Do not order from this restaurant. Accepted our order and left us waiting for 2 hours with no update and didn’t answer our calls. Eventually had to find alternative options at 10:30pm with no apology.

Best fish and chips in Blackheath

I’ve used this chippie face to face , so ordering a take out , you just don’t know. I had nothing to worry about the order was excellent

These were the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. Would highly recommend. Perfect chips - crisp on the outside, soft in the middle but not dry or greasy.

Too expensive for what you get... latest visit.. didn't understand my English so missed item off the order. We thought we ordered a delivery as we have no car and it transpires it was a pick up I thought just eat orders were delivered can I change to delivery or receive a refund. The food preferable

Wow! This place has had an amazing new refit. Now there is a number of tables to eat-in too. The menu has had a revamp too. The old favorites Cod, Cod Roe, fish cake and chips tasted even better than ever thanks to the new friers.

New decoration, lovely style. Fish & Chips is fantastic as before. Fast and kind service 5/5

Ordered via Uber Eats tonight. Whilst the chips were ok. The fish had worms in it. Really not happy, Mrs threw up after seeing it and took away from the kids too.

I don’t like giving poor reviews. But the chicken wings were very poor quality, nothing like I expected having collected from the Standard fish bar many times over the last few years. The same forthe curry sauce, very watery, not what I was expecting. Chips were just a collection of scraps. Very disappointing.

The fried fish is delicious. It is fried cod that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fish is also very moist. Although the fish itself is relatively light, it goes well with tartar sauce and mayonnaise + pickled onions. The fries are not crispy. , but very soft and not dry. It goes well with the authentic British way of eating it - sprinkle with salt and add white vinegar. What’s more surprising is the green bean puree. I don’t like green beans very much, but I actually think the green bean puree is delicious. It doesn’t have any green bean flavor. It’s very similar to the refried beans in Mexican cuisine. I like it very much. There are also spicy fried chicken wings, which are British-style spicy and quite moist and flavorful.

Food was on point 10/10 friendly staff smiles all round. Love this place

Beautiful fresh fish I was offered the option to have my fish seasoned which was a plus. Had a lovely chat with the owner who is more than welcoming will visit again.

I'm stuck in, feeling unwell. A friend of mine went to get me chicken flat wings and chips from this chip shop. This chip shop never cease to disapoint me. I don't know how you are serving this food. It is actually like cardboard. The chicken and chips look and taste like they have been sitting around for hours. I'm sorry to say the food was abysmal. The star goes to my friend taking time and effort out of their day to support me through my illness.

First time trying the fish today via deliveroo. It arrived hot and crispy. I didn’t order chips as one normal portion is too much for me to eat but I nonetheless received a small free portion in my order. It was a really nice gesture and I have to say the chips were very good! Great meal, I’ll be back! :)

Chips are underdone 😢 you know when they still have the texture of potato rather than crispy, soft on the inside 👎🏼 box was soggy and floppy when we got it home and the price is higher isn’t really matching the “Standard” - Pun intended

Sausages wrapped with other items when allergic from different meals. So when you order one meal the club it together with others to save on the packaging. Says I should have specified at ordering that I wanted each meal separate . Very odd!

Came here with a couple of mates to grab some dinner after moving into the local area. Really friendly staff even though we came in quite late. Fish and chips were the best I’ve had in London, chips were perfect golden brown which is pretty rare these days. Standout is the sauces. Homemade tartare sauce is spot on and the curry sauce is irish style which is hard to find. Happy to make this my regular!

Quality of food was good but very expensive, especially as chip portion was minuscule. Ordering process was slow and chaotic, customers who arrived after me were served first - it really shouldn’t take 20+ minutes to fry a piece of cod!

It is now £12 for cod & chips. Beyond my means. I think it is now catering for the well-heeled Blackheath, who may have fish and chips once a month or something. It’s certainly out for each for normal people. Shame
