First time visiting and really enjoyed it. Great staff and service and the food was incredible. Beautiful surroundings and quality furniture. A very quiet restaurant if you like or want that type of dining experience. Our only suggestion was We both felt that it was crying out for some gentle background music and better lighting. Otherwise a memorable evening with the high standards of food served and professional friendly staff. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with amazing wooden carvings and furniture. It felt really luxurious in there. Service was very professional. Food although a tad expensive was absolutely delicious. Had one of the banquets and everything was soo tasty.

First visit here after living in the area for 20 years and OMG why did we leave it this long!.....if you like Thai food then this is an absolute must, the food is amazing, not the cheapest but well worth it. You will not be disappointed 😁😍

OUTRAGEOUSLY OVER PRICED. They get away with it because its the only Thai restaurant in town .. Spent close to 150 pounds on two visits. First time was kind of acceptable but second time was a disaster. Disgusting service .. never met such unfriendly Thai people in my life .. and I lived and worked in Thailand for a few years. Poor hygiene - my napkin had lipstick marks from a previous customer. One of the male staff was arrogant and offensive - bordering on racist. Awful, awful, awful experience. NEVER AGAIN.

Have never been hear before but after a recommendation booked a lunch. Could not be happier. Excellent service and delicious food in absolutely beautiful surroundings. Couldn’t fault!

We enjoyed our evening here. I really liked the unique decor to the restaurant, we were greeted warmly. Food was good. Prices slightly high. Overall worth a visit. Would be nice to see a more extensive cocktail list!

Visited few time food always been outstanding

Second time we’ve been here and was just as good as the first time. Staff very friendly, we were made to feel very welcome and food was amazing. For us, needs to be for a special occasion, as can be expensive but so worth it if you are celebrating, which we were. Very busy for a Monday which was good to see.

The food was lovely, the service was terrible. Made to feel very uncomfortable, waitress didn’t speak, smile or make us feel welcome. She came to take our order and when we asked for a bit longer she stood by the wall just staring at us…very odd! She removed the mix starter platter before we had finished with it, reached over my food as I was eating to remove cutlery and while my sister was still eating her main meal she came up to try to take the plate! We’ve never experienced such odd customer service. She did not speak or smile throughout our whole dinner. When the bill arrived we asked the male waiter to remove the tip and made to feel VERY uncomfortable when he asked why. Tips are given when you receive good customer service and we didn’t , he reluctantly removed it but we will NOT be returning or recommending. Such a shame because it used to be fantastic but they need to do some customer service training with their front office house staff!

Great food, although pricey for some of the menu options. The service was very slow and not the most attentive. The best Evesham has to offer, but not worth a detour.

Always Clean, always great food. We’ve yet to find something on the menu we don’t like. The portions are a good size and all the dishes are packed with flavour. This has become a regular for us now, would definitely recommend a visit.

3 of us ordered the grand banquet which was the dearest on the menu so the starter we had one piece of 5 items which were small then the main came out between 3 of us but we think is was for two because there was hardly any food we were all still hungry so I ordered a pudding and that was extra I think for the price the pudding should of been included, we had the most miserable service in fact a bit rude but food did taste good but not enough of it and really expensive for wot u got a bit more for the money should be given , won’t be racing back there anytime soon

First time here in about 7 years, it was very good then and it still is. The food was fabulous as was the service, the waitresses where extremely pleasant, great value for money too. The restaurant has a beautiful interior of solid timber with elaborate carvings which interesting too. If I am in Evesham again I will definitely return

If you want the full Thai experience, this is a must. Not only is the food fabulous, but the building, the decor, the staff, everything was amazing. Look no further if you’re looking for Thai!

I'm not sure about the food because we left before the food arrived, since the staff is EXTREMELY rude and racist. There was a VERY clear distinction between the way their hospitality was towards us in comparison to other local visitors. Would highly recommend that this place be boycotted unless you're into experiencing double standards.

Absolutely lovely little place, beautiful internal decor, and the staff are extremely helpful - even on a Friday night, helped me find a reliable taxi pickup (after striking out at the rail station). I had the green chicken curry and the Pad Thai, both of which were tasty and well presented. Wait staff attentive and helpful. Will absolutely come here again.

