely lady, who took very good care of us, and made us a delicious cooked breakfast, even frying an extra egg for my little boy who dropped his on the floor 🤦🏻‍♀️. There were a variety of lighter breakfast options which the children also enjoyed. Highly recommended.

My Birthday with my family was great from start to finish, We thought as the rest of the bar and rooms were busy the service would be poor. But no, The staff though busy were attentive to us all the time, friendly and service spot on. As for the food we were all impressed by the variety and it was hot and plenty of it. Came away well satisfied...will definitely visit again and recommend.

Me and my family had a meal there and it was one of the best dinners I had had in ages! The staff were friendly, very helpful and handled our every need right away. My parents stayed there and said it was one of the nicest places they had ever stayed in!The location is perfect with a non-busy road and local shops. Definitely recommend coming here for a family meal or to stay.

We stayed at this Hotel for 2 night, booking 6 rooms of various types. From the moment we booked we felt completely at ease that there would be no problems. Tracy the owner was just so lovely. She, and all her staff couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The first night we ate in the restaurant and the food was superb. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Top Mark's to the Lovely Tracy and her great team .

Have used this pub several times, good location and a very nice setting, friendly staff good beer nice food. What more can you ask for?

We were here for a birthday and were not disappointed. The bar was lively, and drinks were very well priced. The food was excellent! Large portions and very well cooked. We were not staying at the pub for the night so we parked on the main high street. We do not know the area so maybe there would have been better parking elsewhere. I would highly recommend this pub for a fun evening.

We stayed here for a 60th Birthday, we eat in the restaurant the night before, the food was delicious, staff very friendly and the waiter was exceptional and it was only his first night, but you wouldn't have known. TV does not have a good signal in the rooms, but they were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very filling with plenty of choice.

Very spacious. Staff welcoming and attentive. Extensive menu. Food freshly cooked and very tasty. It is possible to eat in any of the rooms. Very enjoyable evening.

Stayed here for a wedding at the castle. Really close so great place location wise. Room was to be expected for a bnb - good for one night but mattress probably needs an upgrade. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Would stay again.

Está situado en el centro de Berkeley, en un edificio histórico muy bien amueblado. Hemos estado aquí un vista veces y cada vez tenía una encantadora asado los domingos. El servicio es muy bueno y la comida obviamente recién cocinado. Recomiendo reservar ya que se llena bastante.

Nos alojamos aquí como estábamos en una boda en el castillo, principios de la boda, pero donde pudimos reservar temprano, que dejó de tener que volver, lo cual hizo las cosas fáciles. El hotel estaba limpio, la habitación que nos dieron amplia, las escaleras donde divertido volver ya que el hotel es antiguo, pero en consonancia, desayuno en la mañana era más que suficiente y muy agradable.

A pesar de no estar en los brazos de Berkeley llamamos en la oportunidad, ya que habíamos oído que estaban abiertas para el desayuno y queríamos comer en el comienzo de nuestro viaje. Llegamos justo fuera de las horas pero la casera amablemente nos ofreció una mesa y dijo que podía hacer el desayuno.

Vinimos para el sábado a la hora de la comida, el lugar parecía muy tranquilo y parecía un poco extraño tener que pasear todo el camino a través de la parte trasera para encontrar el bar y un miembro del personal. Ella nos dio con menús cuidadosamente y preguntó si nos prefiere una mesa en el restaurante. El menú del almuerzo sin embargo no tenía opciones vegetarianas pero la camarera no preparar para nosotros para elegir el menú de noche. La comida era excelente, obviamente de una cocina con un verdadero chef y los pudines fueron una delicia y una original y selección. Ah, y después de haber estado sentado un grupo grande reservada familia llegamos y el lugar de repente parecía menos sombrío. . mejor iluminación y calefacción también al menos algunas habrían tal diferencia en octubre y justificada la quinta estrella aquí!

Very nice place! Big rooms with big bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and friendly staff! Convenient location just off the high street and not too far from the M5.

