Great food and service - definitely worth it.

Chips are not as good as they used to be. Crispy and hard seems to be always scraping bottom of the fryer, needs improvement.

We dined in on our way to see the Illuminations. Lovely freshly prepared fish & chips. Good fast service.

Reasonable prices friendly staff

This restaurant is in a back street away from the front but worth finding. The fish and chips are excellent, but so are the home made pies and puddings. I had a steak puddings which was great. They also do a great range of gluten free, ideal for coeliacs.

Not bad, had much better. Fish was OK but the batter was far too light for my liking. Chips were very soft and not much flavour. Service was excellent and friendly.

The food and service are only good when the owner is there, otherwise it’s chaotic. Orders getting mixed up and orders incorrect. Talking and eating in the back and not aware of the queue formed at the window. My sauce was forgotten and the food was very salty, we couldn’t eat it (I had asked for no salt and vinegar). The wrapping was also rushed and part of my fish fell out onto the floor. I think it’s time to find somewhere new.

Slow service and soggy chips, I won’t be back

Lovely food, generous portions, value for money. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, but I suggest taking a short walk/drive to eat on the seafront.

My elderly mother and nephew visited your shop today. I believe my mother took a tumble and cut her head Thanks for looking after her, once the blood was washed off it looks worse than it was. I do believe however she owes you a new plant pot.😁

I hate to day this, but the batter was very dark and the fish tasteless. I could taste soda in the peas. I had seen so many good reviews prior to trying it. Perhaps we got there at the tail end of a busy day.

Ordered 2 large fish and a large chips. The batter was thick, overcooked and really greasy. The chips were just not good. Greasy, some over cooked and others not raw in the middle. My 3rd time trying this place and each time worse than the last..

Visited with our grandson whilst up In Lytham. A reward for a great time we had at the golf driving range near Lytham. I have to eat gluten free and have had takeaway on previous visits. We ate in this time, all the food was excellent and really hot. The waitress was exceptionally cheerful and welcoming. An ideal end to our evening out.

Been a few times and was ok. Fish is expensive anyway but mine was dripping in oil so knew I was in for a nauseous night and literally was paying for it! Service mediocre, had to ask for most things that should be brought to the table. All in theres a lot of room for improvement with everything. I won't be going back.

Gluten free fish and chips. A real treat for me and within walking distance of where I was staying. Speedy friendly service and lovely fish and chips. Really pleased to have discovered this wee gem of a place. Recommend!

A good basic fish and chip shop with a small seating area. Food was average,could of being better. Fish a little well done.

Called in today (friday) for takeaway. Although it was busy, ordered a large fish from the fryer. Fish was cooked to order and didn't take long. Batter was nice, tasty and crisp and a big portion of meaty fish.

We were there 1.5 hours, service so slow, just 2 adult fish n chips and 2 childrens meals aged 4 and 8, and 3 cans of pop. Don't know how, but bill £40 but didn't have time to query as had to move our car......

Food was very tasty and also affordable. Sat in to eat and it was really nice. The staff were helpful and prompt. I ordered a few things off the menu to try. Chicken strips were good; alot of flavour and I rate them well. The chicken nuggets were average, what you would expect. Chips were well cooked and had flavour though lacked a bit of crunch. Cod was top quality, the batter was crunchy but not oily and the fish was flakey. My favourite dish was the mozzarella sticks; cheese was melted and flavourful and the breadcrumb just right. Curry sauce and gravy was above average too. Overall, it was a lovely place to eat and worth taking the time to sit in to enjoy the food.

Absolutely shocking. How a fish and chip shop on the coast can get fish and chips this wrong I will never know. The chips were freezing cold, the fish was tasteless and tough, even the mushy peas didn’t taste of anything. The price isn’t cheap either, with 3 fish and chips and 3 with brews setting you back £50, also didn’t even get the tea order correctly. Very poor experience and would not recommend.

Beyond expectations. An absolute original marvel. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Quick service. Hot food, hot tea, soft bread n butter and cherry pie with custard.

We have the fish chips and peas with bread and butter and a cup of tea for £6.50. It is the right size for lunchtime. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Restaurant is very clean.

First class haddock and chips which is praise from someone living in God's own county - even better if it had been fried in beef dripping 🤣

If you want quality fish and chips look no further than the St Annes Fish Restaurant. Quality food at a great price prepared and served by excellent staff. Well worth a visit to try out the restaurant for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Tried going three time now all between half 7 and 8 towards closing time and they’re always closed, singing and shouting I could hear then down the street and wouldn’t let me in cause they were”closed” but they should still be open, ran by a bunch of college girls no older then 22 who alway have an attitude when they serve me

Without doubt the best chippy in st-annes, the fish is double the size and quality of any other ,the gravy is homemade and on point ,the beans are heinz and the staff are very attentive , polite and friendly, couldn't ask for more from your local chippy !!