Lovely place, nice food and very pleasant staff!

Have eaten here many times, and let down by recent experience. Food was OK but not as good as in the past and the pudding selection is still woeful. Miserable, rude waitress and they have the cheek to add a 10% service fee to your bill, which is virtually impossible to read as it is so dark. I have been going there for over 10 years. Don't think I'll go again.

Lovely food and lovely setting, very expensive though, when I have been to other places doing set menus you usually get prawn crackers for free

We had lunch here yesterday and had a great experience. We were warmly welcomed , seated promptly and given menus. The service was polite, efficient and timely and our waitress checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. We both had the chicken satay to start then a beef massaman and a Penang chicken with a side of pad mi noodles. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting and served piping hot . We also had a pot of jasmine tea for two. An excellent lunch in a delightful setting, we will definitely visit again.

Delicious food. We had the Chilli Banquet. Most of the Starters were good. Apart from the fish and the vegetables, everything else was delectable.

Pretty empty when we visited but was a Monday night. Had set menu foe 2 but not so impressed with that. Would advise picking from main menu as better choice and larger portions. Although you get 3 mains on set, better 2 larger better dishes if you are into sharing.

Was a bit disappointed with the amount of choices on the menu. Will probably go to the Thai Legend in nearby Pershore, which has much more choice.

Highly recommended! Everything about this place is amazing, excellent service and fantastic food! The atmosphere is very relaxing, intricately designed and decorated in an ornate authentic classic asian style with intricate wood carvings embedded into the table and surroundings, the bridge makes it a magical place to visit! The toilets are first class tiled in white marble and kept to an incredibly hygienic standard!

The food is excellent. Very delicious. The serving staff is very attentive and friendly. Menu prices are affordable. The interior decoration of the restaurant is very nice.

My friends and I came here after we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Cheltenham Restaurant the day before! The food was soooo delicious, like YUM! We tried a couple of the starters, 4 different mains and 4 different types of rice! Everything tasted sooo good! Amazing taste, great quality food, great portion sizes! We couldn't eat it all and brought the rest home for supper! The restaurant itself was beautiful, with a stunning Koi Pond as you enter! The staff were very friendly and just great! Would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Thai food!! Is a MUST try! 😍

Service was pretty slow, half the table received food and the other half took too long to follow. One person ordered duck and received beef. The fish cake starter didn’t resemble fish cake or indeed fish. The prawn crackers were charged when we asked if were included in banquet meal and was told yes. All of this was not a major issue but being made to feel uncomfortable over leaving a tip ruined the ambience of our evening. The waiter outright questioned why we were not leaving a tip several times! We will not return or recommend which is sad as pre-covid we used to have great evenings and great food here :(

Such a lovely restaurant and the food was absolutely fantastic as was the service. The carvings are spectacular. It is worth going just to admire them. Thank you we enjoyed our meal very much. Wil definitely come back.

Evesham Location: Ordered a takeaway on a Friday night after work, exhausted and famished... myself and my partner shared two main dishes + two side dishes + rice... The chicken was tough as old boots, the sauce was somehow more watery than water with zero flavour (as per previous reviewer) The ribs tasted very strange. All round a really bad experience.. even though we were very hungry, we could only manage some of the meal. anyway the next day (Saturday) I was up early to go to work, aftr work I decided to pop into the restaurant to discuss our experience to see what feedback they might have, I explained calmly that we had eaten some of the food, weren't requesting a refund, but wanted to give an opportunity to them before writing a review... well OMG, I did not expect what happened next. I was told no one else had complained that night, maybe it just wasn't to my taste... I said I've eaten Thai food in Thailand, immediately laughed at and told "everyone says they have eaten in Thailand" I said that I have no problems with Sabai Sabai in Stratford, again laughed at, with a response "everyone says Sabai Sabai is bad" I explained the chicken was dry and tough, beancurd was chewy, the sauce had no flavour... to be met with argumentative responses and not even a hint of an apology... I started to get quite frustrated with the customer service and pointed out that all I wanted was some kind of positive response, an apology at the very least... after 5-10 minutes of this fiasco, I decided actually due to the customer service as well as bad food I do want a refund. I was told I should have brought the food back the same evening... to be honest, that IS a fair response, but I explained I had tried to eat and hadn't intended to complain, but I could go back and get the left over food to show how little we had eaten between two people... so the manager scuttled away for nearly 5 minutes, I could hear a discussion being had behind the scenes and he finally emerged to say, to give any amount of a refund I would need to come back with the food and not only that, in the original containers.... I might be wrong, but I don't think he thought I would be back, and I think he thought I had eaten the food and was trying it on... Well... he did look surprised when I came back in with the original bag and containers filled with food.. as I said earlier I was exhausted and left for work very early next day so hadn't tidied the kitchen, so was very quick and easy to return... It's quite astonishing, that instead of offering an apology and deciding to mock me, argue with me and essentially call me a liar has now resulted in me getting a refund AND leaving this review! Terrible Food + Terrible Management

