Got a simple chicken pakora to takeaway. Shockingly bad , I didn't even eat it . Had been reheated then reheated and possibly reheated again !!

Got a takeaway from here tonight and the daal I ordered is shockingly bad. It has the consistency and flavour of water with some chunks of garlic in it. They should be embarrassed that this even left the kitchen. The worst takeaway I’ve ever had. It was inedible.

Food in general is really tasty but is constantly let down by the garlic naan bread! The bread is very tough and not springy and the portion size is quite small. Would recommend but don’t have the garlic naan bread.

Visited this evening for a meal, has to be the worst, tasteless Indian meal I have ever had, save your hard earned money and go somewhere else, absolutely disgusting 🤢

Food was nice. South Indian garlic was lovely. Some of the staff pleasant, pricing questionable. A small can of coke is not enough for a single Jack Daniels yet I was given this for a double. It was a 1:1 ratio. Talk about rationing… it needs to be drinkable. Had to order another can for one drink. I’ll be back but price or value at least needs improved.

Possibly the worst Indian food I've ever had. The tandoori was dry and unappetizing, the nan burned, the curry overly sweet and the whole thing overpriced.

Just had a takeaway from here. I have to say the food was very dull indeed and tasteless . There was no spicy complexity I expect from a decent curry house and both the onion bhajia and meat samosas were totally tasteless. These people need some completion to buck their ideas up . Easily the worst overall restaurant i have been to — let alone Indian! Bland tasteless food served cold . Unconcerned slow staff took two hours to serve our main courses in a mostly empty restaurant. Tarka dhall had no spices and NONE of the dishes were even garnished with fresh cilantro. The chicken korma tasted SWEET! Meat paratha had pink flecks that i was told was the meat filling. The only edible entre was the saag paneer. Portions were small and ridiculously overpriced. Forgot to bring our ordered rice and yet attempted to charge us for it. Our group travels extensively internationally and we KNOW our food The chef and staff should be embarrassed serving such poor food Give this abomination a wide miss!

Easily the worst “indian” food we have ever had —with service to match Our group are world travelers who were in Scotland scotch tasting before moving on to a Mediterranean cruise — so we know our food! Tarka dhall was flavorless with no spice and fresh garnish Chicken korma was too sweet with again no spice flavor Chole ( chick peas ) —chef forgot to spice the dish??? Meat paratha had pink flecks that passed off as meat . Dry and once again , the universal flavor —NO TASTE! Service was slow —waited 2 hrs to get our main meal. Ths staff could not care less when we expressed our dissatisfaction. Their response —“write a review” As an Indian from the USA , this restaurant is an abomination and i am embarrassed that they are trying to pass off as an Indian restaurant

We ordered six different dishes for take away and they were all awful. The tikka masala was sweet, the korma didn't taste of anything and looked like blancmange, the biryani was dry, the "spicey" dishes were not spicey in the slightest and the meat used was dry. And to add insult to injury, it was super expensive.

A decent Indian restaurant in a small town

We loved the extensive menu with many dishes we've never seen or tasted before. The Kathmandu with paneer was excellent and the service was spot-on.

My wife and I had the Jaipuri chicken and it was fantastic!!

Good quality food only a few minor issues, I got the monkfish tandoori unfortunately it was slightly overcooked but the flavour was very good. I had requested a sauce come with my main however that was forgotten so there was a bit of a delay. The chicken makhani tasted very good but it wasnt a makhani! More like a passanda, murgh malai, or korma as you can see in the photo there was no tomato used. Naan and rice was delicious.

My wife and I along with our small dog had a lovely meal of Chicken Chat for starter followed by lamb Bhuna and Prawn Avada with Pashwari Nan and another bread. All dishes were lovely. Will definitely be back!

We can't say anything bad about the cuisine which remains standard, and the choice is very vast, almost a little too much, you get lost. On the other hand, the service is non-existent, no draft beer, only bottles so we ask for water which we never saw coming... The waiter avoids us so as not to have to take our order again... The table next door, an Englishman who seemed to be waiting before us ended up leaving, we could see him annoyed at waiting... But all the other restaurants were full. So address to avoid. Our English isn't great, but that doesn't explain the waiter's condescension, and no cleaning of the table between each guest, that makes you want it!

Good old Scottish word. MINGING!!! 3rd take out in the last year. 3rd and last time. This must be the worst Indian restaurant in Scotland. My wife ordered a king prawn dish. King prawns had not been shelled , still had heads on and in a sause!!! Absolutely disgusting. I had a lamb dish which was meant to be medium hot. Wasn't even mild and was tasteless and greasy. Yuk yuk yuk

If I could rate lower I would, bland starters and mains. Staff could not care less about service or requests.

