I’ve heard the phrase “I have found my tribe” used before but it really does apply to me. Since having children, I had struggled to stick to a gym routine until I was introduced to the Barn. It’s such a safe, friendly, fun but challenging and supportive community that Em has built up. There’s a class to suit everyone. The coaches are fantastic. I’d say just give it a go. Everything Em, Charlie & the team do is always top quality - the classes, talks, events (sports day!!), food, coffee & baristas, facilities, even the setting (where else can you watch the sun rise during an early morning class and see deer roaming?!) … it’s a real gem.

Wow what a fantastic place! It’s so different, unique and it’s really helped me to start working out!! I am now lifting weights, feeling good and it really sets me up for the day. I really LOVE the surroundings I am training in too. A gym on a farm - so fun! Watching sunrises and seeing deer on my drive in is so special and always gives me a smile.

The dreamiest! Honestly didn’t feel like we were anywhere near London. The bridleways are pleasant and serene, the onsite cafe sells delicious coffee, and the pitches are hugely capacious. Falling asleep to thunderstorms or the sounds of nearby geese, it was such an idyllic couple of days. Thank you Charlie and the team!

Drove about 15 mins to check this place out and try the coffee but found out there is zero parking if you're not using the gym. So I couldn't. I was then accosted by an incredibly angry man for reversing into his drive to turn around who then threatened me while I had a 2 year old in the car. How is there no space for a car on such an expanse of land just to grab a coffee?

Lovely setting, but sadly they do not maintain it well. Only one toilet with a working lock, only one shower with hot water. Terrible signage for finding from the farm, not enough parking spaces, wheelbarrows too small to get stuff from the carpark to the campsite, no staff or check in procedure of any kind. I imagine it was built with love, not sure why they don't look after it!

The Barn KT9 is a magical place. Since I discovered it just over a year ago, I visit several times a week without fail - whether it's learning how to lift strong with the amazing PTs in the small class setting, doing deep yin practise under the stars, or eating the scrummy food truck offerings or pastries, it has become a haven in my otherwise busy life as a working mum of two. The community I've found and friendships I've made are priceless and Em and Charlie run the entire business with saviness, kindness and forward thinking. I can't wait to visit for many years to come!

We had our wedding at The Barn back in June and it was the best day of our lives! The Barn was the first place we looked at and fell in love straight away. We had never seen anything like it and thought how cool would it be to have our wedding in a vintage plane hangar. (Marquee hired separately) Charlie and Em were so accommodating and helpful whenever we needed anything. Their communication was amazing! During setting up and packing down days they were constantly keeping us going with iced coffees! We also stayed in one of the bell tents the night of our wedding which was a little stuffy but that was only because it was the hottest day of the year but the tent and surrounding area was very clean and tidy. They also have 2 beautiful cats roaming around which as a cat lover is an added bonus! They have done an amazing job creating all this themselves. They are such hard workers and have a real passion for their businesses and I couldn’t have been happier to have our wedding anywhere else. We will definitely be back to stay in the Shepherds Hut.

Absolutely wonderful cafe, gym, camping and event space. The coffee in the cafe is probably the best I've ever had. Jaimee the barista is really friendly and helpful, they have a wide variety of alternative milks and products that are allergy free and vegan. It's always nice to walk there across Ashtead common, sit down and take in the beautiful surroundings, say hello to all the four-legged friends who visit and sometimes even watch a second world war plane land!! We have also been glamping at the farm and the kids loved waking up to the sound of bird song and running through the wild flower meadows to the rather posh outdoor showers! We've been to a couple of food events there with food too which had live music in the incredible Hangar which would be perfect for a wedding. I was excited to hear from Charlie the owner that they're thinking about increasing their food offerings too! I've also attended the brilliant MFT exercise classes which are tough but so fun and the team and the other owner Emily are really friendly and knowledgeable. It's the absolute beating heart of Epsom and Ashtead - nay Surrey - and I highly recommend checking them out

The Barn is an excellent cafe, in the pop-up style, even though it is well-established. It was recommended to me by my wife as being a good experience. The seating is on conventional tables with benches, deckchairs, or other methods are available. The coffee we had was of really good quality. There were also a good selection of cakes. In addition, there were snacks specifically for our canine friends. The service was cheerful and the server got the detail of our drinks spot on. It is no wonder that this place is so popular with walkers on Epsom Common and their dogs.

