Spice Hut in Redbridge

Lamb bones and not chops. Very starved chicken which had very little meat. Chicken buffalo pure muscle and fat again no meat. First time order. The other reviews are correct. Don’t waste your money. Buy a bag of crisps as they will be more filling.

This restaurant needs culinary skills. Even simple chips could not meet my expectations. The only thing I liked here was the Apple drink.

If I could give this a zero star I would. Honestly I ordered 3 kebabs, 2 shatkora kebab and 1 normal kebab, all of us had upset stomachs. Honestly, I have never experienced such bad food and issues! This place needs to be investigated!

We ordered takeout of 4 boxes of hot wings and chips and 3 lots of Finney. The hot wings tasted old and very unfresh the meat was very tough to chew, the chips were okay. The finney however was actually moldy, luckily I caught it before my children ate any of it.

Good, fast and tasty food. People that work there are really nice.

Service: 11/10, the staff are so kind and so giving, Masha'Allah! Personally, you don't always find that at a chicken and chip shop. Food: I found the wings to NOT be too oily, so that was nice and my family is obsessed with their kebabs. The kids ALWAYS want chicken and chips from here, I think that speaks for itself.

I’m a almost regular there ,the food was oke oke but the customer service was very bad.Just train them how to take the orders and how to interact with the customers.

Close at 1am, placed order at 12;15am and then called to confirm. Luckily i did, the grills was off...

Aweful!! Ordered Full Peri Peri Chicken with fries for £15.50. When order was served on table the sizzling plate was burnt, and full per park chicken served had 4 leg pieces. I complained that it should be full chicken they just told me that this is what they give. They should clearly mention on the menu that, should not call full peri peri chicken to mislead customers or person taking order should tell that to customer. It wasn’t great, old dried up and reheated on grill. Please try this place if you like wasting your money as I have seen other reviews where people had really bad experience with other food items too.

No taste at all, food just slapped with every spice known to man. hands turned yellow and stayed that way for 2 weeks. Food was Freezing and Hot at the samw time. i see why they take the money beforehand.

Food was red with spice and no flavour. Seating was good. A lot of space. Food was drowned with spice. Would not reccomend

Popped in here after a wedding I attended to take some spicy donar home. The brother that served us was friendly and helpful. The donar was delicious. We will be back. Keep up the great work

Bengali oriented recepies, turmeric use is over as fingers went yellow, wings could be from baby chicken which would result in more taste, lamb chops was okay, seekh kebab was not upto standard.

Very disappointed with the service…went there on 01.01.2025 at 7:30pm ordered 3 mac burgers meal, but had to chuck them in the bin reason being found the hygiene level very poor. The person serving and making the food didn’t have any hair net or gloves on and were handling food with bare hands, the mouth of both ppl were filled with some red coloured substance the cook was even unable to speak properly due to mouth being full of that substance while preparing the food, he was talking while standing in front of the cooker while preparing the food speaking while substance in his mouth was being splattered everywhere. Was very disappointed and didn’t feel the food was able to be eaten so had to chuck everything away.

We usually get the Naga mix doner from here since it's one of the few places that do it well. Fantastic prices for the portion sizes, and one place I've been ordering from for YEARS. Top tier doner meal rating from me.

The restaurant got the whole order wrong. I asked for 4 donar burger meals, 1 l with extra burger patty which was missing. All 4 had the wrong spice level. I asked for 2 with no spice for the kids and 2 with medium spice. They were all exactly the same all really spicy. I asked 4 Dr Pepper but instead I got 2 Barr Cola, 1 Tango Apple and 1 Tango Orange. If they didn't have something in stock then they should have called me or even just cancelled the order. Not going back to them again.

Been going here as long as I can remember but these guys are legendary when it comes to flavour bring many friends and family here great value for money and open till late their wings are to go for at times can be dry but slap the sauce on and you forget all about it

We ordered a few chicken biryani, but the overall taste was rather disappointing. If you're unsure, it's worth considering the reason for ordering it. I would kindly request a refund, as the dish was disappointing due to its poor taste, with the addition of dal but no salt, and the hot was excessive. We spent money because we want good taste but was horrible. 12.50 pound .it's look like 2 pound biryani taste.

Very nice staff, and food is generally good and well-priced. They can take ‘please make it a little spicy’ to an extreme, however, like with today’s shatkora doner. I have a very high spice threshold, and I was still struggling with it today. Be careful when asking for extra spice, would be the advice!

I wanted to try naga donner as ive heard so much.I arrived here and placed a phone order for naga donner in nan and a side order of chips. I was told 10 minutes, I went in few people about lovely vibe of people eating etc.. charged £9. I must say since I've never tried this it was on the hot side 🌶 😂 I will be going again no doubt and try something else. Any recommendations

Known for lamb doner however the quality is now rubbish, portions are much smaller and price significantly increased.

Tried their chicken wings that were great a bit spicy as compared to other chicken shops. Had their chicken doner that was quite spicy but I like it that way, enjoyed the meal one good thing is that they are not serving coca cola or Pepsi etc 👍👍

We been here with my husband and our son, very kind staff they have the best knowledge how to serve a customer, and everything was very nice . Food is fresh...shop is very clean. Definitely coming back another time ... when they ask you want extra spice... they mean it ... it's spicy 😋 I love it

Dhall was not as much as I usually recieve. the briyani was too salty and some of the rice was very crunchy...not nice at all

Ordered B meal- lamb donar with chips and nan and Chicken Tikka Biryani.. both very nice with lot of flavour and fresh. They have done new lighting so looks very nice. Would recommend highly. Customer service excellent

the food was cold when we received it, the lamb doner had nearly one large bottle of oil, I could probably cook a curry with the oil that was dripping from it. the doner was cut by someone who doesn't have a clue, a few thick pieces and few thin, im never order from this spice hut again.

This is one of the most awful restaurant I've ever went to! The lamb tikka and the tandoori lamb chops that we ordered was undercooked and my sister was about to choke!! The tandoori chicken was served cold, yet although we complained they just did nothing whatsoever. And since we ordered a medium platter, no drinks were served. Never coming to this place again.

Okay so the customer service was okay but the food quality, not so great. Me and my family went ahead and ordered some fried chicken wings and kebabs. When the food arrived, the kebabs looked burnt and tasted old. However, when i was munching on the wings i suddenly noticed something poking out and it was stuck inside the chicken. I pulled it out to discover there was a small piece of metal wire in my food! I was disgusted and told my dad and he just when to the worker showed them it quietly because he didn't want to be rude and create a scene. I will never go back there...

I asked the boy to wrap my chapati in foil, but he said we give this in a plastic bag and too small & expensive chapati

Went there and ordered a dinner meal and took it home to eat and ate a little bit of it to see a hair in it. It was long dark and disgusting, honestly made me sick and vomit, needed up throwing the whole thing away. Got food poisoning from it the next day never again absolutely disgusting 🤢. Stay away for your safety.

Worst experience 🤮 I have ordered peri peri chicken full after some time when I got my food I have noticed that there was plastic bag and when I went to staff they said it’s polythene so here the story is the full chicken comes with four pieces they are say we will give another piece ? I have asked them question it’s plastic and you cooked on heat so you assure us that plastic was not mixed with food when you put on heat and then they were rude ? I have been to many restaurants but I never experienced such behaviour from the one of the staff . I hope shop manager see this review and it won’t repeat for someone else .. Thank you
