Spice Land in Bridgend

Fabulous food decided to eat in rather than take away. Small dining area but good for groups. Polite staff nothing too much trouble. Need to bring your own alcohol but plenty soft drinks so didnt mind. The best Markhani and butter chicken. We even took a butter chicken takeaway to have the next day. Highly recommend.

Sadly this restaurant has gone down hill badly . We ordered a chicken tikka and a chicken curry with rice and chips it was inedible . £30 wasted .

Shocking! Worlds smallest bahjis!!!! Actually the size of a cherry tomato!!!! Three tiny pieces of lamb in an entire lamb dish. Shame as this was always a great Indian restaurant but sadly portion size, and standard has really gone down hill

Awful food and service everything tasted of salt totally inedible! Spent £40, food arrived cold. Absolutely no flavour on curry, glupy and salty. Phoned to complained which I wouldn’t normally do but got nowhere. If you want a good curry don’t go here !!!!

The worst Indian I've ever been too! All meals look and take the same, like no curry I've ever eaten. Greasy, salty and all the ingredients cut up real small. Resaraunt smells of damp. Got rake away bit threw it away after a couple of mouthfuls. Inedible.

Ordered food 1830 via website said 45 mins delivery, received an email saying it would be delivered at 2025 called at 2050 told they were waiting for driver. Awful service.

I use this restuarant regularly, the food is of a consistently good quality and the service prompt and friendly. I would heartily recommend any of the Traditional Curry dishes as they are very much on a par with the best to be had in South Wales.

i ordered a vindaloo, it was too hot to enjoy, and i do like spicy food. all they did was pile loads of curry spice into it. no flavour at all

Meal was spoiled as they had put lamb tikka meat into a lamb pasanda. This isnt the first time they've done this ive had it with a chicken korma before. Won't be going again

Had a fab night food was amazing staff excellent . We will be back . Cannot say when i enjoyed a meal as good as this. Just didnt realise we could bring our own drink. Easily solved my partner did a quick run to the local supermarket. A lovely evening and local . Well done Spiceland

Came in a few days back with my partner. Our meals were spot on. Also have deliveries from here and can't fault it.

Too many good things on the menu so couldn't decide but when I rang up I asked if they could do me a keema curry which isn't on the menu. This was no problem for them and the food arrived a short while later. Keema curry, garlic rice and 3 chapatis. Absolutely stunning. Will be ordering again very soon.

Visited with a large group of friends in December 2016 and we had a great time. Food is good and the staff very friendly. Also bringing your own alcohol is a nice touch.

We had a really great evening at the Spiceland restaurant. It was our first visit and we will be going back. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The restaurant decor was very bright and fresh looking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Takeaway indian, not done this for a while.Trying again as sometimes hit or miss.Hot fresh and no burned chilli's this time.Better than before s we will be back.

Food is amazing, freshly cooked, the best I’ve had anywhere ! Would recommend it to everyone, proper fresh cooked food.

When we placed the order for home delivery (we live inPencoed ) the time given was 45 mins after phoning again the food arrived over 1.5 hrs later and we had to put it in the microwave because it was cold (tasty but COLD) so if you live local to this place pick it up yourself .Or go to asda a and buy a ready meal

We were a bit hesitant about ordering from here after hearing some bad feedback. We ordered anyway and must say we were very very pleased. Food was beautiful, hot and delivered within the time quoted. Will certainly lay be ordering from you again

Call in for food had chicken tikka starter lamb jalfrezi and garlic rice got to admit it was stunning never fails to please

Always have a takeaway from here. The food is great and hot on arrival. The best Indian around. Never once had a bad meal. I've even started to try new things on the menu. I do love the tikka naans tho.

Well surprised , had flyer delivered thru door , thought I give it a go , delivery ordered and within 50 minutes 2 stunning curries and starters arrived beautiful also large portions for a very reasonable price inclusive of del charge . Needless to say menu is on top of the pile in menu draw

Local to Pencoed, been there for a while. Nice traditional food, reasonably priced. Sit down or take away, usually busy on weekends, but dont let that put you off

Great food, attentive and friendly staff. Not just a takeaway! Just ask for what you want. I like my naan on the burnt side and they do it exactly like that when I ask.

