Thai Village Restaurant in Hartlepool

Amazing Thai restaurant located on the beautiful marina. Food was exquisite, the restaurant and toilets were clean and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be going again and would definitely recommend!!

Customer service from the get go was second to none. We were made to feel so so welcome! The food and drinks were very well priced, and the food was amazing. We love Thai food, and there are very little options in the north east. The authenticity, bold taste and flavour and great portions set this one apart from the rest. We will 100% be back, you should go too!

This was our 4th time here & this was by far the worse meal & service received. I'm not sure if they have a new chef but the food was tasteless, we ordered a bottle of wine which we did not receive to part way into meal as she had forgot, then the icing on the cake was the wine we ordered we got to the last couple of glasses & it was full of sediment so we did not finish it. We let the Manager know & she asked us what she should tell her supplier as to why this had happened, we explained that it had obviously been sat on the shelf for too long. We had to pay in full for the wine even though we had only had a couple of glasses out of it. We have decided that our next visit to Hartlepool we will definitely not be dining here.

Fantastic food. We ordered off the specials menu. Plenty to choose from but there is a more extensive menu as well. All reasonably priced. Well cooked and fresh tasting. Staff were lovely and very attentive. We'll be back!

Excellent spot to have a fabulous Thai meal. Extensive menu on offer. Staff are attentive and friendly. The place is set out nice inside and the food is tasty and well presented. Then afterwards a walk around the marina after a lovely meal, just perfect.

Fitted us in on new years Eve table for two . The starter was seafood sharing for two .Best Thai starter I have ever had it was fantastic. Mains was Thai Green and Yellow curry both had loads of flavour and we're spot on . The home made chips were unreal . Egg fried rice was great . Price was well worth the money .Totally recommend this place .

Second time visiting Thai Village. Food and service both excellent. Thai staff are lovely. Parking is £2 but so worth it.

I eat here every time I visit my grandson normally every 6 weeks tonight the food was great and service was going well till our main course waited a while for it all to come out wasn’t asked if we wanted dessert tried to get waiters attention to order coffee but they were to busy chatting. Gave up in the end and went to bar for bill. Girl who was dealing with this did give us £15 off a £130 bill and apologised. Think next time we here we try a new place .

The meals in store was not as nice as when I ordered in May. The amount of seafood that came with seafood platters was ridiculous and the flavours wasn't as good as they were a few months ago.

We were staying locally so decided to try here as the reviews were good. First impressions , the two young boys serving seemed inexperienced and out of their depth. Got a table, ordered drinks, which took a little while to come. Table next to us who came after us got theirs first. A lady who seemed in charge was directing the boys in the most basic of tasks. One of them came to clean down the table next to us and the cleaning solution was lemon, very strong, almost choked on it. Note to owner, tone down to something more neutral. So our order was taken by the lady in charge and the combo platter we chose, which we ordered by number, was served and it was the wrong combo platter. I couldn’t be bothered to argue so just ate it, it was actually very nice, but I’m glad I’m not a vegetarian, as it was all meat, I’d ordered the vegetarian platter. We both had chicken dishes, my husband’s stir fry was a bit spicier than he liked, but not a complaint. Just the wrong choice for him, my Massaman curry was very tasty, a couple of chewy bits in the chicken, but otherwise ok. I ordered a second glass of Pino Grigio, but it took a while to come, the young boy I ordered from came and asked if I’d like a drink, I said yes the one I ordered and haven’t got yet! It was poured and I could see it was yellow, like cloudy lemonade. The Thai lady tipped it out and I got a new one, but it was warm, so served with a side of ice. So, would I come here again? Probably not. Lots of takeouts being picked up, seems popular, but nothing special in my opinion.

We absolutely love it here & travel all the way from Barnsley to visit. A warm welcome, fabulous food & if you’re early the happy hour menu is such a bargain. This has to be the best Thai restaurant we’ve ever eaten in & would highly recommend xx

Absolutely delicious meal. The starters were wonderful. We had a sharing platter, there was one thing on it we didn’t like and were allowed to substitute it for something else. The main courses were also lovely. Great meal out and good price.

Very disappointed with our delivered order . Really enjoyed the last time I used this company but today food was obviously old especially the rib and prawn toast and even the chicken noodle. Every bit of the border was dry dark brown and hard . Next time you good for someone dont take them for fools and pass off the afternoons leftovers

Just up in Hartlepool for the weekend. Thought we’d try Thai Village as it was on the doorstep, and the reviews were good. We were not disappointed! We had the ribs, spring rolls, golden parcels and satay chicken. DELICIOUS 🤤. Main was Massaman Curry with Chicken. Also very tasty. Staff were lovely and welcoming, the service was just right. We left pleasantly full. Next time we’re here we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Local and very authentic Thai place with friendly customer service … We always order all seafoods based cuisines as they used very fresh and delicious products … Their PadThai with King Prawn 🦐 and Seafoods salads 🥗 are a must try and our all time favourite …

Ordered a take away, but had won ton soup and glass of zinfandel while waiting. 1. My take away order took around 50 minutes despite restaurant being quiet ( there were 6 tables sat). No idea why Thai Street food style dishes would need so long to get ready 2. Very pricey: 2 mains, small glass of wine, rice, soup = £54 without service 3. I would be more than happy to pay that much if the food was at least decent - wonton soup was decent, can't complain, just a small portion - we didn't get free prawn crackers - jasmine rice was just a long grain rice - skewers were super dry, beef ones just chewy I kind of understand they don't travel well - seafood ginger & mushroom stir fry was just a joke. There was barely any sea food, sauce was bland. 4. Decor - just tacky some quickly scribbled paper sheets on the windows. Sticky tables, worn out chairs, some dirty sticky mats on the tables. Whole messy section of random stuff next to the bathroom entrance. That's the stuff you don't want to see at this price point.

