Terracotta Italian Kitchen in Uttlesford

When flying out to Italy I always stop in at Terracotta. The food, drink and Italian music is always good but the service is always absolutely impeccable. This time a young lady called Idalina was helping me who deserves a special mention and I would like to thank her for starting my trip in the right possible way.

Very disappointed with our meal unfortunately. Food was bland, cold, and unseasoned. Tasted like a microwave meal, pasta was rubbery. Service was ok? Wouldn’t recommend having dinner here.

We waited for 30mins & they still didn't serve us stating they weren't open yet staff were present, at 10am we went back the guy said I can only take card cz I can't open the till & my colleagues gone toilet so you have to wait 15mins. Disgusting service cz we had 4 kids who wanted pan au chocolate & we are boycotting costa hence went here. At the end we want giraffe for coffee & chips for the kids. Never had such an horrendous customer service absolutely disgusting behavior.

I didn’t fancy any of the other restaurant at stansted and liked the look of Terracottas breakfast menu and so glad I went here ! I had the eggs royal which was beautiful, service was quick and friendly and I was able to eat without the noise and excitement of places like Wetherspoons ! I had a fresh orange juice and latte both of which were lovely ! Would certainly use again

My review is simple. This is the WORST pizza I have ever eaten, and I only ended up eating one slice. Mio Dio - what on earth are the bases made from? Cardboard? AVOID AVOID AVOID! Overpriced and an ABSOLUTE INSULT to call this place an "Italian Kitchen".

The only good thing about this place is the staff. The food is appalling. It is just British breakfast food with Italian names and an Italianised piece of bread like a very thin focaccia. Calling a cheap Wall's type sausage 'salsiccia' is plain dumb - it is nothing like a salsiccia so we were really disappointed. Scrambled eggs were cold and tasteless - not enough seasoning. Rosti bites were laughable. The annoying thing is that the decor is not bad - it looks the part it is just that they don't follow up with the promise - frankly. A complete waste of £26 for an orange juice. coffee, scrambled egg on toast, a sausage sandwich and some spuds

Had a quick scan of various airport ‘restaurant’ menus and decided this was the more authentic looking breakfast menu available (there is a Wetherspoons Pub here but I refuse to use them due to the way the owner treats their staff). I ordered the ‘Big Ben’ breakfast costing £16.45, which consists of some streaky bacon, 2 small sausages, beans, tomato, a portobello mushroom and some potato roasting balls, plus a mug of tea (£3). After a few minutes the tea arrived (a teabag in a mug), and a couple of minutes later the breakfast arrived. I was surprised with the speed of the service and the server was very friendly. So, I tucked into my breakfast only to find it was all cold - now this was not the fault of the server as she brought it to me as soon as it was out up by the kitchen staff. I tried reaching the items on my plate and the entire meal was cold. I took the breakfast back to the kitchen and asked them to heat it up. About five minutes later (after I watched them leave it under a grill) the breakfast returned hot and was much better. The only thing that let this place down was the fact the food was served cold to lukewarm warm, aside from that it tasted good and the service was great. Such a pity they failed on the most important part of the experience- the actual food! When one is paying so much for a breakfast at the airport one expects it to be served hot.

Ok 6am early morning went to terracota italians ordered breakfast.....and completely disappointed... Paid almost £15 for plate with scrambled eggs maybe was 2 in there all together one slice of bacon,had to pay extra for toast £1.45 and ☕️ Food was horrible will never eat there again spending £20 for nothing...never again rather got to pret.

Service, excellent, food, poor. The server was lovely, prompt, friendly. But the eggs benedittino were awful. Soggy toast, soggy spinach, very overcooked and all awash with the hollandaise. Shame.

Terracotta Italian kitchen, we visited this restaurant gor the first time a first expression wasn't the best. Table, floor cutlerys - dirty, young waiter - she was nice, good came quickly, we had 3 different foods a i can compare. Food was bland. Prices /£17.95 . Total expense was just ok and im not sure if we will return

What a surprise! Expectation of getting a good meal in an airport was quite low but actually the reality was very good! Haven't been through Stansted for some time so this restaurant was new to us. The host and the serving staff were not only very friendly but extremely efficient. The food was also very good and nice to see arancini and courgette fries on the menu!

Pop in for very friendly helpful staff, smiley chefs and great food. Popped in before my flight to relax with a G& T ( with cucumber)

This is a great addition to Stansted Airport airside departures. I stopped here for breakfast and it was great to easily secure a table and enjoy a leisurely breakfast with table service before my flight. The Terracotta breakfast with toast was perfect for me although bigger offerings are available. Service was excellent with no need to fight your way to the bar or use an App.

My two gf rand children and I had an early morning start so had breakfast at the Terracotta. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and well presented. I had Italian sausage sandwich yum! Granddaughter had pancakes and grandson had bacon sandwich. Amazing. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful food, friendly staff who interacted with the children and us so well. Children enjoyed pancake stacks and we had sausage panini with rosti potatoes - delicious! Our children couldn’t finish the 3 pancakes either so we got to have a try - and they were great fluffy pancakes! Could taste the booze in the gin & limoncello cocktail too! Would eat here again, thanks all!

This is within Stansted Airport - after security. We had an early breakfast here before flying. Our food was served quickly and was good.
