Beautiful food and wonderful atmosphere, my mum and I were a little late for our table but the staff were really lovely about it.

Excellent food and service, would definitely go again. Food was freshly cooked, to order, and staff lovely, service great as well .

Amazing service and food. We went as a large group and I have lots of food intolerances which they took very seriously and catered for me perfectly and kept making sure everything was okay, we had ordered a set menu but they cooked me something completely separate to cater for my needs. I can’t recommend them enough especially if you have dietary requirements!

Lovely ambience and staff attentive. We went for the Early Evening offer of £20 a head for a starter, main and rice dish which was a very good offer. I had the Gung Ta Krai - King Prawns in a crispy fragrant batter, there were three prawns, the dish was excellent. I then had the Choo Chee Gung - King Prawns stir fried in a creamy red sauce. This dish had a £2.50 supplement. I was a tad disappointed because I basically got my starter in a sauce. I wasn't expecting three prawns in a batter. I was certainly expecting a few more, maybe 5. I would recommend that the menu says that the prawns are in batter. Overall a recommendation with a caveat to ask more about what you can expect.

Absolutely delicious. This was our second time here, when we come to the bridal week, we visit this place. The food is absolutely delicious and tasty. We loved the salad and the pad Thai. Actually every single dish was delicious. The service was fast. We had a great time

Sukhothai always has a buzz. When you enter the restaurant it is almost palpable. A quick efficient greeting, a short wait on the benches, and then shown to your table through a seemingly full restaurant, your table emerges from the chatter, and you quietly congratulate yourself that you made a reservation. But I’ve never had a problem booking here, and a few moments pause and observation will tell you that the quiet efficiency extends to how quickly the tables are turned over. It is all done very well however, it never feels rushed, but when you look at your watch on leaving you realise you have been processed very quickly. The menu is quite comprehensive, and takes a bit of time to absorb. Our waitress revisited three times to ask if we were ready to order, but done in such a nice way it felt attentive not pushy. After the prawn crackers arrived we were surprised how quickly our starters came, we’d barely made a dent in the crackers. I had the minced chicken fritters, billed as a summer special, and they were tasty and mildly spiced. My wife had the chicken spring rolls, but didn’t eat them all, saying they didn’t taste of much. For main I had the deep fried and elaborately presented whole sea bass. This was excellent, served with a highly spiced sauce with herbs and peanuts. Also served in way which made it easy to avoid bones. My wife chose a prawn and noodle dish, hadn’t realised the prawns would be deep fried, and left much of her (quite generously portioned) plate, as she found the noodles a bit tasteless. She just felt she’d ordered the wrong thing. Now just back to the speed and efficiency thing for a moment. The waitress checked at the end whether we’d enjoyed the food. Clearly my wife had not, because there were large quantities of both courses left on the plate, but also she stated quite clearly that she hadn’t really enjoyed it. Nothing was done with this information, no expression of regret, empathy or the offer of an alternative…maybe that would have taken too long. We asked for the bill, the table was cleared immediately, and the bill arrived in a heartbeat. From start to finish we had been there about 45 minutes. Everything is done here so politely and seemingly gently, but make no mistake this is a well oiled machine, and you have to admire it. The ambience was good throughout, but the food fell below expectations overall. Just one very odd thing, they seem never to have heard of Ginger Ale (or Canada Dry) to go with whisky as a mixer. This seemed very odd for such an otherwise well stocked bar…but I guess if this particular mixer doesn’t move off the shelf quickly it might be a reason for them not to stock it.

Booked for the early bird which operates until 6.30. Arrived at 6.10 and was presented with the a la carte menu. Slightly naughty as needed to ask for the early bird 2 courses for £20 which was then produced. My friends had a great meal but my chicken curry literally had no chicken at all. Zilch! The staff went off to investigate and agreed and apologised for the mistake and to be fair took £12.50 off the bill. However the bottom line is I left hungry and disappointed. Such a shame.

Eaten here many times with family but decided to give it a rest after the last visit. A few of the dishes lacked punch and depth of flavour - not what you expect from a Thai restaurant. Recent price rises now make it expensive for a family and adding the 'discretionary' 10% service charge to the bill as a matter of course is very annoying. Customers should decide whether to tip or not, and how much.

Great place if you like thai food service and staff very good

5 min walk from Crown Plaza Hotel in town. I've eaten Thai food all over the world including Thailand. This was a hugely disappointing meal, ordered a mix starter "M2" and King prawn in Chile paste, all the food totally lacked any kind of Thai authenticity. The meal was more of a western Thai blend of some odd description. I did ask the waitress if she would recommend any dishes, no indication of anything.

