Tesco Cafe in Wigan

i go with my grandparents every week and you pay for what you get - it’s a tesco cafe the reviews are very unfair considering it’s not a 5 star restaurant 😂 the breakfasts are always good, quick and warm - any issues the staff correct immediately. the hot chocolates are lovely but the beans could be upgraded :)

Had chorizo breakfast eggs it was absolutely lovely especially the eggs which were done to perfection would recommend highly

Poor girl on her own trying to serve and take orders. Ordered panini for price it was a joke one slice of ham ( which was burnt around edges) teaspoon of cheese. Dry and no taste to it

Fast service with a smile. Piping hot latte and a T Cake that arrived before I’d got to my seat..brilliant.

EDIT: It has improved. If you like clearing a table for yourself, sitting with your feet in spilt crumbs and waiting a long time for food then go here.

Takes forever to get your food because the women behind the counter isn’t taking the orders quick enough, I entered the cafe at 1:30 and now it is 3:00 o’clock and I still haven’t received my food, the food is also made without care and fallen apart, poor service

It's a great little cafe with toilets and lots of space I usually only want a coffee or a pot of tea and maybe a muffin or a slice of cake It's never been very busy when I have visited in the afternoon A good selection of drinks and cakes I recommend the sicilian lemon muffin and the lemon and ginger tea

Visited for Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant is not value for money. The portion of peas fit onto a t spoon. The coffee was like dishwater. The plate under the fish was swimming in oil. However the food was hot so well done for that.

There is always only one person serving/dealing with payments and that makes you wait for a long long time. The food took ages to arrive, the chips were very nice and the sandwich I had was nice, though barely any goat’s cheese in it. It definitely is not the worst but it could be much improved if two people were serving when it gets busy and if they could slightly improve portions just to make it worthwhile.

The avocado toast and egg with bacon were great. The coffee was mediocre. The cafe is open plan and felt cold. My order was not on the menu, I chose a few different things but it came to over £9!! I didn't ask for a receipt , which I wish I had now, but I did get it on my clubcard. For some reason they sprinkled chili flakes all over my plate of food. If you don't want that you better speak up!! It was an average brekkie - prefer mcd if I'm honest - at least it's warm!

Beyza was very rude, very unhelpful and very unapproachable!!

Nice food but the service takes longer and longer even when it doesn't look full at all.. items on the menu that are not available are common too and today we sat on a table that ws dirty but had the spray and cloth on top so we thought someone was around cleaning but after a while no one came so I signalled one of the Tesco team staff when I saw one... she came to the table and I asked if she could clean it so we could use it... not a word was uttered... the table was vigorously cleaned while throwing all the breadcrumbs and pieces of food on to us and she left... obviously not happy!! We come here quite a bit but I don't think I will come back soon.

I am sat in tesco cafe in Hindley. It is 4.45pm. I tried to order cafe at 20 minutes to 5. Sorry, we close at 5 I was informed. They refused to give me the manager's name, who was apparently on her day off. 16/5/2022.

Me and my grandfather have visited every day since opening and always enjoy the experience. We have developed a wonderful relationship with all the staff and they are more than happy to assist us with seating our wheelchair and organising our meals so they are fresh, hot and very tasty.

Bacon very fatty and barely cooked. Cheap sausages - tasteless. All poor quality. Service was good. Morrisons is 5 star breakfast compared to this and well worth the extra journey. SORT it out Tesco as I ended up shopping in Morrisons as well.

The cafe is spacious the food is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful.I call in on a regular basis with my elderly mother and the staff always make a fuss of her .I have a breakfast that I find is both great value for money and nutritious. Keep up the great standards Team Hindley.

Had breakfast and was OK but requested extras, a portion of mushrooms and tinned tomatoes instead of fried tomatoes, I received 1 mushroom approx 1 inch in diameter, 80p extra and a teaspoon of tinned tomatoes (not sure about price of that) felt totally ripped off

