If I could give it no stars I would worst Indian I have ever tasted. Kurma and the chicken curry was watered down, chips hard, samosa smelt and tasted like fish. Naan breads was burnt. My children refused to try it it ended up in the bin and I cooked us all food what a waste of £50

Just had this delivered, will not be going there again. Curries very watery lamb very chewy, chicken was boiled chicken chucked defrosted curry sauce. Tried to eat it. Very bland. Only good thing was the delivery driver x poor thing delivering this rubbish

Had a take away for dinner. Awful. The sauces are like curry powdered snot and don’t taste of anything. The pakoras are doughy and bland. The chicken in the dishes was salty and had a rubber texture. We won’t be ordering from here again. It turned up early though.

Very disappointed. The Korma tasted like it was out of a jar and the chicken was very bland and dry. Defo won’t be back unfortunately.

the chicken in all of the curries was really tough. the curries themselves were OK but not hot at all and a little bland. driver apologised for being late but not his fault I'm guessing. bit of a disappointment as we ordered in for a birthday treat. probably won't order from here again.

Starter was lovely. Rice was solid and wasn't fresh. Chicken was tough.

Worst takeaway I've ever had. Tandoori dish not cooked in a tandoori oven, more like a microwave with a bag of sliced onions as the main ingredient for a £12 dish. Couldn't cut the lamb it was so tough, ended up the bin. Won't be going back.

This is my regular indian and it's absolutely lovely. I'm a picky eater and it's always very nice from here and the balti dal with potatoes is so flavourful and delicious.

Ordered chicken pathia, pillau rice, mixed starters. Spice tray and poppadoms. Arrived on time 👍🏼 Thats the only good thing I can say. Luke warm. Rice had no flavour Chicken pathia was literally swimming in liquid which had no similarity to any pathia I've ever eaten. Pale yellow colour, hardly any spice. The chicken tasted like it was just normal chicken breast, boiled then just plonked in an ocean of flavourless sauce. No marinating or spicing to the chicken. The mixed starters tasted greasy and really reminded me of greasy battered fish. By far the worst "indian" food I've tasted....EVER.

Very disappointed, this food was sadly not up to my standards. The chicken tikka was extremely bland, and the madras wasn’t that great either. The chips had to go into the air fryer, and the keemanan wasn’t cooked that well either. That’s the last money they will have out of me. I payed £30 pound for this, I’m extremely disappointed.

Very disappointing, was £33 for 2 mains and 2 rice plus a naan and popodom. The chicken was tough and chewy and didn’t eat it, only ate the rice and poppodoms. First and last time eating at the spice tree.

I found a hair different colour to mine in my nann bread. Phoned to make them aware of the situation to be told ots not possible as all the employers are bold and men. I stated I'm not sure all I can say is its not mine ots the wrong colour and length. To be offered free nann bread. No, I won't be ordering from there again. Tried doing the decent thing making them aware to be given attitude. Also the chips are disgusting and under cooked but I wasn't overly bothered until the attitude I was given.

The food was hot and delivered quickly. The food was very dissapointing, hard to describe, it was just bland and nothing special at all . I have made better in the house and won't be ordering again.

I never complain but feel i need to on this occasion. Spent 40+ on food from here aftee having a lovely meal delivered a month or so ago. The food arrived and we plated up only to discover it was freezing cold. Phoned to complain only to end up being accused of being a liar and asked to get the containers out of the bin and put the food back in so they could see what we had eaten. I am appalled at his attitude and told him i would never eat from there again.. He told me he didnt want me to anyway and to stay away. The rudest man i have ever spoken to.

Absolutely disgusting . We ordered a £33 meal never had from here before and it was full of water onion bajis we soggy. Rang up to complain and he didn't want to know I will never ever order from here again it made my husband poorly even took pictures

New to the area, since lockdown had many takeaways, but couldn’t find a decent Indian restaurant until now. Lovely food delivery, will definitely order again, and when we can will come along and dine in.

Delivered my order to the wrong address.. Argued over the phone that it was delivered to my house then.. Changed the excuse to it was delivered to a flat?! My house number and street name are on a plaque on the front of the house!! Annoyed isn't the word.

Do not usually post reviews but this is easily one of the worst Indian meals I have ever had. Ordered two set meals with mixed tandoori grill,poppadoms,mint dip,pillau rice,chips and naan bread. The massala was runny and the texture was as if made up by blended onions and did not taste of massala.the grill again had very strange taste which I cannot explain but awful.mint yogurt came in a big pot was also watery chips were raw never been so let down. Most of the food was not eaten poppadoms and naan bread was ok. I would think twice before ordering.

I have had many home deliveries and not ever had a bad meal. The food is amazing, delivery times are always on time. Looking forward to having a sit in meal here just as soon as COVID restrictions are lifted

Well what can i say. Very dissapointing, everyone have been talking about this place lately so thought id try it. Onion bahjee came soggy n like wet soggy patties. The tikka starter tastes very peculiar like chemical or lighter fluid used to light a bbq. Chips are god awful and the chicken jalfrezi resembles nothing of a jalfrezi iv ever eaten before. The mushroom fried rice was not fried in any spices therefore was just pilau with mixed in soggy slimey slug like mushrooms. Overall a terrible waste of 30 quid. Could i of given it zero stars i would of. Flavours Resemble nothing of indian cooking 😭

We've used the Spice Tree for years and have always had fantastic food, eat in or takeaway. Their set menus are really good value for money and I highly recommend. Best Indian takeaway in the area by far.