Acabamos envuelto nuestra segunda estancia en el Berkeley, esta vez por 7 noches. Tracy y su personal es muy atento, muy trabajadora; y, complaciente. Los desayunos son deliciosos, y los cocineros están dispuestos a personalizar, como habíamos pedido. Tanto un servicio completo de restaurante y pub en el lugar, ofrece patrones generosas porciones para la cena y un lugar alegre para relajarse al final del día. Nuestra habitación era espaciosa; #3 tenía un enorme cuarto de baño con ducha actualizada; dos ventanas de gran tamaño; y muebles nuevos. El hotel está a poca distancia del histórico Castillo de Berkeley donde Edward 2 fue asesinado en 1327. Tiendas, supermercados y una oficina de correos cerca. Estamos ansiosos de alojarnos en el Berkeley en nuestra próxima visita a Inglaterra.

We were the only people there until our dessert course which was odd. The food however was excellent! The meat was all very well cooked and the service was good too.

Food is always good here, you know exactly what you're going to get. The staff are all nice and friendly and willing to help with anything.

Bien, fue un tiempo pero me hizo un terrible error por parte de la reserva de un pariente en la noche.

Tuvimos nuestra boda en el Castillo de Berkeley y nos alojamos una noche en su casa, pero me Blossom reservamos 6 habitaciones en el Berkeley Hotel es ideal para familias y armas mis amigos rápidamente reservado sus habitaciones restantes. Nos unimos a todos ellos para el desayuno (incluido en el precio de las habitaciones) a la mañana siguiente y todo el mundo dijo que había tenido una buena noche. Servicio amable y habitaciones limpias y confortables. El hotel sirve un desayuno para mi marido y yo gratis aunque estuvimos bastante contentos a pagar. Un gesto encantador que remató nuestra experiencia "Berkeley" muy bien. Esta es una encantadora posada, que tiene un precio muy razonable, y las habitaciones está literalmente a pocos pasos del castillo.

I visited here for a friend's birthday. The staff are very friendly and the food was very nice! My steak was cooked to perfection and very well priced! My only slight moan is that they didn't have peppercorn sauce on then menu!

The best value for money food in Berkeley. Great staff, always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

A nice meal just the 2 of us, love the menu. Not often I can't decide what to have. Service was amazing even though it was New Year's Eve, food was cooked to perfection. Could not have asked for a nicer meal, atmosphere or service.

We went to The Berkeley Arms recently for a club Christmas Dinner - so about 60 in the upstairs room. The hotel has a warm cosy atmosphere and has been nicely decorated for Christmas. However, oh dear, the food is just not up to scratch. I do not know what the normal restaurant food is like, having only visited once before (also a club dinner - unfortunately not that good either) but the Christmas dinner is rather like one of those frozen meals you get in a supermarket. Granted what turkey we had was tender - something which in itself is quite an achievement - but overall it wasn't very good. Dry stuffing ball, no pigs in blankets (sorry but I am a traditionalist) just a very cheap sausage, no bread sauce, overcooked veg (although plenty of them, carrots, parsnips - the ubiquitous grey brussel sprouts) and a couple huge roast potatoes with I am presuming, bisto (or similar) gravy and the cheapest crackers ever. The main course was all in all tasteless, reminding me of my old school dinners. The first course, I have no idea what that actually was, at first I thought soup but no spoon so clearly wasn't that, it was mushrooms in some sort of thick creamy sauce, quite nice although unable to decide if it was supposed to be hot or warm. Dessert was Xmas pud, a stodgy slice in actually nice, non lumpy custard. This was followed by tea or coffee - very disappointing to be served coffee with those horrible uht mini pots of milk; we had to ask for proper milk which to be fair they did bring. This is the 2nd time I've been here, I was hoping that this time would be better, whereas it wasn't; which was so disappointing as the actual room and atmosphere upstairs is lovely. One nice touch was they have the wine bottles with their name on it, the red was very drinkable. Overall though the food was clearly in the budget range. I have no idea where the so called "talented" chefs that is talked about on their normal menu were, they must have had the night off!

We have been to the pub a couple of times and so far just ordered off the light bite menu. This is not because we're cheap, but rather the size of the dishes are massive and with the kids eating more as they get older it satisfies all. My wife has ordered the chilli and chips both time we visited and love the deep flavour and proper chunks off beef. My last visit I went for the indian plater which was under £10's and really was tasty but I was left uncomfortably full. The service has been excellent every time we have been here and it's local so win win.

