The Thai green curry with beef was nice and fresh and cooked all the way through. And The food was well presented. The staff was really frendily. And i will come and eat agine.

Very nice Thai restaurant. Went for lunch and found the Lunch Box options fantastic value for money. Great food and great service.

My meal..fish cooked ok. Had to leave vegetables as not cooked at all..just there in broth. Staff bored. Lack lustre. Self service would have been preferable. Won't be back for evening meal.

On Friday 27th September my wife & her friends booked a table for lunch here. On arrival the restaurant was shut & there was a sign on the door saying “closed due to a water leak”. So they had to seek an alter strive that had spaces. When this booking was made the restaurant asked for a contact number. Don’t know why because they received no call to tell them of the closure. After this poor customer service I don’t think they will return.

I reserved a table for 12pm (yesterday) meeting my friend outside the restaurant. She told me the restaurant is shut! I was stunned so I went inside to get some answers they told me they sprung a “leak” in the kitchen and had to shut. Whilst the staff inside were laughing joking around. A staff member apologised to me but they had my phone number and email address so they could of had the decency to tell me reservation has been cancelled. I won’t bother coming here again.

Food was tasty and fresh. But the seafood curry is very mean. 2 mussels, 2 pieces of squid and 2 prawns (which looked like they had been halved! ) less is not more at £14.95 I would expect a little bit more..

Really like the value for money of the lunch menu and the dishes taste healthy, plus the service is quick. However, I am disappointed that none of the allergens are marked on the menus (particularly if a dish contains shellfish) so constantly have to check as I have a severe shellfish allergy. Additionally there are many dishes such as pork dumplings, chicken satay and thai green curry that I'd love to try here but unfortunately I've been told they contain shellfish and they can't make it without. This feels like a real shame considering these are dishes that typically don't contain shellfish at many restaurants and even when they do, they'd happily make me a custom batch without shellfish. I'd definitely be a regular customer if these changes were made.

We had booked a table for 8 people on 31st August. On arrival it quickly became clear that they didn’t have our booking as a young waiter was hurriedly trying to prepare a table, which clearly would not cater for 8 people. Eventually the manager came over and very rudely said this is your table, pointing to the table which would hold only 6 people max. He eventually admitted they had made a mistake with the booking but no apology of any sort. We left and would not spend money in this establishment under any circumstances. The manager needs to learn some manners

Excellent Thai food have tasted in a long time. Highly recommend. Great choices if your stuck on what to have they are only too happy too help. Excellent food, Excellent service, Excellent atmospere. Most definitely be back.

Low key, well.priced Thai cafe with classic menu and bat

Authentic Thai food We ordered a papaya salad, and Tom yum goong soup to start with, followed by green curry with rice and pad see ew with King Prawn, everything was so delicious from start to finish. Expect the depth of spiciness (or you may indicate “milder” when you order) but everything taste so nice! Reasonably priced, Highly recommend! Good location, good ambience and close to high street for convenience.

We went for a quick lunch while in Newmarket, had a very enjoyable meal from the short lunch menu, all I can say is it’s a shame it’s over an hour from home. Will definitely go back if in town again

Our favourite Thai in the area having probably eaten here on average once every 6 weeks for the past year. The food is always spot on and exactly as described. The service is friendly & attentive but does sometimes feel like it lacks the authenticity and can feel a little robotic. The Tempura morning glory and Beef massaman are two absolute go tos every time we dine here. The tables are a little cramed together (hence the 4 not 5 star review) and if you don't end up with a corner table it can sometimes feel like you are dinning with the people next to you but this has not put us off yet.

The food was ok, but not mind blowing. The service was terrible. We were rushed and pushed from beginning without an explanation. We had the table booked by phone the day before and no mention of a time limit was given. In less than one hour we had the starters and main on the table and plates taken away the moment you had the fork down. The bill was thrown on the table while the plates were taken. No words from the waiter, just shoved in our face. Nobody asked if we are ready or if we want anything else, not even a drink. Even a fast food would be slower than this. When we said we aren't ready for the bill the waiter said that they need the table. No excuse. No explanation. We just felt pushed and rushed and completely ignored, except for taking our money. Never seen this in my life and I ate in very crowded touristic places - not the case for Newmarket. Needles to say we aren't going back

Visited for dinner on Monday. Thai Street Cafe combines a casual dining restaurant & bar. Service was friendly & efficient and there is a decent selection of craft beers & reasonably priced wine. We shared a big basket of seafood crackers & dip followed by a Beef Massaman curry & a Thai Green chicken curry with jasmine & coconut rice. Both were excellent with a generous portion of tender beef/chicken. My husband said it was the best Massaman curry he’d had since Koh Samui. All the basic curries are Gluten Free, which is great for Coeliacs. Will definitely return next time we visit Newmarket.

