Ordered two amazing 1st birthday cakes for my little one. Smash cake for his photos was made exactly to order with a softer cream to really capture those smashing photos. Also ordered a birthday cake for his party, which again tasted incredible! Can't fault a thing and Surantha is so knowledgeable and such a lovely man!

Surantha makes beautiful delicious Birthday cakes. My kids loves it and so much compliments from guests. We will be back again 🥳

Afternoon tea was so fresh and tasty. Good selection of cake's and sandwich in crusty bread and a savoury croissant. Service always was brilliant with a smile. Price amazing for afternoon tea. Tried many afternoon teas. This was best by far.

Surantha’s patisserie is amazing the customer service is world class from a world class baker . I asked for a slice of Opera Cake I like he went in the back and made me a slice. Lovely friendly cosy atmosphere, lots yummy treats to choose from, the owner gave me some amazing samples to try, breakfast and lunch options too. Would highly recommend to anyone popping into Stourbridge! Definitely coming back !!

I ordered a wedding cake for my daughters wedding this June. As promised by the Owner Surantha, the cake was made beautifully and delivered in time schedule. We have plenty admiration of how tasty the cake was from our guests. As always we have our birthday cakes made by Surantha, and he never let us down. I highly recommended him as the best baker in Stourbridge.

We’ve been customers since the patisserie opened four years ago and have never been disappointed ~ the croissants are the best in the UK, and you would need to visit France to find the equal in quality. I arranged for Surantha to do the catering for my wife’s 80th birthday, with him delivering and arranging the display of sandwiches, mini cakes and the main birthday cake, and again we were very pleased - great service, quality and peace of mind knowing that Surantha would deliver a superb great tasting experience.

This patisserie is great for a drink and a cake or sweet or savoury crepe I go in once a week with my daughter or a friend,I’ve been in today and had a savoury crepe it was amazing surantha is a lovely chef who takes pride in his work would 100% recommend it .

A real cut above your average coffee shop in Stourbridge town centre all cakes and pastries on display would not be out of place in France or Switzerland All are made on the premises and look stunning I hade a chocolate croissant and a flat white coffee which was superb I had boxed up two mango and passion fruit cheesecakes to take home needless to say they were absolutely delicious The Sri Lanka proprietor is truly professional in hospitality and and the quality of his food This is a must to go for outstanding quality at really modest prices it certainly outranks Costa ten fold

It’s all been said I go pretty often since discovering him. My last friend stated his products / art crafted pastries are superior to tea at the savoy Of the Strand darlings! It’s a homey spotless Patisserie and you can have a savoury pancake/ galette - ( Cheese and ham ) this award wining little independent outlet is a joy right at the top of STOURBRIDGE High Street The usual array of coffees and crafted beauties on display all hand made by this gold medal experienced man. Had many cakes off Surantha, this time was for my parents Diamond wedding anniversary. Cake was lovely and everyone enjoyed the flavours. Was well designed and will definitely use again in the future!

Who would have believed we could find a world class patisserie in Stourbridge? The cakes here are all made by the chef on the premises. He is a nice friendly guy too. Definitely recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

They made a special cake for our Curate who was leaving today to take up a post at his own church in Kingswinford and Wall Heath Excellent cake and decoration. Exceptional value for money.

My 2 daughters each have a birthday in the same week and both share a passion for gardening and hedgehogs. For our family celebration,Surantha made a wonderful carrot cake and decorated it with the most amazing basket of sugar paste vegetables and even a hedgehog. The cake itself was moist and delicious and much appreciated by all. Thank you so much it was brilliant

Had a Red Velvet Cake made from here for my daughters 17th Birthday, I must say I was not disappointed. The cake was absolutely delicious so fresh and full of flavour and the presentation was excellent. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Than you.

A clean and spacious environment with such a warm welcome from the owner. The cakes were delicious and the best coffee we have had out for a very long time. Surantha was recommended to us and we will be sure to recommend again and again. I used Surantha during the lockdown for a birthday cake which they were also able to deliver for me.The Lady that sorted out my order was very helpful and the whole process easy .Birthday girl was very happy and I’m looking forwards to visiting the shop when I can next come to Stourbridge.

