Incredible food, great service & as a fan of spicy curry, I thought I'd give them a call and ask for them to make my curry as spicy as possible - they didn't disappoint. It was very tasty for the first few bites, so I assume the entire meal was as tasty but I was in a different place during the rest of it. It was easily the hottest thing I've had from any indian. If you like it spicy, then order vindaloo, ring them and ask them to make the hottest curry they can - i think it was called Naga maybe... I can't quite remember, it was emotional. Extra nice touch also, we got free onion bhajis - can't complain!

First time customer but won't be back. Lamb (mutton?) tough, chicken chewy, dishes flavourless, artificial colouring, madras far too hot for a set menu dish. Don't like leaving bad reviews but only tried because of high rating here so only fair to other potential customers to be honest.

Excellent food, great service, good value priced meals. Overall 10/10 see you soon.

Ordered poppadoms and chutney got free bhaji Mains were tandoori ckn with bhuna sauce and salad...what salad? a bit of coleslaw mix..no tomatoes..lettuce or lemon can dry and flavourless. Lamb bhuna had 4 pieces of meat hidden under a mountain of sauce Do u offer refunds ?? I can bring most of it back Look forward to your early reply

Just ordered a Madras and we're really disappointed, it was tasteless and not even hot for it to be a Madras, naan bread tasted of dish water!

Ordered delivery, took nearly an hour and a half. Bolshy staff when queried. Food not the best so will be finding somewhere else

Ordered lamb tikka korma. Lamb was tough, very tough. Shame ererything else spot on but obviously key part of the meal. Will look elsewhere for a local indian in future.

Orderd lamb chops and they must of been prepared early today and put in the fridge, stone cold. I’ve never eaten chilled iamb before and would never of expected it. Onion bhajis also they same. I was expecting hot freshly cooked food, the only thing hot was bread and curry

This is where we usually go to get our curry however tonight we was left extremely disappointed with how watery our curry was! Really was not up to standard wish we saved our money

We use Spice Whiston quite a lot and often have the special mixed kebab. We noticed tonight the meat was 90% donner meat and hardly any chicken, lamb or sheesh included. On top of this we found the staff quite abrupt tonight when we ordered and this isn’t usually the case. Shame if this is the the result of being busy and a drop in service and food quality to make cost savings.

Lovely food and friendly service. I have eaten most Indian takeaways in Liverpool that are worth talking about and this is definitely the best I’ve had. All the food is prepared fresh and you can really tell from how it tastes. Not the usual greasy mess that you get at most takeaways.The only thing that lets this place down is that they only take cash payments only. Come on it’s 2022! Get a card machine! 😀

Had food from here many times, the selection of different curries is vast, spoilt for choice! Very tasty - i would definitely recommend. Shame that rice is not included in the price of the meal but this is normal for most Indian takeaways. Chicken zafrani and Northern Indian chicken curry are my favourites.

Lamb Rogan Josh usually very good. Not this time meat fatty, gristle, and dry. 3/4 in the bin. What,s changed?

Nice tasty food. Biryani very tasty with an omelette and vegetable curry sauce. Jalfrazy. Lamb pieces were small but fell apart. With green chillies. Keema rice was small but very tasty. 👍

As a regular customer I'm never disappointed, lovely food every time I order. I ordered tonight and added additional notes to my preference and was really touched when the chef took the time to ring me and talk through my request and to make sure that the curry was perfect for me. Highly recommend and the delivery staff are lovely. I've been to a lot of curry places over the years but this is by far the best and always my go to. Thank you

Tried ringing through, it was the weekend so it was busy as I expected. What I didn't expect was for them to answer the phone and put it down, ignoring me on the line while I hear them chatting and laughing in the background. They did this to me twice so not a mistake. Won't be ordering from here again after that. Rude isn't in it.

First time going here after constantly driving past and wanting to try it. Not only did it done late, really late. It also had a missing item, cane cold and was awful tasting. I am really disappointed in this. Was a huge waste of time and money. Will never ever go here again and would urge anyone else to order elsewhere. If I could give it a 0 I would.

Fab meal cooked how i asked for they even called me to check how i wanted it cooked. Portions on parr with all takeaways very good prices. Will be using again .

Tried this place for the first time tonight, and it wont be the last. 10/10 the lot. Having grown up around the curry mile Manchester and 2yrs working in India i know my curries ?. Curry was made to my own taste, they even called me up to check with me how they will make it for me (10/10 customer service). Food was freshly cooked , hot an fantastic flavours. Receiving my order I only asked for a receipt, something quite normal but suddenly the guy behind the counter became aggressive telling me I should have asked for it before... before what??? I told him I’m asking now after I hand over the money, which is normal... no he kept going on about my attitude in asking for the receipt... it was only when he gave me the receipt that I was being over-charged by £2 When I pointed this out he began swearing and cursing as he got the £2 and slammed it down on the counter. Just beware if this is a scam

Had our first take away from here after reading the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We had the set Sizzling Tandoori meal for two. Quality of food and quantity is excellent value for money. Delivery was on time and delivery man was very courteous and pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will certainly return. Well done to all the team. A card payment system online would boost business.

