We ordered lunch first thing to be delivered at 12 noon. It came bang on time and the food was amazing! We had jacket potato with beans and cheese, jacket potato with prawns and jacket potato with tuna! Followed by 3 school slices, absolutely beautiful food and service.

came in for breakfast this morning greeted with great service, breakfast was absolutely beautiful as always, highly recommend to anyone to visit you will definitely not be disappointed

First time today in The Arkle, and it won’t be our last. What a fabulous, quirky place - definitely a hidden gem. We both choose Ham salads and as you can see from the photos, they were a proper salad with all the extra bits, including pickles, mustard, & crisps ( which we were asked a preference of flavour) Very fresh, tasty and high quality ingredients and excellent customer service. Today we were rushing, the next time we’ll make sure we’ve plenty of time to sample the cakes too! The menu has such a varied selection & the homemade goodie in the display cabinets looked incredible!

I've reviewed this place before and it might seem excessive to do it again but when its this good it deserves all the credit and praise it receives. Had lunch this time - one chicken burger, one steak pie and one scampi - all delicious freshly cooked and brilliant value. The staff are fantastic and for anyone who has not been, try it you won't be disappointed.

This is the best cafe in Doncaster! We call every Thursday and Friday and the food is delicious. They are super friendly and welcoming and the decor is amazing. Wish it was open every day.

We have been here 5 times and it really is a hidden gem, food and service is exceptional, if there is a recipe for a successful business the Arkle has it, they should bottle it and sell it, this place is a must to visit.

Had a meal here over the Summer and been back a couple of times since. Once for breakfast and once for a lunchtime take out. Quite simply cannot praise this place enough. Amazing friendly staff, lovely food, well priced and can't praise them enough. If you've never been, give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Visited with a friend for breakfast. This cafe was highly recommended and now I understand why. The service was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. There was a short wait for service, but there is clearly high demand. We thought it was worth the time and money. We would definitely return. Thank you

Called here today for the 1st time after seeing a few adverts on Facebook and can definitely say it won't be our last visit. What a hidden gem with fab staff and amazing food. Had intended to just try coffee and cake but after seeing the food coming out of the kitchen decided to have a meal. Wow.... don't need anything else to eat today that's for certain. 2 steak pie and chips with veg, 1 fish fingers and chips and mushy peas and I can safely say it would have fed 4 people. Felt guilty about leaving some of it as the portions are so generous. Can't believe 3 main meals and drinks and it was less than £30.......simply amazing value. Will def be back and can highly recommend.

We have heard so much about the Arkle having just moved to the area, we thought we would try it. So pleased we did. The sausage rolls were the best we had tasted in a long time, not that horrible pink meat this was real sausage meat with plenty of taste to it and the pastry was lovely. Next was the cheese and onion quiche excellent, and scones to die for. Definitely will be back next week, to see what other delights we can try.

Ordered two ham salad sandwiches and we got home and threw the lot in the bin. What a soggy disgusting mess! Everything absolutely covered in mayonnaise!

the staff are brill the food is really good and very well priced you can order for takeaway have it delivered or collect but they have seating area which is usually busy good variety of food to choose from.

This is our third visit and as when we visited the first time - the food, service, atmosphere and ambiance is exquisite. A true Doncaster hidden gem and if you live work or are just visiting Doncaster is most defiantly worth a visit. This quirky...

had ordered one of the pie speials which is new and 2 bacon . the pie was really good for a new special abd so filling. would reccomend for anyone to try . bacon was as good as ever

The food and venue is quality - the decor is quirky and different - nice atmosphere and the staff are very attentive - my only grip is the prices - breakfast wise …. For the sandwiches. I will go back but for a treat only...

If your looking for cheap cardboard butties,this ain't the place for you.if you want good quality home made food then this is the place to go.End of the day you get what you pay for..we'll worth the effort to seek this place out....

Brilliant quality and portion size. Really is a little gem. The roast beef and onions melted in your mouth.

Had one of these from the Arkle in Scawsby and it was fantastic and served by some great staff will definitely be heading back to try some more of the lovely looking food available 😀
