Highly won’t recommend. I ordered for first time 3 Lamb mahichieh they sent me 3 lamb neck I call them they didn’t accept there fault and rude over the phone. I won’t order any more

If you want the real Afghan experience then this is the place you're looking for. Everything ranging from the atmosphere to the amazing tasting authentic flavourful afghan food. The staff were very helpful and kind too. I would recommend this especially for families as this is a family orientated place for that true Afghan experience. I'm really looking forward to come again.

Authentic Afghan food! Ordered the mix grill platter (£56) - the menus don't have the updated price so expect a different bill at the end but nevertheless, it was my first time and I will be returning again. The atmosphere was authentic and comfy (sitting on floor just like the traditional way). 5/5

The food was no nice and they don’t know how to make Kabuli pulao and very rude stuff and lazy stuff I go from Bradford because I was very excited to eat my traditional food but I was very disappointed I never go again to this place

Food was good. Service was very poor. Waited around 15 min after bell but no one showed up, then from one of us took karahi downstairs...... restaurant was not busy at all from our arrival till we left. Need better service

Chopan is one of the kind place to eat and relax. 10 out of 10 !! The food is melting in mouth, so tasty , very well presented also. Service is really good, sometimes we need to wait a little bit longer but this place is always super busy and the staff is trying their best. I can't recommend it enough 👌👌👌

Great taste, fresh food. If you want something healthy and freshly cooked food in a reasonable price. Then you need to visit Chopan.

Absolutely fantastic food and pricing is very decent for the amount of food you get. It's family friendly place. Afghani rice had the authentic spices and had a good portion. Karahi were also fresh and delicious in taste. I highly recommend this place.

Kabuli pilau is 9.7 /10 . Only issue is they charge more than what the cheap flyer menu shows. Might be an issue for trading standards?

If you request them something. They will mumble in afghani language with each other with their colleagues and even then does not fulfil the required request and completely ignore you what you have requested, just like yesterday some idiot at the reception did. And in the end mock with a sarcasm expression. Need alot of training like how to talk and act !!!! I can use extreme language here but that will make me 1 of your staff who has zero training and zero grooming from their own parents !!!

Smelly kebabs as usual, 1/10 not fully cooked and was not even round shape. Simply pathetic, i guess they have trainees who are doing cooking. Chicken karahi is also very very poor now 1/10 my child can cook better than these people. If you want pure chapli kebab with consistent quality and no smell then hands down to Abaseen in Bradford. Go there and avoid Chipans smelly and undercooked Chapli kebabs. Abaseen bradford just go there and avoid this.

I have been regular customer for a few years. Quality of food and taste has deteriorate within last one year. This is after multiple visits with in last two months. I am reluctant to visit again.

This has become our meet up place for family and friends. The place is very traditional loved it. Prices are reasonable too. Will surely be visiting again

Amazing everything apart from accepting cash payment which is horrendous as they ask me to transfer money to their business account. Blimey

We went last time everything was perfect, food was very nice, staff was very friendly and so was the atmosphere very peaceful and relaxing. However thus time when we went we were all so excited to go again,but I think the staff and management had changed so everything had changed. The food wasn't even so nice and the staff was so rude even the seating wasn't clean. Waste of time and money. Would recommend to anyone horrendous experience.

This is by far my favourite restaurant in leeds. Always amazing food, fair price, great service and lovely seating area upstairs. I’ve lived in harehills for five years and I always bring friends here when they visit! Highly recommend.

Visited this restaurant recently, and I must say their Qubuli Pulao, chicken karay afghani and Koobideh Kebabs are nothing short of perfection. Delicious!

This place is 10/10 get the lamb Karahi !

Outstanding restaurant, friendly staff, authentic cuisine that wouldn't be out of place in the typical south Asian household. In my opinion, probably the best restaurant in Leeds if you like south Asian cuisine. Delicious.

This place has become one of my favorite . I tried their afghani chicken karahi before with naan . Bt this time i tried with thei qabuli rice nd it was delicious . Rice was soo flavourful.Their chicken tikka kabab was also top notch. This was my 2nd time there. Definitely going again.

Got the famous platter, its was brilliant, unfortunately due to the restaurant being busy we were unable to find seating upstairs but managed to find seating downstairs - Back to the food, the meats were fresh and seasoned to perfection, the rice was silky - it all went down a treat - definately recommend to everyone

The restaurant has become bad, racist towards Gulf citizens, and intentionally cheats. Mixing low-quality meat with high-quality meat, resulting in poor taste. Insufficient rice portion. Ordered skewers, but unfortunately they were not available. When discussed with them, they admitted their shortcomings. This is their current situation."

