Thai Rooster Kitchen in Wirral

I've only ever gotten takeaway from here, but the interior looks cosy. The staff are friendly and there is a great vegan menu.

Walked in on Saturday evening at 19.102 to a more than half empty restaurant. asked for a table for one, and was told to come back in an hour! Supposing the restaurant is going to be fully booked come 19.30. I wouldn’t be able to get a table by 20.00. Makes no sense. Disappointing. I’m hardly likely to stay a long time on my own. Maybe they don’t want individual people on Saturday evening? Who knows?

We had a delicious meal. The 'early rooster' set menu (available 4-6pm) at £13 for 3 courses. Lovely, friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

Thai Rooster Kitchen is a true gem for Thai food lovers! The Tom Kha soup was absolutely divine—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with a hint of tangy lime and aromatic herbs. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor, while the prawn on toast was a delightful surprise—crispy, savory, and a perfect starter. Even the vegetables used for garnishing were so fresh and flavorful, a testament to the quality of ingredients. Every dish we tried was exceptional. Highly recommend this place for an authentic and delicious Thai dining experience!

We chose the Thai Rooster specifically because it had a dedicated vegan menu and we weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we are looking forward to our next visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Rooster Kitchen, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We opted for the Silver Banquet, which offered a huge variety of exciting flavours. We chose to swap the Thai green curry for a beef dish and this was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and infused with rich, savory flavors. Among the starters, the chicken satay stood out with its subtle lime flavor – a perfect blend that left a lasting impression. The value for money was amazing, especially given the high quality and generous portions of the dishes. The staff were very attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The seating was very comfortable, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. To top it all off, the atmosphere was lovely, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. I highly recommend Thai Rooster Kitchen for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine in a welcoming and relaxed setting. They also seem very busy with take away orders. My new favourite place to eat.

So disappointed,.. we’ve ordered from here many times, always been good. However that food tonight was shocking,… easily the worst Thai food i’ve ever had. The Pad Thai Chicken was borderline inedible, massively over cooked, tasteless, literally no flavour whatsoever, greasy stodgy and just awful. The pineapple chicken rice wasn’t much better, probably wouldn’t go back here again,.. gutted

Wow. great food , great service and the taste buds tingle. Cash only but ATM nearby. Give this place a try it's well worth it.

We love the food from Thai Rooster Kitchen. We ordered the Thai toast, salt & pepper chips, beef panang & green chicken curry with coconut rice. Everything was absolutely delicious, hot and fresh. We would highly recommend Thai Rooster Kitchen.

Popped in here whilst staying in the area for a wedding. It was absolutely delicious, such fresh and flavoursome food. Service really friendly. Portion size was more than enough and good value. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant, the staff are phenomenal, very professional, attentive and really friendly, I cannot fault the warm welcome, the quick seating and order taking, and the efficient service. The food is 10/10 - it's absolutely delicious, fresh tasting, authentic, just sublime. The interior, ambience and decor is wonderful, everything seems clean and orderly, the decoration is authentic - it's a wonderful peaceful and happy place to come - I have been here myself just twice since I moved back to this area after many years. I was thrilled to discover this restaurant, however.... This evening I arrived at about 6pm, there were two tables with families on - one table in particular had very young children - I don't have a problem with families dining out as long as the children know how to behave - this table did not know how to parent their children in a public place - the toddler was crying, having mini tantrums, making a lot of noise, shouting - and the parents said nothing. Unfortunately, if parents don't know how to parent, or think it's not important that their child might be screaming or shouting in public, then I think the restaurant needs to step in - it's not fair on their other guests that a family is dominating the evening with their screaming children. I am considering whether I will come again which is a shame, I was really happy to call this place a local / regular haunt, but if I have to sit through what should have been a pleasant Friday night, with screaming kids and parents who really do not care, then I may have to not return.

Good food and stuff very nice and friendly

Sat for an hour since starter plate’s taken and they had sat there for 15 minutes. Restaurant was busy but they give priority to take away food over sit in diners.

Service was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were very attentive. Beautiful crockery and cutlery and food piping hot. Best pork dumplings I've had in a long time and all the mains bursting with flavour, and decent portion sizes. One tiny criticism was the beef in my curry was pretty chewy, everything else we all had was really well cooked. It was my friends birthday and they happily put his cake we brought on a lovely glass stand and allowed us to dress the table too.

