The excellent place in Leeds to eat Greek food. Very friendly staff, the dishes were brought quickly and were cooked perfectly. This is definitely a place where I want to come again.

Fantastic traditional Greek restaurant. Kind and friendly staff. The food and the atmosphere made for a real authentic and homely experience - feels like I was transported to a Greek grandma's kitchen :)

Food was really good, service was excellent, and we throughly enjoyed our time here. Things to consider: we were a party of 8 and felt a little cramped and there is only one toilet.

Went to Tavernaki for my mums birthday. Never been but would definitely go back. The food was excellent - MK the chef was excellent and came out to wish my mum happy birthday which really made the experience. Recommend the salads and all the starters - we had most of them and they were super fresh and delicious. Our server Fin was lovely and super friendly, made the whole experience even better. Would really recommend if you’re looking for a little Greek restaurant that does great food. Thank you

We ate here before a gig and were so pleased that we chose this restaurant. The food was delicious and staff welcoming and friendly. Plus it is a lovely setting to dine.

The starters we had were all out of a can. If they were cheaper, I'd be expecting it, but for the price, it's a bit cheeky. The main was boring overall and a bit strange. Service was poor and had to wait quite a bit of time for the main. Music could be a bit quieter. I was expecting more based on other reviews but it isn't that good. I went here with a friend on Friday evening (early) because our usual place was closed. So glad we did because the restaurant had really friendly, helpful service and great food. We needed to be in an out in one hour and the team made it happen without feeling rushed. I can definitely recommend the moussaka and the chicken soulvaki, generous portion sizes, and the meat is all Halal, too. It was quiet when we were there but I can imagine it'd be a good when full too, and not feel too busy.

Went in early, 7pm on a Friday night and it there were a few tables taken. By the time we left it was more or less full. Service was excellent and food good quality and reasonably priced.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tavernaki Bistro with bunch of close friends and I must say, it was a culinary journey straight to the heart of Greece! The atmosphere is cozy, with a touch of Mediterranean charm. The decor, featuring traditional Greek elements. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece! The ‘souvlaki’ was grilled to perfection, and The fresh ingredients and authentic flavors really stood out. We also tried the ‘calamari’ ‘greek salad’ ‘hummus’ ‘fasolada’ ‘tzatziki’ ‘kolokithokeftedes’ ‘chicken souvlaki all dishes were delicious. The service was impeccable and the waiters so polite. I highly recommend trying their ‘ouzo’ for a true taste of Greece. Tavernaki Bistro is a gem of a restaurant that delivers an authentic Greek dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit.

The vibes here are great. Nice taverna music playing in the background and relatively busy given the time of day - makes you feel cheerful. I tried the seabass. I thought the seasoning was really nice. The rice was good, and the garlic-mayo was a nice touch. In general compared to the other stuff I spotted near the center, this was one of the better options, even though it doesn’t pop up on your map! A lot of the restaurants near the centre are chains.

Delicious fresh food, made in house, cosy atmosphere with Greek decor and friendly helpful staff. Ideal location for a pre-arena meal. Staff also helped with allergy concerns and checked/ adapted dishes for us.

A wonderful little Greek island in Leeds, like suddenly finding yourself in a Greek taverna. The staff were very nice, 100% attentive to every guests. The food arrived fast and of excellent quality. If I ever return to Leeds, this will be the first place I go to.

Definitely not greek, the atmosphere is greek along with the decor, but don't be fooled with the expensive menu portraying greek food, it truly isn't... shocking betrayal of passing off a food service as greek??? It is not that in any shape or form.... you have been warned!!!... have a wonderful eve all the same...

Fabulous early Mother’s Day treat. The waiter couldn’t do enough for us, great atmosphere and fabulous food, what more could you want! Our group are a mixture of gluten and dairy free but that didn’t really limit our options! Will definitely return! Thank you to the staff, particularly the waiter!

1.The food isn't great at all.We were rather disappointed.Especially when charging that kind of money. 2.Advertising and giving the wrong wine .The alternative as per photo was fine but that's not the point.

Very nice. Smaller place than we expected, which was lucky as we had booked a table. Sat down and looked after very well. Starters of melitzansalata and Loukaniko sausage. Enjoyed both, though the sausage was better. Moussaka for the missus and beef stifado for me. And a greek salad too. All very good. Beef was tender, flavoursome and a decent portion. Moussaka was excellent, and very hot. All the way till the end. Greek salad was good. Not a huge fan of peppers in my salad, but all good. No dessert, but a coffee. Very strong. Stronger than most greek coffees she's ever had. Drinkable. Excellent service and great food will make us go back again, for sure.

Average the best. My starter calamari was definitely a bought in product (frozen) and just fried. It came with no sauce and basic salad. Main dish, lamb was ok, nothing special, tho. Disappointed. Wouldn't go back.

Very disappointed We met a family member who was visiting leeds and wanted an authentic Greek meal The meal was very disappointing The tzasiki was yogurt with a bit of something sprinkled onto it, no cucumber, no mint,no flavour this was served with burnt pitta bread The souvlaki was dry and was served with frozen chips with some seasoning on The hummus was a mixture of red pepper and hummus this wasn’t stated on the menu, it was left uneaten by a guest who doesn’t like peppers, so basically it cost £8 for a burnt pitta bread. Deserts were very pricey they had only 4 items to choose from and one of those was unavailable. The options for any dietary requirements were limited and non existent for the deserts And no children’s menu either. The staff weren’t friendly at all and we felt rushed out as they started clearing everything off the table and not even asked if we were finished with the drinks etc. I would not recommend this restaurant

Lovely intimate and well run local restaurant, with authentic scrummy Greek cuisine. As soon as we walked in through the door we knew we'd made the right decision to dine at Tavernaki. A warm welcome, which was complimented by an intimate atmosphere. The food was really tasty and decent sized portions, which was reasonably priced. Finally, the staff were friendly and attentive. When we're back in Leeds we will be back! Thank you.

Really wonderful, high quality food. Had the lamb shank with roast potatoes as a side, which were excellent, and tried the braised beef (can't remember the exact name) which was equally good. Really worth the money.

Last time I had a meal here was just before first lockdown, it was really nice.

The food and atmosphere are great. The waiter couldn't do enough for us. Had great recommendations. Greek sausage starter is amazing. Speak to the staff about the menu as it isn't printed correctly so you might order extras when it actually comes with it or has something else.