Stumbling across The Barn KT9 was the best thing I have done in a long time! I had been on the lookout for pregnancy safe classes, only to find that every class is totally suitable pre/post-natally and everything in-between due to the incredible trainers that are all extremely qualified. Throughout my pregnancy I went to specific pre-natal fitness classes in addition to their regular fitness classes, where all exercises were safe and clearly explained and supported through each stage of pregnancy. Now postpartum, I have enjoyed a fitness course which includes education, stretching and exercises as well as meeting like minded women who all share an interest. The fact it is BYOB (baby style!) Is game changing, talk about inclusive. Maternal health is so important, and getting to The Barn and exercising knowing I can take my baby and she can interact, play and socialise at the same time clears my head and makes me feel great. I tell everyone I know about The Barn and have got colleagues who wanted to kick start fitness, to join - they equally love it. The added bonus of coffee and beautiful views makes it even more worthwhile. Em and her staff are incredible and have made this small business a real niche that you'd struggle to find anywhere else. I could write a lot more, instead, I'd recommend a visit, whether you drink coffee, go to a class, or simply enjoy one of the many eateries they have on beautiful summer evenings and weekends. You won't regret it.

I discovered The Barn in Sept 2020 whilst in my third trimester. Having spent the majority of my pregnancy in lockdown I wasn't sure what exercises were safe to do and really missed working out as part of a group. The prenatal sessions at The Barn provided a welcoming, friendly environment for a tough and varied workout. Em is a great, knowledgeable trainer, providing adaptations where needed and being on hand for any questions (not only about exercise but pregnancy health in general). The Barn for me not only provided great, safe workouts, but also introduced me to a group on new mums who have since become friends. I'm looking forward to joining the post natal classes soon!

Thrilled I found On Point Training postnatal classes at the Barn after having my second baby. The classes were exactly what I was looking for; a balance of building and improving my post natal strength and form, whilst providing a workout that would challenge me. I particularly liked and benefited from the personal adaptations Em gives throughout the sessions where necessary. The fact you can also bring your baby to the classes is brilliant and means there are no excuses!!

I discovered Em and the fab Barn when I was around 30 weeks pregnant in September 2020. I hadn't done much exercise while pregnant due to the gyms being closed so quite nervous about how my body would react! Em was amazing, so knowledgeable and patient, adapting exercises for my various pregnancy ailments... Thanks PGP! The classes made me feel strong and fit, so much so I carried on until I was 39 weeks! Something I never would have done without Em's encouragement and support and all while she was also heavily pregnant! I can't recommend The Barn enough and I can't wait to get back there for the post natal classes when I can!

I wish I’d found out about the Barn earlier in my pregnancy! Em was so welcoming and her knowledge about exercising during pregnancy and subsequently after birth has been so helpful. I never imagined I would meet such a great, likeminded group of mum’s and now babies through the classes and can’t wait to get back to face to face sessions along with lots of coffees out!

I've used the small street food outlet located in Kingston upon Thames twice in a week. First impression is a homely atmosphere but I didn't eat inside so can't comment. The food really does look like homemade dishes. I trialled the place by using the: Too Good to go app (NB this is a genuine review, i.e. I'm not getting paid by anyone or any business! The app allows you to choose an outlet that has extra food that they might throw, instead you can order via the app for a 'surprise'* bag for a reduced cost. *You will not know what you'll get. NB if you have any allergies, check first before ordering as you might receive something you've paid for but can't eat :/) We paid £6 for a: small, tall pot of red lentil soup, a larger pot of liver and potato dish and a very delicious similar size pot of a potato, chicken and cheese dish (a bit like shepherd's pie but with chicken pieces instead of mince beef/lamb). It's interesting that they make organ meat, i.e. liver which is a good high protein meat for most people. But what about vegans and vegetarians? They make a tasty aubergine and tomato dish (and their default, red lentil soup) but note, there is a lot of oil in the dish which I would suggest to drain out before eating. When home, we made some fresh basmati rice and added the ordered dishes. It was a good-sized, hearty meal. TIP make/buy some basmati rice (its got to be basmati!) /quinoa/naan/ pitta bread/ gluten free breads/ couscous etc to eat with these dishes to make a meal of it. Two adults will be able to have a good size meal if you do this; with a little bit left for the next day's breakfast ;) NB I do not know if they do other non-meat dishes so, best to check their website.

I recently dined at ALReem Cuisine, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel welcome. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere with beautiful Lebanese decor that immediately transports you to the heart of the Middle East. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the mezze platter, which had an amazing selection of fresh hummus, baba ghanoush, and perfectly crispy falafel. The flavors were authentic and wonderfully balanced. For the main course, I opted for the mixed grill, and the meats were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The spices and marinades really brought out the traditional Lebanese flavors, and the portions were generous. Overall, ALReem Cuisine is a hidden gem in New Malden. Whether you’re craving authentic Lebanese dishes or just looking for a wonderful dining experience, this place has it all. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back for more!