Bought a birthday cake for my wife's Birthday, (it was a very special one too). Ordered it a few days before picked it up. It looked stunning and didn't disappoint when it was cut and eaten. Would highly recommend. The shop is really a specially unassuming place; you would ormally only expect to find in a big city. If you are looking for a special occasion cake, dont hesitate to use.

This is a real hidden gem! At the top of Stourbridge high street, you wouldn’t expect this lovely patisserie. You can eat in but I chose a selection of cakes to take away. It’s bright and airy inside, plus there’s outside seating. It’s almost a shame to eat the cakes because they’re so beautiful but they’re too delicious not to! I would definitely recommend a visit!

I only found Surantha's two weeks ago but I'm so pleased that I did. It's a little oasis of delicious treats for all the family.The cakes and pastries are exquisite , made on site by an artisan confectioner and baker. Their range of desserts and refreshments is wonderful.You are literally spoilt for choice. My favourite is the strawberry milkshake and carrot cake slice. Give your taste buds a treat and visit this lovely place soon.With kind and friendly staff you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend.

First time to a nice independant coffee house since lock down. I am new to the area and found this little gem at the top of the street whilst out and aboutThe coffee was lovely but the cakes are 3ven better Staff are lovely and friendly, don't walk by go on give it a go have a nice treat and do some people watching

Have visited a few times and by far the best place in Stourbridge for cakes, waffles, crepes and drinks. The kids always say they serve the best milkshakes. Very clean and always a fabulous service. Looking forward to trying the afternoon tea. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed with the service today. The cakes and sandwiches were ok but not really suitable for children so our kids didn’t eat. Had to ask for our drinks otherwise we wouldn’t have been given any and then they were spilt and the waitress breathed all over us. A different, kind waitress apologised on the way out but will never be going back.

After a walk through the town centre, we came across this lovely little patisserie.We went in for a look to see what delights they behind the counter & ended up dining in. I ordered a slice of red velvet cake, my partner ordered pancake & my little boy ordered a waffle. The smell as they was cooking it from fresh, smelled devine. Even better as they was participating in government scheme.I enjoyed the cake so much, I ordered several different selections to take home as we was visiting after a bank holiday weekend to West Midlands Safari park. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the lady who served us but she was lovely & very helpful. It was nice to see through to the kitchen as they prepared the lovely delicacies. Very lovely establishment & very clean.Definitely worth a visit again if we come back to Stourbridge.

What a fabulous little find! Visited Wednesday 26th August & despite what has been said in a previous review I can honestly say this is a lovely place to visit. It’s clean & welcoming & busy which is a good sign! It’s certainly not chaotic - just bustling with staff working extremely hard to please especially given the current climate. I would much rather visit a place like this full of atmosphere than somewhere quiet and empty which gives all the wrong vibes. The choice of cakes is amazing and beautifully displayed. Keep up the good work - you did a great job when we visited. We look forward to returning sooner rather than later.

Hi there, We popped in at lunchtime today about 1.30 and the lady that served us was amazing. I didn’t get her name but just wanted to say how lovely and accommodating she was, we only wanted some ice creams but she made our kids feel really welcome. Thanks ever so much

Came out for a cake at Surantha’s today (26/08/20) What is normally a calm, clean, welcoming place, was today, a chaotic one. The service at the till appeared rushed and unwelcoming, and there was also a lot of mess. Surantha (the owner) who is normally here to talk through the cakes and offer great customer service was not here. The people running the place this day instead appeared very chaotic, and not capable enough of managing the cafe to Surantha’s standards.

Brought my family here having visited with my son last week. Delicious on both occasions and Surantha is such a nice chap! Thoroughly recommend.

The chocolate gateau cake was delicious, it was hard to choose! They have vegan options also and gluten free also, so something for all. Surantha was a great host, honestly one if the best patisseries out there, 100% would head into Stourbridge just for cake again - check it out if you are near by

My wife and I discovered this wonderful place about a month ago. We were met by friendly, helpful staff. The quality of their coffee is unsurpassed. Nowhere else in the locality can get close to their quality. As for any of their wonderful gateau. Well, just to look at the choices is so mouthwatering. We are gradually sampling all of their products. They all look and taste divine. You can also see into the kitchen and watch the making of cakes through a large picture window. The whole place oozes perfection.