One of the best meals out I've had in this country. Starter of Whitebait was very nice. Followed by the Street Café Drunken Noodles (chicken) which was as perfect as could be. All the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Service was spot on and the place itself was really nice. I'd recommend this little gem of a place to anyone.

Food was great , but the evening was thoroughly spoiled by not just one but two fights that were not dealt with at all well by the management and staff . Surely the customer should come first and these people should have been removed after the first incident of swearing and fighting . Certainly would not go here again as the staff handled the situation badly - even tried to charge us for desserts we couldn't have and drinks we had to leave as the situation was escalating very quickly into a brawl 😡😡😡

Right so I know thos sounds like a bait comment but it ain't I passed by at 3am with a few friends after finishing work at a near by bar and saw a dude getting head by the bar from some girl. He gave it his best but she didn't look like she was satisfied. Can't wait to report this to the local hygiene agent.

Please find an area outside of the bar to answer the phone for takeaways. So frustrating to be repeatedly told “I can’t hear you” and then for the order to ALWAYS be wrong.

Went here for an evening meal, booked and reserved a table as we had heard it was busy. The sharing "Street cafe special set" menu for £24.75 per head was great value and the Massaman slow cooked beef that came with it was the best beef Massaman I have ever had. Staff were very friendly and provided a great service. Would definitely go back. Parked in the car park behind TK Maxx as it's a Ringgo car park (Rous Road 4474) and just a short walk across the high street.

Love this restaurant, always book when visiting Newmarket and this meal didn't dissapoint. The restaurant was very busy, but the food was superb as always, choose from both the menu and specials board. Great cocktails too. Our waitress Ella was great, super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

A decent enough place, with okay-ish food, but not great. The staff are all lovely and friendly and you get good service. We had the shared starter platter, which includes spring rolls, chicken, satay, ribs and fishcakes. As a starter, it was all pretty tasty and enjoyable, but the mains not so great, the red Thai curry with chicken had far too much chicken. That seems to be a strange complaint, but you just can’t eat such a large quantity and it’s a waste. I had the pork belly which was okay and nothing more. The pork was cut up into small pieces which had become a bit dry and chewy. Otherwise everything was okay, good atmosphere and it’s definitely worth a visit - we would come again.

Firstly, the food is great! 5 of us asked for a set menu. We were told we could only have it for 6 people as it was a ‘per two’ set up. Really ? It’s not difficult to arrange a set menu for 5 people. We ordered it for 6, (expecting too much food) We were served 2 platters for 2 (for 4 people) 2 courses of this. In my opinion, this was and order for 4 people. We paid for 6. We had to leave to catch a train before desserts and coffee (part of the ‘set’ menu) I politely requested a small discount for us declining the desserts and coffee. This was ‘not allowed’ I personally won’t go back, this turned into a very expensive snack for us at £30 a head. Could have been easily adjusted to us or indeed catered for in the first place.

Food was great. Got takeout as takeaway night and didn’t disappoint. Starter platter was my favourite as you got a variety to choose from. Noodles are unmatched and are so delicious and thick. The Thai green curry was nice too and came with rice, didn’t left us stuffed. Great service and only took 10 minuets to come out. Would recommend as something different from a Chinese/ Indian

OMG! My wife and I ordered our usual go-to dishes when eating, Thai green curry and chicken chow mien. They were the best ones we'd ever eaten. It's clearly a popular restaurant as all tables full and with the quality of our dishes we can see why. Reasonably priced and friendly, efficient staff.

We walked into this cafe looking forward to a good Thai meal. We stood waiting to see if there was a table available…. And waited and waited. Two members of staff walked past us and ignored us… so we left and we won’t be back. If we had been at least acknowledged, we would have stayed for sure. We understand that the place was busy and we would have been happy to wait if only someone had said hello. 😞

Been coming here for years as this place is one of my favourites. The quality of the food is always amazing.

Always great food - whether it’s take away or eat in the food is always fresh and great flavours - some of the chilli dishes are a bit punchy but it’s clear on the menu which these are and if you really like heat - go for it!

