te Seba in Glasgow City

We decided to have a nice date night at this place. We didn’t enjoy the atmosphere because we had to yell at each other. We were assuming that in place with pasta and Prosecco would be variety of choice for Prosecco. 1 is not a variety. Service was regular. Food was way below expectations. My pasta was super salty and greasy. My partner’s pasta with ragu was again very salty and poor quality beef. Profiteroles and lemon tart have nothing to do with Italian siblings.

This is hands down the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life. Coming from an Italian family we have been to many Italian restaurants around the UK and Italy, but this one takes the cake. From the service, to the drinks, to the quality of the pasta, just unbeatable. Keep up the good work!!

Came here on a Thursday evening and we were able to get a table without a booking, which was perhaps a little lucky as there was a steady flow of people. Had the classic antipasti followed by the roast chicken, spinach and cream pappardelle. Both were absolutely delicious

I've been there 3 times by now and was very disappointed with my last visit Service was extremely bad every time we went there, but at least before taste and quality of food did make up for it. Takes ages to take dirty dishes away, never pour wine (event when they open the bottle) and hard to catch them to order smth more (as they never ask if all OK and if anything else needed). I also want to highlight that for pasta restaurants, it is completely unacceptable that they don't give you parmesan to go with pasta. They do come to put a tiny bit on top of your dish, but when you ask for more - they become very agitated and weird about it. I don't think the restaurant would go bankrupt allowing guests to have a bit more parmesan for their meals. And last time after eating there I got big indigestion problems, sausage or cream must not be fresh. It is pity, as the idea is great and the food before was decent with big portions.

Dropped into Te Seba again last night but had the roast chicken, spinach and cream pappardelle this time. Beautiful presentation, pasta was excellent but the cream sauce was outstanding. Friendly and polite hostesses, nice vibe, a really pleasant evening.

Increased prices hikes on menu (from £12 to £17 for pasta) puts this at a bit expensive for what is offered.

Last Friday night, we decided to drop by Pasta and Prosecco for a casual evening of wine and a light bite. Despite not having a reservation, we were pleased to find that a table was available. Our initial excitement, however, quickly turned into a disappointing experience. We ordered wine and antipasti, intending to keep our meal light. When the waitress brought the wine, she inquired about our pasta order. We politely declined, explaining that we were only interested in antipasti and perhaps dessert later. Her reaction was shockingly unprofessional; she appeared angry and insisted that her father was already preparing the sauce. This left us baffled since we hadn't ordered any pasta. In an attempt to clarify the misunderstanding, we explained that we were unfamiliar with the restaurant's policy requiring a pasta order. The waitress responded with increasing hostility, insisting that it was obvious and berating us for not mentioning it earlier. Her demeanor was rude and condescending, treating us as if we were children who didn't know how to behave in a restaurant. This uncomfortable encounter led us to decide to pay for our untouched drinks and leave. The waitress had no issue taking our money and watching us walk out. Unprofessional and rude service left a lasting negative impression. We would not recommend this place unless significant improvements are made to their customer service.

Absolutely blown away by the food. I had no preconceptions of what I was going to get but 10/10 would recommend. Food excellent, service was attentive but not overbearing, and this was despite being extremely busy. Will be back when I’m next in Glasgow!

Really lovely pasta with a great atmosphere. Bellinis are tasty too. Good value for the food and service, waitresses are very helpful. They also cater to vegans and vegetarians.

This is the best spot in the whole of Glasgow for pasta. We have been so many times and absolutely love it and just love the vibe here. Staff are always fab 👌

Simple menu of pasta dishes cooked to perfection. Be nice to have a salad option as a side. Lost a star for the profiteroles. Over sweet soggy mess drowned in white creamy topping.

Ok so very honest review: My friends and I came here for a meal on a Wednesday night and I will 100% be back; the pasta is amazing but we did have a lot of issues with the service which is as a shame - but not enough to stop me coming or more pasta! Cons: 1. We arrived on time for our reservation but the table wasn’t ready but the waitress very quickly cleaned it for us. However, she forgot cutlery which we had to ask for after our mains arrived. Even then, there were only 2 napkins for the 3 of us. 2. We ordered bread and olives to start but we were not supplied with a dish for oil or to put the olive stones. I’m not being picky - we saw that other tables had these and again had to ask. 3. We waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks order taken and another 15 or so for food order. Pros: 1. A lovely selection of wines and the Prosecco measures are absolutely massive! 2. The pasta was To. Die. For. I would have it every night if I could. 3. Although there were some issues with the service, the two waitresses on that night were incredibly friendly and helpful - my friend has a serious onion allergy and one waitress made sure to check every dish so she could choose safely. To be fair to the waitresses, the restaurant was packed (maybe 40 covers?) and there were only two of them and they also had to serve drinks from the bar. The restaurant has a lovely cosy family atmosphere and I am still dreaming about the pasta. I think it would just be better to have a few more staff on!

Love this place! Food is fantastic - Roast chicken pasta is my favourite. It's a family run place and they really know how to look after their diners.