Lovely staff. A downside: we got vego dishes and there was way too much onion. Onion made up at least 1/3 of all the Veggies (in one dish it accounted for ~half) in these huge thick slices that were hardy cooked esp in the stir fry.

Went for a meal tonight for my husbands birthday. Have been a few times before. Like always, the food was beautiful and the service from staff was perfect, lovely people and lovely food. What more can you ask for. Definitely would recommend.

Wife and I have been twice before on Saturday nights so know how busy Thai Village can get, when we went Saturday night with our 2 sons. Place was full. 2 tables left and the waitress pulled them together for us. As expected the service was not speedy, in fact the waitress commented on the lateness of our starters. When they arrived they were lovely though. I had Kjng Prawn Sambuca. The mains when they arrived were lovely. I had Sweet and Sour Pork. We shared a bowl of Salt and Pepper Chips. They were wonderful. We were well satisfied, and despite the slowness I will still give 5. The staff are very friendly.

Update I do not know if the owner changed but dishes are smaller and the taste is not as good as the last time. Just one service stuff was very friendly but the rest..... There are better restaurants at the marina. Yesterday i went to the restaurant for dinner. After 15 minutes i left the restaurant cause nobody came to my table and ask what i want. Absolutly no go. Today i ordered food for pick up and it was really delicious. Very fresh and tasty. I will come back but just for dinner at home:)

Food was delicious, very courteous staff and they were very timely in the delivery. I love the ambience, it was relaxing and I love every thing about it.

Wrong items when collected. Pad Thai- looked and tasted like a greasy and poor chow mien. No chilli, lime, fish sauce or coriander. Just lots of soy sauce - no place on a pad Thai. Yet another non authentic Teesside takeaway fare

We stumbled on this restaurant during a day trip to Hartlepool for the football and thoroughly recommend it. The food was excellent and service was warm and friendly.

We just popped in by chance to see if they had any vacancies, we were made to feel very welcome and given a very nice table by the window overlooking the marina. The service was excellent, very helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We would recommend that you book as it got very busy shortly after we sat at our table. We are definitely going back the next time we visit Hartlepool.

We get good delivered from here and it comes early, boiling hot and perfect every time. Usually make alterations to everything and they’re always done. Gorgeous food every time 🍚

Having been to Thailand a few times thought I would try this restaurant on the marina. Tried other thai restaurants in Hartlepool and not so good, however this is a really nice place nice friendly thai staff and beautiful food. If you like Thai food you must try this restaurant absolutely spot on

We were at Thai Village for a family Wedding. Everything about it was absolutely amazing. The staff were brilliant, friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. We were made to feel very welcome. I can't say how much was spent per person & what I would recommend as everything was arranged beforehand.

We detoured off the a19 enroute home for some lunch and stumbled across this place. Large dining room which I bet is buzzing in the evenings but only a couple of tables being used so got seated straight away. The service friendly and the food amazing - really one of the nicest Thai’s I’ve had. I had the duck my husband sweet and sour chicken and both were delicious- fresh, tasty and huge portions. Wow, what an amazing experience, I've been to a few of the best Thai restaurants in this country from the glasshouse in Edinburgh to the star of saim in co Durham. This place is better. The flavours are authentic and clear in all the dishes. All the heat in the curries comes out as warm from within rather than hot in your mouth that you get with Indian dishes. Highly recommend and worth traveling to. Will be back again and again. An amazing find.

First time visit, nice relaxed atmosphere with no rush to order, staff very attentive and helpful explaining what dishes were and what their recommendations would be. Tasty food, Thai green curry was really nice, good flavour and quite spicy, reasonably priced we had the 3 course for £12.95 Would definitely go back.

Simply the best in every way. Probably the best thai food outside of Thailand. Everything I've tried here has been nothing short of delicious. The quality,standard and presentation of the food is top class and the staff and service are excellent. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for producing such delicious dishes. It's now a goal to try the entire menu. I am very much looking forward to my next visit. I wonder what I'll try next?

If i could give less than one star i would. Ordered 4 main meals and a soup, only half the order delivered so had to wait again for rest of the order.... £55 for the privilege. Was not happy with the quality and presentation of the food. Will not recommend. REALLY disappointed.😡😡😡

Friendly service in spacious restaurant. The food is deiicious and as someone who spent a lot of time working in Bangkok I can vouch for the authentic taste and finest ingredients. They also offer fusion dishes for the more local pallet

OMG, food was sooooo nice. The best Thai food I've had outside Thailand 🇹🇭 Staff very attentive and helpful. The only possible downer was the fact they sell Singa and Asahi. Asahi is Japanese. Better if they served Chang. Singa still great though. Highly recommended

I have always wanted to try their quisine but for one reason or another I never did, until now. Why did I wait this long? A very popular little place ,booking recommended, has the most delightful food. The taste was just divine of the food we ordered and the presentation was outstanding. Staff was ever so friendly and helpful. I did not have a look at the toilet facility this time so I am unable to state if they are accessible for a wheelchair uses but a quick question when booking would sort this out, however everything is on one level. Parking is plentiful but has to be paid for.

Ordered a steak with chipslast night 08/03/22. Waited nearly an hour and a half when food arrived chips were burnt (and tasted as if they were reheated. Steak was nearly raw and very fatty (probably 3oz fat 7oz meat) I like a med rare steak usually but this was rare-blue. Today I have had an explosive stomach and have had nausea so bad I can barely drink a glass of water. Ordered on hartlepool eats (no complaints or feedback available)

Strange variation in reviews but our visit as the last two diners on a Friday evening was fine. Decent service, nice food and good portions. Jungle curry looked really nice whilst my Tamarind Duck was very tasty.