Limited menu, poor service, general can't be bothered attitude prevails in a bar full of yokels who may be used to the prevailing low standards. Not recommended, will not return

We booked in for two nights whilst attending a weeding at Berkeley Castle. Parking was easy, booking in welcoming and stayed in a large room overlooking the road. It was fairly tired décor but clean, the bed comfortable, tea and coffee supplies plentiful and lamps, TV and hairdryer worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent. A wide choice of excellently cooked and well presented food was served with friendly professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. The main drawback for me was the lack of written confirmation of our booking. We booked a room in September of 2014, checked regularly by telephone that our booking was noted, requested an email confirming this which never arrived and even got a call in late June asking if we still wanted a room as we hadn't confirmed!!

My work takes me to Berkeley and the surrounding area quite often. Recently I stumbled upon the Berkeley Arms Hotel. I stayed for three nights in a single room on the first floor. I found the staff immediately welcoming on arrival (my thanks to Alice for helping me to my room with my luggage given that I currently walk with the assistance of a stick). My single room was exactly as I expected: cozy, tidy, with a TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a more than adequate ensuite shower and loo.I ate in the restaurant for all three nights and found the food to be delicious, clearly prepared on site, and wide enough a menu for the longer term traveller.Based on my experience I will definitely return to the Berkeley arms which, in summary, offers a restful nights sleep in quiet surroundings with friendly staff and good food to boot.Thank you Tracey and Alice can see you again soon.

A group of 8 of us booked a table and sat with menus for 30 minutes trying to decide what to have. The starters come out and we all wished we had ordered what the others had! Same with the main course, so we decided to keep going back till we have all had everything off the menu.

The menu was very limited. Very basic pub food, flavourless. Not nice surroundings. The toilets weren't very clean either.

Planned to go to the Pepper pot as part of the chain I work in but so glad we decided not to. Food was fantastic, great value for money and big portions to. Staff were friendly as always, look forward to my next visit

It's not the best pub in UK, but I was served very good, prices of beer and food was alright. Food itself was...hmm...odd. I've ordered salomon and I received salomon with all possible add-ons, including salad. Salad and salmon don't work together, but hey, it could be much worst than that, I had couple nice hours in this pub!

This is a lovely location to meet friends for a chat, bar meal or meal in the restraunt.The choice of food is very nice and tastes great, with fast friendly service.The locals will make you feel welcome if you make an effort .There are a choice of bars and quite corners if you need one.

The bar has a great atmosphere, with a good selection of beers/ciders etc. There is an extensive menu with varying prices. Nice open fire in the winter. Four different bar/seating areas depending on your preferences.

a big old character pub, if anything a bit empty and lacking atmosphere.i thought back many years when the stagecoaches would stop here

Good food,good service, nice surroundings. The toilets are not very good. They need a little attention. When you are having group get togethers, it's nice not to be ask questions every few minutes. The staff are nice local people and very willing to fetch your drinks when required. Very patient when paying the bill each one separately.

We popped into the Berkeley Arms for lunch after a visit to the castle. The staff were friendly but we were very disappointed when our food arrived. We both ordered a chicken and bacon wrap and although the chicken and bacon were fine the cheese used was that artificial stuff you get in McDonalds and the chips had been refried and were slightly over-cooked. The food tasted OK so we ate it, but it could have been so much better of better ingredients had been used. Some nice local cheddar and some hand-cut chips would have greatly improved it. Also the décor is very dated and tatty and would seriously benefit from an update.

Stayed in room 12 with my 3 kids for two nights this weekend..cannot fault any aspect of the stay... only thing i was sorry about was the room was advertised to sleep 4 but actually could have slept five..so my other half missed out as we thought we were going to need two rooms (which we couldnt have afforded).... BUT ..have already decided to go back and stay later in the year!! Thankyou to all the staff! :-)

Approximately 50 people for a most enjoyable sit down meal, 8 people per table, followed by a disco in function room. Waitresses were very efficient and helpful.

We were made very welcome by staff and the food was excellent. Prices were fair and it is located very conveniently for the Castle and Dr Jenner's house

stopped here on the way home from a day out in the cotswolds and was very impresed with the food and service,both where first class.We had steak pie which was packed with with the most tender steak and the veg,chips where cooked to perfection , the pudding was just as good.I would highly recomend recomend the berkeley arms which is on the evesham road about severn miles from evesham heading towards the m5

If you are ever in Berkeley on a winters day (or night) you have to drop in here for a drink and a bite to eat. The atmosphere and the welcome is most warming as well as the fire in the hearth. Menu has some good choices and prices will warm you further.If you call in give them my best wishes.