A little disappointed with the service very very slow sat at table for 45 mins before we had to ask if we could get a drink they arrived and we asked if we could order food this was meet with a surprise we wished to order! The food arrived was very very slow and had to go to and ask for more drinks . Food was good but felt like we were being ignored . Head waiter was abrupt . It was busy but when it's costing £160 for 4 people which is what ours was ,I would hope they should have more staff on . We were disappointed as we had been before and it was good .

A fabulous evening, friendly staff, superb food with a wide choice, and great value for money. My wife and I throughly enjoyed it. We often eat Thai food and this is up there with the best.

We visited for mthe 2nd time on mother's day with my 2 children (4yrs /1yr), we ordered the set menu 'the favourite' for myself and my husband and additional starter and main for the kids, other that the Ribs still having a lot of fat on the food was great as it was on our first visit (without kids) but the service was awful and from that I would not recommend. We arrived and were the only ones there to which the kids enjoyed looking at the fish, the staff said that the children were too loud ( they definitely were not!) Once food came they sat contently on their tablets. The staff made it very clear that the children were not welcome and repeatedly asked us if we had finished, picked up starter plates whilst we were still eating despitr us saying we hadnt finished, didn't bring the kids any plates and physically huffed when we asked and made it clear they wanted us out when they started picking up unused cutlery off the table from over our food whilst we ate. Very very disappointed with how we were made to feel, will not be returning again!

Absolutely wonderful! Excellent ambient, excellent service, excellent food. For an uncultured swine like me, the constant monitoring of the tables felt a bit weird, being constantly watched. I understand that they want to make sure they're there for the customer.

Love it. Proper Thai experience

Had to wait for service, no welcome, not a smile, not a single word was spoken. We were obviously a nuisance and not welcome so we got up and left. We would have thought that customers would be welcome but we were wrong. We had been there a few times before and noticed that the portions were getting ever smaller but we wanted to give them a try again. A simple smile would have made all the difference but after today’s experience we won’t be back.

We had a wonderful meal at the Thai Emerald this evening. The restaurant is truly unique, showcasing incredible carved sculptures, every chair, every table, it really was a special setting. As we walked in we were greeted by an indoor koi pond, this already a favourite of mine, really made me feel at home from the start. A bridge to cross into the restaurant was a fun experience. The staff were kind and attentive, taking our drinks order soon after we were seated. We had a good look at the menu and ordered our food soon after. The food arrived swiftly and was absolutely delicious, all piping hot and incredibly tasty. Our only regret is we couldn’t have tried more. If you like Thai food, and want an experience whilst dining, give the Thai Emerald a visit.

Last minute booking, fitted us in, as always, very polite and professional. Lovely venue, fabulous food, it’s the best in the Midlands I’m sure!! You will not be disappointed, my brother has been here a few times and it’s always great!!!!

Unbelievable experience, made me feel like I was in Thailand.

I have always wanted to try Thai food but my dietary requirements mean I have to be careful with restaurant food, but luckily they had a dedicated gluten free section on their menu and I had plenty of options that I was able to choose from. We ordered takeaway - it was very speedy service, and all the food was delicious. I think I'll definitely be returning when I am next in the area.