I had to write this review, because I have been a regular customer to this restaurant but the service getting worse day by day. The quality of meat has changed completely, not the same as before. I tried to give a lot of opportunities to improve, but after what happened today of negative reactions and small amounts of food. I spoke to the service provider, and he didn’t respond, as if he didn’t care, which forced me to write this review.

Great taste but service was not good. Evertime I visited I have to go downstairs if I need anything. Overall great sitting area and good taste.

Terrible Service and rude staff

Their mixed grill is absolutely awesome. We usually order takeaway and it never disappoints. One of the best grilled meat I've ever had. Went with friends to the restaurant, service was OK but they were very busy and it was only a Wednesday evening. Seating is traditional South Asian, sit on the floor with a little raised table, this is not to everyone's liking. One thing that never disappoints is their food absolutely spot on. We also got Lamb mandi dish, very good. Friends weren't from Leeds and they were very impressed. Cash only, immediate chaspoint charge for withdrawal.

This is the 10th time we ate at Chopwn & all praise to God , the experience was as usual amazing, Food Quality was good however quantity was a little less specially the soup

Zero service literally during eating i go two times downstairs to get water and food for me. Only plao is value for money all other food is just waste of health and wealth. Not recommended at all.

Overpriced. Tiny portion still felt hungry after. Wouldn't recommend. Shahi Nan over the road is way better.

My favourite restaurant in Leeds. Great and authentic Afghani food. Ordered a Qubali Pullow for £11 (Cash Only) and they gave me so much food. Its was delicious. Thank you.

Dnt order the lamb karahi full of bones and fat no meat

Food is great and dining in has never been a problem. However if you order online you will be charged a silly amount on delivery to bump it up to minimum £20. This is not stated clearly on the website nor on the receipt so be mindful when ordering unless your order meets the minimum £20 spend which isn’t clearly stated!

Last week I went to this restaurant with my visitors. We were very happy about foods ,service and prices as well . 🙏🏾

Food is okay not the best but if u compare other local takeaways it's good .. there is no service at all u have to give 10 shouts to call somebody for water or anything else u need .sitting area is okay . They are charging 20% more then menu prices saying prices gone up.. they should update menu as well as one who is eating should know how much they are spending before going on counter to pay bill.

This is a small restaurant, far from hygiene and cleanliness. Food was okay, Afghan pilao was tasteless but Chapli kebabs were exceptionally good, must try. Will I go again? Probably not.

Courteous and friendly staff, very reasonable prices, excellent taste, kabuli mahiche (pulao), chapli kebab are very good. Their karrahi dishes (lamb Mandi, chicken and lamb karrahi) are good as well but on one occasion it was too salty. Recommend to anyone who is looking for Afghani / desi food

Freshly served great tasting food. Really enjoyed their warm bowl of soup. Food is appropriately priced.

We went here after many recommendations and it did not disappoint. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was amazing. You have to try the qabuli pulao and chapli kebab. Also they had a floor seating arrangement upstairs which felt more authentic and added to the experience.

Bought four boxes of there Afghani rice and was told after we had paid that there was no meat in it. which meant it was just four small boxes of plain rice for £18.50 super disappointing.

Disgusting behaviour from the staff. I arrived with friends last night at around 10 and we weren’t served our order until a little after 10:30 which is understandable, however, whilst my friends and I were talking, we were rudely asked to leave. I politely explained to the gentleman that if they were closing at 11:00 they should have informed us and we wouldn’t have ordered as much as we did, however, they were happy to take our order but then didn’t feel bad asking us to leave before we had finished. Then to put the icing on the cake when we went to pay the bill, we were told that the prices on the menu are ‘2019’ prices and apparently we were supposed to ask the waiter for the new prices of each item that we ordered. Under the Trade Description Act 2003 restaurants must display the price of food and displaying incorrect prices is an offence under the Act. They were persistent that every other order they had on the same day was fine and we were the only group making an issue about their misleading prices and the owner/manager stood and argued for nearly 30 minutes but wouldn’t admit he was wrong.

Came out 5 of us ordered the full platter with rice and a lamb curry. The platter was amazing the rice the meat was so succulent and flavoursome. The curry was not to my liking but overall the food the staff was bang on, it’s a must try with friends we will deffo be back at some point.

Shorba and kebab was good, Nan wasn’t cook properly and kabali pilau had. K flavour . Overall food was fresh but service is super slow and staff not very friendly.

Very authentic afghani/peshawari food. If you want authentic afghani food then this is the right place. Food was soo fresh and tasty. I ordered Kabuli pulao, chappal kabab and lamb meat. All were superb. Do not forget to order the Traditional green tea/ qahwa at the end.

The Chapli Kebabs were hands down amazing! I’ve been craving them everyday since I left this restaurant! That crunch crisp outside and juicy flavorful inside has made this one of my all time favorite dishes ! I loved the upstairs seating area.