Best patisserie I’ve been in since I last visited France 20 years ago! I’m so glad I was recommended by a friend. Afternoon teas, baby showers, hen parties. All catered for. Even our little creative writing group.

Visited Surantha Patisserie today. Definitely surpassed expectations. Had High tea for three. All was amazing, our favourites were the lemon meringue and the chocolate brownie. Clearly freshly made and full of flavour. The service was also perfect, very friendly. It’s nice to see people clearly doing what they love for a job. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Had a valentine afternoon tea after seeing the advert on facebook showing a valentine afternoon tea. See photo.The sandwiches were delicious, everything was spotlessly clean and service was good but we were given cakes not Patisserie. See photo 2 We were charged for tea and coffee on top. It was not made clear it came with only one cup. Usually afternoon/high teas come with plenty of tea or coffee but this was not the case.Really dissappointed as we had been looking forward to trying this place for a while now.Would go back but not for afternoon/high tea.

We have visited Surantha Patisserie several times and the cakes are always amazing. The difficulty is which cake to have! All the cakes are made on site with pride! You can even watch the cakes being made! The staff are friendly and welcoming and Surantha always comes out and talks to us and our daughter. So when it came to choosing someone to make a cake for our daughter’s 2nd birthday, we knew who to visit! We showed an image of a design we liked and one week later the cake was ready! The cake was beautifully decorated and tasted amazing! We went for a Victoria sponge cake with buttercream and icing. All the guests commented how delicious the cake was! Thank you so much! We will be back!

Quite where you would find better cake in town I don't know. Everything is made with passion and is presented immaculately. There would be pictures with this review but it's impossible to not just start enjoying the sumptuous delights.

Had such a lovely High Tea in November that we decided to book again for December's festive one we were not dissappointed everything was beautiful,from the presentation to the freshness and quality of the food. This will definitely be a regular treat

Spotted the amazing cakes through the window as I was walking past and couldn't resist. Had an amazing carrot cake and an Americano coffee. As it was quiet at the time, I got talking to the proprietor, Surantha, about the amazing looking sculptures that he has on display in the shop. One of them is made of sugar and the other one is made out of sour dough. You would never know this just by looking at them. It turns out that these were his entries at The Food Olympics, where they both won the Gold Medal in their various categories. The carrot cake and coffee that I had were certainly worthy of a gold medal on their own. I will certainly be returning there to sample his other amazing looking cakes.

Pleasantly surprised by the array of beautiful cakes, desserts, croissants and pastries on offer on a Sunday morning. The owner dressed in his chef whites greeted us on entering and served us our tea and desserts straight away, I chose a brûlée which he took into the kitchen to caramelise for me. Everything was exquisite. A very talented guy and delicious bakes.

High tea was absolutely delicious, so much so that I have now had five! The diet starts tomorrow.... Everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

I absolutely loved the cake I ordered for my daughters 21st birthday. It was a mirror glaze cake chocolate and raspberry with chocolate french cream. It tasted delicious and the presentation was fabulous wow !!! Thanks so much.

Visited for the high tea with 3 friends. Surantha went above and beyond to cater for our tastes avoiding ham, accommodating for vegetarians, and for non tea and coffee drinkers. Food was so fresh and the portions were very generous. Absolutely amazing cakes and pastries that are delicious. Incredible value for money and could not recommend more. Thankyou so much.

We ordered a selection of mini passion fruit and blue berry cheese cakes, mini lemon meringues. macarons and a chocolate torte for a wedding buffet. The finish was exceptional with fine detail. The price was more than reasonable for the a stylish and high quality pieces. They were all delicious.We but them in a cake cabinet with other tarts. The look was beautiful. i cannot recommend this patisserie enough. definately booking in for the afternoon tea.