Can't fault spice village, we are a little bit out of the way for them but they have always been so accomodating, delivering hot food quickly, quality is next to none and soooo tasty. In three years we've never had a complaint or even a minor fault in what we receive. Would recommend anyone to give the food a try, we usually order the create your own meal deal for two and are always thrilled with the service and bargain price. 10/10, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great local place for quality food. Rally impressed with fresh Onion Bahji and great Naan bread. We had Chicken Balti and it was wonderful - not too hot.

We ordered a mid week special mon-wed £12 the food was lovely. Amazing value for money and you got plenty. Would definately reccommend, we could not fault.

Me being an idiot ordered chili chicken masala instead of chicken tikka masala for me and the kids rang them up asking why the food had chillies in and they were good enough to send out two chicken tikka masala's within 15mins. Legends

Got a take away from here tonight for the first time. The food's really good and the menu is extensive. Top drawer curry's, pilau rice and garlic naan also very good. Can definitely recommend this curry house.

First time customer, having read 1 or 2 negative review after the place...I thought best way to make my mind up was to try it for myself first hand experience what all the hype was about. I have to say I was very impressed with everything. Firstly the mannerism and the helpfulness from the staff where spot on, as I wanted to know about some of the dishes which prior to ordering which they explained so good that I could actually picture the dishes!! I was recommended by alot of people to try the set meal for 2 where i get to choose my whole meal..it is absolutely value for money and the amount of food you get for that price is excellent...it actually fed 3 people. My advice would be for anyone who hasn't had that yet trust me you wont complain about the place or the quality of the food and the prices are very low compare to the amount alot of places charge you nowadays. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED the Spice village Whiston!!!

Have ordered food from here for home delivery on numerous occasions but never again. whilst the food is always tasty its never on time, I know the delivery time is estimated but it shouldn't take almost two hours surely.Add to that Ive rang twice to inquire about my order and both times was spoken down to, I wont be doing that again. customer service should be a priority not a chore.

Ordered online tonight for delivery and received confirmation email! An hour and a half later I still hadn’t received my food! After trying to call 78 times to no avail and attempting to email using the contact email advertised I had no other option but to drive there! Asked where my food was and explained I cannot contact them- got no apology just said “we’re busy”! I explained it is impossible to contact them due to email not being correct and phone not working! Got fobbed off with some bull about the email not working because the bloke who manages it is in another country! Then said he was going to bag my food and started bagging it at the side! In the meantime another customer cane in shouting with similar complaints! The guy left my food on the side to stand and listen to the irate customer and another colleague arguing! I requested that he continued to sort my order out and he sat just wait 5minutes whilst I deal with him! I suggested that he dealt with me as I was here first but he didn’t and was rude towards me! I said my food was getting cold whilst he stood chatting to which he said it wasn’t mine! Therefore when he said he was bagging it, he was actually lying! It looked to me as if the orde hadn’t even been started! If you’re hungry and don’t want to wait a long time for food, give this place a wide birth! I definitely won’t be ordering from there again especially as the man dealing with me had no customer service skills whatsoever

Absolutely shocking service! Got on the phone and was immediately told to wait 1 minute, waited patiently for the guy to deal with me.... Didn't even get around to ordering food from here as the guy on the phone rudely stated that I was over 6 miles away! I am within the 4 mile radius, as it states on both my phone, the internet and google maps (which I have screenshot proof of) which direction he would have taken, who knows!! Happily took my custom elsewhere and ordered from a different takeaway and would never even attempt ordering from this place again.

Ordered here a few times and I have never been disappointed. They offer a wide range of curries and also children’s meals such as nuggets and chips for those who don’t like spicy food. I’ve always had the lamb tiki masala and I can recommend this enough. I’m not one for very spicy dishes so this is perfect. They offer NHS discount for those who work for the NHS which is helpful. You have to collect from the store to redeem this. Will definitely order here again.

The best Indian take away in Liverpool. Absolutely delicious. The starters, especially the onion bhajis, are out of this world. Massive portions, great flavours, good customer service (never waited more than 45 mins) completely recommend.

We’ve been to quite a few Indian take aways and this is by far the best we’ve ever had. Food is better than restaurant quality and the create your set meal for two is unbelievable value. I thought the reisa kebabs for starters were the best but tonight I’ve just tried the chicken biran. Gonna see if they will make it up as a main course next time. One more thing, the staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble for them. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. 10/10 every time

Tried a few different meals from here. All fantastic well cooked lovely flavours not your generic sauce plus chilli for heat. Dishes are all different taste wise meat is good quality no fatty rubbish. Always delivered within an hour and food arrives well packaged and hot. Only downside is what to choose all meals sound lovely. You can order via their own website which is easy to use never had a problem with it. If you like Indian you will love this little gem

First time customer very happy with the meals will be back

First and probably last takeaway at this place. Ordered a meal for two (£17.95). The starters were fine as were the side orders, However the two maim meals were poor. One of us had Chicken Ticca Masala the other Lamb Bhuna. The ticca was bright pink and the overriding taste was coconut. The lamb Bhuna was bland and a bit stewed but had plenty of meat. The garlic naan was extremely doughy and not what we expected. I have travelled to India many times so have probably been a bit spoiled but we were both disappointed in the food.

I usually go to the crown in Prescot or an Indian in Rainhill, tried this out after a recommendation and easily the nicest take out Indian in the area. Great menu, well priced and plenty of food given. Worth it just for the naan alone