Great little place, atmosphere was good and service pretty quick. We had a lovely bottle of wine and the pasta itself was nice and fresh. The only let down was I got the beef ragu dish, and it was very salty which made it difficult to finish. I'm sure if this wasn't the case though it would have been a really amazing dish. The other dish My partner got was lovely (something with walnuts). Overall, would be happy to recommend for good, fresh pasta.

I love pasta, Italy and fine wine…. We have been to Te Seba twice now and the food is delicious - yes, really really flavourful. Within the top 5 Italian food places around in my opinion. I like the concept too of a small menu and they do it good - in a great location just off Thornwood which is a vibrant area and especially close to the subway. I feel 4 stars is fair - having arrived for our meal at 8 we waited until around 9 for our table. The visit before we also waited quite a while for our table. There’s no waiting area so we went to a local pub for a while (not all bad). I appreciate it’s not a full rock and roll place and part of the appeal is that it’s the intimate, small and family run restaurant providing exceptional quality. However the allocation to each cover needs to change to keep the punters happy.. it doesn’t go un-noticed the staff run around mad too. I wish you all the best and will return though*.

We loved our meal here! Very fresh pasta, bread was warm when it arrived and the drinks were also yummy. Left completely satisfied nothing that could’ve made it better. Highly recommend 😊😊

Fourth or fifth time being here. Always order the slow cooked beef ragu and keep expecting that it won’t hold up to my unrealistic expectations… it does!

Visited with friends in January 2024 after a recommendation in December. Easy to give 5/5 rating. Starters were fantastic and reasonably priced. Main pasta courses were as good as I’ve had. Service was great - not overly intrusive. I will be back and I will recommend. Excellent.

Amaziiiing pasta. So so good. Perfectly al dente and the sauce was perfect. Staff were so lovely and friendly. Only tiny thing was the light in their kitchen/behind the bar kept switching on and off throughout the evening, which was a bit distracting. But apart from that 10/10.

This is a nice affordable restaurant if you have no dietary restrictions. However they stopped offering gluten free pasta therefore if you are gluten free you will not be able to eat at this venue! Not inclusive & unfortuate as I loved eating here

Arguably the best pasta dish I have ever tasted.

Loved my dinner here - had the slow cooked beef ragù pappardelle. The sauce was delicious and it was very filling (the dish was much larger than the pasta my friends ordered, they both got the garlic, chilli, evoo and cherry tom with prawns). Shared some chips on the side which were also really good. Staff were friendly and it was warm inside which was great for a cold evening. Would return!

This place is seriously good. A lovely fancy feel to it, but at a good price. The leek and mushroom creamy pasta is so good.

Lovely wee place with fantastic quality food and drinks, kind staff and a lovely atmosphere

We visited on a busy weekend night and the staff on were very friendly and efficient given how busy it was with the restaurant being full. We didn’t have to wait to be seated and weren’t waiting long to order at all. Ordered three courses each and all came without much waiting. The slow cooked beef ragu was lovely; really creamy sauce and the beef was fantastic. Highly rate the desserts too, would love some cream or something similar with the tart but it was lovely anyway. Would visit again and recommend.

Pasta was pretty good, unclear if it's made in-house though. Main issue was how long it took - a good 30 mins plus for the pasta to arrive. It's a straightforward menu and for pasta most of the components should be ready. If I was craving really good fresh pasta (not to mention cheaper), I would go to Sugo in town. But for the general vibe and for a glass of wine with fairly decent pasta, this place does the job quite well.

Booked for a quick meal prior to a gig at Kelvingrove bandstand. Inspired choice!! Had the Papardelle slow cooked beef ragu. Utterly outstanding, perfection on a plate. We had a party of four and all 4 loved their meal. Service was great, clear that everyone working there was proud of what they were doing and happy to be there. The price was a steal to be honest, have paid twice as much for food half as good! Will definitely be back, well done!

Such a shame. The food was amazing. The small menu meant that all of the dishes were obviously well thought out and they’d mastered them. The service was not good however. I was on crutches at the time and we arrived for our table and had to wait 35 minutes past our booking time to even be seated. Once seated we ordered within 20 minutes. We ordered 2 pastas and a portion of chips to share with the pasta. After 30 minutes a bowl of chips arrived and the pasta didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes…. We ended up sitting there eating a bowl of chips between us as if it were a starter. I’m gutted because our experience completely put me off returning but I really would have loved to come back for the pasta

Great pasta, good portion size and really nice staff

A good choice to get some amazing pasta dishes. I have had a variety of the pasta dishes throughout several visits and each time they have hit the mark. The only downside is that the wait from ordering to receiving food has always been very long for me.

We came here for pasta and prosecco and that is exactly what we got! The pasta is probably the best I've had in Glasgow, and the different prosecco options were delightful as well! Our food was served very quickly, and the staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would defo go again!