Visited these High Street premises with a friend for afternoon tea. We had pre booked so within minutes of taking our seats a stand of the most beautiful cakes and scones was bought out, together with our choice of drinks. The cakes, well, they were so beautiful to look at it was a shame to eat them but when we did, wow! The taste and texture of the cakes exceeded the appearance. Delicious. Nothing was too much trouble & we will definitely be going back.

Surantha's is the named after the truly wonderful chef that owns and runs it, Surantha is the most talented Patisserie Chef and Artist his cakes and deserts are absolutely FANTASTIC!! not only that he is the loveliest person and so so friendly and truly loves to create beautiful deserts and cakes, I regularly pay Surantha's a visit to enjoy a coffee and cake, I also take my family there for the most AMAZING high tea's, I also had my fiancé's 50th Birthday cake made by Surantha from her particular favourite carrot cake and it was truly stunning to look at and to eat, I highly highly recommend a visit to Surantha's and enjoy a coffee and desert with the jolly company of Surantha himself.

We saw this place one evening, not realising it had opened up in Stourbridge, and we went back the next day to try it. We were not disappointed. We popped in here for desert and coffee. Absolutely divine. We had the carrot cake, lemon meringue and creme brulee, and then the chocolate tart, hazelnut eclair and panna cotta to go.

Stourbridge High Street has its fair share of eateries, including most of the major coffee chains, at the top, quieter end of the High Street, is Patisserie Surantha, here is an establishment quite different, spotlessly clean, light and airy, with comfortable seating and friendly staff, reminding me of a place you might find at a Mediterranean holiday resort as opposed to Stourbridge High Street.

We walked past and thought we would drop in. Glad we did. Friendly service combined with a truly mouthwatering array of handmake cakes and pastries. Waffles, crepes and gelato add to the biggest problem with this place. What to choose first. Croissant followed by a hazelnut éclair for good measure. To this we added tea and had a truly wonderful experience.

Thankfully other places we were thinking of going to were closed and Surantha caught our eye. Everything looks and tastes beautiful. Between us we tasted chocolate croissants, hazelnut eclair, chocolate opera and mango and passion fruit cheesecake. All perfect and impeccable service with a beaming smile! Get here early to get fresh croissants before they run out!

We wanted to find a cafe for a cup of tea but couldn't resis the gorgeous display of cakes and they were as delicous as they looked. The staff were friendly and the establishment was clean. Will pop in again.

Booked for an Easter treat, it was delicious- very French, excellent value, very generous- I can’t say better than that! 10/10!

We were trying to be good and were only going to look through the window but when we saw the cakes we had to go in. The owner and staff are very welcoming and we decided to go for four different cakes which were lemon meringue, choc brownie, panecotte and tiramisu which were all lovely and looked too nice to eat but we did :). The owner asked us to let him know what we thought of them as he makes them all by hand and u can tell he's proud of what he does. We don't go to Stourbridge very often but we will definitely visit again. Only downside is where it is as its further up the high street by barclays and a lot of people don't know its there but worth finding.

This wonderful new patisserie has recently opened and it is a wonderful addition to Stourbridge. The shop is clean, airy and spacious and has a viewing window into the kitchen: a fabulous touch which also displays their confidence in every aspect of their business. We tried the carrot cake and the chocolate brownie which were frankly faultless. Tea and coffee was good too and the whole visit was a pleasure. Please come here, spend your money and keep this little corner of perfection here in Stourbridge.

Just what Stourbridge needs - a great place to have coffee and gateaux. The cakes are gorgeous to look at and taste just as good. I don't like birthday cakes with icing so I'm looking forward to getting either the mixed fruit cake or mirror glazed red velvet cake for my next birthday.

A patisserie in Stourbridge! Happy days. The kitchen has a viewing area and the shop is decorated with amazing sugar sculptures made by Surantha. The cakes are beautiful! The gold-frosted hazelnut eclair is my recommendation. Use it or lose it, Stourbridge!

Surantha is a new coffee shop and patisserie at the top of Stourbridge High Street serving fabulous pasrties made on the premises, and soon, so we were told, their own speciality bread too. We read about it in a local paper so decided to pop in to see what it was like. It's small, but the coffee was good, and the cakes very good indeed. Will go back, probably a lot!