Visited on our last night in Harrogate. Food choice was great. Staff lovely and helpful. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Terrific Thai.. We ate here last night and had an excellent experience. The staff were super friendly, the service was efficient and the food was fantastic. We had the chicken toast (lovely and thick) and pork skewers (super juicy). Then to follow we had a Thai red and a green curry. (Both really creamy and packed full of meat and flavour) served with a salad (crunchy and zingy) and the egg fried noodles that were awesome. The atmosphere was really lovely, very clean and tidy restaurant and toilets and really cute Buddhas throughout. If we’ lived here, we would make it a favourite I’m sure.

Absolutely amazing authentic Thai food, good portions and full of flavour. The service is so fast and efficient, all the staff are lovely and friendly. It was my grandma’s birthday so I brought her here for a meal and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The staff brought out a free dessert and sang her happy birthday. Thank you so much for making her evening special! We will definitely be back

My partner had surprised me with a weekend in Harrogate for my birthday & a meal at this restaurant. Service from staff was good given it was a busy Saturday night & all tables looked to be full but we felt like we were being rushed so that our table could be given to others. Starters were quick to arrive after we had ordered & were tasty. Our mains were ok - having ordered similar to what we order from our local Thai restaurant, mine lacked spice and tasted a bit bland. We were too full for dessert. We don't live local to Harrogate so I won't be rushing back!

A truly wonderful meal, with great service & an authentic atmosphere. My colleague and I shared a sukhothai starter, which was wonderful. My only complaint was the sweetcorn cakes were a bit hard, and the tempora prawn was a little greasy. Everything else was fantastic! I had a red curry with sticky rice, which was absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly, the venue is beautiful!🥰 Not a cheap meal, but delicious 🤤

Don't ever go there if your vegan or vegetarian. I sent the waitress to ask the chef whether the sauce of the vegan and vegetarian Thai Green Curry with Tofu had fish in it...and guess what, it did! Even the waitress agreed it wasn't even vegetarian. Not good...what if I had an alleegy.

Great food, very flavourful and moorish. The staff are friendly with great attention to detail. The maître d is warm, chatty and impeccably well dressed. Atmosphere is warm and the decor is gorgeous. Love all of the baby Buddhas and gold Thai ornaments. I’ve been twice and would come again and again

My wife is thai. She knows the real deal and this it . But she was a little annoyed that a sharing starter was charged twice.

LOVED our food at Sukhothai. Wonderful staff and great service. We had the Gang Paneng and the Beef Pad Thai. Chicken Satay for starter. The ingredients were fresh and cooked well. The gang paneng was AMAZING!! We loved our evening here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations in every way. Absolutely fantastic Thai restaurant!!! Visited with my family, beautiful interior of the restaurant and truly tasty food!! Had the vegetarian set menu for two, and was honestly so wonderfully surprised by all the dishes as all of them were YUM!!!!!! Usually with a set menu I am sometimes sceptical as some dishes aren’t really the best or one’s you would’ve chosen, but here at Sukhothai this was not the case, ALL WERE EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!! My mum ordered the chicken satay and steam vegetable dishes which she said were absolutely delicious as well! Would gladly visit again!!!!

Lovely bright restaurant. The food was delicious and well presented and the staff were very friendly. Great choice of dishes, wines, beers etc. We would definitely return when in Harrogate again.

Having frequented the other two branches in Leeds we thought we would try Harrogate. It may actually be our favourite. The service was excellent and the food simply superb. 1000% recommend of you are looking for modern fresh Asian cuisine.

Oh my goodness, what a place! First of all, the decor is beautiful, and the staff are kind and friendly. They promptly deliver the food, which comes out steaming hot and beautifully presented. And — most importantly — delicious. We had very tasty spring rolls, tom kha, and pad see ew (and a great passion fruit lemonade). Highly recommend!!

We live in Bangkok and regularly travel back to the UK on holidays, and we can honestly say this is the best Thai restaurant we have eaten in the UK. The quality, taste and presentation is first class and service 5 star. We would love to return but we are moving onto Wales in the morning Kop Khun lap

One of the best meals I've had in a while, Thai or otherwise. Food was so delicious, spot on. I had the Gai Sukhothai, and it was a wonderful sweet and sour chicken dish. Really nice. The khanom jeeb was a nice little steamed dumplings starter. Caramelised bananas for dessert was a wonderful end to the meal. There were so many things I wanted to try, I had a hard time deciding. Next time I come back to Harrogate this is a must-stop.

disappointing … food lovely, delivery ok. ordered food , delivery did not deliver all items on delivery. Called, no accountability on order. was told missing items were delivery issue. This is not correct. should always make sure your customers have the correct order and be reimbursed if not. sorry to say feel very let down when you have to chase your own order.

We booked for the first time having recently moved to harrogate and heard good things about sukhothai and wow this place was great , beautiful food , service impeccable, place itself lovely , we shall be going back again most definitely, if you haven't been yet you are missing out , wonderful and in the heart of harrogate , thankyou sukhothai.

