Taksim Restaurant in Greenwich

I went as part of a large group of 15, who were visiting Greenwich from the south coast. We based our booking on the reviews posted and were not disappointed. Most of us new to Turkish food. Staff friendly. Food great. Some of us selected individual meals whilst others shared dishes. Some shared between two, some between three and others between 4. All agreed that our meals were tasty and enjoyable. Those of us sharing had more than enough to eat. Portions very ample. Despite the large number of us, all were served at the same time. No waiting around. Prices very reasonable. Service charge included. Sadly, it is unlikely that we will visit again. If the Taksim was much closer to our home town we would become regulars. Recommended.

Take away or sit in. This place the food is generous well cooked and tasty. Once eaten here I not found another kebab restaurant that has food as good and to top that the staff and owners are really friendly. Their bread is yummy

We were lucky enough to have found this restaurant! What a gem! Fantastic food, very fresh and quality ingredients. Verify flavorful, too! We were a party of six and ordered a combination of different appetizers and dishes. The quality is consistent throughout, and we can tell they are proud of the food they serve. The service was excellent and personable. Highly recommend you all check this place out! And come hungry!

Jeg hadde en sikkelig bra mat opplevelse. Jeg besøkte stedet med 2 andre. Vi bestilte 1 meny satt sammen for 3/4 personer. Maten var utsøkt, det var så god smak på maten og kjøttet var helt perfekt. Jeg kommer hit garantert igjen.

We visited Taksim tonight for dinner and were very impressed! The environment is lovely and welcoming, staff very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The food was outstanding and plenty of it too! I’d highly recommend and will definitely return next time we visit Greenwich!

Food and service is soooo disappointing!! So sad the last family sold the business, it’s run by totally different People. The quality is just NOT the same 😭 the friendly service has gone with the food food.

Excellent Turkish meal - best in London that we’ve tried! The chicken with yogurt and butter sauce was full of flavour and big portion. The chicken wings were grilled to perfection! Really enjoyed the complimentary bread, dips, salad, tea and baklava! Atmosphere and service was fantastic, it felt like going to visit a warming family home with lots of food.

Shared a kebab platter between two & burger for a teen. The lamb shish cubes were the best I've ever eaten Fantastic value. Superb presentation. Outstanding spicing. Salad, dips bread - beautiful & tasty. So much food we took some home for breakfast! I never eat donner meat & I couldn't believe how tasty it was cold, Staff incredibly friendly, happy & clearly glad to be there. The grill was busy with 4-5 staff & a couple of servers, so it must be good for local business! Spotless, well decorated, warm & comfortable.

Ordered food for collection number of times, as always staff are extremely pleasant. Excellent quality food, my favourite is grilled chicken wings meal. My preference is rice instead of chips with main meal. Meals comes with sauce and salad. Turkish beef burgers are also lovely!

This is a superb delivery restaurant and the consistency of food delivered is way above competitors. The kebabs are excellent and delivered hot in separate containers with all required sauces served in individual tubs with an assortment of breads. By far the best in this area and west of Istanbul!

In the past, under the previous management, customer service and food was really good. However, since management changed this year, service has been really poor. I went to this place on Friday to order food and I waited for 5 minutes and nobody asked me for my order, they just ignored me so I left. I will never come again to this disrespectul place and I don't recommend it.

I have eaten at Taaksim for years and have ordered via Just Eat for the past year and have never been disappointed until now. We placed our order and the app said that it had been delivered to a street about 2 minutes away from our delivery address. Just Eat contacted Taaksom on our behalf but they said that the order had been delivered. It's been over a week and we are still waiting for a refund or any acknowledgement from the restaurant. Very disappointing way to deal with long standing customers.