I had a good evening here, I personally thought the food was nice, fresh and considering the place was warm and cosy (which costs a lot to heat) it was decent value. Negatives Coke was flat. Lamb Shank is definitely out of a boil in the bag pack, and the gravy cleared off! Which is no issue, as they are lovely, but clearly not slow cooked at the restaurant. Parking can be an issue. Positives Loads of table water brought over Warm and friendly staff. Staff love cash payments Food was fresh tasting and hot. Clean Good local business Staff amazingly friendly I would return, I do believe better food in Liverpool but it’s a little Gem for Prenton and worth a visit!

Ordered online for delivery. Had an auto message saying they hadn't accepted order and money would be returned 3-5 working days. Tried calling, no answer. Totally unacceptable as it's not cheap either. They shouldn't be taking any money if they're not accepting orders.

Visited with my sister and brother in law having traveled here from the Isle of Wight, staff, service and food excellent, will definitely eat here on our next visit, thank you for a lovely meal.

Based on our first experience we didn’t hesitate to order the same meal again. Once again it was spot on. We were given an hour wait which we didn’t mind although we were quite hungry. 13 minutes later it turned up. There isn’t much mire to say, great food again and delivered early. Will definitely order from here as a regular.

Ordered a takeaway it arrived sooner than expected. We were disappointed in the mains portion size considering the price ! Taste was good sticky rice was like a brick it was so difficult to break it up , in our opinion it was overcooked . Will not be ordering from here again 😞

The food are fine. I ordered a lamb shank . It was ok but was bit expensive . The coconut rice doesn’t taste coconut . Pad Thai was good tho. The portions of dishes are pretty tiny . My mum and I had to order 3 main dishes in total. I’d rather go to the thai restaurant in Birkenhead town.

We've eaten at the Thai Rooster Kitchen on a couple of occasions, now, and each time we've been, the food has been delicious, the staff have been warm and helpful, and the atmosphere has been enjoyable. We ordered a delivery for the first time tonight, and weren't disappointed. I highly recommend the restaurant for dining in and take-away. Superb,

Food was ok but £49 for 5 small containers with quiet nothing,very small portions,only 5 panckakes. Small really nothing for that price i will no back to them sorry

Our teenage son has always been a pain to feed and now he's vegan so he's even worse. He never likes anything I buy him/make for him. Well...we tried the vegan tofu pad thai and he really liked it. Def we'll order again.

Me and my partner had the mussaman beef and chicken respectively. The quality of both was very good. Lots of beef and chicken and not overloaded with onions. At first the smell seemed a little weird but in first taste that was quickly discarded. It was delicious. My partner doesn’t normally eat takeaways as she’s very picky and as such eats only health food prepared herself. But she ate the lot including a huge portion of salt and pepper chips. I had the coconut rice with mine and equally finished the lot. This was our first time ordering from here and the whole experience means we will definitely order again.

Usually great food, however something has changes since my last meal here. The curry is very thin like water with the consistency of broth, the beef used was tough and of poor quantity. Not worth the money I spent. Very disappointed. 😞

First time at the rooster I am a Chef and I am very critical of other places so to find this Little gem with Amazing food and staff at a very good price too was cool we loved the Sharing plater and the main course was brilliant just a nice chilled night out

Not sure if the owner or chef has changed but the quality of the food was not up to its usual standard. Mean portion of squid; watery green and red curries; little by way of vegetable and not very spicy or fragrant. The only thing that they got right was the rice! 😕

Wow, wow, wow. What an experience we had. I went there with my mum and my son. We arrived as they just open, it was a bit cold but soon after it warmed up so we were very happy. They didn't really had a real high chair but one you attached to the chair so could take that as a feedback to maybe invest in one real highchair but it wasn't a big issue. Upon sitting the vibe and atmosphere of restaurant was amazing! And authentic musi all the pictures paintings, decorations and figurines. We was really pleased with my mum. It wasn't busy and food arrived quickly! It was presented beautifully, fresh! Cooked on the spot bursting with flavour! Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten so far! We are going there today as well. What was amazing, a lot vegetarian and vegan options with is a huge plus. Keep up the good job. Thank you

I was initially disappointed it was late as I had to go out and we are only about 10 mins away by car(I don’t drive). However the food was well worth waiting for and on reflection the weather was awful that night which may have affected delivery times.
