Best restaurant experience in years. Both the food and service were outstanding. The menu really is class. We we're a family of 5, ordered off the set menu which is unbelievable value for money. The chef cooks in front of you and really knows how to put on a show. He was a true gentleman, really interactive and brilliant with our daughter. I genuinely do not know how they are able to provide such an experience for the price. We will definitely return. Just try this place for yourself.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We had a table booked for ten of us for a friend's birthday on Saturday night. Had to pre book our sushi a day in advance which was served upon our arrival along with a gravy boat of soy sauce covered in cling film (that wouldn't have looked out of place in my granny's kitchen) and a pea sized amount of wasabi. Even though we were one of only two tables in the place, it still took 90 minutes before the chef even came near us. Not a single apology or explanation as to what the hold up was. Two people in our party had to leave before even getting to eat due to childcare commitments and the chef actually tutted at them when they said they had to leave. As if the whole experience couldn't have gotten any worse, they then tried to overcharge us nearly £100 on top of what we owed. From reading some of the other reviews and from speaking to other friends, this seems to be a regular occurrence. In summary - Tacky interior, terrible atmosphere, sub par food and clear lack of competency among the staff.

I have been to this place twice before and both times, it was quite a cool and unique experience. Unfortunately, my third visit was a disaster. After booking, it took nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes before the main course had even begun to be cooked. When we finally received our meal and reviewed the bill, we noticed several items on the bill that we had not even received. We ended up having to stand and argue over these charges for over 30 minutes, which is something I have never had to do before in any restaurant. Despite our efforts, we were overcharged with zero explanation of what the charges actually were. While my first two visits were good, this experience was horrible. I would not recommend this place based on my latest visit.

Disappointing to have to write this review as the food was actually very tasty (however cold) it's just a shame there were issues that meant I wouldn't go back. Number one, the staff are SO slow! The teppanyaki tables were full but aside from another couple we were the only other table. 20minutes sitting without as much as a drink ordered. Eventually we ordered 2 types of sushi and one main between us. After sitting for 55minutes our first dish of 6 pieces of Nigri sushi came out. We then had another 20minute wait for the second sushi dish instead of just bringing them both at once. By this point my partner wanted to leave as he was fed up. I overheard the staff saying to the only other couple that their food was coming so I can only imagine they found it ridiculous also. The takeaways however were flying out. Our main, assorted seafood teppanyaki with noodles was again delicious but.... cold. Such a shame to serve good food cold. Secondly the restaurant was cold I hadn't brought a coat in and I was freezing which was making the wait more unbearable. 2 hours later we went straight up to counter to pay as there's no way we were waiting for a bill to be brought down. I cannot imagine how they would cope with a full restaurant. This place has the potential to be so good but unfortunately they'd need to sort out thier staffing issues and start prioritising thier actual sit in customers before I'd go back

Sushi are very nice and fresh with good choice, did takeaway, prices are reasonable. This is the only sushi place we go to

Absolutely fantastic experience! We came here to celebrate 3 birthdays and the host Rose went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience, even bringing out desserts and singing happy birthday! The chef for teppan yaki was brilliant as well, really entertaining and interactive. 100% recommend a visit here!!! Will be back again ASAP!

This is a real hidden gem of a place! We have been a couple of times for sushi and its always amazing! They hand make all the sushi to order so you will have to wait while its made but they staff are very clear about how long it will be and its totally worth it the wait.

This place is flawless, from the second we were ushered in by the friendly service and the great views. But the FOOD! It felt like there was a party in my mouth! As a professional chef myself I could really enjoy a cornucopia of fantastic sights, smells and tastes had my taste buds tingling. All served by the laughing, happy chef himself Genie. With a joke and a smile Chef Genie cooked us up a fantastic meal on the grill right in front of our eyes. Just like having front row seats at the best show in town. This was one show not to be missed. Service from the amenable Violy was fantastic and no request ever a problem. After a trip to the immaculately clean toilets we relaxed for the dessert and even gave a slice of cake for my girlfriend's birthday because they knew it was her big day. I was very touched by the detail. The food was so delicious but there was more than we could manage but we tried hard. LOL. We felt very lucky and fortunate to have had this experience and would recommend to anyone with taste buds and imagination. I recommend booking because I have a feeling it will be very very busy in the future.

On hearing great reviews about the food and the entertainment by chef round the grill. I thought I'd try it with my mum and sister. Bit of a lengthy wait for our first drink (a lot of take aways seemed to be on the go and there only seemed to be one waitress on shift). Once the food and drinks were ordered the night was great craic. Recommend sitting round the grill if you can. Food was delicious, be warned if you think you are going for a cheap and cheerful meal, some dishes seem to priced on the higher side. However the sirloin steak teriyaki (good lump of steak) I had was outstanding, so tender and worth every penny. Go for the experience, hopefully the service will be a little quicker, even on taking an order for first drinks the next time I'm back