Decent food, good portions and excellent value for money. Better than what you get in bridgend. Please note that they don't serve alcohol so take cans if your going for a sit down.

I've been coming to Spiceland regularly for the past couple years and I've never had anything to complain about. Amazing and delicious food! The staff are very nice and the service is just great all round! + the restaurant is always tidy :) I would recommend to anyone

well ill never be coming back. awful starters with the chutneys and sauces running like water! The chicken in my madras was rock hard! the curry sauce was very lame in taste and was probably the worst curry I've had...i was really hungry after a days work and still threw it all away. i was really angry to be honest. To be fair the service was friendly but the food was just terrible.

Got there orders our meal waited for stateres noticed cob webs tolled management he then wiped with knappkin where a massive spider appeared @@@@ then had min course, no knifes and folks ( had to get ourselves from another table) ....service terrible which is a shame because it has a great location. .. will never use again !!!

Great food and delivered when requested. Excellent selection of food, and inexpensive, shame they are not open 7 days a week.

Visited here on a Friday night with my boyfriend, we were the only people seated in the restaurant , we both had starters and a main dish with side orders. The food was absolutely delicious couldn't fault it at all, i would recommend this restaurant to others and will be visiting again. i only wish more people in the village would use the restaurant rather than ordering take-out. Support your local businesses!

Popped in for a quiet meal and enjoyed just that with good flavours, adequate portions and plenty to choose from. The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. A lovely visit.

I'm reluctant to write another great review for Spiceland because if too many people go there, we won't be able to get a table whenever we need it, but...My wife and I had dinner here again last night. I had Lamb Mogolia and she had Karai Ghost. Both were excellent.They always cook my Naan bread extra well done just the way I like it and it was great as usual.Parking can be a bit difficult but sometimes you can get lucky and park right outside the door, but it's worth a short walk from the nearest places. All parking in Pencoed is free.Interior decoration is simple and clean, not overly fussy like a lot of Indian restaurants, and it's the food and service we keep going back for.

Must say never had indian before, but would defiantly have it again. The food was really tasty. The staff very helpful and friendly. Would defiantly visit again and would recommend to anyone passing. This is also a takeaway for anyone that doesn't want to sit down and take home.

The food was fine but the delivery service was appalling. Ordered at 18:45. Food arrived at 20:30. Called 3 times and told each time that the driver was just leaving.The food is good enough that you should simply drive over and pick it up.

Popped in with work colleagues because of Tripadvisor reviews. Not disappointed, food was very tasty. But be aware....No Alcohol served and 50p extra if you pay by debit card. Maybe more if it's credit card!

Without a doubt the best Korma I have ever eaten. Ever element was fresh and tasty. The wait for takeaway was long, if they tell you 10 mins for pick up straight up don't believe them. It is totally worth the wait.

Haven't been in this restaurant for a while.Had dinner tonight with our son and his wife and it's still as good as ever.All the dishes we had were excellent and they even cooked my naan bread extra crispy the way I like it?!

Wasn't planing on eating in, but couldn't be bothered walking the food home. Made very welcome and by our server who recommended some items for us to try.Only soft drinks available due to lack of licence, however as it was the end of a long hot day this wasn't a problem.Food arrived quickly, was well presented and tasted excellent.We finished it all, a really good meal.

We have takeaway from Spiceland a couple of times per month, the food is consistently outstanding. Really tasty, high quality curries and sundries. We are big fans of curry (we used to have a Christmas card off our preferred take away in cardiff) but this curry house produces the best curries we have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

We got a takeaway from Spiceland whilst staying at the travelodge while we were down in Pencoed visiting family.Ordering over the phone was easy and the delivery was fast. All staff were polite and helpful and they even gave us some plastic cutlery to eat the food in our hotel room.We enjoyed our meal. The onion bhaji were a bit dry but everything else was good.The price was very reasonable.We will definitely go back when down in Pencoed.

Great food, always had excellent service and the menu is extensive. Only down side is the lack of alcohol licence, but you can BYO drinks. Takeaway is also excellent.
