Good selection of food and clean surroundings. Service was adaquate with fair attention from staff on duty. Coffee hot and tasty

Visited for Breakfast… terrible service at the desk and food fired at us at the table with parts missing.. had to walk up with plate to address the issue.

We had the choice to attend here or Costa or M&S for our afternoon tea & coffee break. Unfortunately we choose Synge & Bryne. While the food & drinks was fair, at 3.30pm the staff were vacuuming around the customers and there was the most annoying sound of the whining vacuuming going on constantly around customers trying to relax. I went up & advised staff of the annoyance & I was greeted with members of staff who tried to justify their actions and were very rude, including the management. They continued to vacuum, turned it off briefly & then turned it back on again. The experience was so unrelaxing, but more upsetting was the complete disregard for how the customer felt. No apology was offered & the staff, including management were intent on justifying their actions. Very poor customer service, we will not return.

Very poor quality food , dirty tables, trays left sitting and when removed tables not cleaned. Extremely disappointing.Will not return.Are the owners even acknowledging reviews?

Ordered on Just Eat, and genuinely have never waited for over an hour and a half on a sandwich. I rang the restaurant and had a very rude member of staff over speak and not allow me to get a word in edge words. I tried to explain the situation and said cancel the order to which I was told to go back to just eat, who had sent me to them. The staff member got more and more loud not letting me speak. I am Autistic and had a meltdown for the way I was being spoken too as it was like being yelled at by a teacher, who do these people think they are? I would not order from this place again if you paid me. To be screamed at down the phone and not given any time to speak just s creaming angry staff member was disgraceful. I have never had a meltodwn like that before triggered by a rude, uncaring cheeky member of staff. stay clear. And to those working there, learn customer service

Toilets filthy and food overpriced and average - ingredients didn’t match the advertised meal for smashed avocado - had a poor experience here previously and relented - but never again

this morning sat i met some of my family for breakfast in your resterant...what a horrible experience....the GYM PATRONS took uo 3 large tables against the wall from 10 45 am...they created noise anxiety stress and they did not control thier children...the children were trying to get out of locked exit doors ...running in and out of toilets ....squeling shouting and were very very uncontrolable...if you check your interoior cameras you will see 3 of them standing danceing on furniture beside windows that look on to carpark....we go regular to your resterant....i would ask you to BARR THESE SO CALLED PATRONS...AS they lower the tone of the whole place...they all parents and kids very very loud and noisey....next time we will flim the whole episode and forward it onto your headquaters.....do not ta and dont say i am soory...that does not work....ban theses people do not take this complaint lightly...the least you can do is bann children under 8 years of age...and put up signs for to be quiet;....if this falls on deaf ears i will take it further....

Food is just ok. A bit bland and not very exciting. Expected it to be a bit better. Staff were pleasant. Price wise ok. Probably give it a miss next time.

Hygiene rating of 3 stars. Should be 1 star. Tables always cluttered glasses and cutlery dirty as are the tables and floors. Food was over cooked.

In our experience this place discriminates against those with non-visible disabilities, with one individual in the family left traumatised by the refusal to be served because the week before the place got our order wrong, and we were rudely treated during the experience. We were then banned the following week, upsetting the our individual again as they couldn’t understand. It is a terrible place for those that need a little more help with food due to medical conditions and the only reason we came back was because the place was close and our disabled family member did not have to travel far. Avoid

Called in here for a cup of coffee and had the best flat white I have had anywhere. It was late morning and people were coming in for lunch and the food on offer looked delicious. Will definitely go there for lunch.

Had brisket pie and salad, tasteless dish, staff was talking about wanting to go home soon, she could not wait till 4 o'clock, it was only 12.30, do not want to hear staff complaining, we all want home from work, anyway £23.00 for 2 pies and 2 small pieces of side salad, and 1 coffee, Tried and Tasted, will not be back

Having had a good experience here a couple of years ago, when in Boucher Road with a hungry friend later on a Saturday afternoon, I thought I'd make a return trip. Checked the website to ensure they would be open and was reassured to read that they were until 6pm (according to the Synge and Byrne section of the Harvey Norman website) with "gourmet sandwiches, salads and sweet treats" to be enjoyed. Synge and Byrne's own website says they're open to 5pm. We turned up a little after 4 to be told we couldn't order food. OK, well could we at least have a sausage roll or pre-made sandwich from those that were sitting on the counter in front of us. No we couldn't, they said, they were being put away into the chiller for the next day. But, i said, your website said you were still open and serving for some time yet. Oh, they said, the website is the responsibility of "someone in headquarters" and not the local branch, though the supervisor acknowledged it was inaccurate. We left disappointed. All in all it gave the impression of an outfit that really needs to get its act together - as evidenced by the many poor reviews I've now seen on TripAdvisor.

I had a lovely veggie breakfast at Synge and Byrne but was charged an extra 50p because I ordered decaf tea. I wasn't told of the extra charge when I ordered. I think this was unreasonable as this is approximately the difference in price for pack of 80 teabags

I was at this cafe two days ago and I won’t be back. I ordered a pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup and a pot of tea for two. The teapot held enough water for at least four cups but that was what we got,..water!! There was one teabag in the pot. We complained right away and the guy handed me one more teabag. I had to ask for more. He wasn’t happy. As for the pancakes. There was only two rashers of bacon for three pancakes and a miserable amount of syrup. The pancakes were burned and the worst one was hidden under the top two. I didn’t even bother to complain to the staff about that because I knew they wouldn’t care. But as I said I won’t be back. They really need to sort out the meals and sack the staff.

We have returned since the reopening after lock down and my opinion and my partner Doreen has got higher in everything in the restaurant, a great atmosphere, food is still great, some of the staff has changed but still very good and professional and as great as the previous staff, when I was there before the lock down closure there was a good member called Irene and she is still there, apart from being good at her job she has good personality, its as good as the restaurants we have been Barcelona and Canada banff.