I ordered Tennents beer, and the snack chips and 6 different sauces were all delicious! Mutton curry and recommended seafood curry are perfect in quantity and taste🩷

Food was above average Indian, service initially quick but then very slow. Quite expensive

Saw it as we walked past on our way to our accommodation. Does not look great from the outside but our servers were courteous and professional. The menu is very large and set out in a such a way that you can tailor any dish to exactly how you would prefer it. All our mains, rice and nans were delicious and good to see a wide range of veggie options

Staff friendly, food excellent, price/quality okay, no music, therefore no atmosphere, still recommended to eat there. Pick up is also possible

Fantastic meal Decided to go for a family meal celebrating the last evening of our holiday. A really friendly welcome for our party of 8 spanning 3 generations. The menu was extensive with a selection of special dishes plus your well known ones . Starters came and we were not disappointed ,even the fussiest eater complimenting the food . Mains arrived and again beautiful tasting - the hottest vindaloo my husband has ever had ( he's eaten alot over the years ) and Biryani's enjoyed but the younger ones . Would highly recommend the tandoori mixed Balti,enough for 2 to share . We had a great meal and it really does deserve 5/5 .A must visit if staying in Grantown.

We ordered a naan bread, and it took 30 minutes and the naan bread was soggy. Won’t be going there again.

We've used this place over the past few years. Tonight's takeout meal was dreadful and by far the worst we've had. Both curries were inadequately spiced. The Punjabi masala was described as medium but was very bland. The Rogan Josh (described as fairly hot) was just like a stew. The naan breads were supermarket standard and pretty tasteless.

Me and my partner looking forward to a nice Indian take away after a heavy day of snowboarding all day. Got chicken tikka masala which was the most salty curry we have ever had, it was like someone put a whole tub of salt in it , it was that bad! Had one bite and had to put it in the bin it was so terrible, then had to go out and get a fish and chips takeaway. So disappointing and such a waste of money. Would not recommend!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit. Staff were very attentive and the service was first class. Good choice on the menu and the meals were faultless. Definitely call again without doubt

We live locally and haven’t been here for a while. Tonight we had a lovely meal. It was well cooked and fresh. The staff were new and really lovely. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We have eaten here a few times since 2019 or even taken it home with us. The food is always top. The service can be a bit harsh at times, but we've never had a problem so far. There are also a lot of vegetarian options, I noticed, which is definitely a plus.

My husband and i are on holidsy and decided to go into the Sylhet Brasserie the staff were very attentive extremely professional our meal was extremely well cooked .we did not have long to wait the waiter came to our table to make sure everything was alright we both had chicken korma with fried rice ,and pilau rice which i would highly recommend would definitely go back if in the area again .

Ordered paneer but got given prawns which I can't eat as a vegetarian. Saw staff member write 'paneer' clearly on the ticket. Only realised when I was back at my AirBnB and opened it.

Mixed kebab starters excellent. Ch Tik Kathmandi, tasteless with a watery sauce. Almost like it was cooked by two different chefs, disappointing, because we stopped of in GoS specifically for a decent Indian meal.

Excellent indian restaurant. There are just so many different curries that picking one of them is a real challenge, when you don't know exactly how it will taste like (although the composition of all of them is well described on the menu). Little disappointment : the curry I chose was noted "medium hot" on the menu, but in reality it was rather "super mild"... If you like hot spicy stuff you must tell the waiter to make it "reaaly hot".

Very disappointing, the food was not great, the starter of Monkfish was a rip off as 3 tiny pieces of fish on the plate, and I am not even sure it was Mondfish, the salad was very poor and not fresh, the main course was tasteless, I didn't finish mine. The naan bread was about the only decent item . In general very overpriced. The restaurant itself was not particularly clean either.

Git a take away meal food was good but not the best I've ever had.

Food was average, service ok. KIds had 3 x chicken nuggets and chips as they didn't want curry. This wasn't on listed on menu. Everything ok until we got bill. We queried it as it seemed a bit high. Turns out that 3 x chicken nuggets and chips is £38.50. That is ridiculous, we were refered to menu - on which chicken nuggets/chips are not listed. After some discussion our meal was discounted by £10. Sorry, Won't be back.

Yet again, a fantastic meal, large portions and very tasty . Definitely worth a visit. We will be back for a meal next year.

Alles in allem eher mittelmäßig. Das Naan war süß. Man kann woanders deutlich besser indisch essen aber für ein Kaff irgendwo in Schottland schon ok, ist aber nicht die Großstadt. Der Service ist unfähig, die Aushilfe spricht irgendwie kein Englisch und war ziemlich aufgeschmissen.

