Best place for Chinese takeaway food in Glasgow.

Fabulous Chinese takeaway. I've been a customer of Stan's since I was a child and they owned the Moon Palace restuarant on Springburn Road in the 1970s. The food is plentiful, cooked perfectly, reasonably priced, staff are friendly and polite, what more can I say.?I do need to snap some photos, but I never take time, just want to enjoy the food.

We ordered from here as Curry Hut is closed on a Tuesday and we fancied a Chinese. Going by the reviews we were expecting something amazing. Or with some flavour at the very least! Wouldn’t trust the reviews as they’re all saying the same thing, been going for years, best in the area etc. Couldn’t be further from the truth tbh. I’ve honestly never had a Chinese so bland in my entire life. First time I’ve ever had salt and chilli chicken that tastes like fresh air. The curry sauce is thick and pasty and also tastes of nothing. Was that bad I was questioning whether or not I had covid but I could taste my juice and the prawn crackers that tasted old and had that dirty mop smell damp taste to them it’s hard to explain. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but you can’t be running a Chinese and putting that sort of food out and charging people money for it. Definitely won’t be back!

Best Chinese take away in Glasgow. We have been ordering food from this shop for more than 20 years & it is always delicious, wouldn't go elsewhere. Counter Staff always get your order right, they re-iterate your order back to you to ensure they get it right first time. Shop is always busy which speaks for itself & the staff are very polite & courteous despite the shop being so busy. Also, they have a buzzer system which they give to their customers to allow them to sit in their cars whilst their food is being prepared, again the management of this take-away is optimum as sought everything through as this stops too many folk hanging around the shop & beneficial for customers during the winter months.. Well done to all the staff at Stans Chinese take away, my mouth is watering at the thought of their delicious meals.

If you want a good quality Chinese meal at a reasonable price, go to Stan's. Never had a bad takeaway from here, it's my go to Chinese. Always recommend.

My first meal of the new year using stans gave me Salmonella poisoning I asked them not to burn my Pakora and get poisoning with their chicken 🙃 usually a good experience here though I wont be using them again under any circumstances

Best Chinese take away in the area, crispy shredded beef is always crispy, never soggy and the mandarin chicken is lovely. I'd also recommend their curry.

Bought Chicken fried rice from here.. not a lot of chicken in it and very bland tasting. Expensive too.

Just got chicken curry and chips dipped a couple of chips in the curry sauce of the curry and it just dripped like water stans sauce yused excellent now won't be back.

Food over cooked and unedible due to finding 3 x hairs in the chow mein ,phoned to complain but staff not interested only offered money off next order as if I would order from this place .AVOID AVOID AVOID as hygiene very poor

I have been going to Stans since he had a resuraunt in Springburn road.Loved it for years. But now you wait hours and I mean hours for your meal. Service totally around driver plan. I miss it but wont be going back.Customer service is non existent.

Omg worst salt and chilli chips ever no taste to them at all just over cooked chips with a bit of powder over them definately not salt and chilli and ordered fried rice curry sauce and onion but got chips curry sauce and onion Will never get from here again waste money food straight in the bin

Just edited my previous compliments from 4yr ago . At that time i 100% would recommend Stanleys but since new owners came in im really disappointed . I had been a customer for so long but now im making my meal tonight my decision to look elsewhere . Chicken Satay skewer meat was so tough chips were very cold put more of the food in the bin than what i ate . Very Very disappointed tonight 4/01/22

I could even levitate after eating just one scrumptious chip……. yes…. that’s right….. their salt and pepper chips solved all my life crisis (plural) !!!!!!!!! that’s just what stans Chinese takeaway does to you, please, take my word for it.

Called at 7pm for delivery, still waiting at 8.40 pm after calling again, called 3rd time to cancel order. Won't be using Stans again probably quicker to arrange Gordon Ramsey to make it.

l ordered sweet a sour chicken fried rice l got chicken in wall paper paste and it was luke warm stans was good years ago not now

Was so looking forward to my dinner every thing I ordered was cold waited 1 hour for delivery was fine but nothing was warm or tepid it was all cold so disappointed won't order again

Cracking food, szechuan beef and salt a chilli ribs is wonderful.

I don't know how this gets rated so highly. Staff are unfriendly lack any kind of customer service skills and are rude when you complain. Ordered a curry tonight. It's going in the bin, it could of stripped paint it's that spicy, but it's not as if I don't do spicy I'd think nothing of munching a vindaloo, but this was hotter.

My favourite Chinese carry out in the whole world! My family and I have been going for years and years and it never disappoints. They cater to your requirements and tastes and the curry sauce, breast of chicken curry or the king prawn curry is the best I’ve ever tried. Their salt and chilli chips are outstanding and the staff are lovely and accommodating. Would recommend it to anyone and I already can’t wait to order another one!! :)

No lettuce for a prawn cocktail. What's that about

Used to be a fantastic take away however chicken is disgusting, spongy square cubes. Dont understand why would sell such a revolting product after years of building a good reputation.

Food arrived 30 mins later than we were told. Had to oh me to chase up on order. Chips, Salt & Chilli chips and Salt & Chilli chicken were soggy.

This used to be good unfortunately lookx like its gone downhill ,ribs really tough and slimy chicken masked with chilli absolutely worse Ive tasted in a long time.

Typical takeaway Chinese food. Pretty reasonable prices. Certainly nothing to get excited about but it filled a hole.

Been using stans since it first opened in 1983. Lovely food at a reasonable price and the staff (which is mainly stans family) are all lovely as well. Here's to the next 34 years lol.

Stan's is the best Chinese takeaway in the North of Glasgow, without a doubt. The portions are always huge, they know your name when you phone, and the delivery is always quick. Been using them for 12 years now.

Worst chicken chow mein I have every had went in the bin chicken tasted off just noodles thin I may add nothing else and asked for a tub of gravy which was half full £9.85 to be binned never again must have been Sundays chicken not even a breast which was requested .
