This small Tunisian cafe is tucked away in Leeds market, but definitely worth seeking out. It does fantastic food, and is great value. I eat here at least once a week.

Tucked away in Leeds Market, away from the main food hall, this small Tunisian cafe, with only 3 tables, is a real hidden gem. While hidden, plenty know it's secret though, and it is justifiably popular. The food is unique in Leeds, so far as I know, and the menu is packed with delights for all diets. I dine here at least once a week, and never tire of the excellent, fresh, healthy, food. Being vegan, I usually have a the falafel plate, a varied mezze of Tunisian dishes, which comes with delicious, freshly-baked bread. The mint tea is particularly good, and makes the perfect accompaniment. Be sure to try the freshly-made harrissa, which is as good as you'll find anywhere. Friendly service, and incredible prices. Cash or card, but please pay cash if you can.

I have frequented Sweet Saeeda for a few years now and always come away hapy. The food is delicious and the owner is so friendly. The salads and dips that come with the plate are a flavour explosion. The bread is cooked to order and is superb . I can’t recommend this place enough.

Revisited Sweet Saeeda over the weekend with friends & ordered 2 ojjas (1 with chicken & 1 with merguez as sadly, no prawns were available) as well as a falafel plate. Our friends ordered a falafel plate to share. The Tunisian soup was unfortunately not available. They really enjoyed what they had, esp the freshly-baked bread. The ojja was as delicious as we remembered it but one portion seemed smaller than the other. The stew was piping hot, spicy & flavourful. Really delicious and the fresh bread on the side was very welcome. It was perfect for the cold weather. The falafel plate was full of interesting dishes, but the falafels themselves were a bit dense & weren't among the best falafels we have had. We really liked the chilli on the side. Our friends were given some free tea at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. A very popular stall, for good reason. When we were there, there was a steady flow of customers dining in & taking out. Hope to return again for more ojja & to try other dishes!

I have been getting that 10/10 scran for lunch from here for some time now, and it has never once missed the mark. I always get the tunisian plate - the meat always tastes incredible, all the salads are fresh and flavoursome and the home made bread is the best. The owner is always friendly and the fact you can sit-in on the tables out the front and eat it off a proper plate adds to its greatness. This is my go-to for meeting friends for lunch and cant recommend it more

Nothing sweet, the food was cold and over seasoned. Only thing I enjoyed was the starters I ordered

We had seen some posts on Twitter about Sweet Saeeda & couldn't understand how we missed it when we were last at Kirkgate, so made a point to revisit & find it! It wasn't too busy when we went & the array of salads & dishes on display was dazzling. We ordered ojja with chicken, a Tunisian plate with lamb, a tuna bric, as well as a tajine. We also got a cup of mint tea. Two small loaves of freshly baked bread were served with the Tunisian plate & ojja. Everything came up to around £20. The ojja & bric were made fresh so there was a bit of a wait. The Tunisian plate was bursting with flavours - there were a range of salads, with beans, pulses, etc & everything was well seasoned. The chilli paste, harissa, on the side, was very welcome. The ojja was like shakshouka & was perfect for the cool weather. We loved the spiciness! It was a generous portion & there was quite alot of chicken for a dish which cost £6. The bric was thin & crisp & the filling of tuna, capers, olives, etc was very tasty. The tajine was like a Spanish omelette & the addition of chilli on the side elevated the flavours. The food was presented beautifully, on lovely crockery, and were a taste sensation! Our first taste of Tunisian food but it won't be the last! Sweet Saeeda is absolutely amazing & defo recommended!!

Tucked away in Leeds market, on an aisle behind the main food hall, this Tunisian cafe serves up really tasty, great value food, and caters to all diets. While there are plenty of good Middle Eastern eateries in Leeds, the food here is a little different, and everything has a Tunisian twist. Several nice, spicy dishes too. Bread is baked, fresh, in front of your eyes, and all the food is fresh and delicious. Really great, friendly service too.

What a great place to eat. I love food and am a bit spoilt for choice at Leeds Market (they're all pretty good!) but, for lunch, this place keeps being the one I go to. Delicious food, freshly prepared that day by the one-man show that runs it. A real plus is the Tunisian bread that he makes himself and bakes as he goes though the day. Amazing value for money - and he is charming and unflappable while he delivers all this. Not to be missed!

This is by far the best food in Leeds Kirkgate Market, and that is saying something considering the exceptional choice. The gentlemen that runs the place is also very friendly, and I enjoy chatting with him whilst he preps orders. I tend to go once a week, with the choice good and extremely affordable. I HIGHLY recommend the Tunisian Ojja, which I have with chicken - but I'm sure there are Veggie options. Just as a word of advice, it gets busy very quickly after 12pm hits, and it is also cash only - but there are two cash machines within a 30 second walk of the shop.

Stumbled across this small cafe inside Kirkgate market and a customer queuing outside recommended I try it - I’m so glad I listened to her . Really tasty wraps made using fresh Turkish bread and stuffed full of fresh ingredients and sauces to the customers individual requirements . Excellent value and friendly service . A real find for foodies as this is far superior to the usual lunchtime fayre available in Leeds .
