Sushi King in South Somerset

Lovely local sushi joint that also offers bubble tea/drinks and other freshly made hot food. The iced Matcha was really flavourful and not too sweet. The squid with wasabi sauce was made to order and perfectly cooked. The sushi was some of the best that you’ll get round the area.

Love the bobas, especially the coffee one! Workers are all so kind, and I get a boba every week almost 😅

Get the chicken katsu curry from here for lunch every now and then. Always been really tasty

I am so impressed with the incredible quality of sushi here for the price. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and I wish I had known they did delivery when I first moved to Yeovil, I feel I’ve been robbed of years of quality sushi I could’ve been ordering! I went in to grab some takeaway a week ago, and the server was so attentive, she explained they could make other things on the menu if I couldn’t find what I wanted in the take-away cabinet, let me know about delivery and their bubble tea menu and Christmas offers. I chose some inside-out salmon rolls and salmon nigiri, and chocolate mochi. What struck me the most was just how fresh and delicate the fish tasted, I am used to having to get my sushi from the Tescos Yo counter and the difference was astounding, I will only get my sushi from Sushi King now! The chocolate mochi were so rich and full tasting, absolutely delicious and my new favourite. It only took two days before I ordered my first takeaway for myself. I chose a salmon hand roll, salmon dragon roll and inside-out salmon roll plus Maki maxi set. It took me two sittings to eat it all and it arrived promptly, with a deliciously delicate homemade wasabi paste. I am so excited to have found such a gem of a restaurant!

I regularly get lunch from this place - and I've yet to be disappointed. Vegetables are always fresh and crisp. The shichimi rolls are my regular treat - but so far everything has been delicious (Teriyaki, Wasabi Squid and the Katsu). Today I tried the rainbow salmon bowl. Avocodo and mango were perfectly ripe and the salmon was simply excellent. You can find cheaper options no doubt, but for quality of food I don't think there is much close in Yeovil. Service is always polite and helpful too!

possibly the best experience I’ve had from sushi/asian food establishment! I ordered the taro milk tea; it tasted delectable and authentic! the taro puree mixed with the tapioca was made to perfection. it’s seldom to find genuine bubble tea around somerset…this is the best place to order from! the sushi was so fresh, delicious and evidently made with love. the staff are beyond giving, lovely and respectful. they were so helpful with helping us what to order; the whole place is lit up with their joyful attitudes. super hospitable, friendly and warm! i love the cultural decorations in the shop; it really adds to the experience! this is now my favourite spot to get bubble tea, sushi and other authentic Asian cuisine. 10/10! definitely coming back to try more of the different bubble tea flavours and to indulge in the wide selection of sushi!

When ordering for about £50, I didn't get any chopsticks to eat with and only two small soy sauces. The sushi was very fresh but the rolls fell apart as I ate them.

Top quality food and the portions size definitely go above and beyond the price. The staff are friendly and welcoming with great service.

Relatively good sushi, depends on what day you go. Prices are high compared to other places I have visited, especially if you're just looking to grab a snack. I love sushi but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. 4* because I have had worse:)

Cancel our orders constantly. Tried to order through just eat and on there website. Not worth the time. The food is brilliant as we have had it before. But they like to cancel orders at around 20 to 5. Almost seems like they want to close early

What a great find! Small sushi take out shop right next to Tesco, with a lovely selection and generous portions. The salmon nigiri was excellent, large pieces of salmon but soft and buttery, and I even got home made wasabi to taste. Sushi King is now officially on our weekly treat list.

Great sushi "cafe" for take outs with a wide variety of fish - a nice change from similar sushi places that only offer the usual salmon/tuna (in very variety). The octopus was lovely and a welcome surprise, as was the inari (dessert). They've looked after my father well over the years, delivering him his sashimi fix when he needs it. If you do prefer sashimi, make sure to order ahead!

Delicious, fresh sushi prepared daily. Highly recommended, my go to takeaway in town! 15 minute parking spaces outside and right next to tescos / Town High Street. Really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff who help pick things out if you aren't sure! Brilliant!!

We picked up some prawn/salmon/tuna ngiri, spicy selection, wakame chicken roll and dragon roll and it was all really good. Fresh and tasty. I never liked Supermarket Sushi, but this is head & shoulders above that. Beautifully prepared by people who know what they are doing. This is now our weekly treat.

Amazing sushi. Ive always seen advertising for Sushi king but never went. Today we got a take away of platter sharing 1 and surimi roll. Safe to say its the best and most fresh sushi I've ever had. The flavours were amazing and left me wanting more. 100% would order again. Cannot recommend enough.

I just had to come write a review!!! I came into the shop with a friend to have a little look and left with lunch for myself and my family. I bought three types of sushi plus some dumplings. The lovely lady told me how to heat the dumplings and how to make the dipping sauce to go with it. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and they appreciated our custom. They are very friendly and lovely. The food was out of this world. I’m not going to say try this or that, you need to try it ALL, as it beautiful. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for such a gorgeous tasting lunch.

This place is amazing. I told the lady that I have no idea what to get and she gave me a couple of samples. They were brilliant. I got the spicy Cali roll which was perfect. Not too spicy but not too mild. I can't wait to go back and try their curry. 😋

The sushi is very esquisite. The taste fits my mouth perfectly and i would reccomend this amazing place to everyone that loves sushi. This would be perfect to those who are travelling and their prices are amazing. A full five stars by me.

I reccomend this shop to everyone who loves sushi! The food is fab, made fresh everyday so it is full of flavour and moist. The flavours are amazing ranging from sweet to spicy and even do veg options, so a great range for all. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they answer all my questions and help me decide which ones i will like, so far every one i have been reccomended has tasted amazing and because its a takeaway its alot cheaper than i expected so great value for money.

Delicious yet very competitive price. Highly recommended! The crunchy roll and Wakame are really something you would die for.
