This is a great Indian restaurant, food is great, prices very reasonable, parking, bring your own alcoholic drinks.

Have been a regular delivery customer for many years and always have had great food from Sultan Cottage. The staff are friendly and polite and the deliveries are always on time and correct. The food is fresh, consistently very nice, decent sized portions and great value. I have dined in the restaurant a few times and it has a nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Following the closure of their highly regarded 'sister restaurant' in Tipton we thought we would come back here. In part because we knew some of their staff had moved here. It's been a long time since we were last here and unsurprisingly in that time the decor has been refreshed, it is looking quite smart. Perhaps a few soft furnishings might be a good idea to absorb the sound and 'soften' the room. It's a very large restaurant and I wouldn't like to have to pay their gas bill. It's your typical Bangladeshi restaurant menu so know problem with knowing what you are going to get when you order. The sheekh kebab was great, I would have liked it a bit spicier but the wife would disagree. The mains were spot on for us and most unusually the wife managed to finish all of her dupiaza which tells you something. Nothing wrong with my chilli garlic bhuna but I wouldn't have minded if it had been drier. The sides were very good especially the sweet and fluffy garlic and coriander naan. The chips were OK but would have preferred them a bit crispier. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive throughout. Even more pleasant was the bill, prices are going up everywhere but this is possibly one of the best value restaurants we have been to for some time. Note that they weren't taking card payments on our visit. Obviously being able to take your own alcohol is always a bonus. Large car park to the rear.

Ordered a take away at 5 and it didn't arrive until 615. It was cold and very much like eating left overs. I will not be using this service again. We have eaten in the restaurant many times with excellent food and service. My wife's birthday tea ruined!

Always order for delivery. Not 1c had a bad meal my favourite is the king prawn pithia. Quick delivery and always get 1 extra popadom for free. Will order again.

Been going to sultan for a long while, not sure what's changed but the food quality is no where near as good as it used to be.

Visited on a Thursday evening. The staff were friendly, courteous and polite. Food was delicious and served promptly. I would recommend this restaurant.

The food was not up to the prices charged with small portions, and had to wait for forever for the order to arrive and the further as they forgot part of it. The driver even said it happened frequently. I do not recommend going here and to another restaurant for a meal.

But it's been longer than 2 week ago since visiting the restaurant to me !

waited 3 hours just for starter and main complained several times but only interested in getting the takeaways out.not bothered about all the customers waiting hours and there were quite a few,complained again when we payed the bill but still not interested told them we wouldnt come again and they just shrugged.dont waste your money.

Not the best curry this time unfortunately, all dishes bland, and tarka Dahl too watery, it felt like they were running out of ingredients tbh

Tried last night for the 1st time and wow. The Garlic chilli Bhuna was a taste sensation and the lemon chilli rice was fantastic. Ordering again tonight for the family. Highly recommended this place

Ordered many times before with no problems friends round tonight very disappointing. Naans cold...food watery and way too sweet..not good or as expected will not use again with guests bit embarrassed 😳

Lovely food, but service very slow, took 1 1/2 hrs before they come to take our order! In all it took over 3 hrs to have 2 corses. Will have a takeaway but never again will eat in. Shame because the food was good.

My friend and I went for a meal at the Sultan Cottage it was local do we did not have to drive The service was a very high standard and the food was presented beautifully and the taste was delicious and at a reasonable price. We will certainly go again

Visited in a party of 20, always an issue for service. Do you serve all 20 at the same time or 6 or 8 at the same time. Enjoyed the food but the service in terms of waiting times was poor.

Take Away meal for two. Absolutely lovely food and great value. Staff are very polite and friendly. Have used this take away since lock down food has always been exceptionally good. Shall be eating in very soon.

We had take away meals on Friday night, chicken tika passant, murgi masala and two nan breads, they were great, full of taste etc. As I collected we had 10% discount. Definitely recommend.

Reopened this year. New menu is excellent. Take your own beer and book at weekends as busy.

Not as good as it was before the refbishment

We we're regular customers until a couple of years ago when the COVID pandemic struck, but we are glad to say they have recently re-opened, we had a very nice meal there tonight, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food, we shall certainly be visiting again soon, well done Sultan!👍

After two years our meal tonight was as good as it ever was. We both chose the same items from the menu and all were as good as before covid struck. Love the new layout and decor.

We have ordered before from this place and as we live in pelsall and thought wouldn't be too long for delivery delivered on time how ever order was wrong rang them said they sent wrong order and driver was coming to collect then he had to go back to collect our,s was delivered again not very warm items still missing so came for the third time to deliver cold items safe to say will not be ordering again

This is our local and we regularly have take away and in different times, eat in. The food is always excellent and would normally be 5 stars. Tonight, however, not so good. Tastey enough but far too runny and watery. Mine was plain chicken and should've been tikka. That said, it was all very hot and fresh.

We have been ordering from this restaurant for many months and the food has always been second to none. However, the last two times we have ordered our usual dish (pathia) it has been very runny and on par with a microwave curry you would buy from a budget shop. What has gone wrong? Has the chef changed? We are really disappointed and considering going to an alternative restaurant.

Ordered takeaway from here, got everything right apart from my curry, however when I went back to complain they exchanged it and the food I then had was delicious. Nice people, young lad on reception very friendly

Great food, great staff a pleasant experience.

Had a delivery of the salmon curry (absolutely divine) and my husband took a risk from his usual chicken tikka masala with the mixed tandoori pathia which was equally Delicious. Will not be using any other indian takeaway again!!

Food was good,sadly poor service between courses. Bring your own alcohol as no license to serve any, but no soft drinks as they have there own. At fifteen minutes between starter ordered and twenty for main course. When asked for tap water cold, we did not receive a drink nor asked again until desert! Not happy with that. They even managed to destroy a birthday cake, without a good enough appology this Friday night to the lady or party group. Again range of food is good and tasty a food hygiene rating of 3 given on 13 Dec 2016. Looks new and aparently clean though big cracks appear, to be honest can not see an improvement on 3 another inspection due in 2020? Would we eat hear again, yes probably but would like to see imrovement on service and waiting time here. I score places on cleanliness, service and quality of food. Food 5, service 4 and cleanliness 2. As posted state of mens toilet as when you walk in lools new but deceiving. Two hours 20 for a two course meal?

Our local Indian restaurant and we always have a nice meal there. This occasion was no different and we had a lovely meal with friends. A typically extensive menu of starters and mains. Service is prompt, but we didn't feel rushed. Not licensed so take our own alcohol, but they serve soft drinks.

Starting going to the sultan some weeks ago with friends and every meal has been absolutely lovely and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, looking forward to future visits and trying something different from the wonderful menu.

Food not to my liking even a mild dish was spicy second time now and two different mild dishes ordered and found them spicy even the yogurt and mint sauce for the papadoms very spicy!!! Staff great and welcoming unfortunately not for me

When ever I decide that I have a desire for a curry well this is the place that I would choose every time. I have never had a bad meal here. Every dish and we have tried a few from the good size menu has been so lovely. The service is excellent and very friendly. This place is well worth a visit.