Fantastic food! Had the grilled sea bass in banana leaf with a side of coconut rice. Nothing overcomplicated just delicious, well cooked food, full of flavour.

Good food - horrendous and rude service Went last night with friends. Food was good , service awful. An hour to get starters , no prawn crackers and wine was flung on the table in a warm ice bucket , without being opened - let alone tasted? Staff were rude and dismissive. Next time I will host at home and get a take away from Hongs. I could have better wine & better food in a nicer environment , don’t waste your money.

Delicious food, great value. Amazing carved tables.

We usually get takeaway food but the building itself is amazing. A small wooden bridge takes you across to the dining area and the sound of trickling water soothes you as you eat. The food itself is probably slightly more expensive than most other local takeaways but that's far outweighed by its quality. It's probably the best place to get food from in Evesham!

Fab place, the reviews don't lie! Beautiful Calamari. Not overcooked and the batter was spot on. Really good Vegan Massaman, good portion of Steamed Jasmine Rice. Lovely decor, Koi in a pond which you cross via a lovely wooden bridge. Carved chairs, calming vibe, helpful staff.

My partner and I attended Thai Emerald for an evening meal. We had starters and mains all of which were perfectly cooked and immaculately presented. The menu was full of very appealing options. The decor and atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were so polite and welcoming. The prices were reasonable and overall we thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We look forward to eating there again and would strongly recommend it.

Amazing food let down by poor service. It took a while for my drinks order to be taken & it wasn’t overly busy. It took a while for my drinks to arrive and at that point my order for food wasn’t taken so had to wait longer. Starter took approx 45 mins to arrive and then main came 1 hour after my starter. Again took a while for drinks to come to table. There were also lots of cobwebs and spiders on the wooden art next to the table.

Very disappointing food. Lacked authenticity especially compared to our trips to Thailand. Would not bother going back. Also, there is no disabled access, no disabled toilets. Great shame as we had such high hopes.

Very disappointing. "The Grand" for two @ table 8 Sunday evening should have been lovely for our 3rd anniversary. Instead the main courses were bland! The rice was clumped together, the duck was fatty and lacked any flavour. The beef with black pepper was chewy. The starters were tasty though.

Warm welcome with a friendly effecient service, tasty food and lovely setting in a clean restaurant. Second visit recently and both times left feeling money well spent.

First visit and initial impressions were very very good. Beautiful decor, nicely presented tables and soft lighting. Only one other couple in (with one further couple joining later in the eve). Friendly staff. However, the food was poor. Really poor. Ordered the Bangkok buffet for two consisting of a starter selection and a few mains. Everything provided was so devoid of flavour and if I had to guess, had been microwaved then sent out. Chicken dishes were particularly dry and disappointing. Dishes sold as "three chilli's" in terms of spice rating (the highest the restaurant offered) lacked any body or taste. If I was offered this meal back to back with a Tesco ready meal, I wouldn't be able to pick. The waiter, though polite, suggested that Thai food doesn't tend to have any kick. Certainly not the case in my experience where Thai food has been a fresh and vibrant affair. Thai emerald isn't a particularly cheap experience and one left thinking that I'd paid purely for heating, lighting and an elaborate water feature. I honestly do not understand the 4.6 rating (at time of review), so can only assume an incredibly "off" night was had. That being said, I would never personally recommend visiting.

I've eaten at the Thai Emerald a few years ago. The staff at friendly and polite. The food is well cooked and served piping hot. For starters I had deep fried prawns in sesame seed batter my partner had Todnmun Pla, fish cakes. For main monk fish and grilled seabass in a banana 🍌 leaf with jasmine 🍚 rice. Lovely decor as per the photos of the table, elephant and Buddha statue. Will visit again.

This is the 5th time I have visited Thai Emerald. It has beautiful decor, delicious food, and kind staff. Excellent location for that special occasion.

I was sad to find out that Thai Emerald no longer do the Sunday buffet. The food was exceptionally well presented, the chicken was a little overdone but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The restaurant was a delight to be in and the bathroom was beautiful also, clean throughout. Couldn't ask for more.
