This place is a hidden gem, wonderful coffee and owned by a very knowledgeable person who appears to love what he does. The rest of the staff are very welcoming too.

Amazing Cappucino with the real chocolate topping - will definately be back to try the lunch menu as well. Staff made us feel really welcome - highly recommend this place

We hired Ten Steps Coffee Lounge for a private family function & what a brilliant decision that was! Everything was incredible from start to finish! Jack & Harriet should run a master class in customer service! They always reply promptly to emails & ensure everything is exactly to your requirements. The location is brilliant, on Merry Hill’s Waterfront, free parking. Beautifully decorated inside & seating outside as well which we enjoyed. The coffee & cakes are to die for!! Highly recommend - lemon drizzle, Victoria sponge & salted caramel traybake. Our 45+ guests were all looked after perfectly, no one had to wait long for drinks & exquisitely crafted coffees! Service was polite & professional throughout, very, very impressed on all levels. Highly recommend!

What a find! Beautifully decorated coffee shop with friendly staff and delicious coffee! Nice outdoor area too. Will definitely return to sample the lunch menu which looked interesting.

Fantastic cafe, owner and his wife are truly coffee experts and everything we ate and drank was 10/10 as were the bathrooms absolutely spotless and dare I say it lovely- highly recommend and we will be back, can eat inside or out with covered areas and lots of easy free parking which is a bonus these days

I would say I am personally very picky when it comes to coffee, I go on heat, smell and taste. If it’s too hot, personally it kills the drink for me. If the beans are coming to an end or not of a good quality then the smell can be harsh to the nose and thus affects the taste. However, 10 steps has this pinned down for me, strong black coffee with no sugar, I could happily sit in here, listen to the music and sip this drink with repeats while the wife is shopping. Food looks good, the staff you can tell is family run and that adds to the experience. Tempting to make them a real solid oak book case, so I can read while I drink. Please try this place before you go to one of the other places nearby.

I'm not sure if it's unfortunate or fortunate, that I'm not local to Ten Steps Coffee Lounge. If I was local I would doubtless spend a fortune here! As I'm not able to indulge every day (or even every month) the challenge is choosing which coffee to take. My default is a flat white - theirs is perfect. But there is also creative mastery at work with seasonal specials that are quite extraordinary. for example, don't miss the chance to experience the magic that is the creme brulee latte - complete with crackable crust. Coffee mixology of the highest order.

Our coffees were lovely and smashed avocado on toast with poached egg was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was great. Would definitely recommend.

What a great little find!! Tucked away on the surprisingly picturesque The Waterfront near the Merry Hill shopping mall, this independent coffee lounge is the perfect meeting spot! Offering an amazing selection of coffees, homemade cakes, breakfast, brunch and lunch. Plenty of seating available inside and covered outside seating. Ten Steps is owned and run by husband and wife team, Jack and Hattie. There is always a warm welcome and cosy feel to the place, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is delicious!! Highly recommend a visit!!

Eggselent friendly atmosphere. lay back with very friendly staff. Coffee superb trust me and right temperature too. I ordered the veggie hash with extra avocado. By far the best coffee on the waterfront ! Almost daily stop for me and I never get disappointed never had a bad cup of coffee from here !

I havent been to the waterfront for a long time as I have moved away but I love this place - definitely a daily visit for me now :)

I had a brilliant experience, I had a warm welcome and loved the atmosphere which goes so well with the decor so well. The cheese toastie was crisp and delicious which came along with a jammy mango dip and tortilla chips which went together so well. I recommend the mango fruit smoothie a refreshing and delicious drink. I highly recommend a visit 10/10.

I have now visited ten steps several times and would recommend this place, excellent coffee especially Melbourne flat white with vanilla, for food try their avocado on toast and to top it all the service is excellent. Happy 1st birthday ten steps x

A young business which deserves to succeed. Nice decor. Great coffee. Amazing service. Always polite and professional. Would like to see a nice selection of cakes though! :-)
