Sunnys in Dundee City

Was not edible pizza was stone cold and was that thin was barely anything of it & chicken was hard and chewy

Order the steak pie it was not that I got it was just same steak and gravy not a pie and for £12 wasn’t worth it I will never order again try phone the restaurant niver can get to speak to anybody now I’m trying too get refund

Chicken pakora was the best I’ve had in Dundee so far would highly recommend

Great food but the collection times are Alan’s so far from the truth. Accepted with a 30 minute wait, to them get told it’s ready for collection on time and proceed to wait another 20 minutes for the order. Such a shame because this is the best Indian in the city

Delivery was late. which wasn't a great start. Food wise the onion bhaji were great, babas sauce was incredible, poppadoms were nice onion chutney was tasty. However, the curry was very poor, chicken was so dry - I only had two bits before I tapped out. The chips were also extremely soggy. overall, OK- but not good.

delivered 5 minutes early, food piping hot and excellent quality - fully flavoursome curry and the chili sauce that came with the veg pakora was absolutely banging!

Sunnys is a must visit when in Dundee! The food and service is amazing, you cannot fault it. Georgie was our waitress and she was fabulous! Always checking if we were okay and making the tastiest cocktails ever! Nothing was too much for her! We will definitely be making the 2 hour drive from Glasgow again soon!

ordered at 5pm food was to arrive between 6:30-6:50 didn't arrive until 7:20. requested update from restaurant and tried calling twice. No answer any time just rang out, food tasted ok but was cold on arrival. I dont mind waiting for food food but to wait nearly two and a half hours for mediocre food really wasn't worth it at all.

Was amazing food 10/10 best tikka masala i have had in very long time, staff and Stewart were amazing great atmosphere with a live singer she was brilliant. Over all 10s all round would 100% recommend trying here if you haven't.

pizza was bland ,kebab was weird it was sort of chinese like kebab meat in hoisin sauce ☹️

A great night using a voucher we won as a prize from winning the quiz night in January and great food, great service from Georgie.

Food was brilliant as always, great portion sizes and tasty! lovely bubbly staff, served by Stewart who was brilliant.

Excellent family meal tonight. Service was fast and attentive from Stewart. We had chicken pakoras & popadoms for a starter which were fresh and so tasty. Then a variety of mains- king prawn korma-the prawns were amazing.. North Indian garlic chilli chicken & tarka dhal with pilau rice, peshwari naan & pepperoni pizza for my grandson. Everything was fresh, hot, perfectly cooked and tasted awesome. Stewart was really helpful in suggesting portion sizing. I can highly recommend for a great tasting Indian meal. This restaurant deserves nothing but 5 stars 🌟

I ordered the finger buffet for a function in Dec 24. It was the hot finger buffet which consisted of Indian starters, pizzas and calzone. It arrived bang on time, was piping hot and went down a treat with all the guests. It was to feed 40 and there was plenty left over. Very reasonably priced and very tasty! Would definitely recommend!!

Had a great experience at Sunnys . Lamb tikka curry was excellent. Staff were very efficient, friendly and up for a laugh

Had a fantastic night at Sunnys Restaurant Dundee on Monday 9/12/24 This was our first time & Stuart & staff were so friendly making our night most enjoyable & they asked you if everything was all right & happy to help Great meals, can't fault them & will be going back.

Had our Christmas party here,had the best night,food was excellent and so was stewart and hi staff couldn't do enough for us,will defo be back🥰

Garlic nan bread was missing, first time ordering from Sunny’s so quite disappointing though the food was nice.

Ordered a party package buffet for staff Christmas party, Food arrived on time and well wrapped so everything was still hot,lassie who delivered was so friendly and helpful. Great selection of Pizzas ,onion bahjis pakoras ,chutneys , calzone just everything you'd expect for the perfect buffet. Honestly can't recommend Sunnys highly enough and I'll definitely be using them again. PS chicken pakoras best I've ever tasted!! 🥰🥰

EXTREMELY LATE!!! I ordered 6.45pm, expected it to deliver between 8.15 - 8.35pm- it’s 9.20pm and it hasn’t been delivered yet! I am furious

3 weeks ago order was over 2 hours late & rice was missing. tonight it was 3 hours & poppadoms missing. Will never use again which is a shame because food is good but service is terrible.

ordered food at 4.30 and notification saying delivery would be around 5.30 and nothing by 6.20 so called restaurant and food was already out for delivery and was delivered at 6.40. food was then cold it had been out so long. very disappointed as I really like this place. asked for money off order because it was so late and got told no as the restaurant was busier than expected.

The food was on time’ish. The food was warm and took over 90mins to be delivered. Says 45-60 mins then you order and it jumps up to 90-120. Happened multiple time now. Food is good but not worth the wait tbh

Food superb as usual but delivery deadline was 20:10 and food not delivered till 20:40 after us calling to find out if it was on its way.Not for the first time delivery late…Dont make deadlines if you can’t keep them.