I visited the store on Saturday 28th November to find a few things I needed. Just to let you know I’m a terrible shopper when it comes to shopping for food. I get really confused with where things are and so usually go to smaller supermarkets because things are easier to find but because it was bad weather I decided to get my things here as it was closer to home than Asda. After wondering around for about 5 minutes feeling frustrated because I still hadn’t managed to locate any of my items I was looking for I saw a couple of employees working in one of the aisles. 2 females. One was a woman with dark bobbed hair and the other was a young girl with blonde hair. I stopped and explained to them both what I was looking for and that I was struggling to find my items so they started to chat to me and told me where to look. I could tell they were both busy and didn’t want to keep them from their jobs so I said thank you and started to walk off when the blonde girl told me to follow her and personally led me to my items which I’d have never found especially one of them which was located at the front near the tills. I think she could sense I was struggling so I really appreciated that. She is an asset to the store and knows exactly what customer service is. I wish I’d have got her name as she should get some kind of recognition for this. For reference I was looking for beetroot juice and tomato juice and prunes and green tea. It was the beetroot juice and prunes I was struggling most with and she took me to them. She’ll remember as they were very random items haha. Overall a really great experience from start to finish and the woman on the tills serving me was really nice and friendly too

Enjoyed a good breakfast whilst car being valeted. Great service and half-price Monday - Wednesday in August as a bonus! Dealing well with the problems corana 19 causes, so we felt safe. Will be back.

Hindley is our local Tesco and would like to say it is slowly improving but still a bit hit or miss depending on what day/ staff are in. We had got to the point we would rather travel a few more miles to the store by the Reebok stadium as service there was excellent. Yes it needs to improve further and be consistently good.

My first ever visit to the cafe. Had the good for you breakfast. What a disaster it was... all the surface water on the mushroom was left on the mushroom so my plate filled with boiling hot water. The spinach was overcooked & tasteless limp green leaves. The toast was burnt but the most tragic part was that the poached egg was so over cooked the yolk resembled scrambled egg inside... I can honestly say I wasted my money & will not return. The best part was the coffee which was actually quite nice.

This is our local Tesco, so we use the cafe quite often. Every time we go I wonder why we bothered. The staff are rude, and they always make you feel like it is a chore to serve us.

Tesco Hindley been our main store for over 10 years and the cafe been going down hill since it moved from the ground floor to the 1st floor. We always call into the cafe once we have completed our shopping, and each time the service is getting slower and slower.I always thought fast food was slick and fast but not in this cafe.The choices of food is smaller from the menu ,I'm sorry to say they need more staff and I mean more staff (seriously) to be fast so people are not sitting and waiting for food. The cafe will shut in six months due to lack of customers not buying food. This is my own opinion from a loyal customer Kind Regards John Ellison

We've been going to tesco for years, especially sunday breakfast, it was always packed, and the atmosphere was good. We dont go anymore because the last time we went, the person who served us didnt listen to a word we said, and, even after she eventually took our order, she still got it wrong, we told her but she tried to say it was our fault. The tables were full of dirty pots and the same person was too busy having words with another employee, telling them shes not moving them, its not her job and finding it very funny when a cook came out of the kitchen to move them. I call that Bullying..

Absolutely rubbish Hindley store cafe. The staff are unfriendly. In particular the bloke that works there. I waited over an hour with my hubby and child for a jacket potato and beans. The only enjoyable part of the experience was the yummy muffin. Avoid if you are in a rush.

This cafe is upstairs near the phone shop. There is a good seating area with tables if you need one, the cafe is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and helpful. You make your order and they will bring it over to you.

Went for a coffee at Tesco Wigan, excellent friendly service, coffee was really good, lovely atmosphere

Middlebrook Tesco cafe. If your lucky enough to have access to various Tesco Stores you will now that the cafe in them are varied in the way the food , not bad but mostly not something to write home about. well I have to say the meals at the middlebrook is. it is well above average and worth a good to very good mention. so if your thinking of shopping don't want Macy dees or other food places that cost more than a days wages then consider having a mighty fine meal at Tesco. hou wont be disappointed.

A nice little cafe within itself. However, for some reason, when comparing to other supermarket cafés - this one has the ambience of a truckers cafe. Perhaps a broader variety of choice would go a long way to enticing more people to stop in for a brief bite, as opposed to being faced with the current menu for choice. After all the products are already in the store.

Poor service woman on till had mood on her and showed it .child's food went back as nuggets hard as rock and burnt then all meals came out in stages poor to say least

Expensive coffee, some miserable staff.

Stood waiting for atleast 8mins and no one acknowledged me waiting although staff walked past me a number of times. I was the only person in the que but no one interested in serving me. Worst supermarket cafe i have ever been in. Gave up and went to morisons cafe !! And they got 5stars.. Tesco cafe needs shutting down ☹️

Good clean food freshly baked bread nice pot tea with pleasant area eat in

Came with my daughter for breakfast. Fast and no fuss breakfasts at a reasonable price.