This is honestly the best pasta I’ve ever had !!! Me and my partner came here last week and both pasta dishes were delicious, also had a really nice red wine to go with. Prices were really reasonable, especially for such a nice location in the west end. The service was attentive, quick and welcoming, can’t wait to go back :))

Apparently bank card machine not working, wasn’t told untill finished meal . Surrounding cash machines not giving cash partner had to leave me sitting and go to working cash machine over 20 minutes away. Would not accept bank transfer asked both waitress (who was lovely) and owner. Shame as girl serving us was so lovely and loved her recommendations for meal she went above and beyond and when she asked the owner about transfer she said no rudely in plain sight.

Last night was our first visit to Te Seba and it certainly will not be our last. The best pasta we have had in Glasgow and definitely somewhere that we will be recommending going forwards. Special mention also to the bread which is fantastic and served warm straight out the oven.

The food was pretty good, the Service Girl was kind and cute. Our only problem was that we got kicked out because they wanted to sit the next guests. We ordered 4 extra drinks after we finished with dinner and when we would like to order one more round they said no explaining that they need the table in 10minutes.

One of many gems in West Glasgow. Understated yet so charming little place. If you're a prosecco lover you'll find any possible combination there....plus...pretty limited menu of pasta dishes meaning everything is freshly cooked to your order. AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Had a parpadelle beef ragu. Divine. Full of flavour. Very generous portions with lashings of parmesan. Fab wall decor, fittings and furnishings. Highly recommended. Plus competitively priced. Try it for yourself!

The best place to have pasta in Glasgow. I had the beef ragu which was exceptional. The prices are amazing for how high quality the dishes are. Quite a small menu that may be the reason each dish is so special. This place is a must if you are looking for delightful food in a very intelligent setting.

We have only recently discovered te Seba and it has now became our regular go to place for pasta. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and it's the best pasta I've tasted in Glasgow. The beef ragu and sausage dish are both superb.

I have always had amazing meals at te Seba - it was a personal favourite when I lived in Glasgow! The restaurant has a very cosy atmosphere that feels welcoming and relaxed, with the staff all being friendly. Pasta at te Seba is the best pasta I have had from any restaurant, without question. Whenever I went, the quality was consistently excellent and was nice and filling. It is reasonably priced too - meals are affordable and more than worth the price. All in all, one of the best restaurants I have been to. There is nothing to fault it on, every aspect of the food, drink, service, and environment is great. Highly recommended!

This is the third time we have been to Te Seba and it doesn't disappoint. The pasta is amazing, so so good! We both got the slow cooked beef ragu and it was delicious. Also got the bread and oil, portion was huge and it was very tasty. Service was also great and there was a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Visited here this evening and had a pleasant enough meal, the atmosphere and general layout of the restaurant is nice. The attitude from the guy serving us was absolutely deplorable, to the point I wondered why he works in the service industry. Blatantly lied to our face when we asked where our nibbles to have with our drinks were, 15 minutes after ordering them. He said they were on the way, but clearly had forgotten them. This was after forgetting our drinks, which we had already waited 15 minutes for, before having to ask again. The generally huffing and puffing, and the way he spoke with us was as poor as I’ve experienced in a long time. To the point I’d never return here. If you forget food or drinks, just offer a small apology and say it’ll be with you shortly. Don’t lie and try pretend otherwise. For a small restaurant serving 10 tables (mostly couples) then there is no real excuse when you have 3 staff serving. The food was nice, without being amazing. Spoiled by the attitude of a waiter trying to act like a bit of an alpha.

Hands down the best Ragu I’ve ever tasted!! My wife also had the Pappardelle aubergine, tomato and basil and she was blown away! The owner also chucked in a bowl of profiteroles (free of charge) as it was my birthday and these were equally as good as the mains!!! We’ll be back and we’ll definitely spread the word!

Had heard about the pasta here and went for an early dinner. It was SO GOOD! By far, the best pasta I've had in a really long time. Perfect texture, perfectly cooked, deeply seasoned and I left wanting for nothing. Lovely service, lovely wine, stylish and casual at the same time with the perfect lowkey-ambient vibe. I wish this family the biggest of congrats to what they have achieved here, and the very best of luck to keep going. I can't wait to go back! Really reasonably priced too! I love it when a place gets everything SO right! Please open one in Southside, we need you!

Truly outstanding pasta and deceivingly large portions.

Bread (with olives) was great. Pasta was very good. They need more waitstaff - I think we had just two for a Friday night and it was sometimes hard to get their attention.

Love this place - menu is small with simple, good quality pasta dishes. Service is always really friendly, good ambience most times I've been in, and the food is always really tasty.

Lovely pasta, but they didn’t leave the Parmesan at the table and I would have loved some more. Make sure to ask whether the bread in “bread+oil” is plain or has olives in the dough, without them it’s not worth it.

What more can you expect from pasta? This goes toe to toe with any type of cuisine, something pasta has no right to do.

A small hidden gem by the Great Western Road in Glasgow. Had a really nice ambience, just the right place to have a good conversation with a group of friends. Food was amazing! Fries were made perfectly , fresh and really crunchy just the way I like it!

Had a fantastic meal, food is amazing, love the simple dishes and that there isn't a huge menu, means they have clearly mastered everything they make! There was 4 of us, each got something different and all dishes were great! Wine and prosecco were both great, atmosphere was perfect and service was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!