Had a lovely meal tonight with my other half. We had samosa and Gobi pakora as starters. The lamb samosa was so tasty and light. Gobi pakor (cauliflower ) is the best , batter crispy and golden and baba sauce to dip , you can't beat it. We had Chicken Bhuna, Chicken Passanda Pilu rice ,chips, and a Pswari naan. It was all absolutely amazing . Full of flavour, Proper home made tradtional food. Staff were friendly, welcoming, chatty, and attentive. 10/10 all round. Would highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed .

Yet again, for the 2nd time in the last 3 orders no rice is included despite it being ordered. Tried calling the restaurant to discuss but it goes straight to a full voicemail. Unlikely to be buying from here again.

Ordered a calzone, a portion of chips and cheese and a garlic naan bread. Everything was cold not to mention that I received plain naan bread when it was supposed to be garlic naan bread, I was very disappointed and unsure if I would ever go back

I had order a pizza and chips they were great. I also ordered a chicken tikka masala and pilau rice, I had ordered this many times as it is a sweet coconut flavoured curry that I cannot find anywhere else. What I received was not the curry I was expecting ? has their been a change in recipe because it's been a couple of times now this has happened. The curry I received was okay it's just disappointing that it's not the one I'm use too.

Went in this evening to collect food with the kids and Dan was absolutely amazing with the kids and a great representation of how customer service should be done. Next time will be a sit in meal.

Consistently high quality food delivered promptly by friendly staff. Recommend you order from Sunnys, honestly can’t ever fault this restaurant. I order regularly and I’ve never been let down by either the quality of the food or the service.

3 hours late to be giving cold food really not happy. I use sunnys alot and last twice I have been really disappointed at thr fact it's been 2 hours late the first time to THREE hours this time not good atoll

Absolutely amazing food again. One of the few places in Dundee that offer great freshly cooked curries. Also huge thanks to the manager Stuart for keeping us full of laughs, he sure makes it that bit more extra and homely. Fantastic for a family night out.

To be fair when queried delivery time Restaurant provided prompt and accurate delivery update.

Wrong curry delivered. Did not receive my North Indian garlic chilli chicken. Got a bhuna instead but after waiting 90 minutes ate it anyway

Ordered the noon bhajis, chicken tikka bhuna. Bhajis were overcooked on the outside and undercooked inside. The Bhuna was bland and did not resemble any bhuna I have ever had, either in flavour or texture. All in all extremely disappointing.

Been buying fantastic meals from the restaurant for the last 18 months or so, never a problem. Had friends in so placed an order, delivery was bang on time but sadly the order delivered didn't have the rice we'd ordered. Totally spoilt our meal. Called restaurant and options were a} rice would be sent out but would be some time b} 15% of next order {if we order again} with the promise that our receipt would be behind the bar and we'd have to call rather than use the Just Eat App. #Disappointed

Cold calzone and cold soggy chips...🫣

Have had food numerous times from Sunny's. Friends were at caravan site in Monifieth so we met them and suggested takeaway for dinner. Had to he a delivery as none of us had a car with us. Order made. Now this wasn't a small order. Almost £60 worth of food. They advised it would be 1-1.5 hours. After 1.5 hours had passed we called to he told it was out with the driver. Knowing it is around 15 minutes to get from restaurant to us and order was already with driver we waited. Another 30 minutes passed so we called back to be told order was just leaving the restaurant now. 2 hours have passed since we ordered. They advised they were mistaken on the earlier call and that they had actually 2 orders for the caravan park. I see this as highly unlikely. If there were 2 orders would you not send both at the same time with the driver. Especially when the wait for l deliveries was 1-1.5hours. Actually wish I had read reviews first as this seems to be an ongoing issue for several years deliveries not being a priority. Cancelled our order only for the phone to be hung up. Had to call back as had paid by card over the phone to ensure refunded. Got the train into Dundee and had dinner in under an hour. Not only lost a delivery customer but a regular customer now. Will also be letting everyone I know, know too. Absolutely appalling service.

Food was dry, luke warm. No update text I asked for through just eat, no one answered the phone either after 15 minutes of the phone ringing out I gave up trying to get an update on my order. Delivery was late from ordering to delivery I waited well over an hour and a half.

The food arriving early was amazing. However half the order was missing. Couldn’t get through on the phone. Tried to contact customer support on just eat and they couldn’t look into it until 20.50 as this was when the order was due to arrive. This is two occasions where we have ordered a set meal that we have lost items. We are a family of 4 so the set meal C suits us perfectly. However with no popadoms, spiced onion we had no starters which states should be included. Baba sauce hasn’t been included either the last two times we’ve ordered - only reason we are loyal to this restaurant is the baba sauce.

I had a takeaway donner calazone. The donner was very chewy and disgusting. Really disappointed as I've had them before but on this occasion it was awful

Food was tasty and plenty of it, however ordered a cheese naan, no way was there any cheese in the naan. Delivery was 30 mins after the latest given time for delivery. Asked for an update didn’t get a text until much later on at night once we had finished the food! No apology from delivery driver or even a couple free poppadoms from restaurant as a token of apology. Over pretty disappointed

Missing 1 rice and the chilli sauce with a starter so not ideal. Order originally moved from a 1900 collection to 1920, sat there till 1940 before it was ready.