Great service - a warm welcome and great table service from friendly and passionate staff. Great food - freshly made and zinging with flavour. Plenty of vegan/veg options which are just as tasty. Menu flexibility too, which is lovely. I have eaten here a few times and it’s always been excellent. Great value too

Service was very quick. Food was good. The beef in beef massaman was very tender. There were also bits of fat, but that adds to the flavour. It was a bit on the salty side for me, but as I got through it, it didn't taste too salty. Very reasonable prices. Possibly because it's a small place with hard walls, the place got very loud

A very nice spot for lunch, a great discounted lunch menu with plenty of options. One of my favourite regular spots. Good food and a reasonable price. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere make this a great place for a small lunch or family dinner. I highly recommend.

Been here twice now and not had a bad dish yet. Everything is flavourful, well presented and the price is fantastic. My only flaw (and its not a deal breaker depending how fussy of a diner you are) is the tables are very close together and aren't large. So as an over indulgenant couple who like to order a lot of food. It can feel a bit squished. This is something that I imagine could be easily rectified by booking a table. Highly recommended for top quality Thai food in the West Suffolk Area

Cannot comment on the food as we didn’t make it through the door, as a member of staff very rudely told us we were 5 minutes early and that we had to come back and if we were 10 minutes after our booking it would be lost.

Watch out with the prices I order a Amstel that it saids on the menu £3.80 but when the bill came it saids £4.50 I told the waitresses and she saids very rudely thats the new price but that is not what is reflected on the menu I said. My favourite place to eat, great value for money, amazing fresh Thai food. I visit quite often, recently the Staff haven't been quite on top of things as much as normal. Wouldn't stop me going back though.

We were given an unwashed glass which was covered in pink lipstick and food smears, asked for another one, only to be handed the same glass back (the lipstick mark was the exact shape and shade). Really unsanitary. Won’t be returning.

Food was microwaved and bland, my partner had the fish in what can only be described as cornstarch diahoria, made her very poorly, service was quick at least, I assume because everything was reheated 🙃 front of house staff, looked like they didn't want to be there and was misserable and unwelcoming.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch. The lunch menu is good value, the food is very tasty and it comes out quite quickly. My only gripe is that the bar staff tend to throw empty glass bottles into some kind of bin, which makes a really loud noise, and is a bit irritating. But it’s excellent value for money, and worth a visit.

It's a great restaurant in a small town. The price is reasonable and the food is delicious. No service charge. The Massaman curry and banana fritters were my favourites. I would have given it five stars if their customer service had been better. Every time I asked, a new waitress appeared and I had to explain the same thing again, and also some of my inquiries were ignored.

After giving a 5 star rating five years ago and being a regular at this place I have to amend my review. Visited yesterday for an anniversary meal as this is our favourite restaurant but left so disappointed. we ordered aspal cider repeated order twice and waitress repeated order back and got a pint of Amstel, ordered a pork belly pad ka pau got a chicken one, this was replaced by the correct order after pointing it out. After main empty plates were taken away we were just ignored for 30 minutes by both waitresses, we wanted to order the lemongrass sorbet and some cocktails but waited so long that we given up. Might not be a big deal for some people but it just spoilt our night. Food remains very good but not excellent has before, less variety of vegetables in the dishes and smaller portions.

Been eager to try this restaurant for a while but often booked up. Casual restaurant with tables inside and out. Great Specials menu. Crispy whitebait starter was excellent. Sea bass in sizzling black beans was delicious. Quite chunky with no bones. Panang curry and Singapore...

I would given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the waitress. I wanted a beer and I see they had Estrella on the drinks menu so I asked her which one as there are different ones Damm and Galicia that I know off but there's also laventi but even after explaining there are different ones she just kept repeating herself Estrella I gave up in the end, when she served the food she literally throw the plate on the table so hard that it made a bang sound which got the attention of the table next to us and they also said that's how she served their food to them. I think someone needs to this waitress out by showing her the door and hopefully she won't slam the door to hard on her way out.

While working in New Market I use booking.com to find accommodation. For some company I took my land lady out for a meal. The food was very nice, I recommend the jungle curry, I like spice so asked for extra hot. It was just right. Great food, great company. Highly recommend for nice evening meal.

We often go here for lunch with colleagues and clients. The food is very authentic, delicious and really good value for money. Three of us had lunch there this week and we couldn't believe the low cost. It's also really quick which makes it ideal...

Panang Curry is better than the curry I had on Ko Pha-ngan. Immensely tender chicken, perfectly cooked veg, and stunning flavours.