Went here for evening meal with friends, I was still eating poppadoms, when they started to clear away for bringing main meals out, so felt like I was being rushed. The main meals were excellent and service was good. Would recommend a visit

Food was basic, this year we found it very expensive compared to last year. We visit Grantown once a year but don't think we will be back as everyone agreed that it seemed a whole lot more expensive this year for nothing special.

Does not look much from the outside but my god the food is fantastic would highly recommend.

Excellent selection of vegetarian dishes! Small vegetable options for sharing on the side. Delicious flavors. Vegetarian biryani is a must! Decent selection of beer, one code option. Large group seating.

I had an amazing experience at Sylhet Brassiere. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine!

Very good service, amazing food, friendly owner, a young local waiter who offered amazing and friendly service, the food came out very fast and it was very reasonable prices, met the head chef and he was very pleasant as well, very nice lady at the counter.

This charming curry restaurant in Grantown on Spey was excellent. The menu is authentic and so was the dinner. The owner came out to discuss the menu with us and we had a relaxed delicious dinner with excellent service from the barman as well as the staff. They have vegan and vegetarian choices

This is our local takeaway so handed them my order that I’d written at home but they wouldn’t accept called payment they insisted we go to the atm and return with cash however others after us were able to pay by card. When we challenged them about it the said we were not welcome back!! Got home and discovered we were a meal missing so had to return but we were charged for the missing meal as they insisted we had not paid for it and with no receipt we couldn’t prove anything and with the rest of our meal sat at home going cold we just paid. My husband eats the same meal but tonight it was so spicy he couldn’t even eat it! Also whilst waiting there were 2 local young lads working there that were left to their own devices serving alcoholic drinks to their tables!

First visit, ordered a takeaway tonight. I had Lamb Madras , my wife had Lamb Dupiaza. The food was full of flavour and texture, outstanding. Very good size portions. We have been eating Indian food for over 50yrs and can honestly say, One of the Best. Can't wait to return.

Group of us where up in GoS for fishing and ordered carry outs from this place. While it tasted ok the Special (mixed meats and prawn ) Biryani was all stodgy rice and very little meat, as for the prawns ive seen bigger tadpoles. Certainly...

Bloody lovely! Great size portions, very professionally cooked food served by friendly staff. The beer is a little expensive but not a surprise for restaurant dining. Can thoroughly recommend trying something new! Also the poppadoms and sauces are a must.

Restaurant was nice and warm, food was 10 out 10, very tasty curries and service was also spot on. We shall be back!!

Visited tonight with my son having not been since before covid . We had an amazing meal and the service was top class Khan was just so lovely and offered top class service as did all of the team Food was just fabulous - amazing...

Food was good, more then enough. Real English Indian food. Plastic on the table, just wat you expect of a restaurant like this. There js no pin machine, but there is an ATM next door. Toilets are were really dirty.

Prima restaurant om echt Indiaas te eten. Het is niet goedkoop voor Nederlandse begrippen. In ons geval, je moest toch wat, omdat alles vol zat of gesloten was.

Arrived in Grantown on Spey at 11pm after being on the A9 for 5.5hrs. Desperate for food we searched the high street for a takeaway. This was the only place with its lights on. These guys came to the rescue and made us a chicken korma after the kitchens had basically closed and it was delicious. Would definitely go again... Maybe not so late next time.

Refuses to take credit cards. Spicy food was not spicy.

Very pleasant meal here. The food was excellent, decent portions and very tasty. It could have usefully been served a bit hotter thermally but otherwise good. Prices on the high side compared to my London and Essex haunts but we enjoyed our meals. Many thanks!

My wife and I visited this restaurant in June and we were certainly not disappointed! We both chose dishes which we had not had before and were certainly most impressed. My wife's dish was even flamed with Sambuca in front of us - truly amazing....

The worst Indian food of my life. And the oven stopped working so we didn’t get nan bread. The owner then tried to rip us off on the bill.

Take-away. Veg curries.. veg were a little over cooked and soft, but flavours were excellent. Two different rices were very similar in taste ie Garlic rice tasted the same as veg rice. Large portions. Good popadoms. Would go there in the future.

Clean and tidy restaurant. Four of us, seasoned curry eaters, dined and all enjoyed both starters and mains. Excellent menu, with a few dishes new to us. The service was perfunctory but adequate and will be returning.

Up here a week with work and ate here on last night. It was the best food we came across on the trip. Good food and generous portions.