Awesome take away and restaurant. Despite calling just before closing the young ladies gave me a full appraisal of all options for Gluten Free options and assuring me all GF cooked in a separate fryer in a separate part of the kitchen. Great service and fantastic food all around.

It is a nice sit-down restaurant atmosphere. The haddock and mushy peas were good, and the prices were very reasonable a good lunch. The takeaway serves the same quality fish.

Friendly staff, quick service, clean, a good amount of food, no on site parking, but there is free street parking outside, situated a small walk out of the main town, worth a visit for some fish and chips.

A traditional, small business, presumably family run fish and chip shop. It's not the best I have ever had, but it is well worth the money.

Fish was greasy .cold mushy peas fish was bland and watery not cooked enough batter was greasy the lady asked for light batter was thick and greasy the chips where bland and so was the fish even with seasoning on that's twice now bad meal and pretty expensive when we've had better fish beautiful quality from heely rd chippy ...we'd thought we'd try it again but sorry not to our liking

Visited for the first time with my hubby. We wanted to sit in as we had our dog so I'd looked this place up before arriving as we didn't want to sit outside. What a gem, I had a home made steak pie with chips and peas, it was delicious big chunks of steak. My hubby had an XL fish, we laughed when it came gigantic but he managed it all!!! We will definately be coming here in future when we come to St Anne's much nicer than where we previously went.

NOT VEGETARIAN!! Ordered vegetarian gravy and was given gravy with meat in it. Ruined what is a highlight at the seaside. Travelled an hour out of our way to enjoy vegetarian chips and gravy by the sea. The manager did apologise and said the young lad serving was his first day and offered a refund which we couldn't accept as I have a noise sensitive dog. If this was the lad's first day why was he serving by himself within an hour of starting.

Visited this establishment after hearing they provided gluten free fish and chips .the food was satisfactory but it was not gluten-free as my wife and I we’re both I’ll for 3 days after visiting this restaurant.you can’t see them make the fish in a separate place and you don’t see the gluten-free batter they are supposed to use .I think they just gave us normal fish and chips.will not be visiting this place again .No transparency

Went there to dinner with friends, the fish was very good, but the chips were not up to the usual standard. It was also very very hot in the restaurant even though quite cold outside. Unfortunately, with it being so hot I really felt quite sick and had to leave a lot of my food. The two young girls waiting on tables didn’t seem to really know what they were doing. One customer actually walked out because they forgot to put his order in.

Terrible. The batter on the Fish was OK on the outside. Inside it was soggy and the Fish was rubbery. Ripped off for rubbish food. Won't be returning

Took the grandchildren for a final treat before term starts. Had a super lunch. Everything hot, well cooked and was very good quality. One of out party is ‘gluten free’ and her needs were fully catered for including excellent g/f batter. Staff were also very obliging. We have been to this restaurant on a previous occasion and have been very impressed with it. We would recommend it and will not hesitate to go again.

Chippy friday best chips atmosphere different every time in there makes me smile staff are great

We have been coming here for quite a while but felt that today the standards have dropped. Missing items, a microwaved pie (told by waitress) which slid all over the plate, stood waiting to pay whilst waitress chatted. Very disappointed today!

Called in at 5.30 for Fish and Chips!!!!absolutely amazing!!!!Fish large and cooked to perfection chips[not enough!!] but cooked to perfection.Service good and price good...Surprised at a few poor reviews. We will be back and will recomment to our friends and family.

Really pleased they do veg & gluten free options as my daughter has a restricted diet. Fish & chips were fresh, hot, crispy so tasty and the best I have had in a while plus reasonably priced. Thank you to the lovely gentlemen possibly owner who chatted about the airshow and the pretty smiley lady who served us. Definitely be visiting again.

The only things we found enjoyable were the chips. The fish were not very tasty and the batter was crunchy, rather than crispy. Plus the seating is very cramped and uncomfortable. Not a pleasant dining experience.

Teenagers serving a fish and chips dripping in fat . Obviously not draining the fish . Should of known better with no one else in there at lunch time. Will not be going back .

We decided to have fish and chips tonight and decided to try here , what a terrible mistake ! The chips were insipid , fish batter soggy , and the fish tasted off , as if the fish was frozen when fried . I am sorry I will be giving this place a wide berth never again

Great lunch at St Anne's fish Restaurant today. Excellent value too. Our 1st visit after searching for best fish n' chip restaurants in St Anne's and dog friendly too. All our meals we're large portions and very tasty. Staff were lovely, helpful and polite. Our furbabies were made to feel very welcome. We shall definitely be going back and would highly recommend it. We'll worth a visit!

Whent last Monday my fish was none existat so small .and they do not help people that go all the time through the year not even give the cards too only be four 4 ,the not right with there coustermer

The food is the best chippy food I have ever had, it is better than Harry Ramsden any day highly recommended best chippy tea you will ever have. They even have a restaurant in the back and dogs are welcome too.
