Me and my partner got 2x chicken ticka masalla 1x rice 2x garlic nann honestly this was lovely did not take lomg to come very happy friendly staff we will be ordering again

When choice closed down I thought my curry days were over. Then the star of India guided me back home. Really amazing curry.

I’ve ordered from Star of India a few times now, and it’s fast becoming my favourite Indian takeaway. The food’s always delicious, delivered pretty quickly and piping hot. I made a few special requests on tonight’s order and all of them were met, nothing was too much trouble!

Brilliant food again, got to be the best around as far as I’m concerned, good food and good people, what more do you want.

One of the best Lamb Passanda i've had to date. Incredibly rich and creamy, a deep vermillion colour. Garlic naan was sublime, not too oily, not too dry, perfect to tear. Bossman even gave us extra papadam.

Website ordering and collection really good, totally faultless. Free poppadoms a welcome bonus. I hate writing negative reviews, but if anyone else is still looking for a decent ruby in the Irwell valley, it must be said that the food was pretty hit and miss. Frustratingly, the butter chicken turned out to be that sweet cream red coloured dish that lots of naff curry places the length of the nation sell as chicken tikka masala. Below average for actual chicken content. Fries seemed overcooked, possibly reheated? Bread and rice good, sharer starter very chewy but tasty. Wouldn't recommend, on the basis of this visit.

4* for the atmosphere because you can't really eat in with a goid 'atmosphere' unless on the go. Ordered the chicken biryani sauce and it is the best I've ever had - not that I have tried many. Ate the plain naan bread alone without even dipping into the sauce or any other thing. Simply delicious! I hope it's not because I was too hungry.

Ordered Monday at 5, came 30 minutes later, red hot. The food was amazing, flavourful with lots of chicken in the curry

Not been here for a while since moving but ordered a few more currys last night with some naan etc and it was really good. I forgot to ask for more traditional ones so the curry was more English style but the flavour was nice, consistency good, chicken was nice and moist, the lamb was tough and not much meat but overall it was good. Garlic naan was much better than many around the valley but the peshwari naan could do with being a little more sweeter.

I tried this restaurant today for the first time, the take away service was fast & friendly & the food arrived piping hot, I have to say it was the best keema I've had in over forty years, I will definitely eat from this establishment again, my family loved it too.

The best Indian food we have had for a very very long time. Really tasty, delivered hot and on time. Would definitely recommend.

Favourite place for a curry, always delicious!

Food is always lovely and the gentleman that brings the deliveries is always friendly. Best Indian food I've had since I've moved this way. Delivery is always bang on time too.

Very good food and lovely staff great take away on

Food is really nice but out of the 4 takeouts I've had from here 3 haven't been what I've ordered. Tonight i ordered 2 poppadom with all accompaniment and a tarek special which is supposed to come with salad. When I got home there was no accompaniments for my poppadoms and no salad. Apparently someone crossed out the accompaniments on the order so at least I didn't pay. Last time I ordered from them I got a bag of chips instead of rice!

Both curry and scampi meal where cold had to warm it up , chips where hard and scampi was like eating rubber

The star of Rossendale. Widely accepted as the preferred choice for Indian Cuisine in the Valley. The food offered is consistently of a high standard and no short cuts are taken to ensure your meal is special.

Very good food, the prices are fair and the quality is high in star of India. Ate the zaly zully and wasn't disappointed. Looking forward to trying other things.

Good example of it's type. Standard menu but well done and staff are friendly. Occasionally awkward to park outside but the delivery service is fast and fairly priced.