Wonderfully staff, wonderful atmosphere, and wonderful lighting. You pay more at a bar for less. To top it all of the food is amazing. Definitely a place to spend an evening.

We hadn’t booked but were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to a table and drinks order taken. Opted for a sharing starter and chose two of the specials for a main.All the food was super tasty and portions were very generous. Restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening and atmosphere was wonderful. All the staff were superb and couldn’t do enough to make sure you were looked after without being too much in your face. Overall a superb experience and would definitely recommend

Good not great. Average Thai food with good service . Starters warm not hot but Tom Yum soup was hot but lacked in ingredients but adequate. Overall OK. Probably ordered the wrong dishes - Massaman Pork curry not great but not poor enough to complain. Ordered ribs to start which were warm and slimy not hot and crispy but not so bad to complain. Dumplings also, not hot. but not so bad to moan about to staff. Hence the OK review. Shame - could be wonderful as it wasn’t that busy. Just OK. Probably not enough competition in Harrogate for Thai.

Went here for dinner, had been visiting Harrogate and looking for Thai food on our Friday night. We didn't have a table booked up we waited in the bar for 20 minutes and had a drink, and they managed to fit us in. This was hands down the best thai food we've had in the UK, all the dishes were fabulous. Me and my husband had Set Menu B, an amazing array of dishes. Loved the mixed starter, the massaman and pork belly were also favourites. Our friends had fish cakes for stater, and then pad thai and curry for main, also all great. Staff were really attentive and nice without being overbearing. And the food is great value for money too, with massive portions. We will definitely be going back when we're next in Harrogate.

This is some of the best Thai food I have eaten outside of Thailand. Fantastic authentic choice in the menu with great options. Portions were maybe a little big, but that’s never a bad thing. Service was efficient and friendly.

Staying in Harrogte and opposite our accommodation was this Thai restaurant. The staff were friendly, it was very busy, but they didn’t rush us. They were happy for us to share all dishes, in fact they encouraged us. The food was good, but perhaps I would have chosen a more spicy dish, as both dishes we chose were mild.

Lovely staff, fantastic food, beautiful surroundings and relaxed ambience. Best coconut rice I have ever eaten. HIGHLY recommend this fab establishment for a truly delicious meal 10/10

Booked table for 2 at 820 on a Saturday night. Arrived and quickly seated with a drink order taken and very quickly delivered. Plenty of top ups of water which is a nice touch Food ordered and mixed starter arrived quickly lovely presentation and tasted great. Main course was specialty chicken and the beef curry which were both excellent Overall very impressed. The only bit of feedback would be on the red wine which was cold. Tasted lovely but would be nice if slightly warmer

The best Thai food i have ever had. The shrimp was top notch. Chicken was also good . But it would be better if they extend the rice menu nd include different types of rice like seafood rice , shrimp friesd rice etc. the ambience nd staffs were too good. Definitely going there again

Extensive choice of dishes, maybe a little too extensive. Generally good quality, although some chicken was quite " chewy ". Wouldn't stop revisiting, but be careful as to what I chose from the menu.

The food we choose was excellent both in quality and quantity ,the service by the young man was polite , quick and efficient , we would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Harrogate and will definitely return ourselves

Authentic, tasty Thai food with efficient and pleasant service. The golden pockets starter was cooked to perfection, The Tom Ka soup made vegetarian was still incredibly flavoursome and took me right back to my trip to Thailand. I tried the special crispy seabass with a basil and sweet chilli sauce - it was delicious and a huge portion! Would definitely go here again next time I visit Harrogate

Lovely menu for a pescetarian who loves Thai food! Everything was piping hot, beautifully spiced and very tasty. Travelling solo and felt the service was particularly attentive to that.

Had a starter and two entries: #7 pork ribs were very good. #R5 a grilled chicken dish was incredibly bland, would not order again. And D5 a sweet and sour fried duck dish was great! Would order again. Service was good, but slow. Atmosphere was excellent for our date, maybe not the best for young children.

4 people cost 0ver 200 quid . Really slow service as hardly any staff which is not their fault . Non alcoholic cocktails nice but very expensive , poor imho as we all need a sober driver . Some of the food cold and some plates cold when it should be hot which is really a shame as it actually tasted nice . Two of the party have had poorly tummy's today which is a first for this restaurant which is usually fabulous

This is by far the best Thai restaurant I have ever been too. The food is beyond excellent and the staff are the most pleasant and friendly people I know. I return every year in the summer and I'm always met with the most gracious welcome. Thank you for making me feel welcome as a solo person.

If you manage to sit down the food is good but don’t bother booking as you’ll be waiting up to an hour in the entrance. No seat and no drinks. Won’t be back.