Starters not cooked through.. Curry like a cheap soup.. Inedible.. I know times are hard for businesses.. But at least make an effort.. Very very disappointed charged me £3.50 to deliver 0.6 miles away...

Just had food from this place bludy gourjus.

Ruined a Saturday night , food order was not fulfilled x 5 people ordered with what was delivered nobody could eat , definitely the last time I will order. Had to phone a further 2 times to try to resolve!!.

Our food took over an hour to arrive on a Tuesday night. Food was average, not a huge amount of flavour. The only positive was large pieces of shredded chicken. Nana bread was too thick.

Ordered takeout. I would give 5 stars for the flexibility in that they helped us and made our order vegan, which is great and I commend them. However I did not enjoy the food at all, the two curries we ordered (Veg Makhani and Veg Massala) were so unbearably sweet we couldn't eat them and threw them away. It was like eating hot ice cream. The side dishes (breads and daal) were bearable, but not something I would reorder.

Nice meal mint sauce was like water. I ordered for delivery as nobody home but it arrived one hour 30 mins early and our guest had not arrived so I had to keep the meal warm. Driver offered to take it back but what's the difference between them putting in the microwave for redelivery when I could do the same.

Ordered a takeaway from here this evening via just eat. I don't normally post poor reviews but decided to after I called the restaurant to offer feedback and the employee became defensive and offered no apology or wanted to take my points on board. I didn't call for a refund or any discount, I just wanted to give some advice and explain my disappointment. Butter chicken was very oily and lacked any spice (even for a mild dish) I was told this was because of the butter added and if I wanted it spicy I should call in advance and ask for spice. The lamb dish I ordered was very similar, little spice or seasoning The lamb meat was ok and I've had a lot worse from takeaways. The chicken was a little dry but I was told this wasn't possible as it's cooked in the sauce and they were told previously by another customer tonight that the chicken was melt in the mouth.. The order was late, and food needed reheating so potentially added to the over cooking of the chicken, maybe that was my fault. My £9.95 chicken tandoori lacked spice and chicken, the leg was cut from the thigh and squashed into a tray with lots of onion's. Usually there's empty tubs after a takeaway in our house but not tonight.. Advice for the restaurant - don't be so defensive when offered feedback please. Thanks

We ordered a chicken tikka massala and a chicken saag dish, both dishes were awful there was no taste of any spice. They were really bland and ended up in bin. A waste of £21. Extremely disappointed 😞

Lamb was inedible, curry lacked flavour and the meal was very expensive. Overall very disappointing and I won't be ordering from here again.

We ordered this weekend just passed , we are so impressed , the food came piping hot and tasted absolutely beautiful. The guy that answered the phone was so polite and courteous couldn't do enough for me. In these uncertain times we are all under a massive amount of pressure but the food and service was second to none . I will 1000000% be back . Customer for life. Thanks 😊❤️

Absolutely disgusted and disappointed with the food from here tonight ordered a huge amount of food we had family over and the food turned up cold watery didnt smell like it should have and deffinetley didnt taste like it should either.rang them up told them to come and pick the food back up and that we wanted our money back and was refused payment and shouted at well the council can deal with you now absolute joke 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Ordered 2 set meals on new years eve and was really dissapointed with the service, food. The order was nearly an hour late and was missing a chutney tray and poppadoms. The 2 onion bajhee starters were freezing as was the cold mains. I phoned to complain and was told to expect cold food as it was cold outside! I was offered 2 options, 1) new starters and my chutney tray to be brought to me but was told this would be an hour, or 2) next time I made an order my 2 starters would be replaced and I would receive my chutney tray and poppadoms that were missing first time. I phoned tonight to make an order and was told point blank that they would not honour this and I should of just waited on new years eve to have a replacement order. She was extremely rude and sarcastic over the phone even though I tried to be polite and explain I understood if they were busy on that particular day. Then spoke to the manager who wasn't any help either and was told I should expect my food to be early, on time or late depending on how busy they are! ( yes but not nearly an hour). I then explained I would now be posting this review and would not be placing any further orders and the reply was " do not blackmail us" and then they hung up. I feel disappointed as I have recommended this place to people previously, but would never recommend again. Avoid, avoid, avoid and avoid again!

Delivery was really fast. ( I was worried as thinking is it fresh cooking) it wasn't fresh. The plastic containers it come in was written on the top to explain what meal it was. It's straight out of the freezer into the microwave. Your better off picking a microwave curry up at tesco down the road. If I could upload a picture of the meal to this review I would.

It's very friendly, Services is very good meals was hot to the table fantastic atmosphere and even there takeaway services is brilliant hot food all the time.

I'd like to think I am a loyal customer to this company. The staff are ever so friendly and love to get to know thier customers. The 4 course menu is ideal for the price and very filling. The foods equality is cooked to satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Last minute reservation for that evening on a Friday bank holiday weekend was no problem whatsoever, we were invited to our table by the loveliest hostess, waiter and bar service 1st class ,casual not over the top.children were welcome and engaged with too which was a lovely touch. Whilst we were there there we groups of friends with kids, couples, a boys night out in the next room, walk ins, take always, regulars and new customers each and every one met with the same lovely reception. Food was perfect,with portion sizes just right & very competitive prices. Overall thoroughly impressed. Lovely restaurant, would recommend to anyone.

Food arrived over an hour wait,received the wrong order so had to wait a further 35 mins for food which was not nice at all.Wont be ordering from here again and it's a shame As we only ever have Indian food from there
